So I met Jessica Madsen (Bridgerton's Cressida Cowper) on the weekend and she is now one of my favourite people 🥹

Got her autograph, sat in on her panel, and thanks to encouragement from a new friend I also went along to a special lil event and got to chat with Jess over dinner for 2 hours 🫠 It was her, Sam Phillips (who plays Lord Debling and is also a joy of a human) me and 7 other lovely folk.

They were both really relaxed and chatted openly about the show - both love the change to Michaela and that there will be more queer rep. They asked which order of Bridgerton siblings we thought the show would be going with and seemed really amused at our guesses (I dont know if they even know what the order is themselves, they were playing very coy about it 😅).

A highlight of the night tho was early on I mentioned that I had to drive 2 hours to get home afterwards, and didn't think she even heard me. But then when she was leaving she touched my shoulder and told me "drive safe!" And I just 🫠 - so sweet she remembered 😭

Anyway, I am now forever a Cressida defender, my girl can do no wrong and deserves the world

I am 8 weeks on an SNRI today

I feel like myself with the extremes gently folded up into me, like what happens to the corners and edges of a folded bandana or piece of origami; they're still there but it takes more force to get at them, so I can hold my own shape or configuration longer and spring back into that shape with less effort.

"Like myself but things are easier" is what I got told I could expect in a best case.

I remember really crisply what it felt like to be alive and in my body and heart and head before I tried this. Without going into detail, I'm shocked and a bit disturbed now at how much I was hurting and terrified, how often, how deeply, because of the contrast felt and experienced now. It's not that I don't feel that pain, anymore, more like addressing it is... more possible? Less agonizing?

I get more joy and pleasure and ease and restorative rest with less suffering accompanying or braced for. That's worth so much to me. What a fucking relief.

I am doing perhaps the most hilariously overboard and unnecessary world-building thing (probably not the most….creating 5 accurate conlangs based on languages from 800ad merging and gaining specific vocabulary from 2000 years of life in very different planets is probably up there since that took a year and I only referenced one of them in the actual book… but that was a different book/universe)

I am currently making MANY spreadsheets of duty rosters to logistically make Exodus Terminal run with 53 people and still have scouting missions happening. Every department has its own sheet and all 53 characters have their own sheet to describe exactly where everyone is at any given point in time. There’s also a « crew by alphabetical order » sheet and a « crew by rank » sheet to help inform the choices of where people best slot in.

You know I genuinely don't regret going no contact with my dad's family. Every time I think I miss them it's actually me just missing the concept of having that half of my family, not me missing them specifically. They're all such shitty awful people and I'm so much better without them.
