I made Steve a math teacher in one of my AUs and a lot of people were like, ‘I don’t think Steve is good at math.’

But I do!

I don’t think he’s great a mental math or necessarily all that fast with it but I think if you give him some paper and time, and he’s figure it out. Steve has been shown to be a pretty good problem-solver, the bulk of math is just ‘figuring it out.’

None of this matters because most of the time, we make Steve a second grade teacher so he’s doing all the subjects anyways.

I just think he’d be good at math.

(Completely valid to make his an English or history teacher though)

“Grandmother is visiting,” Damian suddenly said with no warning and with his usual not-quite demanding tone. 

“Who?” Tim wasn’t the only one to startle, seeing as Bruce had practically froze, a downturn to his lips in a silent show of confusion. 

Damian scowled. “Are you deaf Drake? Grandmother is coming to Gotham to, quote, make sure I am being properly cared for.” None of them had known that Ras was with anyone actually. At least Tim was pretty sure that would have been in the files. 

“Oh?” Dick didn’t quite crouch to Damian’s height but it was a near thing. “She-” “He,” Damian corrected, interrupting him. They all exchanged a glance before Dick continued. 

“Is he coming to the Manor or…” 

Damian scoffed again, a tiny bit of a flush against his face. “No, Grandmother will most likely be staying with Akhi-”

Now wait one moment-

“YOU HAVE ANOTHER BROTHER?!”

never gonna get tired of Aabria and Brennan playing dnd together, they know each other so well, they are so fun, they're clearly having so much fun ''does Evan have a grenade??'' ''idk will you let me? :)'', ''you know what I'm gonna ask'' ''yeah I throw myself in front of Sam, absolutely'', ''I'll give it to you, if you detach your shadow'' ''.....(pause, clearly aware that with Aabria as a dm, this will have Consequences) yeah I do it, I want to get all of them'', ''is my shadow back with us?'' And that's just this episode, but there's so many little moments in all of their campaigns that really read as ''I will fuck you up <3'' ''I know and I am walking into it with open eyes <3'' from both of them, never hold any punches, because they know the other one doesn't want them to, just. Inflicting emotional damage on each other for funsies is a love language I guess?

ethubs + tango dead bird theory is like. listen. last life is when everything ethubs changed forever despite it being basically the same shit they've always done forever but after that their coworkers start calling them boyfriends on camera. this is funny to reflect on now but there is no better illustration than tango's position in the life series (and hc) before and after.

in s7 tango is the one who basically canonizes Bdubs as the sleep king, and he spends more time on the game district with etho (& even the advent calendar with bdubs) than ethubs do together. when etho & bdubs are doing the Get Out of My School routine, he's allied with the Crastle and bdubs when things go to shit in 3L. s8 kicks off with etho and bdubs floating more collabs (horse course) but it's tango who allies with bdubs in the big eyes and earns the spot of bdubs' storage system.

in LL they all team and also skizz the rpf warrior coins the word ethubs and never gets any thanks for it. fortunately it's mostly just tango that bdubs and etho feel comfortable using as a proxy in their psychological torture flirting where they make tango give up a life to sustain bdubs. bdubs plays this up back in s8, where tango tries to say he wasn't thinking about revenge but bdubs is when they're working on builds in the big eye district. tango (like impulse, when bdubs does the whole "oh this isn't THEEEE clock" routine the first time they meet in s8) will remember this. especially as he continues to get dropped between etho and bdubs like a dead bird left by cats as a gift. i also love in s9 when tango accidentally takes the basement key and they think it's on purpose so they swiftly murder him in synchonous, cold blood before tango even knows what he did. dead birds and doorsteps.

in double life tango's mostly free dealing with the only deader bird than him due to Fate, while bdubs plays up impulse's resentment meter for a change. limited life etho and bdubs do family psychodrama and make it tango's problem after the mob farm convo about loyalty to the end. wild life, they're all three teamed and bdubs and etho agree they'll turn on tango first, though they're all so doomed they never get a chance. and it works bc tango's got his own bizarre homoerotic relationships, he is not part of the polycule per se in the way that ethubs are treated like zoo animals for their freak4freak nonsense, but he IS load bearing in dying so they can have some narrative friction against which to be freaks to each other.

thing that solidified the idea that Asha is the female version of Theon was reading her ADWD chapters and realizing that she wasn’t trying to manipulate Theon into self-destruction and did genuinely want him to leave Winterfell with her and her men in ACOK. girl did not grasp that sexually assaulting her younger brother was going to result in him not being able to trust her ever again, on par with Theon not realizing that betraying Robb and proclaiming himself the prince of Winterfell was going to make everyone hate him.

So hobby-wise, i really cannot stress how much this girl loves grav ball. I mean it's unnatural. Like Kallus and Zeb have TRIEDDD to get her into other things but she simply yearns for the court

To be fair, though, sports don't take up ALL of her time, and in the handful of hours a week she'll get to herself, she's probably just curling up in bed and reading a book or something (if you're wondering, she prefers thriller novels) In her teens onwards she's not really an extrovert by any means; she does have friends, of course, but you won't be seeing her at any social hours by any means.

Now, I can very easily imagine that Kallus and Zeb would want to instill a love for education in their kid, right? Teach them how to ask questions and find answers based in fact so that they dont make bad, ill infomed descisions that they'll have to reap the consequences of later in life? (cough cough, Kallus, cough cough). Eriss was a pretty naturally inquisitive kid, and I couldn't imagine a world where they wouldn't foster that?

So basically she's an academic fucking weapon if there ever was one. I mean, she's a competitive workaholic (hmmmm I wonder who she got that from hmmmm) who genuinely enjoys school (which, tbh, is a little bit terrifying but i made her like that so ig i cant really nitpick) so it's really a no brainer that she's an academic force of fucking nature

My girl graduates college as the Salutatorian from her graduating class with a bachelors in science for chemical engineering (RAHHHH WOMEN IN STEM RAHHHHH) (and Kallus and Zeb are obviously the proudest parents in the whole galaxy, ofc)

TLDR: Eriss Kallus-Orrelios is a woman in stem who likes grav-ball and thriller novels

just read the new mutants issue where Charles chose to stay behind in space and my god the juxtaposition between Charles trusting Erik and Erik joining the hellfire club and wondering at his own trust worthiness. I wonder how much of Charles decision was him ultimately trying to avoid the fact that his first class had seemingly betrayed mutant kind and not be willing to face them and how much of it was Dani and Illyana's reaction to him having Karma mind control Illyana. the fact that Illyana was depending on him to ease her mind through limbo and in choosing to stay he forced karma to do it instead, probably fucking up their relationship in the process.

I love him, this is crazy, how much of this is him trying to runaway and how much is this him not trusting himself to fix things and how much is it just him trusting Erik?

Given how advanced Bug Ferret tech is, I'd wonder how hard it would be for Kiiwah to get a prosthetic.

According to some old prosthetic talk on Jay's blog, bugferrets (and humans) tend to get lab-grown limbs in event of traumatic limb loss. My current reason for Kiiwah not getting one immediately is medical bureaucracy, and the state of their forearm. Everything wrist-down was mechanically shredded, including nerves and endoskeleton, and they only received basic first aid in the aftermath. They... "parted ways" with their old family shortly after and couldn't apply for a new limb without a family name. Their new family, with Rooturoo, is looking into getting them a new hand, but the family as a whole is extremely busy. They're also pretty low on the totem pole as ferret families go and will likely be sitting on a waitlist for a few years.
