I love the idea that the only way to get them to unfuse is through apathy. And when Ace passed from this life, so too did the secret of getting them to separate. Although, Robin did happen upon the secret accidentally, just through pure supportiveness.

I took away the weird corruption idea i had from around Luffy’s gem and i made them cracks instead. He no longer has it in that other form i have for him. Same for Sabo, he doesnt have cracks in that old version either.

Love making funky designs for an au, and then as the au progresses i change my mind so i need to change the designs.
