Oops! I forgot to check in for Day 2...so this is my checkin for both Days 2 & 3! 🥳 So happy I was finally able to work out with the #6789bossbabes on both days! Total Body Sculpt 💪🏼 and the Daily Moves kicked my ass this morning since I'm still sore from yesterday's Power Yoga Arms + Abs and Daily Moves 🧘🏻‍♀️💕🏋️🏻‍♀️! A good laugh and a good sleep are the two best cures for anything ☀️☕️ Admittedly I’m the worst at settling down at night. See, I’m a day person. I’m a night person. I’m a Monday person. In honor of @katrinaascott, all the #TIUmoms, and @cicixtine‘s baby shower tonight, I made Kat’s #HighFolate #OhBabySmoothie. (Recipe 👇after #PharmTalk) #FolicAcid is a B vitamin, specifically, #VitaminB9. It is a building block of red blood cells. Insufficient amounts can lead to “macrocytic anemia” - blood cells that are too large + blood count that is too low. Pregnant women are encouraged to increase #folate intake to prevent neural tube defect.🤰 As a pharmacist, I always recommend adding folic acid to patients who are taking phenytoin (most commonly used for seizures) or methotrexate (used in arthritis, psoriasis, and certain types of leukemia) who aren’t supplementing already. 🤔 **** OH BABY SMOOTHIE • Handful spinach • Half handful of kale • 1 frozen banana (pre-sliced) • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries • 1 Tbs unsweetened coconut shavings • 1 scoop Vanilla Tone It Up Protein (plant based protein) • 1 cup almond milk (add more as needed when blending) Put all ingredients into blender and blend! Add almond milk if you need to blend more. Top with 1 more Tbs coconut shavings, 2 tsp hemp hearts, and blueberries.
