ive heard people headcanon him having did, and i know in canon that he has acute dissociation disorder, that his voices are really just alters. he just refuses to acknowledge their names or that they each have their own personalities and names they prefer to be called to differ between them. absolutely despises it when his lover tries bringing that theory up, or when he 'blacks out', which usually is just an alter taking his place for a while, sometimes itll be one that likes them and will cuddle in bed.

hes constantly muttering to himself throughout the day, whether thats telling his 'voices' to shut up or occasionally repeating a few words from conversations he has been in or that he just happened to over hear. it ranges from curses to dumb phrases he may not understand.

under the mask and eyeblack, along with the harsh disfigurements along his face, there are several old scars that run down from above his eyebrows all the way down to the bottom of his crooked, fucked up nose. its a pain in the ass to make the eyeblack stick and not come off too much, but theyre healed enough that its not an absolute pain to do.

due to his 'voices', he has chronic insomnia from all of the obnoxious chitter chatter he constantly hears in his head. he almost never gets the peaceful silence that he craves, this is connected to the reason why he constantly tries making his team shut up whenever interacting isnt important and why he hides away in his own barracks when able to. although, occasionally he will appreciate his partner talking in whatever language they please, not usually even paying too much focus onto their word usage. the same with krugers annoying use of english and german towards him, the austrians attempt at making sure the russian is still domesticated and not feral, keeping him in the loop if he accidentally hides away for a few days after a long hard mission.

he does canonically have a normal usage of "we" and "us", usually when the 'voices' are constantly nagging and bitching about being included in onto his conversations instead of him trying to pretend they dont exist. because of them trying to be involved in his daily life, he sometimes will directly mention them to people, talking about "them", "the voices", and "useless chatter boxes". if his partner refers to him in a plural sense, like lovers or beloveds, he just fucking melts, unused to people mimicking his plural usage in a non mocking way.

he is an absolutely ruthless top, the type to overstimulate you to the point you quite literally pass out underneath his touch. he isnt at all gentle with it either, any whines or begs are returned with "you can take it", "shh.. shh... relax, precious, just a bit more..", or some russian phrases you cant even decipher at this point, hardly even recognizing them.

aftercare is sometimes rare. yes, its still there, but he will either tell you that youre on your own or just straight up walk out on you, just because everything going on his head is just becoming way too overwhelming. like all he can hear in the moment are screams from his alters all trying to tell him what they are wanting and some of said screams are coming from ptsd of different missions and places. it sometimes hits him like a brick.

when he can and does give aftercare, its usually in the form of a quick wipe down, head to toe, cleaning any drool or over substances off of your body. as little as he could care about getting things dirty, its something that he doesnt really have to talk throughout or do too much touching. yeah, hes not big on much physical touch, but its better than trying to bathe with you.

he definitely loves receiving head, being in full control, doing just about every little thing he wants?

knife play. loves digging his knife into you, carving his initials in you... oh no, not in english. no no. hes carving his russian initials into you. right on your inner thigh, constantly telling you to relax and to quit squirming. well, thats when hes spekaing, most responses are him squeezing your other thigh in warning with an occasional russian demand.

loves ramming you into the bedding. just washed the sheets and/or made the bed? too bad, its going to be messy and dirty when hes finished with you. biting into any bits of skin he could reach with his mouth. ignore the gaps in his bites from where a few teeth are missing from back when he was being tortured, a few are gone from battle, but he doesnt mind, anymore that is. just bite into the pillow and enjoy his harsh thrusts.

what do you thinks gonna happen to mitsukou in like the future of the manga

Ooooooh I love this question!! It’s hard to say but as of now I really think Kou is going to have some type of villain arc, similar to Hanako during the Picture Perfect arc. His whole character has led up to him becoming more selfish so I could see him going against the other characters and trying to stay in the new timeline- which he’d have help with given his new connection to the entity. Maybe he’ll sacrifice himself so Mitsuba can be alive and happy, or something of that nature

I’ve seen some fans say the think Kou’s arc is going to end with him gaining a new appreciation for life and being one of the only characters to make it out of the series alive, and I can see that but I definitely think he’s going to die or become a supernatural. As for Mitsuba I actually think he might get a happy ending, just not in the conventional way. He struggles a lot with accepting his existence as a supernatural and desperately wanting to be human. As Kou’s character becomes darker Mitsuba’s heads more towards the light, so to speak. So I think Mitsuba’s arc will end with him accepting his place as No.3 and finding happiness through being a school mystery

As for their ship…that depends on what the editors will allow lol. It’s tough to make queer relationships and characters explicitly canon in animanga unless the series is labeled as a GL/BL. At the very least I’m sure we’ll get some sort of Ymir and Historia confirmation where one of them says they love the other or something of that nature. At most we might get an off-screen kiss that sparks debate over whether they actually kissed or not. But I’m hoping AidaIro will surprise me. They’re obviously not going to get a happy ending but they have more of a chance of getting a good ending than HanaNene and ykw that’s enough to help me sleep at night

Just saw art that inspired this thought for an au. I think I've seen some shippy fics floating around for it that take place outside of killing games but not for inside the killing games so idk if it's been done before.

Basically, an au where shuichi can see and hear ghosts (which canonically exist in danganronpa). He's seen ghosts for as long as he can remember and uses that ability to his advantage in investigations (and helps the ghosts move on). He pretends he doesn't think ghosts exist due to the never ending therapy and drugs his parents would try to get his "delusions" to stop as a child. So whenever the question "do you believe in ghosts?" comes up he's like "they're obviously not real, if they were we would have proof by now."

Of course he hides this from everyone in the killing game because they'd think he's insane or being deeply disrespectful to their dead classmates. He's used to getting the attention of ghosts and prompting to follow him to speak with them alone, usually by looking right at them (hard to deny eye contact) and using subtle body language. Part of the reason he wears his hat is to avoid looking at ghost strangers.

As an excuse for writing reasons, ghosts do not remember the moments leading up to their death very clearly, so Rantaro would not remember how exactly he died. Which leads to Kaede's execution happening again. Hoshi would remember the plan but not the moment of death, he would keep it from shuichi though for kirumi to succeed. Angie and Tenko would harass shuichi a lot. Miu... she'd be so mad her plan didn't work and shuichi would take the brunt of her anger, there's no she's helping him. No clue what kokichi would do, I doubt he'd know what to do either since he fully expected to be dead dead without anyone figuring out.

None of the ghosts move on until the killing game is over. Shuichi never reveals to anyone living that he sees their ghost classmates. Kokichi might catch on to something weird going on with Shuichi but Shuichi would never admit it even if he guesses correctly. Well, correctly enough, he might think shuichi believes he sees ghosts but kokichi doesn't actually believe in ghosts. "That's not funny, I don't see ghosts- I'm not delusional. Leave me alone." <- man who will see ghost kokichi during chapter 5. It would probably piss off kokichi so much to see shuichi (and probably a couple other ghosts) stare at him after they find the press and know that his plan is screwed from the start.

The ghosts hangout in shuichi's room because he has a tiny shrine + incense out to deter mean spirits. In this case, mean spirits would be the really annoying dead monocubs. The ghosts usually hang in his room or follow him, they miss the set up for killings. Shuichi never really gets a break to be alone.

Things that tether ghosts to the world are probably special items, places, and people. His classmates would probably be very uncomfortable sticking to where they died so they stick to shuichi and his room (technically the little shrine + incense) instead.

Alright because I'm curious: What is wrong with Marina's quest to help sanitized octolings? Because as far as what little we knew about it it was blended up people, removed memories to make mem cakes, and then if you botch it, then you become part of them. It was both vague enough to get the general idea across and open enough for more information to be revealed.

So what didn't you like about the idea?

The problem was that in octo expansion, we were told that the sanitized octolings had no vital signs, and in typical splatoon lore fashion, we were told in a dev interview that sanitized octolings are formed out of sanitization ink. Its hard to take dev interview information seriously, but judging by the fact that they rarely ever put actual important worldbuilding details in the game we have to take what we can get. Basically meaning, none of the sanitized octolings are any one person in particular. They cant get their memories back because they arent any original person. Theyre basically walking frankensteins monster corpses with no purpose but to do whatever kamabo tells them to do. Letting the color chip memories "sort themselves out" inherently has way too many risks and issues. It straight up just would not work. Anyone can have any color chips in their pallet. And if any color chip is made of any mem cakes, all marina essentially did was destroy the memories and basically do exactly what kamabo co did. The only one it would probably work on is acht since they are visibly not fully sanitized and the devs, for some godforsaken reason, decided not to give acht any reasonable or sensible plot relevance at all regarding literally anything that was going on. This basically means either only some sanitized octolings are made from the ink while others are just regular octolings that got sanitized, or they just retconned that first fact. They also tried to say that agent 8 is sanitized when they are clearly obviously visibly not sanitized in any way, shape, or form, unless theyre only now trying to make sense of how sanitization works by making it a multi-stage process. This still makes acht a complete outlier in the sanitization process since they remember everything pre-kamabo (while conveniently acting like they didnt canonically willingly get sanitized in the first place), while eight remembers nothing. Either way, the character creation part of octo expansion doesnt line up with agent eights canon backstory. Thats a whole other thing though.

Another issue is fuzzified octolings. No mention of them or anything that happened in alterna. From what we can gather from alterna, there is no more octarian army or at least a huge chunk of them are gone frok their society because of alterna. And yet, this plot point isnt brought up ever again, even within alterna since they for some reason forgot octavio existed right after forcing him into the story. Also, they had a hint that dedf1sh got fuzzified too, with one alterna track being named #35 captured, yet here they are, perfectly fine and still sanitized. Also doesnt help that fuzzification is functionally the same as sanitization, it just happens on contact instead, but nothing about memories is focused on. Marina absolutely should have been aware that a huge chunk of octarian society went missing to the point where even octavio went to look for them, unless side order happens before alterna, in which case it still ends up making marinas efforts useless.

The problem too with what marina did is that they showed no proof of any of it actually working. Agent 8 was supposed to be the first one to test it out, meaning we never actually know if the color chip-mem cake thing actually works, nor will we know if it will ever work, because for some reason we still let smollusk take control over the order sector. Marina should not have to hack her own creation to make things work. And sure, they have this one-off line thats like "wow eight you got your memories back !!", but thats something that couldve been shown so that its actually impactful and so that eight has an actual motive in the story that isnt just Stand There And Do Things Because You Were Told To, as well as Stand There And Listen To These People Talk To Each Other simulator. They even had mentions of other octoling devs that helped her make the memverse and yet we dont get any focus on them either. Smollusk talks about them, yet somehow they arent made important to the plot. This also implies that octolings can just go back and forth freely between their society and the surface, unless these devs also happened to leave and just so happened to not be involved with the fuzzification issue. We also have the case of people supposedly being dragged into the memverse and they look spaced out in the real world, yet thats also not made into an actual plot point and instead just mentioned once and never focused on again. If they had just shown any actual impact to the characters or the real world at all, maybe it wouldve been more interesting. They really went with a tell-not-show route with side order and it sucked.

And, to add on, it wasnt only octolings that kamabo co did stuff to. Iso padre is the biggest example of that. He lost his memories too. Yet they decided to leave him out of the story when he arguably wouldve been more relevant to what was actually happening than acht was, but unfortunately they opted to focus more on adding a popular character to the story for the sake of adding new useless information about a character and nothing else. All they had to do was make acht actually involved with the actual plot and not just sit in the elevator doing literally nothing and adding literally nothing but dialogue for them and marina to act like they just saw each other last week.

billie: in my mind she is definitely one of the more obvious candidates for a story like this just because soooo much of her character depends on other people and how they influence her personality... and because of this there are a LOT of options regarding who could take her in. i would most likely write her arc around getting better rather than getting worse LMFAO which means a few people would get crossed off of the list right off the bat--- immediately coming to mind is the hiyoko/mahiru/ibuki gang for some reason. i think theres a lot to explore there !!! billie could definitely take influence from ibuki's style, her impressionability/mirroring of other people's personality could definitely lead to trouble around hiyoko considering they are both stressed out, mahiru would be in so much strife about suddenly getting shucked into this caretaker role she's been so adamant on escaping since her killing game and there would be a LOT of parallels to hiyoko there. especially since yknow. billie is copying hiyoko a bit. i can see those three taking in this moody ass teenager with so many illnesses. so many awful influences its great

erin: OK so i am going to assume this is a situation where every season 50 participant is 16-17 again in this hypothetical scenario where they run from the hospital LOL. dear god i can see erin SPRINTING away. im gonna give her to sayaka on this one hands down. sayaka finds erin dead at night just walking absolutely nowhere with this very disorienting smile on her face LMAOO. i think erin's arc in this story would absolutely benefit from somebody who is able to relate to her as a performer and somebody who has this "persona" they need to maintain. erin is such a huge personality and her whole crisis is so huge that her guardian definitely needs to mirror her and learn from her or else they'll get a bit washed away i reckon ghdfksjghfdkjg. i can see the sayaka+erin pairing SO clearly too... like this is a sayaka who has been performing this character for years, probably to the extent where she hardly realises it anymore. throwing erin in with her, a teenage girl with identity issues that managed to actually go through with a plan that sayaka had during HER killing game .....Oughg. i can see them getting so stressed out by each other and i can see them getting just so sad at everything theyve lost

mika: hmmmmmmmm. mika is definitely one of the more practical characters and i dont think she would be hit as TERRIBLY hard as her classmates with the whole "we aren't real" thing. in fact there might even be a bit of relief from it at first. like...... youre telling me one of my biggest insecurities isnt even real because ultimate talents dont even really exist??? AND i dont have to get locked into one interest my entire life??? she's absolutelyyy traumatised and fucked up however i don't really think she'd leave that hospital in the first place LMFAO, i think she's smart enough to realise she doesnt stand much of a shot against team dr. if she made it out she would get paired up with another one of her classmates (like a ryoma+rantaro situation) anddddddddd hm. hm hm. imposter could be very very interesting. here is somebody that is constantly changing, never set in stone, and here is a teenage girl who is stubborn in her own reality and has come to realise her place in life a WHILE ago

naomi: this scenario is so so funny because it implies that somebody CAUGHT her hgfkdghfkdgkjfhgsdkl. there's not a doubt in my mind that she went sprinting out those doors the second she woke up from the simulator but naomi has always been a character with one foot out the door ready to leave. NEVER in one spot. especially in a postgame scenario, where she is extremely traumatised and honestly experiencing psychosis, it's hard to imagine her willingly going home with a stranger.... i think her scenario would DEFINITELY be a bit unconventional, with her constantly leaving and returning. akanes arc to the extreme HFGKGJ. i'll treat this as if naomi would be added to the existing narrative, meaning whoever her "guardian" is can't be EXTREMELY similar to akane so the whole "running away" theme would come second to themes of culpability and punishment i think. she would benefit from having somebody that also felt immeasurably guilty hmmmmmm. i can honestly see hajime. he's already busy as hell with everything he has to do for team dr, only to have to take time out of his day to help this tall ass teenager. their meet would have to be REAL unconventional in order for naomi to have stopped enough for him to help her lmao. as in "she ran out in the middle of the road in the middle of the night during some kind of panicked haze and he very nearly ran her over" type of unconventional. he patched her up, gave her some water and she was GONE. and then she comes back two days later like Heyyy 😍 So about that Guilt

rie: first things first i would throw her with ryobe hands down HGDFK. the amount of hijinks those two could get up to. fantastic. they would really benefit from having each other around and their friendship could be beautiful and real. with that being said these two are definitely a bit more difficult to pair with people just because immediately they have similar arcs to erin and naomi with both of them having difficulty accepting their identities and (ESPECIALLY RYOBE HERE) dealing with punishment/culpability. they would also need more than one guardian i think........ just for ryobe alone LMFAO. i reckon a few season one people could know about them tbh. for the most part they stay with aoi and her kid, which opens up a LOT of interesting avenues concerning whether rie and ryobe should leave for the sake of the kid's safety!! aoi and rie would pretty easily get along, especially if they both kinda keep each other at arms length with their people pleasing personalities they've accumulated over the years (aoi having developed it during her time as a team dr spokewoman). and then one day rie gets caught in complete distress and aoi realises "Oh Huh y'know what maybe this constant stress to perform under threat of violence against both me and my family isn't Healthy" and they both start trying to have more fun. go to the beach or smth. aoi swims for the first time in AGES and she has a total blast

ryobe: soooooooo fucked up postgame and would definitely stress aoi and rie out further without a doubt ghfdskg!! especially so close to the reveal that everything isnt real ryobe would definitely be in complete denial angie style. but more in a "hahahahahaha none of that actually happened!!! that was my brain playing tricks on me and actually i can hardly remember it anyways now that i think about it!!!!! this is definitely because it WASN'T real and NOT because my body is trying to protect me against everything that happened to me". he just reverts back to this goofy guy who always seems like he's on the verge of SOME kind of breakdown, and rie would be no help to him in those first few days, likely going as far as to AFFIRM nothing happened just to keep him from running off without her. i can see aoi bringing in some help for him--- it would probably be another survivor and i can REALLY imagine the dynamic between him and toko. komaru loves him but toko HATES his annoying ass ghfdkjghsdfkghgfjkdsg. they would definitely have a looooooong chat at some point that sends ryobe on the right track. also side note ryobe would be fantastic with aoi's kid however he would definitely teach that toddler a bunch of stupid pranks

sae: so sae is 34 which means she would definitely be the guardian in this scenario gdfjkg so it comes down to which v3 kid would make for an interesting parallel hmmmm hm hm.... immediately coming to mind is kaito. i can see himiko joining him potentially. sae is somebody who has trained herself to be extremely patient and believes anger to be a weakness of sorts. enter kaito who believes the only "strong" emotion he can convey right now is anger because he would be DAMNED if he started crying about that killing game gfhsdjgk. they'd have a lottt to learn from each other, and i think the entire scenario would definitely push sae to a lot of her limits. i mentioned himiko just because her arc of emotional repression could be a mirror to sae possibly, but because this is a postgame scenario i think himiko would be SO absolutely fixated on being seen as useful and helpful and energetic that she throws herself into whatever work sae can give her. and of course sae the workaholic has a lot of work to give her LMFAO. they pass out at the same time

yoshito: similar to mika it's hard to imagine him leaving the simulator just because he is the protagonist and they'd be keeping an eye on him however if he DID. he would need somebody who is constantly in his ear like Aren't you mad .....Don't you want to go apeshit ......mondo and leon are coming to mind. they're really teaching that kid how to let loose. shatter some glass, go fucking wild!!!! and while we're at it, let's all examine how our reckless behaviour might be a method of self harm we have developed for ourselves after our killing game but make sure not to tell the kid ok. make sure nobody tells yoshito, who has been trained on helping people his entire life and just needs to think about himself for ONCE

but no for real now. to preface im very forgetful when it comes to fnaf lore and i sometimes miss some plot points and many times they affect my headcanons (once i remember them) but i cant check everything. im just forming my own little timeline with my own ideas i guess, but i still want it to be canon adjacent So!

i believed that its taking place post SB, pre Ruin. which i was super happy with as i was worried it would be pre-SB and not give enough lore that i crave. however, just as ive seen some people say, this didnt help with the lore much, and it just got more confusing for me. still a fantastic game but from a lore point it doesnt give us anything too big or a conclusion (well. maybe one) i also saw people say its post ruin, which i dont agree with but i would agree with during ruin. (when ppl say cassie is the player, i dont think so, need more arguments) its unclear once people bring in other arguments than the obvious roxy's mask or the state of the pizzaplex. but basically as an afton believer its hard for me to work around this, but i will try. never back down never what?

so my hc is iykyk, scraptrap->man in the room->ghost/amalgamation->latching onto tech and the mimic in the form of glitch and burntrap->mimic "shedding" him->wills ghost forming mxes; it also works without the frights books but the afton amalgamation and everything around it is too cool to not use. i fucking love ruinborn afton graaaaah *tears shirt apart* i also liked the idea of his spirit shattering and a piece of it forming glitchtrap for years, and i believe it can coexist with mimic, i think burntrap was real and is both mimic and afton.

now. this game. really messing it up for me as glitchtrap existing post or during burntrap just doesnt make sense, i dont want -trap multiples or something (sounds like the years old 2-3 purple guys theory lmao) but i will look into it as glitchtrap and mxes connection..? honestly, i really expected getting to see burntrap here (or at least mimic shown). was burntrap like retconned or something for real??? also still dont understand when people say burntrap isnt the mimic or whatever. no, it is, just with something a little extra on. and that extra is again, wills ghost or remnant or whatever you wanna call it, symbolized by the bonnie parts on his endo, but theres also flesh so yeah, as funny as it sounds i fuck with the afton homunculus growing over mimic theory. its stupid enough, he would do it.

but i wanna focus on mxes, i knew we wouldnt see the entity in the game, didnt expect it. but i also didnt expect the system to show up, which it did, but obviously not the entity yet as i believe they were formed only after burntrap has been "scooped" by tangle (comparing the scooper mimic ending and the burntrap one as a parallel) i just dont understand how glitchtrap is in here. thats the thing i cant figure out! this is 100% post SB so at that point glitchtrap is just gone. how did we get him back now? only ends up with me reaching with like MEGA SPOILERS the vanny ending crushing glitchtrap being a metaphor of her locking away or deleting the code. extreme reaching would be stuffing it into the mxes system where glitch would turn into the entity. but thats way too loose, but ive seen many people call the mxes entity glitchtrap, which doesnt even work with their theory that glitchtrap is mimic, because the entity is obviously not the mimic. like you have to consider this too, not just mimicmimicmimic but then agree that a glitchy rabbit is similar to another glitchy rabbit

to be clear this is not an attack on you and i enjoy your work. you dont even have to answer this if its too rude or presumptuous in your opinion. but i think its funny seeing your "definitively, if its the source material, they would fucking say that" post while knowing how you feel about the weaker parts of homestuck and also the uh. the epilogues. again this isnt supposed to be an epic own gotcha moment i think everyone is allowed to contain multitudes and shit. im just also a bit mischievous and part of me wants to be the little wondershowzen puppet going "But can we discuss the contradiction"

ah too bad you wanted to be a silly little gotcha puppet but i was thinking about this too! hold my hair back im forming this idea in real time so im about to start just vomiting the fuck up a bunch of half-formed ideas. (this is the second time today ive used this analogy)

the thing is that while i dont like the homestuck epilogues at all, there's no denying that it is largely, in-character, in broad strokes. it's a story which relies on every character being their worst possible self, sure. it is, in a lot of ways, a very public, very messy relapse. it gets at some really ugly parts of what the characters are, and that's just not what i want from homestuck.

it's part of a larger trend of hussie trying really hard to Make Dramatic Art and Tell Stories With A Point that i think really plays against what theyre good at, like. you see this with psycholonials too, just this idea of storytelling where nothing good ever happens and every character is not just flawed, but unbearably, noxiously toxic. and yknow, that's fine too, its literally not an invalid goal for a story to have.

its just not what i really like about homestuck and to a lesser extent problem sleuth. like, as messy as my feelings are about psycholonials, i still think fondly of zhen as a character even if she is the worst person to ever exist.

its like they took "dave being abused by bro came out of nowhere, the rooftop strifes dont really feel textually different from the other guardian strifes" all the way to heart and way overcorrected.

but all that to say, the worst possible self-hood apple hasnt fallen too far from the tree. and that's not strictly an invalid thing to tell a story about. it's just not what i want out of homestuck. and the tangible difference there, imo, is that puts the onus of not liking it on me, rather than hussie, cephiedvariable and ctset. they set out to do something, i didn't like what they did, i had an extended mental breakdown about it that i am still feeling the ramifications of even now, but at some point, the world continued to turn.

i hope you can kind of sense this feeling in bdth - while they aren't really in the running to be main characters or anything, rosebot, pesterquest rose, and candy rose are all real in burning down the house. i may be taking jane in a different direction, but that different direction is still in terms of hs2 jane. hell, tavros crocker gets a cameo in the walkaround

and yeah, this is to emphasize the contrast bdth jane against post-canon jane, but in order for that contrast to mean anything, those parts of the character have to have meaning enough to be rejected, which is the real point im getting at. it sort of drives home that i'm not just *really fucking up* at writing jane, too, which is actually more important than youd think.

ignoring the textual parts of a character you dont like because it conflicts with what you want the character to be (an image that you construct and maintain on your own, unintentionally) is a great way to wind up doing bad characterization of that character.

and yknow, sometimes that's fine! if your reach never gets beyond making an incorrect quotes blog, that doesnt matter. who give a shit. besides me, historys most notorious hater, who will seethe about a bad character take for weeks on end. (but i am the exception, not the rule)

if you're really swinging for the fences as i tend to do, at all times, even when i would be best suited not to, it just doesnt sit right to me to drop bits of a character you dont like just because you dont like it. when youre writing, its there specifically to be played with. and again, "playing with it" here still encompasses rejecting it and doing something different.

and yeah, different authors are going to focus on different parts of a character, but then youre getting out of the scope of this post tbh. but i think its worth remembering that nobody ever wants to make something bad on purpose. even intentionally making something bad on purpose is something you would want to succeed at, you dont want to fail at making something bad on purpose, etc. etc. this is stupid.

Writing chapter 5 of Dotpatf was basically me trying and trying not to at the same time bringing dynamics between characters i wish was explored and existed in the show or any other fix-it aus ive read. Like Daemon's complicacy with having women in his life and around him suffer from the pain of childbirth. His mother dying after his youngest brother Aegon's birth and what it did to their father Baelon and Aeg's death afterwards. Then having to see his own sister-in-law suffer for YEARS as Viserys kept putting one unsuccessful babe after other; the final one killing her as her own life was put behind the life of a son. Then Laena...choosing to go out her own way; as to not have Daemon choose between her or their babe. Now finally seeing Rhaenyra; the wife he cherishes possibly going the same path, it left him scared and stagnant and unwilling to attach himself to the pain (The same in the canon, except that in the fic, he practically did not have nay choice but to face his worst fears)

Then we have Cole's cowardice and betrayal. This was something i didnt orginally plan as Crispy Colesaw mabye the most mfing mf to ever mf in the history of mfs; but he was ALWAYS and forever loyal to Alicent. But in my fic, his devotion coincided with his hatred for Nyra, and seeing as his Queen is now slowly inching to her side it made him put his own prejudice out front and with reluctancy go against the one he swore to serve.

We have Aemond's devotion to his mother, that he goes whichever path Alicent will choose to accept. At this point of the story, he doesnt feel kindly to the Blacks' side but seeing as Alicent chose to protect Rhaenyra, he obliged without question and was slightly moved when Nyra trusted him to protect both Aegon and Luke, and saw for once that mabye his half sister doesnt wish harm or ill will upon them.

Aemond's dreams had started--just to clarify-- a few months prior to Nyra's arrival in KL. It plaques him and will continue to do so and affect his attitude towards Luke. Making him soft, hard, cold, hot all at the same time. And he hates it, poor bbg just wants a peaceful sleepT_T

Daemon has been married to Nyra for 6-7 years and you cannot tell me his shadow or influence did not fall upon the Velaryon boys. Its a tragedy the show did not care to explore about this part. I showed it in Luke in the previous chapter, how Daemon's raising increased his capabilty in sword play and his confidence; not much but significantly enough. I showed in Jace in chap 5, how he was willing to do anything and will not compromise shit when it comes to his mother and his family, how his instincts are sharp and alert and Daemon's trust in him to manage shit when he is away. I showed it in Joffrey, as he as said in the fic as Aemond's clarity; was a babe when laenor passed so daemon was the only father he knew and was raised by. Ofc the kid bites and has a determined and stubborn instinct even at such a young age.

Luke and Aegon's talk and understanding towards each other. Need i say more T_T?

In a cruel irony of fate indeed, Vhagar and Arrax meet on the skies again. This time Aemond is following not to give chase but to protect. But Luke's trauma is still a fresh wound. How will it go i wonder.

A9. Who was your first ship?

The earliest ship I remember that I got actually invested in is Reaper76 from Overwatch. I mean, traumatized old gay men who like to shoot at each other and have a HistoryTM? It covers all the basics for me. Also this ship is what made me find AO3, so it kinda introduced me to fandom as a whole and is therefore technically responsible for all the madness that came after it.

B9. Who is your OTP?

You know, I was going to say this is a hard question because I have so many pairings I like in several fandoms and I dont really pick favorites because I like different aspects about them and also Im indecisive. And then I remembered Symbrock. And nothing really comes near the level of absolutely messy devotion of (comics!)Symbrock. So yeah.

C6. Is there anything in canon that made you want to quit the show? What was it? Why do you hate it?

Oh boy, here we go... So not a show, but allllll the shit Cates did with absolute garbage & co and what came after essentially made me quit venom comics and comics in general. Do I even need to explain myself? Like I was keeping up with Venom and also Spider-man and some others because it was fun and enjoyable. And then came the egregious retconning, inconsistencies, character butchering (both how they were written but also literally), characters dying and coming back and dying again and coming back again and fucking gods apparently and how every single issue was The Most Shocking And Dramatic Things The Characters Have Ever Been Through and everything is just edgy and grimdark and angsty and so fucking STUPID and it was just. It wasnt fun or enjoyable anymore, only exhausting and frustrating and sad. And not sad like a sad story makes you feel, but sad like watching something you care about irreparably crash and burn in real time without being able to do anything about it and knowing you can never have it back the way it was (which there is enough of IRL). So I powered through until king in black where I just said "reading this bullshit is draining and depressing and doesnt bring me anything, its not worth it anymore so fuck it" and just stopped. And with my main reason for reading comics gone I ditched marvel comics altogether because lets be honest keeping up with all the different stories and timelines and crossovers and whatnot is exhausting cuz theres just so damn much going on all the time. And why torment yourself with shitty canon when you can have wonderful fanfics tailored to your specific tastes all for free? So I quit comics, read fics instead, got into some new fandoms, indulged my hc and have ever since been living blissfully unaware of the burning dumpster fire (derogatory) that is canon. I only see glimpses of it when it crosses my dash, which I use for cherrypicking for my hc and aggressively ignore the rest.

D10. What is one story idea you really want to read but no one has written yet?

I have a whole lot of story ideas I really want to read (my hcs) that no one has written yet (that would be cuz of me not writing them). But for real, I would love more stories with symbiote & spider-people shenanigans. Like there was this one comic of Peter, Miles and Gwen meeting Venom and fighting Doc Ock toghether and they were kinda buddies? More stuff like that, that has spider/symbiote interaction besides them just trying to kill each other. Maybe it exists and I just havent found it. But like, Venom in spiderverse, they have to team up with the spider gang and they kinda get along because he doesnt have any personal beef with them. He will absolutely recite and discuss Shakespear with that medieval spiderman, be enamored with little Mayday, and be nothing but gentlemanly toward spider ma'am. The other spiders find that "yeah he is freaky and has some dubious morals but isnt actually just an evil monster, he just doesnt like you Peter". The Peter in question does not like it one bit. Him and Venom (barely) tolerate each other, as they always do when they team up, but are constantly petty and passive aggressive towards each other in a funny way, bickering like an old married couple. Because of the nature of their history they also know stuff about each other and will casually drop highly personal details about the other that makes the other spiders go "👀 you sure he's your enemy and not just your ex?". Which Peter likes even less. Other story ideas i desperately need is ANYTHING WITH ANTI-VENOM HOLY SHIT WHERE IS MY BABY!?!?!?! I need stories that let him be a silly dumbass and a pathetic wet beast and occasionally getting railed that dont just exist in my head. But the amount of content on him is just dismal. I often feel like the sole inhabitant of the ghost town that is the Anti-Venom fandom. I've come across one (1) quality fic that portrays him properly (thank you @kitausuret for your invaluable service) and good art is hard to come by compared to other characters. And I realize that if I want more art of him and an Anti-Venom x Agent Venom arch-enemies-to-reluctant-allies-to-even-more-reluctant-friends-to-how-the-hell-did-this-happen excruciating slow burn, I will probably have to do it myself, which hghgnghgnhhh will take forever, but oh well.

Also I'm afraid all of them are lesbian headcanons because I am + I really like analyzing stuff from that perspective. also sorry if any of these aren't very eloquent i'm not good at putting my thoughts into words but I hope this answers your question well enough!

Brick: Yeah obviously i was gonna say this. i usually headcanon characters as butch lesbians anyways but my friend headcanons her as a trans girl and i adopted that too and in my perspective its an interesting read on her character... it just means a lot to me i guess. i talked about this more in depth already (here and here) but idk if those held up/are still good. so you judge that for yourself but i guess it gives more perspective on that specifically

Courtney: She's so lesbian to me... i don't really know how to word this properly but like. her comphet goes crazy... it's like she's so nitpicky about how her boyfriends/male love interests act and behave that to an extent it seems like she doesnt even want a boyfriend. she's just performing heterosexuality by trying to make every guy that likes her into her idea of a "perfect man" but its not because she's attracted to a specific type of man, its bc she wants to be seen as the perfect girl and in her mind that's a straight woman (so internalized homophobia + comphet). like notice how she has a very specific idea of a guy in mind that she's supposedly into and wants to change duncan/scott/whoever else into but shes never actually into a guy like that. its only people who she would have to mold into being like that bc imo that's the only way she would be able to stomach being in a long term relationship with a man without feeling Wrong about it i guess

Jo: Admittedly her being a lesbian to me is mostly based off appearances, and I wouldn't call her good rep of butch/gnc women by any means, but she is to me. like you'd have a hard time convincing me of anything else. she's literally just a butch lesbian. Apparently people think this is stereotypical or something and yeah maybe but just bc it is doesn't mean butches will stop existing and i think it's nice we can find comfort/happiness in seeing masculine women in stuff we like as butches (despite how poorly the show treats them for being masculine)

Heather: She straight up just doesn't show interest in men canonically (except alejandro, who I see as a woman anyways) except when she's using it for strategic purposes/her own personal gain. I also think a lot of her disdain for romance from her teammates is not just bc she's unhappy and hateful but also because she's personally not interested in romance like they are (aka m/f romance). Also semi-related I've seen people say she was mean to lindsay/leshawna because she liked them and i personally hate that rhetoric, lesbian or not 😭 especially since a lot of her actions towards leshawna were racist and not just plain old mean. I do like heathsay though (<- I also like pinkberry (bmc) and I think they have a similar dynamic which is a discussion for a whole other post. but i thought yall should know)

Alejandro: I just think she's more interesting/her gimmick is more fun as a woman. She's a character I like already but its really just more fun to me to imagine her as a lesbian. And I headcanoned her as such already but one of my friends hcs her as an intersex woman and I thought that was really interesting so I just adopted that as well lol

Harold: trans girl + lesbian.. again this was initially adopted from a friend but I think it makes a lot of sense. Sorry for not elaborating on this one as much i do have thoughts on it but I don't really know how to phrase them right now? maybe ill elaborate another time idk I've written about it before but I don't think it's up to snuff enough to post on here (yet)

YOU. YOU GET IT. theres a lot of things here that i didnt really consider so i wanna talk about it

the running theme of killing themselves is SO interesting- is this a trait both of them have naturally? or did wash pick it up from epsilon or vice versa? we're told that when an ai is implanted, the host can hear their thoughts in their head and feel their feelings to a certain extent. which is, in itself, a woefully unexplored concept and leaves a lot of room for speculation- just how "mixed" are they? do they ever feel more like one person than 2 separate people? i mean, even just spending time with someone for long enough can have you picking up mannerisms from them, so surely when youre sharing a brain that phenomenon would be amplified. and all of this has huge implications on just how the whole "exploding in washs head" affected both of them. i really love fics that explore this in more detail- giving wash issues with distinguishing which memories are his and the like (*cough cough* put my guns in the ground). like wasnt there even a line in the show where wash is sarcastically like "yeah i had an ai unravel itself while its mind was indistinguishable from my own, but nah im totally fine" or something??? like how much of it was epsilon freaking out and how much of it was wash? was wash also freaking out in response to the feelings epsilon was having, causing a sort of chain reaction? or was he experiencing it in the same way epsilon was at the same time? and how did wash feel afterward, to find that he had survived? was epsilon still there or had he already been removed? like there are so many questions about the logistics of this and the impact it would have on a person and we get almost NOTHING.

wash and epsilon and carolina..... youre SO right. wash having extremely complicated feelings toward the relationship between them..... always having it at the back of his mind when talking to carolina even if epsilon isnt out. even if epsilon isnt even in carolinas head at the moment! and this would be SO FUCKING GOOD to focus on in season 10, where carolina is dragging around wash and the reds and blues and the big confrontation is wash siding with reds and blues over carolina. it really just makes that whole conflict so much JUICIER if wash is like. having a lot of feelings about carolina and epsilon, and telling himself to get over it, and trying his best to be on her side in spite of how hes feeling and due to this internal conflict he doesnt stop to think if he even SHOULD be on her side. WAY more dramatic. could even have smth like wash pushing back against carolina and epsilon popping up like "hey man i know weve had beef in the past but dont take it out on her" and even though that WASNT what he was doing he questions himself enough to agree and let it go. now THATS a conflict

and yeah the retcons are definitely a shame- the private jimmy bleedover memories one is probably my least favourite. i barely even regard that as canon tbh, its just an obvious bandaid to explain the inconsistencies with the new lore they came up with. because it doesnt happen with any other ai and its never explored again. so personally ive never really given it any thought but it certainly has potential! especially given the nature of epsilon and memory- the idea that they had some memory bleedover and now BOTH have a hard time distinguishing between their own memories could be SO interesting

PUTTING EPSILON IN WASHS HEAD TO HELP WITH HIS POOR FUNCTION. OHHHH MY GOD YOU GET ME. prev this scenario is so good i could kiss you. i will be thinking about this forever. neither of them want it and theyre both remembering the last time they shared a head but also epsilon being with carolina is actively making his life harder (and maybe also carolinas!) and theres an easily accessible solution RIGHT THERE. ohhhhhh thats SO GOOD. ITS JUST SO GOOD. someone tell me if this fic exists because i NEED to read it. and if it doesnt i might have to write it myself (lets be honest ill probably do that either way). the idea of wash resisting at first but then finally relenting and then they try and as soon as epsilon gets in washs head theyre both VIOLENTLY reminded of last time and wash has to come to terms with the fact that hes not as over it as he would like to believe. but in the meantime theres still a lot of strain on epsilon being in carolinas head and they need to do something about it..... GOD. ROTATING THIS IN MY BRAIN FOREVER

did they ever get along..... personally i like the idea that there was very little time between the implantation and the brain explosion. like somehow getting implanted triggered epsilon to access his memories and they were both immediately overwhelmed by the intensity of them. there are a lot of things the freelancer arc did that i dont agree with but i like that take on it- which wouldnt leave any time for getting along. HOWEVER. we are also told that the fragments are specifically paired with their agents based on their personalities. so i think its very delicious to have them be generally very compatible despite never having had the chance to actually explore that while epsilon was implanted. because theres this sense of what couldve been. they only associate each other with pain and fear but then epsilon makes a quip at tucker and wash joins in and theyre both laughing when they make eye contact and for a brief moment their history doesnt exist and they just genuinely connect. but then the moment is gone and all the memories come back and its bad again. something something in another lifetime we would have gotten along. do you feel me. however i do like the other perspective, that they worked together and got along before epsilon exploded. it certainly makes the feelings surrounding the incident itself more interesting, as well as the mixed feelings they have for each other. ugh its just so good either way

i think ive read a couple fics where epsilon blew himself up in response to the director trying to pull him and i LOVE that. in trying to cling to the person you love, you inadvertently hurt them..... very tasty. this also lends itself to a really one-sided washilon dynamic where epsilon has always loved wash but wash still hasnt recovered from how epsilon damaged him. absolutely love it

i also never really thought about how epsilon fragmented bc alpha thought he got wash and tex killed..... EXTREMELY interesting. youve gotta wonder about the process..... do they do that to ensure that the fragment is compatible with the agent in question? it would kinda make sense- someone that fragmented due to wash being killed would likely be fond of him, right? if it was that distressing to get him killed..... or maybe they pair them up just based on personality- if you disregard the timeline shown in 9-10 you can imagine they have a backlog of fragments that they can pick from to pair with a specific agent, so it could just be a coincidence. its also shown that the fragments have no specific memories (just a vague sense of who they are), so they probably assumed epsilon wouldnt remember fragmenting due to getting wash killed. but he most certainly did remember, and maybe that was part of the catalyst for blowing himself up??? whatever the case, it certainly has implications that are worth exploring!

ANYWAY thank you for the delicious tags, as you can see i had MANY thoughts about them. i will be chewing on this for at least the next month bc washilon lives in my brain Rent Free

cause like. the rvb writers dropped a lot of balls, but this is the one i find personally the most upsetting. like. a soldier getting irreparably fucked up by an experiment gone wrong is the kind of premise i read fanfiction about (that probably says something about me but im not gonna examine it. moving on). especially since he STAYED with freelancer???? you could take this in so many different directions- his fellow freelancers are worried about him but he pushes through anyway. his fellow freelancers ARENT worried about him and push him harder than he can handle. the director pulls the ai fragments and theres hostility from more than just the one-dimensional "raging bitch" character. the director DOESNT pull the ai fragments, which seriously calls into question the ethics of the whole operation (which i believe is more in line with the pfl that was described in earlier seasons, but thats a story for another time) AND puts potential pressure on wash to get another implantation (oh my GOD. show me THAT version of pfl).

and of couse. how could i possibly forget epsilon. there is something so uniquely tasty about 2 characters who went through something traumatic together and then didnt see each other again until ages later- ESPECIALLY when one of them was the cause, even though they werent directly at fault, and the other was just unlucky enough to be involved. like holy shit????? the TENSION that would cause???? the discomfort being around each other? the guilt? having nowhere to place the blame except the director?? oh my GOD literally any interaction between them couldve had so much FLAVOUR. im not saying they need to be the main focus of the story or anything but we didnt get a single interaction!! not even a crumb!! like. do something with the fact that wash needed to have alpha in his head in season 6 despite refusing to ever have another ai after epsilon. do something with wash needing to SEE and HEAR and TALK TO epsilon again. do something with epsilon remembering fucking exploding in washs head!!!! im not asking for a lot here- asking for a lot would be suggesting a scenario like the one from season 6, except wash needs EPSILON in his head for some reason and gets legitimately triggered by it or cant bring himself to do it. thats the kind of shit i want to see, but i understand that that isnt carolina-centric enough so ill get it from fanfiction as god intended. but cant i ask for at least some awkwardness? maybe an uncomfortable confrontation? irrational hostility? SOMETHING. it doesnt have to be the focus but it should be THERE.

and like. youd think that this is an issue with retconning. and it kind of is, but its more about missed opportunities. like. i dont mind the retcon that freelancer was always its own thing, or that church was always an ai. those things are cool! they take the story in a more interesting direction! yeah it makes things more confusing and id prefer if the retcons werent necessary, but. its not the end of the world. but the thing with wash is. they did a really cool and interesting thing by having an ai COMMIT SUICIDE in his fucking HEAD. and then they went back on it! they very quickly went from "this clearly left a lasting impact on him" to "oh well it was bad, probably worse than hes letting on, but some of it was an act! so he could take em down from the inside!" to "yeah i mean he screamed while it was happening but he was fine when he woke up. no lasting consequences" and then it was never addressed again. and im mad about it!! they didnt even properly retcon it- they just decided that it had no consequences anymore, and it made washs character LESS interesting.
