I love when a song makes my brain activate in a way of . I see mental images , frames of a thing I want to make to express how it makes me feel , but would never actually be able to accomplish . When it makes me Feel so much that i just have to move or jump around or do something to get out the emotions and energy it gives . I love music actually . But especially misic like that .

to be honest, most of my writing just comes from my own brain, mostly from daydreams. i suffer from maladaptive daydreaming, so at this point in my life i can dissociate while i'm doing pretty much anything, like all day at work, even when i'm out with people. my daydreams are kind of how i explore myself and my own feelings, so most of my realizations about myself that fuel my writing come from fictional situations i put myself in. so the stuff that makes it onto tumblr is the stuff i can manage to write down. most of it pops out of nowhere as far as i can tell.

when i do get outside inspiration, 99% of the time its from music. i listen to music pretty much 24/7 and sometimes listening to certain songs will make me feel the need to write something down. if i get inspiration from actually reading poetry, it's usually from browsing the poetry and writing tags here on tumblr. i don't read a lot of actual written poetry, though i really should, i feel bad that i can't give you any recommendations!

thats cool! tbh i didn't start reading a lot of proper poetry until pretty recently either. Ocean Vuong is one of my favorite poets, though i am also of the opinion that music is just poetry in a slightly different format which can also be great inspo. im kinda curious about your music taste now, so feel free to tell me some songs you've been listening to lately (no pressure tho).
