i am so tired of the new trend in gaming being "EVERYONE IS ROMANCEABLE DESPITE GENDER!!!! and then no acknowledgement of sexuality beyond that. palia avoided this by having explicitly gay and bisexual references for non-romanceable npcs AND romanceable npcs

but so many romances in stardew suffer from this (not all, but enough that it feels halfassed), the new da, bg3 seems to do this too (pls correct me if im wrong on this bc i havent gotten to play it and id LOVE explicit bisexuality for fucking once)

characters need to go back to having exclusive sexualities. there needs to be exclusive romances again in gaming. i am pleading. romance feels so fucking empty how its done now bc no one wants to put character in the writing
