Okay this might be a silly question but I trust my loyal tumblrinas more than anything soooo... I have this paper lantern string light that I absolutely adore but idk where to put it?? It's currently on my curtain rod overtop of my curtains (not above but like on top of the curtains) but idk if that's where they should go. I have a few more string lights btw so if anybody has any fun ideas for them pls lmk 🙏

#so for context i just think they're really cute but also #the person i've been living with in my dorm for the past two years thought they were really cute so she bought many for the dorm #and we're not rooming again next year bc she wants a single (fair) but i don't #and so she ended up giving me like two sets of string lights #to add on to the other two i already had #well technically one is this paper lantern thing and the other is this clip thing #and then i bought another set of normal string lights. so now i have five total.#CAN I TELL YOU ALL SOMETHING #okay so my string lights with clips for photos that i just mentioned?#it's got. four pictures of the onceler on it. two are literally just tumblr memes that i stole from here #i'm cringe but i am free #there's a fifth picture of my dog and the rest of the clips have nothing on them!#so. if you wanted to know what level of insanity you're dealing with here on iiboronii it's that #i remember seeing someone with an entire onceler wall so i'm glad to know i'm not alone at the very least #but yeah anyways i have... at least two more sets of string lights that are not in use right now #the one that can color change is most likely coming back to the dorm with me but i will put it up here for now bc. well. i like it #i tried putting that one over my bed here but she just did NOT want to stay. so.#so anyways if anybody wanted a set of string lights... i'm basically rich in terms of string lights

just going about my day idly contemplating how some of the ways hawke can interact with a romanced anders are not at all unlike how they interact with leandra (and a bit of carver too, especially with a purple hawke), and then thought about my hawke in the timeline where he romances anders and was hit straight in the face with 'was he ever actually in love, or was he just desperately trying to renegotiate with his mother's ghost in any way he could' and now i need to lie down. this is the power of dragon age 2

Lady Raimille. The picture painted by Stacia's tale was everything an orphaned child could want from a parent. Everything except that she'd passed on too soon — but not before giving her foster son one last gift.

The noblewoman’s real portrait hung above them, enshrined in Leofard’s quarters. Presiding over his affairs and his family; watching over the man himself. Moro'a knew that paintings like this cost a considerable sum to commission, and that taking care of them required specific knowledge and attention; unexpected obligations for a sky pirate.

But the painting gleamed, immaculately free of blemishes. “I had wondered as to the origin of his vessel's naming,” Cait Sith said softly, his voice touched with emotion. “‘Tis a most beautiful painting.”

Moro’a’s time in Ishgard had also taught him that portraits like this one were made to memorialise — a likeness captured in brushstrokes, preserved from time. Remember me as I was, in this moment. Remember what this person means to us. Situated where their loved ones could gaze upon them, and never forget.

I doubt I'll ever feel worthy to sit where he sat.

Throughout their adventures, Leofard had pretended as though the portrait wasn’t there, and it was all Moro’a had needed to know not to bring it up. He’d accepted it without judgement, without ever considering otherwise. What was he here for, if not to hide from ghosts and broken hearts; from memory?

But now that Stacia had told them what Leofard would never impart himself, the pieces that made up the leader of the Redbills had finally begun to click: why a man who prized freedom so highly would build his new home a stone's throw from the Holy See, and why the loss of his airship had made Leofard retreat into himself, like a creature seeking familiar refuge.

It seems she kept him safe until the very end, Utata had said, and Moro’a’s heart had clenched so tight that he thought it might shatter.

It wasn’t any of his business. The voidsent had been stopped, and Cait Sith had found a new home. His time with the Redbills was coming to a close. It’d been an engaging distraction, which was precisely what Moro’a had needed; there were no stones left to overturn, no more accidental revelations to be had. He would go his separate way, into the unknown, and then…

Later, as he was stowing the few essentials he’d brought into the manacutter, Moro’a heard footsteps approaching. He turned to see Leofard, who was already dressed in a clean set of clothes and red-tinted goggles. “I almost forgot,” the sky pirate said, as breezy as could be now as he held something out in his hand. A Redbill scarf.

“You didn’t have to,” Moro’a murmured, feeling a strange mixture of reluctance and guilt.

“And I say otherwise, Warrior. I reckon you’ve done more than you’ll ever need to to have earned this.” His hand stretched closer, and Moro’a considered refusing. He was ready to quit this place, to move on. I’m not who you think I am, he wanted to say.

Instead he found himself reaching out for the scarf, and tucking it in with the rest of his things.

If, after he'd said his farewells, his hand reached under the collar of his shirt to gently hold the necklace that rested against his chest, to remember, he was the only one who needed to know.

Just me and my overactive mind facing the nighttime again 🙃

#hopefully the meds work but while waiting for them to kick in I get so damn nervous #and sometimes I do get nights where even on my full dose my anxiety is too overpowering and I just. Do Not Sleep #I mean I do eventually but not without spiraling first :')#way before I was prescribed sleep meds my longest was 3 nights without sleep while on a VERY stressful trip #I felt like I was gonna die and I did not sleep until I got off the plane and was back at home #(this was like 15 years ago already but it still haunts me fhfgsgdh)#my best friend and I were having a conversation today #and she was like 'not sleeping can make you hallucinate right?'#and I was like :') I get the hallucinations in other scenarios too #BUT I also get what she meant #not sleeping is really bad for me mentally which is why I can't do 'sleep restriction therapy'#and fun fact #a lot of my OCD obsessions revolve around sleep!!!#which is 'awesome' because laying in bed with insomnia makes my OCD flare up so like #the two get to feed off each other and make my life a living hell!!!#and don't even get me started on my sleep paralysis episodes #(which I like to think of as just my brain misfiring but that my aunt tells me is saints or demons trying to talk to me)#'cause she hallucinates too but hers are like 'spiritual' or whatever #same with my mom's hallucinations as well #and to add fuel to the dumpster fire of my mind and body is the fact I've been overcaffeinating again #which I've known not to do ever since I was in middle school and saw the pediatric cardiologist who specifically said 'hey don't do that'#fast-forward to adulthood and I still haven't learned how to handle anything #like. I have heart meds and sleep meds and migraine meds and IBS meds #and yes meds are good but like. I know you need to incorporate lifestyle changes as well #which I do for like 2 weeks until the next time I fuck up #I've been so irresponsible lately but like. ESPECIALLY today #didn't eat #took some meds on an empty stomach and forgot to take my other ones at all #had too much caffeine #stressed out over some stupid situations thanks to overthinking

#technically its a re-redesign but the previous design was from before the game was out and before she had a solidified personality #so it was basically an oc at that point #anyway i am a very big fan of how this turned out. especially the shading #art #my art #texas chainsaw massacre #sissy tcm #sissy slaughter #tcm sissy #to go off on character design stuff; i made her dress pink/purple to give her her own color #since the hitchhiker already has a similar forest green #and i gave her pants under her dress because. well shes the only one in the family not wearing pants #which would be fine to me if she wasnt the only girl #i gave her a cleaver because all of the og family have unique weapons and i thought she deserved one too #i gave her pigtails because her personality is quite sillyfun and i wanted her design to reflect that #(plus the original redesign had them and i just liked how they look)#the bruises are something i give practically all the family except the cook #because in the movie he abuses the other two on screen. which i think is fun (AS A FULLY FICTIONAL CONCEPT)#what else what else. i gave her a belt sash to add more detail to the dress #and to separate her chest and her waist #and i thiink thats it. anyway i love character design. if you couldnt tell yet #abuse mention

Mom called me a shitty roommate today bc after months of her telling me to rent a uhaul (too young to do so) and then flaking out on me whenever I asked her if we could it on x day, I gave up on trying to get my bf's heavy TV and dresser and ordered a mountable tv, instead of buying more storage totes so that I could add to the ever increasing stack of totes in our guest bedroom

#leading up to and since raine moved in i have thrown tons of shit away and so has he #we both moved from larger rooms into a smaller shared room #meanwhile my parents moved into a bigger room with a bigger closet and claimed the garage for storage space #i have several decorative items that would look cute out in the livingroom without clashing with her style #but she considers all my items ''clutter'' so i have to keep them in my room or in a tote #except all my totes are already occupied by other shit #i threw away 90% of my friends items that i was storing here in an effort to make my room tidier #(and to ensure that my items are not littered around the livingroom and kitchen)#i got a bed frame with drawers so i could store items in there #i am not a horder and neither is raine but we have to condense two peoples worth of things into one room and two closets #and like i said before we both had bigger rooms before moving to this house #my room was way larger before. even with my giant ass desk (that doesnt fit in my room) my old room #didnt look cluttered bc it had lots of open space. even tho that was a 2 bedroom apartment #and this is a 3 bedroom duplex with garage the square footage in this house was budgeted poorly #my hallway is literally a snail spiral shape so a lot of space is lost to the curvature #not to mention my parents have bought more shit than we had at the old place to fill up space that we all shared in our old apt #except i am going to mention it bc i think this is totally unfair #i get that my mom has never liked when my room is messy. she's my mom and she is going to nag #but she does not have to use my room or bathroom (she has her own. thats bigger than mine)#and i keep my bathroom clean for guests #and she has made it clear that she is unwilling to help me even when i ask and tried to plan out ways to cheaply get more furniture #raine has had tote boxes in his car since he moved in bc he knows that we dont have a place for them inside #not to mention several collectable swords (including limited edition skyrim sword and genuine damascus)#which is kind of a fucking road safety hazard since they are real blades #but he puts up with it bc he doesnt want to add to the clutter #i bought this tv and wall mount bc i know that as long as my tv is grounded to a dresser i cant rearrange my room to make more space in here #and im donating my current tv to the guest bedroom bc they wont buy one for it #they also wont buy a dresser for it which is why my mom was hounding me to rent a uhaul for raines dresser #(i cannot stress this enough. we are both TWENTY. how are we going to rent a car. we need older adult help!!!)

Head in my hands wondering if I'll have to cut the entire Chume Labs section out because it's more suited to being a different chapter, but also knowing the next chapter can't have it either so I might have to cut it from this fic entirely aaaAAAAAAAAAA

#i talk #fic talk #I was thinking I could stay up a while and try to finish this chapter so I could maybe post it tomorrow #but this is really eating me up #On the one hand... a solely Fuga chapter would be great #on the other hand... this chapter is supposed to show their growth from Fuga to the Chume Labs era #(even if it IS 99% about Fuga)#because that's what the chapter's theme is about #Agh #I'll keep chipping away at things regardless #Anyways for folks who like numbers #so far of everything I've already written / edited I have 5588 words #If I solely make this a Fuga chapter there are 1135 words left in my draft #meaning the final total of the chapter will be around 7000 words more or less since I tend to add a lot more stuff when I'm editing #I've got 1870 words (approximately) written for the Chume Labs section #which means if I do the entire Fuga + Chume Labs part this chapter will probably be just under 10000 words #@ __________ @#Maybe I should split this chapter up and make the Chume Labs part an interlude #Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm #Or maybe I'll throw it in Chapter 4 after all. Hell I dunno #We'll see how I feel once I finish editing all the Fuga stuff #I'm pretty happy with the Fuga stuff though but oh boy did it kill me #I think the reason I'm waffling about the Chume Labs bit is because technically it wasn't supposed to be included in this chapter #I had the idea two (?) ish weeks ago and went ''Wait that's a great idea to add''#which is how 99% of my writing goes and is one of the reasons why everything takes so long lol #But anyways. Yeah it's looking like no chapter update today (or I guess tomorrow depending on your timezone)#Sorry guys!#But it's almost done

It always seems a bit unbalanced on The Great Food Truck Race when there will be multiple teams who are cooking a wide variety of complex dishes with 10 different components and a bunch of prep work, and then there's that one team who like... exclusively serves plain crepes with some premade nutella on them, or plain waffles with just some whipped cream and cut up strawberries lol...

#AND then they'll be the winning team or whatever and its like... wow... imagine that... I wonder how its possible that they can get #more dishes out faster than the other teams... hrrmm.... lol #Not that they aren't still doing work like. obviously it's still hard and there's still a sales component and other stuff to be done #but It's just kind of unbalanced seeming when one group is serving like grilled shrimp sandwich with 3 homemade sauces and a #slaw and two sides and the other people are like... slicing fruit and drizzling a bottle of hersheys chocolate syrup on top of some thing #they just threw in a waffle maker for a few minutes #You see the footage of the teams cooking and everyone is like prepping a ton of different things and meat and vegetables and they have #boiling pots and pans and fryers going and tossing stuff in bowls and compiling these multi component dishes #and then That One Team is always just casually slicing bananas or doing some whipped cream in a bowl gbjhbhj #They usually dont even make their own caramel or chocolate sauces or anything. Nutella out of a jar babey!#So all you're really Making is like... whipped cream. and some sort of batter (waffle. crepe. etc)#If I got placed in a competition like that and I found out one of my opponents just sold waffles or pancake sticks or etc #like that I would just be like... okay.. I'm out then. bye. OR I would pivot and be like.. right I shall remove all complexity from my menu #whatsoever and just start selling plain balls of fried dough with powdered sugar or plain fries with nothing on them or something lol #update: OH my god.. one of these teams on a newer season is selling a 'bonus add on' where you can add #cinnamon sugar and caramel syrup (possibly not even home made by them???? just from a bottle) for $5 extra on your order #If I bought a $12 waffle from a food truck and they were like 'hey do you want to upgrade? for only $5 we'll drizzle a teaspoon #of caramel and sprinkle a little sugar and cinnamon on there!' I feel like I would cancel my order and walk away.#that is a $1 add on at MOST.. for a freaking DRIZZLE of caramel sauce LOL #and of course this team is in the top 3... squirrel.... come ON...#Which I know all these shows are fake and bad and whatever. I dont watch them seriously. I think I liked the first few seasons #but then anything past like season 4 (or whenever they started having established people who already ran food trucks on there #instead of taking a bunch of peope who had never run a food truck before and giving them one - which is a much more equal footing #premise to me) I have just been increasingly annoyed at and I really just have the show on for background noise #whilst doing chores or something and am not genuinely paying that much attention but... my god.. At least try to pretend its fair lol #WHICH I KNOWW... you can say 'well the other teams could do similar if they wanted.' or blah blah. tehcnically it's THEIR choice to #make stuff from scratch and not sell a bunch of packaged frozen chicken wings dropped into a fryer over a shitty 6min waffle or etc.#but... I will never respect a $5 for 1tbsp of caramel sauce type of situation.. even if they win.. you will always be losers in my heart #So many teams with real cooking skill & good concepts go home to the 'slap nutella on fried dough' people... how...
