WHAT THE FUCK WAS THIS GAME CALLED

It's a mobile game where you create a robot colony on the moon, there's also an enemy base that you have to look out for! I found this reddit post that I'm almost sure is about this game too!!

I played this shit so much as a kid!

Some additional details I can provide:

There's two types of robots, they don't do anything different they just look different.

It has some sense of 3D by using shading, it's also a tiny bit pixelated maybe?

One of the first things you set up in-game is an oil rig.

Oil is very important and your oil wells CAN run out.

You cut down these weird green 'trees' that give you wood.

You can build oil drills, missile factory, battery factory, charging station, metal refinery (possibly), and robot factory.

There is also stone and ore that you mine.

You cannot place some buildings too close to others.

I remember this game vividly but I cannot remember the name for the life of me

i’m trying to find an oldish tv show or anime but because of what i remember it’s not easy to just search up the details, i watched it when i was super little so my memories are vague asides for a single scene. i’ll start at the beginning, there’s a giant island with smaller islands leading towards it, there’s a void where ground would be, the background is a dark grayish blue, and at one end is maybe 3 or 4 people, 1 girl and 3-2 guys i think, but they need to get across to retrieve a book, specifically the girls book, she’s around 17-20, blond or brown hair not put in any hairstyle, anyway the girl makes it there first and sprints into the cave leaving the guys to slowly make it across. Once she’s in the cave she’s confronts i think a 3 headed dragon, one head had a bad case of sniffles, i don’t remember it’s color sadly, but the dragon is holding the girl’s book from her, it’s a brown book with intricate designs with small colorful gems on it in the shape of a circle I believe, the dragon said they’d give the book back IF she chose the correct one, the dragon then proceeded to summon a circle of books all slightly different on stone lecterns around the girl, so the girl walks around the room, inspecting the books but unable to identify what book is hers until she remembers that she spilled coffee on one of the pages while reading it, she was reading it while in a hammock in the flashback, with this knowledge she requests the dragon to flip all the books to the specific page with the coffee stain, and obviously she finds her book, once she gives her book back she actually gives the dragon some tissues and some medicine to help with the one dragon heads sniffles. After that she walks back out of the cave finding that the guys have just arrived on the cave island, she smiles at them and says “it’s time to leave” or something before heading back, this time slowly to keep pace with her friends, also i don’t remember what the guys looked like but i can recall one of them had brown hair and was clinging to the islands for dear life.

The animation style was oldish, but not like sailor moon old style, it’s more akin to studio ghibli’s soft lines and current nowadays anime details.

Hey does anybody know anything about this animation meme i just remembered?

It was a meme featured around stampy (or stampylonghead, but it wasnt the guy, just the cat character), around 2016-2018, that had a black and white version of stampy with red eyes on one side, and another green and white zombie(?) looking version of stampy. Tbh from my memory he kinda reminds me of the green springtrap from fnaf. The background was all black, or black and white, either one.

Im pretty sure it was both of them on either side with a worried-looking regular stampy in the middle, but they could have been going back and forth, like switching forms.

The title had the word "dying" in it somewhere, cause i remember joking around about it with my friends. I dont know if it was the "im dying meme" with OMFG's song or a different "dying" or "im dying meme". And no its not this one cause i found this one:

There's an old cartoon comic from the early EARLY days of this game's existence which implies that Creepers will camp outside your small early-game house day and night until you invariably run some risk of walking outside and - even when the sun is up - getting hit by their explosion.

As an Alpha player, until I started gathering the Alpha 1.2 screenshots needed for the media haul I've been posting this month, I had no idea how true that comic was.

Dimensional Shift

The Gang™ is running out of time. They've been fighting this random ghost that showed up out of nowhere. This ones really hard on Danny because he has to be extra careful not to get hit. This new ghost keeps blasting things that turn into slightly different versions of themselves. He hit a Nasty Burger bag sitting next to a trash can and when the light cleared, it said Greasy Beef. A blast hit Tuckers PDA and suddenly it was replaced with a small touch screen tablet. Around a corner, Wes held on to his camera. He wanted to get closer but this was the only place he could safely hide. As much as he wanted a better shot and loathed Fenton (or said he did) he couldn't help but remember how scared the halfa was last month when Wes accidentally got between Skulker and his prey. Once Danny knew he was ok, he reeled into him about how stupid he was for still following him around. He tried to convince Wes to stop it all but of course Wes didn't agree to that. The two landed on a nice middle ground of the idiot only showing up to a fight after Danny is already there and Staying. Hidden. Danny emphasized the last two words by poking his finger into Wes's shoulder hard enough to push him back a little.

So here he was, taking cover behind a wall so the stupid and not at all terrifying ghost kid who he hates, won't cook him later. He wanted the best shot of this fight but it was hard with the angle so he kept his camera out from behind the cover of the wall and just looked through the viewfinder. While keeping his eyes on Danny, he missed the purple blast coming right for him. His camera was suddenly surrounded in a bright light and when it was gone, he was holding a pencil and piece of paper.

Danny was fighting back with everything he had. He had gone the entire time without getting hit directly by a blast, but he was getting hit by things getting kick backed by this ghosts beams.

After Danny threw another blow at this specter, he was quickly hit by a scooter that now says Dagger. Sam and Tucker were huddled around a device using the same technology as one of the thermoses (which were discarded next to them with, what Tucker thinks is, broccoli cheddar soup spilling out of them).

"Is it ready?" Danny yells over the coms in their ears.

"Not yet! You need to distract him for a couple more minutes!" Sam yelled back, seeing Tucker still struggling with his new device. At that same time, Danny dodged yet another blow from the mysterious ghost.

Wes was trying to line up another photo, now with his phone camera. The picture won't be as good but at least it will be something. He's also not as hidden now se he can keep an eye on both ghouls in the air. He won't be losing another camera today. He snapped a shot of Danny evading yet another beam.

Danny's relief was short lived. After the beam missed him, he heard a crash from behind him and his two best friends yell. He raced towards them and landed. They were both blown backwards from the device but they were ok. As for the device, its now pieces of something he doesn't recognize.

Danny was checking on his friends when he heard a voice call his name behind him. He turned to see Wes Weston running from around a corner. Quickly after seeing that, he saw a purple light hurdling towards him. It was too close for him to react and it hit the ground directly in front of him. He got knocked back and

Wes saw Danny hit the ground hard. And what's worse is he was not getting back up. Wes began sprinting as fast as he could towards the three of them to help. Out of the corner of his eye he saw the robed spirit land and conjure another ball of light. He tried to run fast and began calling Danny's name, hoping the moron would wake up in time. He was getting closer and closer and Danny began to stir. Wes let out a breath but didn't slow down. The light in the corner of his eye grew to its apex. Wes called again. "Danny! Wake up!" And then it light was moving. Hurdling towards the defenseless group. Wes wasn't close enough to move them and, while Danny was finally awake, he wasn't aware enough to do anything. So Wes did the only other thing he could think of. The beam was getting closer and closer and Wesley Weston simply...dove in front of it.

Danny was gonna kill him for doing the exact thing he specifically asked him not to do only four weeks ago.

Danny saw the light coming for him. And then he saw the ginger idiot getting in the way. Again. His eyes widen when he realizes what's happening he immediately gets up but it's too late.

Wes feels it. The warmth surrounding him. The last thing he sees is Danny getting up with a speed he's never seen before. But he's not fast enough. The light envelopes him just like the warmth. He's flying and falling and moving and feeling. Everything is happening.

And then nothing is happening. And he's on his back. His eyes are closed. He tries to move but it hurts. Like he's been laying in the same position for a long time. He slowly peels his eyes open and he's in a room. It's a large and ornate room. With a large and extremely comfortable bed. A small clatter comes from just next to him. He looks near the bedside and sees someone crouched down. He can't see his face, but he is wearing a nice shirt with some slacks. His hair is dark and as he gets up he can see that...

It's Danny.

Danny stands up and places a mostly empty glass with a bit of water still at the bottom, back on the table.

"Danny?" Wes asks quietly, not totally sure of where exactly he is. Or how he got here. Or why Danny is dressed so nice.

The well dressed teenager finally notices that Wes is awake. "Oh. Uh. I spilled your water." He points to the glass. "Sorry." It sounded f=very insincere.

"Uh. I'll..." He looks around like he isn't super sure what to do or like he doesn't really want to be bothered with all of this. "I'll go tell your dad you're up." His dad is here? Danny begins to walk away but Wes calls for him to stop. Danny turns around. He looks a little confused.

"What happened? Where are we?" Wes finally asks.

"You're at my house?" Danny answered like is was a trick question. "You passed out during dinner so my father had someone put you in here to rest. Let me grab your dad." Danny turned around again and headed for the door. Wes took another look around the out of place room. "FentonWorks looks a lot different on the inside."

Danny stopped dead in his tracks. He slowly turned around to look back at Wes. He just stared for a moment before asking "how do you know tha-" Suddenly a voice came from the hallway that made the tension snap. "Daniel? Is everything alright?" Both boys looked to the door where a well dressed man with gray hair pulled pack in a low ponytail appeared. Wes quickly recognized him as "Mr. Masters?" Wes asked. Danny took one more look back at Wes. The last few minutes with this guy have left him beyond confused. He started walking to the door. "He just woke up. I was just about to get his dad." Vlad pats Danny on the shoulder. "I'll retrieve him. You stay here and keep on eye on him." Vlad is about to leave but Danny stops him. "Please. I'd really rather get him." Vlad faces him very quickly and gives him a stern look. "I. Will get him." Danny holds eye contact like he is challenging him. After no change in the older man, he deflates and rolls his eyes. "Yes Father." Vlad grins a bit and ruffles the young man's hair. He walks back out if the room.

Danny takes a deep breath before facing Wes again. While he would love to ask some questions, he's not really in the mood to unpack any of the answers he might receive. When he does finally turn around back to the guy in the bed, he is met with the widest eyes he's ever seen. He could swear that Wes was on a contest for the widest jaw. "oh god, are you having a stroke?" bit instead of an answer, he was defend by the guy.

"FATHER?!"

Oh wow did you actually finish this? I got a silly idea at like 11pm to write something about Wes getting stuck in another dimension. So I sent the next three and a half hours doing just that.

I would like to say 1. thank you for reading. 2. this is really the first story I've ever written besides like three dribbles I have on my account. So if it doesn't seem like the best writing, that's why. Or maybe I'm just a bad writer... 3. I would like to reiterate that I got the idea for this story about three and a half hours ago I thought it would be funny if Wes had to convince DANNY that Fenton is Phantom. I have spent the time since, writing. It's now almost 3am and I'm very tired. I don't know how good this is or where/if I'll go anywhere with it but it is what it is. If you really really liked it, then I might try to keep writing but I've literally never done this before so who knows!

In other news, few days ago I had a streak of finding ''lost media'' I've tried finding before but to no avail. I think my biggest mistake at that point was trying to rely on Google for searching, but it seems Google is straight up shit at this point for doing simple search. And I understand for the most part the result doesn't have to be on a first page but not only there isn't 1st page anymore but endlessly expanding page, but also it was clogged with links that really have nothing to do with what I've searched in a first place. Place I've had to rely on was Reddit, and specifically subreddit r/tipofmytongue.

All it took for me to dig up those was using terms of what I've remembered and being tiny bit patient in sifting trough pages, and surely enough I've dug them up. Ridiculously enough, since reddit in all of its bullshit IS haven of information. However, even me typing ''(my term) reddit'' in Google didn't gave me the result, EVEN THOUGH I've found both of them ON REDDIT. Yeah Google, thanks a lot(not).

What was the media you wonder? It's just old cartoons I used to watch on TV when I was kid. Now, this is period right after war, and it's not any cartoon channel (Cartoon Network came way later to us). I'm also pretty sure one of these was sort of prerecorded on VHS, but it doesn't matter. All of them were dubbed to our language and were obviously all in different style.

This all started because I randomly found the first one I was looking for, and it had to do with VA actress Eiko Masuyama passing away. She was mostly known as Fujiko from Lupin III, but she also voiced fairy creature Candy from ''Anderson Monogatari''. It was specifically this episode of ''The Little Match Girl''

I remember mostly the last part when everybody is crying. Ahhh, fun times of ''child memory retention''.

Second one was one where I started actively digging for other two I've remembered. I also remembered last scene the most, something about it was eerie but impactful in my mind. It was ''Enchanted Boy'', old soviet animation from 1955, and it's adaptation of ''The Wonderful Adventures of Nils''

I had hunch it was something from USSR, probably because of text cards in there being in Cyrillic.

And last but not the least, was funnily enough a Christmas Cartoon. You'd think it would pop up somewhere while googling for it, but to no avail, and I wouldn't say it was that unknown, at least in Western interwebz, but I was wrong it seems. It was never mentioned in many Christmas cartoons articles that were all over the place. But this one, when I watched it again, I remembered the whole episode, and it's still charming today, even 30 years later. It was ''Santa's First Christmas'' , which had it's own spinoff in 1996 ''Romuald the Reindeer'' .

I first found the 1996, but noticed it look somehow way too new from what I remember, surely enough there was one more from 1992.

Anyways, this post turned out way bigger than I anticipated, but here they are. I hope I helped someone too trying to remember these. It also serves as a place where I know I have all these in one spot.

Two anime siblings. Obviously framed like moe and loli (🤢), blue hair, the boy’s a crossdresser, both in blue, one eye covered. And there’s memes about it. Never saw the anime tho.

Now I thought they belonged to Overlord, but… well, they’re not in it? Tried to see if the twins were like retconned with diff designs or something, or other animes, but nothing.

So please. Which anime do they belong to? It’s been a question since I saw the memes and now that what I thought they belonged to is wrong… well, I gotta know even more.

I turn to tumblr for help identifying a game I remembered recently. It may be multiple games, but I'm fairly sure they're the same one. Memory sure can jumble things and I'm unfortunately familiar with it. Still, I can try.

So if any of you guys know it

Things I can remember:

started off inside of a building, but the environment expanded with every new stage/chapter to add another location (outside the building, beyond the fence, across the bridge, etc.)

All locations were on some kind of island owned by a company where these experiments happened.

Part of the island might've been a dead-resort-turned-employee-housing. a part I can remember clearest is having to hide in a house from some humanoid monster (or formerly human?)

No weapons. I think a flashlight and items, but no weapons.

The game was more than likely released before 2019, possibly older than 2016 depending on whether it was jacksepticeye or markiplier that I watched play the game.

Sketches of game details I can remember will be under the cut. They each have descriptions outside of alt text, since the sketches aren't super detailed.

A map of the two islands, connected by a bridge. It's a touristy map and constructed with a sort of log frame. The trees surrounding it are dark, possibly pine, and it's nighttime. You're on a dirt path when you see this. It may have been near the bridge.

Towards the end of the game, there was a dirt path that led up stairs on a rocky area - like the ground was stone and stuck out above the dirt ground. There was a metal tower that you had to climb, possibly a radio tower. This might have even been the last scene. There might have been some chasing involved, but I can't be sure.

One stage/area involved boarding up/locking a house (all doors and windows), then hiding from whatever it was that broke in. The thing was probably humanoid, but I'm not sure how much detail it had. I believe this was in the resort/employee housing section, since you were hiding in a house - possibly a bedroom or office with closets.

Tip of my tongue 80s TV show

I'm trying to identify a murder mystery special or movie of the week that was aired in the early to mid 80s where the audience is given clues to identify a bride's murderer at a giant mansion and the suspects give their alibis to the camera. Everyone is a suspect, it does get solved at the end but I won't spoil it.

I want to say Bill Bixby hosted but it could be someone else who was known for hosting magic and mysteries of the unknown shows. Can't say if there were phone numbers for the audience to call in and vote for who did it. Having the audience try to figure it out before the end was an important gimmick.
