Fanfic prompt : time and wind get seen by some gossip lady who immediately starts a rumor about wind being an illegitimate child of time's

The rumor spread so quickly that by the time the chain leaves it has already reached castle town and talon hears it from a customer

That rumor in itself is nothing new because every other week a rumor about such bullshit appears on the market

What makes it so weird is the fact that it involves his daughter's husband (again odd but not too weird link would at some stage be the main storyline considering the hero thing)

And a child who was apparently seen by the entire Village

Even the ones who don’t start rumors or anything are telling him that the child had a striking resemblance to link

And it only gets worse when he realizes that link was sent out on some “ hero business” by his childhood friend Zelda

When he returns Malon seemed to be doing okay and link was missing again and he didn’t want to talk about it with Malon in case it was just a really good rumor

Unfortunately he had to leave by the time link returned

Time quickly finds out about the rumor and after talking with Malon , lullaby and wind about a particularly fun game he thought about

He also starts to never leave wind's side and act much more fatherly then he has ever acted before

If the people want to think this about him who is he to tell them not to

When Talon returns he immediately starts grilling him about the kid

Talon “pointing at wind” : What is that link ?!?!

Time being his cryptic self and referring to the abandoned timeline : my sweet little mistake that both me and Zelda created by accident I only found out about him recently

It only got worse from there

Talon : What’s his name !?,

Malon: his mom called him link

Talon : so you’re not the mom

Malon : thank goddess hylia I wasn’t pregnant I will just take link from his mom

Talon never got an explanation and it physically pains him how nonchalant his entire family is about the situation and the husband who lost first name privileges to Link Jr is still together with Malon

if the game is established with the premise of "you can play as a beaten down, underdog minority in a world that oppresses your character for their race and/or religion. choose how they react to this dystopia and achieve their goals regardless" then yeah. not to be a bitch but there SHOULD be slurs and there SHOULD be unsettling scenes of violence or hatred.

if they set up that premise and then say "but actually, everyone is really nice and accepting of your character. there's just a few big meanies out there who don't like you, but no one agrees with them!" then that's unhinged and detached from reality. arguably straight up conservative propaganda like "ohh, there's not REALLY any societal oppression, people just like to complain, but there's no problem aside from a few bad apples. god bless america 😌". which is a far worse message than even the ham-fisted and sometimes edgelordy writing that bioware had up to this point. like i have a laundry list of complaints on how they handle it, but the fact that it exists in the plot is not one of them at all.

having stuff like the overtly horrifying city elf origin, or the dialogues with leliana or dorian - where they're otherwise kind, intelligent, friendly people, who believe in and benefit from a societal status quo that's abhorrent, is actually very effective at showing the scope of racism. sometimes it's violent and life-changingly brutal. sometimes it's systemic poverty and lack of options. sometimes it's your beloved bestie saying something so out of touch that you want to slap them.

that's the entire premise of the story, and what you agreed to engage with, when buying and playing it voluntarily. the point is to ask you as the player, what do you do about it?

Uuuuuh here's my take on a Teen Wolf movie fix-it, because god do we deserve it.

“Think of his son! Scott, he’s a child,” Stiles’ voice breaks as he thinks of Eli, young and alone after losing his only parent. He thinks of himself, and who he might have been had he lost his dad at Eli’s age.

Mostly, he thinks of Derek. Selfless, martyr, stupid Derek who still thought he was disposable after all these years, after raising a son and settling down and getting the quiet life he always wanted. Stiles thinks of Derek, and he feels himself falling apart at the seams because why is it that life still likes to punish kind, battered souls like Derek Hale’s? Why couldn’t it decide that he’d had enough, why did it have to kill him before letting him rest?

Stiles can’t accept it. He won’t accept it. He’s going to bring Derek back from whatever kind of shit afterlife he’s in, and he’s going to force him to live out his quiet life with his son if it’s the last goddamn thing Stiles ever does. That is the only ending he’ll accept for this beautiful, broken man.

Fuck everyone who wants to stop him.

“Stiles, he’s gone. You can’t— he’s gone,” Scott says, voice softening, obviously trying to be placating. Stiles doesn’t care for it.

“You can keep your head in fucking Allison land all you want, Scott. Get your child bride, fuck off back to wherever it is you left Beacon Hills for. But don’t you dare tell me what I can and cannot do. If you want to keep her, you’ll do it far, far away from here,” and Stiles thinks maybe this is the moment Scott finally gets it. That he is not the same boy who left after high school graduation. Whatever soft spot Stiles had for Scott is gone, went away with time and therapy and the realization that Scott would never care for him the way Stiles did for him, that he was kept close for his usefulness until it ran out and he became disposable.

So yeah, Scott can keep Allison. Stiles will be happy for him, even. But if he dares interfere with his own plans, Stiles will put them both in the ground himself.

It’s not like it’d be the first time he’s done so.

Warriors and Legend's dynamic is the most ridiculous thing ever

Fanfic prompt : Especially if it’s a true older sibling younger sibling dynamic

Warriors is the one who would torment Legend for daring being his bitter and salty as fuck self

To the point where he would probably bully the other into being less bitter just because he kept saying how horrible the other's existence was

And Legend had to prove him wrong on principle

Warriors be that kind of older brother who smashes Legend’s head into the cake and then gets him a new one

He definitely seems like the type to make fun off legend

While also having his arm ready to grab him if they are near any form of escape

Windows and Cliffs included

He needs his punching bag to torment

It’s for mental health

Who is he going to tease if the rabid rat is gone

An older sibling's teasing and love towards the middle child is ALWAYS the most devious and dangerous there is

The rest of the chain are not the ultimate middle children

That’s all Legend with his teenage angst and physical reaction towards Warriors' existence

He visibly experiences pain when Warriors is getting any kind of success

He has to ruin it or else he won’t reach the most inner peace of being a demon spawn that any middle child craves to have for once

They are so older sibling and their younger rat sibling coded

It’s unbelievable

Like even if Legend gets put under mind control or something (because of his dark form) he would rather get into an argument with Warriors and stop in the middle of killing somebody to tell him he is the worst thing in the universe

Then actually be controlled

The sibling rivalry is TOO fierce for even the strongest kind of mind control

The urge to be a gremlin is too powerful

The chain has to constantly drag those two away from each other because Warriors loses any and all maturity and self control when in general proximity to Legend

Time , Sky and Twilight be berating him on being too harsh

Just like any other parent does because you are bigger and older

Even when the younger one started it (the universal experience is no joke Legend was giving him the middle finger behind the others's back)

And the cycle continues

While also trying to force them both to be friends even if they are more or less the weirdest but best friends anyway
