McArfield fic (Tony night redux)

Ahahaha I am just FILLING EVERYTHING AT ONCE this is kinda combining the prompt for drunk Andrew/sober-ish James again with @jamespttr‘s suggestion that Andrew just start publicly calling James his boyfriend before James even realizes they’re dating, lol, and obliquely her idea that they figure out the way they feel about each other is NOT a typical side effect of playing Louis and Prior, lololol, and also i’m throwing in this prompt for “fic where james teases andrew abt his answer for the fmk question at the tonys!!!!!” for good measure, lolol, with maybe a smattering of someone else’s prompt for third-person POV lolol, except then i also saw that picture of james and andrew and it just competely scrambled my brain so idek anymore *just bakes a giant cake of this fluff *

It takes a hilariously long time for James to begin to understand that this thing that they do isn’t Andrew’s ordinary thing that he does.

Like when Andrew comes to the stage door after the show and wraps his arms around James’ waist and bites his ear, and people at the stage door start asking them if they’re actually dating IRL, and James flushes and ignores the question but Andrew hums and winks at everyone at once, and James eyerolls and has to un-derail his thoughts.

Like when they’re at the Drama Desk Awards and Andrew uses up his entire time praising James, and then blows James a kiss that James automatically catches when he’s coming offstage, and then puts his hand in James’s and laces their fingers together when he sits back down, like that’s just the way they are.

Or like when Andrew starts ordering James’s drink for him at bars without asking because somewhere over the past two years he’s learned what James is having, and so it only makes sense to return the favor, and James finds himself fetching drinks for Andrew, to be met with a soft, “Thanks, babe,” and a quick kiss on the lips.

Or the time Andrew gets way too drunk at some party they’re at over in the Ace, and he just kind of wants James’s hands on him everywhere.

“You’re supposed to be an amazing dancer,” he says grumpily, trying to drag James onto the dance floor. “Why aren’t we dancing?”

“Well, I don’t just give it away,” James says, laughing and letting himself be tugged forward into the throng of bodies.

“You’ll give it to me, though,” Andrew tells him smoothly, confident as anything, and slinks against him like they do this all the time, and they don’t quite wind up making out on the dance floor, but it’s a very, very close thing.

Actors are constantly hooking up and fucking backstage, and James is no stranger to this lifestyle, but he is a bit thrown not long after that when people start giving him and Andrew space when they enter a room and find the two of them together, like they’ve interrupted something private.

“Did we turn a corner I missed?” he asks Andrew one night, tucking a lock of his hair back behind Andrew’s ear. They’re in Andrew’s dressing room, casually wrapped around one another, because that’s how they are, and Andrew hums and then snakes his hand up James’s shirtfront.

“While you weren’t looking, we took over the whole damn block,” he says calmly, and then he sinks to his knees and opens James’s trousers.

So then they’re fucking on the regular, and that’s something James isn’t altogether prepared to analyze, even if he did think it meant anything (it doesn’t), and even if he thought Andrew was prepared to deal with what it might mean for his straight-for-now status (he isn’t).

But it’s also good, good and natural and addictive, and, and dizzying. And that’s terrifying: James is the kind of guy who likes quick, simple, easy fucks, none of which this is; and it’s Andrew, and that’s even more terrifying; but it’s also Andrew’s body and hands and mouth and Andrew murmuring James’s name in that ethereal orgasmic voice; and Andrew’s perfectly Andrew-ish way of approaching sex. Like the way he will suddenly decide they should be having tantric sex or yogic sex without telling James first, or deciding to experiment with appendages that he then loses around James’s dressing room and has to spend a hilarious amount of time finding again because they tend to just fling stuff everywhere and deal with the fallout later.

And, and Andrew is Andrew, and James is leaving for Scotland after all of this is over, and nothing is set in stone, James knows that, and they’ve never talked about it, but then Andrew does some panel talk and refers to James as “my wonderful boyfriend, James McArdle,” and just completely glosses over the opportunity to clarify whether he means James and himself or Louis and Prior, despite the confusion of everyone around him.

And then Tony night, when Andrew jokes that he’ll marry Mark Rylance and then fuck all his other fellow nominees, and then slides his hand in James’s and says, “Unless someone brings me a better offer.”

“What, better than Mark Rylance?” James laughs. “You’re joking.”

“Well, I did say all my fellow nominees,” Andrew says. “Didn’t say which award.”

“You’ll have a long list of partners, then,” James says.

“And I’ll put you at the top,” Andrew says, staring shamelessly at James’s mouth.

Later, at the Carlye for the after party, he’s chatting with Joe and Zach about their favorite son of a bitch, and in the middle of kvetching about how difficult it is to stay in Louis’s headspace, he remarks, “And it’s so hard to sort out your own feelings from his, like, I don’t know how you and Stephen or you and Christian managed to extricate yourselves from what was happening onstage—” only to see them exchanging blank looks.

“Like, sexually, you mean?” Zach says. He laughs. “Christian and I never had that problem, I was already in a relationship, and we didn’t get wires crossed.”

“Stephen and I totally fell in love,” Joe says, “in a way, you know — like, we still talk all the time, we’re still incredibly close friends. But, no, we never confused our feelings for the character’s.”

“But you were playing them for so long,” James says, feeling like someone’s sucked all the air out of his lungs.

Joe looks at him and snorts. “I think you should probably go have a chat with your boyfriend,” he laughs.

James laughs, gobsmacked. “Apparently, I should.”

He doesn’t have to wait long, because Andrew finds them and beelines into James’s side. He curls his arm around James’s waist, and James follows suit automatically.

“Hey, lover,” Andrew says, kissing James’s cheek, and James unthinkingly presses a kiss against his forehead before his brain suddenly grinds to a halt.

Oblivious next to him, Andrew is asking, “Have the three of you had some kind of ceremonial wisdom exchange? Have you imparted unto my one and only all the secrets of prior Louises?” He giggles. “Prior Louises!”

“Oh, yes,” ZQ says sagely, casting a shrewd glance at James. “I think we’ve given him a full dose of our combined homosexual fairy dust.”

“Ooh,” says Andrew. He turns to James. “Sounds kinky,” he says. “I hope I get some of that glitter on me later.”

“You are a walking glitter stick,” says James.

“Then you’d better take me home and crack me open,” says Andrew calmly.

There’s a beat where James just stands there, his hands on Andrew’s waist, adjusting to the surreal reality that they’re here, they’re doing this, and he looks like a possessive boyfriend because he is one.

He takes a breath, turns and nods, “Gentlemen,” to Quinto and Joe, and silently pivots Andrew away from them and out of the room.

“Oh!” Andrew says. “You’re taking me somewhere, where are we going?” He laughs. “Actually, you’re frogmarching me, how adorable.” He lets James half-tug, half-shove him along the corridor and away from the party into the men’s lounge, which is not an ideal place to have this conversation but is, at least for the moment, empty.

“Ooh, privacy,” Andrew says.

The moment the door shuts, he turns to James and says, “You look so amazing tonight, I just want—” and kisses him, full and deep. James slides his hands around Andrew’s waist and kisses back for an intoxicating, breathless moment until he forces himself to focus and pulls back.

“Andrew,” he says, cupping Andrew’s cheek. “People are going to come in here, they’re going to see us together, they’re going to make assumptions. Is that what you want?”

“Yes,” says Andrew, “Now kiss me some more.”

“I am—” James laughs a little hysterically. “I am desperate to do that, but you’re a little drunk, babe.”

“Ugh,” says Andrew. “You’re so good at this, why do I have such amazing taste in sexual partners, I always get people who respect me when I want them to shag me.”

“Let me take you home and I’ll respect you all night,” James murmurs, pressing a kiss against his temple.

Andrew pulls back. “We’ve never done that, you’ve never stayed at my place.”

“You’ve never invited me.”

Andrew blinks at him. “I dunno how to do this,” he says blankly.

“What is this?” James asks him, honestly unsure.

“Be your boyfriend,” Andrew says, and James feels gut-punched for the second time that night.

“You’re leaving for Scotland,” Andrew says, pressing himself against James’s chest, “We’re not supposed to be doing this, I told everyone I was straight, and you should have won a Tony instead of me.”

“I don’t think those all connect up logically,” James says, pressing a kiss against Andrew’s wonderful, perfect mouth.

“James,” says Andrew, expelling James’s name in a plaintive little sigh. “You know I, we, this isn’t just—it’s not, right?”

James takes Andrew’s hands in his and stills him. “I know, sweetheart,” he says.

“Good,” Andrew says. “Because it’s really, really, really not.”

James smiles and kisses him. Beside them, the door opens and immediately whoever’s behind them sputters, “Oh! Oh, gosh, sorry, I—”

Andrew breaks away and beams, “No, no, come in, I’m just making out with my boyfriend.”

James turns apologetically to the person beside them — who is, of course, Andrew Lloyd Webber.

“Sir,” says James dumbly. “I mean—My Lord? Sorry. Er. Sorry. We were just, er, sorting some things out.”

Andrew grins and presses a kiss to James’s cheek. “We’re boyfriends,” he tells Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber in a conspiratorial voice. “You’re only the third person to know.”

Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber looks between them.

“No,” he says mildly, a gleeful smirk spreading across his features. “I’m pretty sure we all knew.”

i find ur opinion on the 2013 fandom really interesting bc ive always viewed 2013-2014 as the """dark""" era bc to me the fandom at the time was so messy and kind of... cringy lolol, i was a fan since the first season came out and kinda left the fandom around 2015, and returned only a few months ago, and wow has the fandom changed. idek how to describe it, but somehow it feels so much more pleasant to be a part of this fandom now than 5 years ago

There was definitely some cringe back then!! lol

It’s mainly the huge amount of activity I miss. I remember being able to like refresh ship tags, for example, and there’d be new posts every time I hit the button, and now some ship tags haven’t had content poured into them in months. Just crickets hanging out in them. But it was nice to see the graphics and fanart and fics get a lor of attention and notes. As a content creator myself, I wish I had had more of those skills when the fandom was younger. But it’s okay. lol But I also miss things like the people who did the askvoices and the general culture around that, just for one example. It was a lot of fun.

I understand the cringe though, haha. There were plenty of things that even I did back then that when I look on it now I’m facepalming for centuries.

hello dear anon :) it took me a while but i had fun coming up with the silliest scenarios for breakups and how they make up. i was aiming for humor because because it was unspecified. and seven’s got too angsty idek why but it happened though i posted a lighter version of it x3 i really hope this is not too far off from what you were expecting love ^^;;

Yoosung

okay. this boy honestly feels so embarrassed when he realizeswhat’s happening

especially considering the break up was totally his fault andover such a silly matter too!

he had actually prayed to thank god when mc hadn’t left the rfacompletely after yoosung had chosen his games in heated bout over mc

and now he doesn’t know what to do

before he actually confesses again to them

he’s not scared of rejection, because even if mc does it, theywill be mature about it and do it kindly

what he’s scared of is mc actually forgiving him and ending uphurting mc again

the second party after their break up is very successful andeverybody is so proud because it was the biggest they have had yet andeverything went so well

they are all talking excitedly and mc is hugging jaehee inexcitement and considering the occasion, jaehee is also hugging them back andseven joins the hug and pulls yoosung with him and yoosung yells i love you somuch mc you’re amazing!

it’s kind of awkward for a moment, the big hug feeling stiff nowand yoosung realizes he could have said ‘we’ instead of ‘i’ but mc isstarting to smile and seven is on the floor with laughter and jaehee gives hima stern look with a well deserved ‘you have it too easy. do not mess upthis time.’ and mc hasn’t said anything yet but he’s starting to feel lesshorrified and more awed and he feels his throat close up but he has to do itright this time.

oh dear! this girl feels so guilty for having ended thingsthen just because she had been paranoidand worried it wasn’t the right time

sure they had both been having personal struggles but everythingwas lovely between them and slowly the other stresses in their lives would besorted. but jaehee hadn’t wanted to risk having a bad fallout with mc

jaehee has all of those problems sorted out now, and with hervision cleared she sees just how bad it had been to break up then, no matterhow much she had thought it was the right thing. she had just assumed doing theright thing hurts sometimes

it’s surprisingly mc who approaches her this time

they are timid and almost spend a good 10 minutes stalling

but jaehee is patient and wishful and a little scared

when they finally stutter out how they still have feelings forjaehee and only dared to approach her because jaehee seems to be much morerelaxed now and she has been saying and doing things when they were togetherand she liked mc like that

jaehee almost smiles when mc stutters to a stop because theyrealized they were blabbering

but mc looks like they’re about to cry or run away or bothand despite feeling relieved at the cute display, jaehee grabs mc’s shakinghands in a firm grip and waits till they look her in the eye

the words come surprisingly easy to jaehee as she answers mc’shalf asked request and confirms that yes, jaehee still likes mc like that andyes, she never stopped liking mc like that throughout and that yes! she wouldlove it if they got together again

Jumin

poor jumin was always very expressive of his emotions andfeelings when it came towards mc

he couldn’t be blamed completely because a lifetime of hidinghis emotions he suddenly learned to share them with someone

there was no holding back on his part

and maybe because he hadn’t learnt to read others emotionsproperly yet he never noticed mc getting sad/upset

he did notice that mc was not very open with their feelings anexpressions, always seeming kind of reserved but jumin was not too upset andwas willing to wait

though he did have a talk or two with mc to see if mc actuallyneeded help or something but mc always playe dit off with a smile telling himto not worry

until one day mc actually had a mini meltdown and broke thingsoff with jumin

that day he learned mc was actually very emotional and thusimpulsive! The reason for break up? mc felt jumin was too sweet and giving anddeserved someone who could show love and give as openly as jumin did

cute as it was, it was jarring for jumin to hear all that from ateary mc and he couldn’t stop them andsuggest them to cool down before they rushed out

they actually make up in about a couple months because mcmanages to admit they were running from all the feelings jumin made them feeland that they felt smothered by all the love they were getting because theycouldn’t give

and jumin understands somewhat and is always careful from thenon to not be too intense with mc and is successfully elarning to get a read ontheir emotions now so he doesn’t say something that is seemingly harmless butmay be too much for mc

Zen

it was zen who dumped mc

mc was shocked and by the time they could speak zen was alreadygone

honestly zen had thought having taken such a big step would bedepressing and help him fall into characters more easily

it had been depressing. but it sure as hell hadn’t helped himperfect his roles as he had thought

the worst thing was he had become so used to mc so quickly hewas starting to get really bad , not even wanting to get out of bed most days

mc would avoid him in the chatroom and they were good at it too,because it had been months since mc had come into the chat at the same time aszen

it is surprisingly jaehee who confronts him and tells him tosettle whatever matter is between mc and him because she wants his flawlessperformances back. of course she is more worried about zen and mc as rfamembers but she doesn’t vocalize it yet

is actually surprised when mc agrees to meet him. lowkey knowsit’s because because v asked them to meet him, but tries not not let it botherhim too much

just as zen starts to talk about how he is sorry and how hefeels, right there in v’s studio because a public place was a bad idea,mc interrupts his speech with a single word, ‘why?’

and zen doesn’t need them to clarify because he damn well knowswhat they mean by that. and the guilt is suddenly twice as heavy as beforebecause it really completely sinks in that damn it! he had not even explainedthe reason to mc

but he knows from the look in their eyes that they won’t listento any excuse he has unless he answers that question

so he answers honestly, no matter how stupid and trivial itsounds now. mc is really not impressed to have been dumped because zen himselfdecided that he couldn’t give mc enough time and attention and that they wouldbe better off without each other- each being able to at least get one thingright in life. their careers

zen apologizes profusely and mc reluctantly agrees when he asksthem out again because he is so sincere and it’s not like they’ve gotten overzen yet

Seven

this boy was so torn!

on one hand the love of his life, his mc, had given him a news which would be the happiest news for normal people.

and perhaps mc somewhat knew what his reaction would be because they were timid and looked almost scared when they told him

but it was like his brain shut down completely as the meaning of what mc said settled in

he immediately broke up with mc

there was no way he could ever be trusted with not one, or two, but three lives! especially one that would be completely helpless and at anybody’s mercy!

mc knew that but even after having just found out about their pregnancy, they refused to not keep the baby. they said as much to him before they packed up their stuff and were leaving

seven took their bags and walked to the garage , knowing mc would follow

the car ride to jumin’s was silent and tense and the body guards let them in, already having been instructed by jumin

he did the right thing. mc would be taken much better care of here than with him this was probably best for them

or so seven tried to tell himself

the guilt was always there in the back of his mind and it honestly didn’t let him sleep. it was just what he deserved, he thought, to get even lesser hours of sleep than he already did

it was really his fault though. all of it. if he couldn’t have been careful, he must at least take responsibility. The process was slow, but seven was warming up to the idea of apologizing and asking mc back. he could try! he could be better than his mom

only, it’s almost a month and he hasn’t heard from mc since

his stomach in knots and heart in his throat, he races in one of his babe’s to jumin’s and rushes to the apartment

he parks in time to see mc trip over an obstacle he doesn’t see in the blur

he rushes out but mc has already hit the ground

seven has never driven that fast and he’s never seen mc that pale but they’re at the hospital within minutes and mc’s being rushed to er

only when the doctors says that everything is fine and that mc might have a concussion does he feel he’s able to breathe

mc looks shocked at his choked question about the baby, but he focuses on the doctor’s response, that the baby was safe for now, but it was been quite dangerous

saeyoung is surprised he is so relieved and he just kneels beside the hospital cot and apologizes again and again to mc and mc actually says it’s okay. that it’s not his fault. he has never been so sad and so happy at the same time

vows to take care of them both and always keep them happy if mc would give him a chance

mc says they don’t have the heart to keep his baby from him but that he must keep his word

he didn’t know he could cry from happiness

poor sweet man was devastated

mc’s birthday was coming up and v was panicking because mc had given him the perfect gift for his birthday

and he couldn’t decide what to get them

if he knew what mc liked, he would have bought the whole list

the problem was! he did not know what mc liked

and it was such a shame for him to not know; of course he could just ask them, but that would give him away

so in fit of angst he broke up with mc

…though a phone call

is so sick of the sadness and guilt and can honestly not even start to forgive himself

what has he done

mc hasn’t even called once and it has been months

one day he gets a visitor at a strange hour

he thinks he’s hallucinating when he opens the door to mc but they just push past him and walk into his place

when he comes back in, they are seated on the couch with a business like air about them

jumin would be proud, v thinks

‘jihyun, you’re not a baby, sweety’, mc starts , and okay this is serious because they called him jihyun and not v

which means they are pissed, despite their polite, almost friendly tone

v takes a seat as they give him a pointed look and clears his throat

looks awed when mc tells him they had given him some time to clear his head and get his thoughts in order because he had sounded so stressed when he had made that call

and to tell them what he felt or what problems he was facing

just after saying that they looked at him curiously, because ‘are we still dating? or was that break up-break up?’

jihyun has honestly never felt so relieved and he just wraps mc in a hug because thank you so much, and yes of course we are dating!

Saeran

so he kept canceling their dates

and mc was persistent because it was after the 6th cancelleddate that they called him, sounding upset and asking him what was worng

not if something was wrong,saeran noted felt a swell of pride at their perception

but he gave a distant answer and mc sounded more upset and askedhim to just answer honestly

‘you want an honest answer?’ saeran snapped ‘well, it goessomething like this: i don’t wanna be tied down, and I certainly don’t wannadate you’

he expected an angry explosion or maybe even for mc to burst outcrying

he did not expect them to hang up as soon as the words left hismouth

he felt somewhat guilty because he obviously really hurt mc, buthe figured it was okay since this way they would have more time to ‘heal’

whoever said that time makes everything better was a fuckingliar and saeran would punch him

because instead of feeling better as days passed after the breakup, saeran kept feeling wrose

when it wasn’t the guilt eating away at him, it was all thoughtof mc- mc this, mc that, how mc liked their egg, how mc hated when their coffeegot a bit too sweet but couldn’t drink it without sugar either, how mc always letsaeran sleep 20 minutes more

it was excruciating

he especially hated when his damn brother would ask about mc notvisiting any more

as if to rub salt to his wound

what he couldn’t understand was how the heck had mc become suchan important part of his life without him having noticed? important enough tohave left a gaping hole and that made saeran feel empty even when doing onlywhat he wanted to all day

his meddling brother started inviting mc over a lot and it wasso awkward because

they were right there

one such day saeran had locked himself in his room when assholesaeyoung barged into his room and pulled him by the hand till he was on thecouch in the living room

and mc was already there and saeyoung conveniently left on anerrand so they could talk

it was awkward but mc asked how he’d been doing and the nextmoment he found himself spilling everything to her and he couldn’t shut hismouth if he tried and now his voice was getting wobbly and mc was getting tearyeyed and this was torture he just wanted to hug mc and hold onto them all day

…turns out he did shut up once he realized he had said the lastpart out loud

at least it made mc laugh

Random Japanese guys I’ve liked over the last 10 years...

Idek I thought I’d make a late night list like I like to do but then I decided to comment on each one so I realized I needed to cut this embarrassing shit XD

I wanted this to be in chronological order but it didn’t totally work out that way

Subaru Shibutani- My #1 from Kanjani8 obviously. My first idol, my favorite idol XD

Tadayoshi Ohkura- My #2 from Kanjani8. I don’t think I ever liked him as much as most of the other guys on this list but I did have my moments with him.

Tsuyoshi Domoto- If you were to ask my my favorite from Johnnys sometimes I would say Tsuyoshi.

Masato Sakai- I LOVED JOKER SO MUCH. I wanted to watch everything he did and I watched a lot of it, then he got popular and I got bored with him. His acting can be a bit cheesy sometimes but I don’t think it was always like that, maybe he’s been skating a bit cos he got so big.

Ryo Kase- After SPEC I liked him a lot. I watched a ton of his movies and I thought his career was going places... but then it didn’t. He does mostly indie movies so he’s hard for me to follow now :/ I ran a tumblr for him for a while.

Satoshi Tsumabuki- I like his face. idk when I started liking him. I haven’t come even close to watching all or even most of his work.

Joe Odagiri- Satorare was one of the first dramas I watched all the way through but I REALLY loved him in Jiko keisatsu and Atami no Sousakan, I’ve watched a bunch of his movies but not nearly all of them.

Ryuhei Matsuda- Now him I have watched a good deal of his work, maybe like 75%, I’ve watched some god awful things for him, I’ve watched nonsubbed things for him. I like him still but he was more interesting when he was younger tbh.

Ichiro Yamaguchi- He’s the lead singer of Sakanaction. I like him a lot, I think he’s probably an interesting guy... but here’s the thing I obviously can’t understand his tweets or any of his writing at all. I love his music tho.

Daisuke Takahashi- First skater, favorite skater XP I fell in love watching his Olympics 2010 SP

Ukigumo/Ryosuke Nagaoka- I only recently started really getting in to Tokyo Jihen and I regret it immensely.

Issei Takahashi- I started Quartet for Ryuhei and stayed for Issei. He’s done so many dramas that I wish were subbed. I’ve tried watching most of his stuff but I gave up on movies and I’m stalled on some of his early dramas.

Honorable mentions:

Yuzuru Hanyu- I started watching him right after the 2010 Olympics and he’s my second favorite skater. But I feel like it’s not cool to say that anymore? lolol

Haruma Miura- I think he’s really cute but I haven’t watched too much for him.

Masaki Okada- Same as Haruma basically. I think he reached his peak when he was younger... idk I feel like he made better film choices back then.

Kengo Kora- I want to watch more things with him but for some reason none of them grab me. I like his look and I think he’s done well not to be typecast in a certain type of role.

Nozomu Kotaki- I had to stick him in cos when I was looking over my archive to see if there was anyone I was missing I realized I’ve reblogged a lot of gifs of him. I haven’t watched any dramas he’s in, I don’t really pay attention to Hey Say WEST’s music but as far as younger idols go I like him the most. I still remember the first time I saw him in a magazine I thought “Hey that kid is tall, they need to push him, there need to be more tall Johnnys”

Soooo basically I mostly like guys my age or older, the younger guys can’t get me going in the same way haha

AKB48 Thumbnail 2shot event 170604

At the start of June I went to Japan to participate in the 2shot events for AKB’s latest album Thumbnail. Here’s a little write up. If you want to hear about anything else I did (hint: it was all shopping) lmk and maybe I’ll write that up too.

Because I know I cannot get up in the mornings, I started my tickets from Block 2. I had 3 tickets for Sato Sumire, 3 for Muto Tomu, then 1 each for Kojima Mako, Goto Moe, Minegishi Minami, Okada Nana, Miyazaki Miho, Oya Shizuka, as well as 2 album signing tickets, that I planned to use with Tomu & Suu.

I am about to go into fangirl mode here.

Unlike HS, during 2shot you don’t get much time to talk, and for me every member spent that time calling me cute (lies) and my hair amazing (truth). (hidden myself in most of these pics cause i’m not cute and dont photo well lol especially next to idols)

Started the day with Kojimako~~ Had Mako and Tomu in 2nd block but I wanted a practice run before Tomu. She is so damn cute! Basically exactly what I was expecting (in a good way); super cute, cheerful, smiley and lovely. A fairly orthodox meeting.

Next was Tomu, the member competing with Suu for my oshimen spot lol. I know I wrote a post before about officially oshihenning to Tomu, but honestly the two are really neck-and-neck...

Compared to Kojimako, Tomu felt a little more... interested? Like asking me more questions and seeming to listen more to the answers, etc. I’m very shy and bad at speaking, so if the member starts the conversation going I am very grateful, and Tomu absolutely did.

I had Block 3 free (why?? did i do that??) and I headed out to the Cafe & Shop. Bought an AKB drink, which of course comes with a coaster, which of course attracts coaster collector/traders. The guy brave enough to approach me turned out to be a fellow Tomu oshi, and we spent 45~ mins discussing members/AKB in general/my plans in Japan etc. I was almost late for block 4 lol.

Block 4 and back to Tomu! In the queue, another fan came up to me, asking where I was from etc. The only people willing to come up and speak to me were Tomu fans lol. Tomu fans so nice and willing to speak English. Tomu did the whole ‘You’re back!’, ‘Yes, and I have more tickets!‘. Then of course my favourite Team K pose.

Then it was Moekyun! In my head Moe is still the baby draftie of Team K, but she is actually 16 and almost as tall as I am. If Tomu was impressed that I came for the UK, Moe was astounded lol.

Block 5, and back to Tomu again! This time wearing the Tomu shirt from last year, which she was pretty pleased with. 3rd time and I was finally able to tell Tomu she was my oshi. (whyyyy am i so shy why).

I had tickets for Miichan, but I went over to album signing instead, since getting my album signed by Suu was more important that meeting Mii. (sorry Miichan)

My Suu tickets were all for later so this was my first Suu meeting. It was basically a discussion about my hair again lol. (’Is it real? Is it dyed?’) lolol And so her signing message was ‘Megan-chan kawaii’ lolol

Then off to Miichan. Her queue was short but sooo slow moving, which is weird because it didn’t feel like people were getting really long meetings. Also, her queue was fuuuull of girls. About 60-80% female, far, far higher than anyone else. And they were all looping as well. Mii was... very cool and professional? Not bad or salty, but she kind of felt like she was going through the motions, quickly in, photo, out.

Block 6 was double Suu. Finally a chance to meet her. She was pretty surprised to see me again I think. But super happy. Out of everyone I met, Suu was the best. She felt the most genuine and the most interested. I felt like I could have another 20 tickets and still have fun with her. HOWEVER her staff were super fast. Not necessarily trying to push me out, but very efficient, I’d barely sat down before they were asking for a pose. I was using 2 tickets but still had basically the same length meeting. Should have looped!

Block 9 was also Tomu sign! So I’d been meeting Tomu at regular intervals over 6 hours, so it felt like I met her a lot. Compared to, say, using 4 tickets together in one block, I got more time with Tomu this was. I wonder if she would feel the same?

Block 7 and I pre-queued for Nacchan, since her line was super long. Nacchan felt the most kami. After meeting her, I completely understand her popularity and senbatsu rank. Her reaction to seeing me was ‘Angel! Angel!’ in English, which was the only time any of the members spoke English to me other than ‘thank you’ and ‘bye bye’. unfortunately the 2shot itself is pretty bad D:

Then 4th ticket with Suu. She was amazed I was back, then after greetings, peace sign pose, I was standing up to leave and she says something like ‘Thank you for coming. Everyone thinks you’re really pretty!” And whilst I’m digesting if the members are talking about me backstage?? (sempai noticed me??) she’s like, ‘Can I?’ and reaches out to stroke my hair/head. Then squeals/laughs as though I am a small animal (lol) and the staff usher me out. But like... You are not supposed to touch the idols at all unless you are doing heart pose... And yet I got a head pat??

I basically died on the spot. #1 2shot #1 meeting #1 girl, sorry Tomu, I regret oshihen-ing etc. Literally made the whole trip worth it. Did the members notice me?! Is Suu talking about me with others??

tl;dr if you are meeting idols dye ur hair & be fashionable i guess

Final block and I had tickets for Myao and Shiichan. I fucked up my Myao meeting by being super tired and not being able to understand the super fast & long JP Myao spoke to me. Really feel bad about that because not’s not Myao’s fault that I’m incompetent, and I feel like it dissappointed her, or maybe pissed her off. Not really how I wanted my first meeting with Myao that I’ve been a fan of for so long to go. Myao is way good at posing and this is possibly the best 2shot of the day tho. (not of me, obviously, i look like a shaved baboon as usual)

I ended up using my Shiichan ticket to go see Tano Yuka instead. idek why. For me there are Suu & Tomu tier 1, then Moe, Kojimako, Naachan tier 2, then like... everyone else. And so I just has a sudden urge to meet Tanochan.

She was kind of... intimidating. I come in and she’s like ‘Wah, sugoi.’ Then she gives me this really intense look up and down like she’s inspecting me. I felt like I was in high school talking to popular girls lol like wow I’m being judged here. Tano is super pretty in real life. I’m looking at this 2shot like, that’s not even what she looked like! The camera can’t capture her ~glow~!

So basically 10/10 day, do recommend. I received 0 salt all day, even though quite a few members I saw (Suu, Mako, Myao, Tano) have a rep for being salty if tired or you speak to them wrong, I had no such interaction. Definitely going to try and go back next year, if money allows it. Go see Suu etc.

ohoho i really like this request it’s fun to get ones that aren’t x mc,, and it’s gonna be based off of american highschool because i don’t know other schools lolol

Zen

He’s a junior but he acts like he’s a senior

And by saying that I mean he skips a lot of classes and doesn’t care about a lot of his grades

He’s that kind of person

He tries not to distract other people in class though cause like he does understand that there are people that want to learn and get a good education and he doesn’t wanna mess that up for them

Anyway he’s pretty bad at the main subjects (like math, science, english) but he gets pretty into the miscellaneous classes

Literally takes gym all four years wth

Yoosung

Canon that he’s actually a good high school student

Anyway he’s that smol freshman that tries really hard to get all good grades and be prepared for everything

He gets overwhelmed really easy and if his workload gets too big

He’ll cry from stress

My mind is telling me that he’s good at history

I feel like he would actually be pretty good at memorization like he makes a bunch of flashcards and is efficient with studying (at least for that)

He’s that student that’s good at the subjects during class but when tests come around he full out panics

He plays the clarinet and is super good at it

But he makes a bunch of silly mistakes like playing a note too high or for a little too long

It’s not that bad but it’s enough to stop him from being in the front

Jaehee

Senior that everyone’s High Key™ gay for

She’s so accomplished like she’s in all AP classes and is in SGA and is fluent in Latin

Gets all As always and gets super stressed out when she gets anything less even if its an 89%

She plays viola and has been since she was a little kid so she’s super good at it

And she stays after school and tutors the other kids if they need help

Needless to say she gets pretty stressed a lot

But she’s pretty good at handling so she keeps up her grades and extra curricular activities

Jumin

He’s a junior

And he’s not really great at school

Like he tries pretty hard to understand everything, but he gets frustrated when it takes him too long to get the hang of it

So he’s in on grade classes with Zen

Hoo boy that won’t go over well

For the most part he keeps to himself but he talks to other students during group activities or like if they come up to him first

But other than that assuming in your AU the RFA knows each other he doesn’t talk to anyone outside of the RFA

And he doesn’t do any extra curricular activities cause who’s got time for that

Seven

The sophmore that everyone loves

Some of them love him because he’s really funny

But most people love him because he’s hella smart and he lets anyone copy his homework he straight up doesn’t care

Definitely the class clown like is that even a question

But when he has to he can focus on working because he does actually care about his grades

It doesn’t take him long to understand whatever they’re learning so he can just do random shit during most of the class

Like make paper airplanes and throw them at Vanderwood

Takes all those computer classes idek what ones there are but he’s in all of them

And you can’t convince me that he doesn’t play violin like

Just him playing the devil went down to georgia super extra ly

Aesthetic

He’s that senior that everyone loves and everyone wants to be like

Already has hella scholarships and got accepted to an Ivy League school

And he’s the president of SGA

But he still goes to school because he’s that nerd that actually likes going

Mostly because he’s in art and a bunch of other artistic specials idk if it’s called that anywhere that’s what we called it at my school like art and photography and writing

He’s that guy that’s just really kind all the time but in like basic ways like holds the door open for people and picks stuff up for people that they dropped

Saeran

Sophmore that has already given up on school

Like he has no patience for any of this shit anymore

But he’s also really naturally intelligent so like he can pass tests without studying and does his homework in class like immediately after he gets it so that he doesn’t have to worry about it when he gets home

And since he’s smart he gets to be in all the same classes as Seven!! Yay!

He really hates it

But not as much as Vanderwood

And like Jumin he’s not friends with anyone outside of the RFA and he doesn’t even really consider them his friends so like ,

He has no energy for any special classes like he takes the bare minimum and just stops

Vanderwood

Sophomore and they regret that every day of their entire life

If only they could have been born another year, but alas, they’re stuck in the same class as Seven

They complain about Seven a lot with Saeran

Like more than you would expect

When Seven finds out it hurts him greatly

Anyway on a different subject than Seven, they’re pretty average at academics

Like, they’re smart enough to be in advanced classes but they get Bs and Cs on average

They’re in orchestra and they play the cello and i’m just screaming thinking about that

They’re really good at playing but they started later than normal like 6/7th grade but they picked it up really quickly and got good super quick
