Blitz going to Fizz for help with his night with Stolas is wild when you remember how Fizz and Ozzie ripped into their relationship in the first place

After all, this all began at Ozzie’s club

They viciously mocked Blitz and Stolas’ relationship, tore apart all of their insecurities in front of everyone, and left them unable to face each other for months afterwards

And now Blitz is happily going back to Fizz for help like none of it happened

It’s either a testament to Blitz’s character development to put that all behind him as he reconnects with an old friend, or it’s a testament to how easily he pushed down his pain

Knowing Blitz, it’s probably a bit of both

FULL MOON SPOILERS!!!!

So first of all..

I was not expecting to see the cherubs this episode. That... That was a big shock. Seeing them and their plotline was certainly interesting. It was funny seeing their reactions to just everything going on with Blitzø.

And speaking of Blitzø. Um fuck?! My heart that hurt!? "I think so highly of you. I didn't realize you think so little of me" like OUCH? I keep adding question marks to my sentences because my brain can't quite comprehend how it's feeling.

I find it really interesting that Blitzø brought up Stolas's imp butlers. This is a part that has stuck out with me really strongly. Cuz we've seen Stolas squeeze the shit outta one of them when angry on the phone with Stella. And it really makes me wonder just what kind of behavior has Blitzø exactly seen of Stolas interacting with his butlers. Because Stolas is a very rich man, who has only imps working for him and Blitzø noticed.

Which is funny because he notices literally nothing happening around him this whole episode. Which feels thematically relevant. He's always been oblivious to the more emotional side of Stolas's affection for him but that is also by design of how Stolas treats him. Remember Stolas is the same guy who used to get routinely bleeped due to his sheer level of hornyness. Blitzø has only ever seen their relationship through a sexual lens.

I also find it very interesting that he goes into that interaction already extremely worried and insecure and scared out of his mind that Stolas is tired of him. Which makes going in and being confronted with Stolas's emotions even more jarring and confusing for him. He's already coming in with an intense amount of anxiety with the singular goal of pleasing Stolas, which just highlights the unhealthyness of their dynamic that Stolas is trying to break away from.

Moving on to Stolas's mind for a bit. It has got to fucking hurt that when you finally put yourself out there emotionally and the other person immediately thinks you must be fucking with them. I think it really opened his eyes to how their relationship has truly been when Blitzø assumes that this serious conversation must just be some really weird roleplaying scenario.

And when Blitzø yells at him and reveals that he thinks of him as this rich pampered jerk, it is a startling difference of perception between the two of them that Stolas now has to contend with. It is so interesting to me how Stolas in this scenario is trying really hard to think about things from Blitzø's point of view in terms of how their deal must be affecting him, but he's also not prepared or emotionally equipped to think about how that must shape how Blitzø sees him as a person.

So overall that just leaves us with a lot of pain, and anguish, and a really beautiful episode.

And wow...that hurt.

APOLOGY TOUR SPOILERS / HELLUVA BOSS CRITICAL POST

(please just dont read if youre a fan/are gonna be annoying in my tags/replies)

i LOVE verosika. i was super excited to see an episode all about her. she has EVERY right to be mad at blitz, and i do enjoy seeing things from the perspective of his victims. BUT.....i was really disappointed in her portrayal in apology tour. MOSTLY just because i was dissapointed in stolas portrayal in apology tour, and think this ep wouldve been better if it was more about BLITZ instead. rant under the cut

im not gonna give the whole rant about how annoying it is that stolas is constantly woobified, because 100 critical blogs have done it much more gracefully than i ever could. but it is just SO dissapointing to watch a man that couldve been SUCH a compelling villain be the ONLY one who is EVER sympathized with in the show. we are supposed to feel bad for him and believe that both sides are wrong in the stolitz situation, when stolas' crimes are SO MUCH WORSE than all of blitzs bad deeds combined. he co-erced blitz into a sex contract as the only means of doing his job, and then made HIM feel guilty for not falling n love with him during it. the 'both sides are in the wrong' comment gets particularly frustrating when the show has, tme and time again, only let stolas be the one with support. blitz is made to look unreasonable, no matter how right he is. and, in this instance, stolas is the one getting invited to this party to celebrate being ""wronged"" by blitz.

back to verosika. especially now that the episode is out, i am even more firmly on her side. the fact that blitz broke up with HER because things were getting too serious is interesting (albiet not as interesting as i think it couldve been but thats a rant for another post). im not saying she should forgive blitz, but i do struggle to fully agree with her because of how she treated stolas in the episode. she is the first to comfort him, the first to try and encourage him to shit-talk blitz, etc etc and i just dont understand.....why?

ive already had problems with her character since the sexual assault ""joke"" from spring broken, but this also really left a bad taste in my mouth. i totally understand her desire to party and sympathize with other people who were harmed by blitz, but its frustrating that stolas was invited to be among them. stolas, the man who is very much NOT THE VICTIM in his relationship with blitz. this is more the fault of the writers than verosika herself, but it is SO FRUSTRATING that she gave him the spotlight and is trying to help him heal from a situation that is ENTIRELY HIS FAULT. stolas didnt just hurt blitzs feelings, he sexually coerced and abused him. of all people, shouldnt verosika understand how terrible that can be? the kind of hurt that can do to a person? im not saying that this terrible relationship FORGIVES blitz's wrongdoings, but you shouldnt be giving his fucking abuser a stage and a microphone to talk shit about his victim. this becomes so much more insidious to me with the conversation she has with blitz on the balcony, later. this was actually a pretty good scene imo but it could certainly be better.

this is much more opinionated and i wouldnt be surprised if even the critical community isnt with me on this one, but i long for an alternate verson of this episode thats focused on verosika being on blitz's side, instead. its been over 5 years since they dated, and even though she is still allowed to be mad, it would be nice to see that shes moved on. maybe give her a new partner like barbie wire and let her throw these parties just so she can look back and laugh and help blitz's other victims heal in the same way that she has. not to bring up an also not-great show, but in rick and morty, we see a relationship between rick and one of his ex-partners named unity. they were really terrible for each other, enabling bad/unhealthy behaviors, generally being awful. their break-up was messy, but in recent seasons, we see unity coming back, upon hearing that rick was doing something self-destructive. they worried about him, because a part of them still cared, as much as they were hurt by his actions. i would have LOVED to see a similar thing with blitz and verosika, where verosika finds out about the relationship blitz is trapped in/just got out of. i think it would be SO MUCH MORE naratively interesting, for her to be supportive of his little apology tour, and maybe even inviting HIM to the "blitzo sucks" party. not everyone (or anyone) needs to forgive him; in fact, i think coming to this party would give him perspective. his relationship with stolas has hurt him so badly, he can finally step back and understand the harm that he did to all these people. the apologies that he gave, as he admits in the episode, were shallow. but i think framing stolas as the toxic one would be better in helping him realize that he has done wrong more than what the show is currently doing. and maybe some people at the party WILL forgive him. maybe he can apologize on the stage, and some people will empathize with his situation and believe that the apology is genuine, because hes finally had to be on the other end of his own hurt. and maybe THAT would be the first step in helping blitz realize that maybe he isnt completely unlovable, because there are people who cared about him enough to be THIS DEVASTATED upon getting their heart broken by him. a conversation with verosika about what he did to her would hit so much harder after this, imo

anyway. im sorry if this is completely incoherent/a bad point. i was just thinking about it and i am so sick of everyone being a stolas apologist </3

I'm just going to compile everything I personally believe about the full moon, my predictions for things in it based on the trailer/past episodes, and just some miscellaneous other things.

Disclaimer: 1. these are all theories and this post is for fun 2. excuse all my screenshots bc I didn't feel like cropping them lol

Scenes in the trailer

Scenes I KNOW will be in The Full Moon

These three scenes are in the Stolitz Duet preview that we saw at the LVL UP panel - so they're confirmed :)

Scenes I'm CONFIDENT will be in there (but not confirmed)

They are using the book! and we are pretty sure Stolas is giving Blitzo the crystal in this episode. So this scene is pre-crystal :) Most likely the beginning of the Full Moon Episode.

Also Blitzo's suit jacket has blood on it! Which is important because that would prompt him to take it off (not wanting to see Stolas while covered in blood) and explain why in the rest of these scenes he's not wearing is jacket

So this scene would match up (Blitzo's outfit), which additionally goes along with all these scenes:

In all these scenes he is wearing the same outfit :) therefore part of the same episode <3

It's harder to say for Stolas, since it seems he's wearing the same outfit he wears a lot- but these are the scenes that I think are in the Full Moon based on 1. his outfit is the same 2. the scenes are simillar 3. the mood/theme of the scene would make sense

I believe this scene is in the Full Moon because it looks like it follows this gif that was posted on the Helluva Boss twitter:

ADDITIONALLY, at the beginning of the duet that was shown at the LVL UP panel, we hear Stolas "throw up" as he sings about "butterflies in his stomach". Therefore, we think that Gif is the beginning of the Stolitz duet, which is then followed by the scene in the trailer (pictured above), and then the rest of the Stolitz duet (shown at the LVL panel, you can find it on youtube).

Okay hear me out- it is MOST LIKELY in the full moon episode, for obvious reasons. (but.. what if its not... what if this is stolas sadly looking at the full moon in the apology tour or something... knowing he won't see blitz for the first time since they started seeing each other.... what if.....)

The only reason i'm pretty confident this is in the Full Moon episode is because... i want it to be? lmao. Like this could definitely be Blitzo sulking after things go wrong.

Scenes I think are definitely possible but i'm not confident

Notes: I was watching the trailer and realized theres most likely not a lot of scenes in it from Sinmas, since there's only a few from Mastermind (supposedly). They probably don't have a lot of animation done for the last two episodes. Therefore most scenes have to be ghostfuckers, apology tour, and the full moon.

I think it's pretty easy to see which scenes are confidently most likely from ghostfuckers and apology tour. So that leaves some scenes that might be from anything but are more likely from The Full Moon (since they probs don't have a lot of animation done for the last two).

ADDITIONALLY, they've been working on The Full Moon for what- 6? 7? Months? meaning it has to be a longer episode (at least 20 mins, most likely 30 mins). The crystal scene cannot be all of it.

Therefore I think these scenes have a good chance to be in The Full Moon, but i'm not confident and i don't really have any definite evidence for it.

(Stolas wearing the same fit therefore all the same scene) (could be a flash back?) (Could be after they breakup and Blitz is trying to make things better?) (Stella could have said something stupid which causes Stolas to get mad. Then she leaves, Blitz shows up, and they hang out???) (Maybe they don't break up, and agree to try to work things out/restart, and this is the beginning of that?) (So many options)

(could be apart of a song?) (I saw someone say we were maybe getting two songs this episode?)

(okay hear me out-) (Yes I agree this is most likely in an episode further down, like sinmas, after they develop their relationship further) (but what if-) (the idea here is that stolitz kinda breaks up/fights at the beginning of the episode, and then, and then this happens) (like i'm not certain what the context could be, like why Blitzo is there and why Andrealphus is attacking) ( but what if after their fight Blitzo saves Stolas's life, he shows up, shows he cares in this way-) (thus setting up the plot for apology tour) (where they decide hey- maybe we can work this out)

(Im including this because I DONT THINK it will be in The Full Moon, but I guess? it's possible) (because anything is possible) (but I think this is a court scene) (which is most likely going to be about the divorce?) (which btw, we think this is a court scene because of the trailer scene with mammon, he's obviously in the same room as these two, and he's wearing a suit? also Viv posted a video of Bryce Pinkham, who voices Stolas, saying a line that indicated he was in court, talking about Blitzo). (anyway) (I think this is A LOT of important plot) (and I think that would be too heavy to include in the Full Moon Episode) (I think it's more likely to be the B plot of another episode like Ghostfuckers or Mastermind)

Plot Predictions (theories?)

Okay so based on all the scenes we have, this is my official conclusion / prediction for how the episode will go (half based on my own wants and half based on evidence)

Starts with the Stolitz Duet.

Blitz goes to work with I.M.P and gets covered in blood. takes off his coat

Gives Moxxie the rest of the work for the day because he has "important business to attend too"

He goes to FIZZAROLLI'S HOUSE hehe

his important business was essentially asking FIZZAROLLI HOW TO SPICE UP THEIR DATE

bonus points if he asks for dating advice / confesses it might be more than it seems

Fizz shows him around, shows him some stuff (thus the scene where he's holding the uh....toy)

Thats where Blitz gets that big ass candle

Because he leaves here

and heads to Stolas' Palace

he shows up, either suspecting nothing and thinking it will go perfectly normal, or just pretending that everything's normal

he's excitedly showing Stolas the stuff he brought (like the candle and maybe other things that he got from Fizz)

Stolas interrupts him, suggests they should talk or something idk but theres some segue into him giving Blitz the crystal

They fight !! Thats when Blitz takes it badly, theres miscommunication, Blitz yells about how "You think you can just toy with our feelings because we are smaller"

At some point Blitzo reaches for Stolas' hand, maybe after saying something that crosses the line, and Stolas sends him through a portal (bc in that one scene, if you watch slow enough, you see blitz reaching for stolas' hand but ends up through a portal instead)

Cue: Sulking.

After this, is all really just headcanon? very loosely put together scenes that are pretty based on nothing, just assumptions. So take it as you will:

17. Maybe even cue: talking to m&m, talking to Loona, talking to someone and realizing he wants to try to fix this, or at least talk to Stolas again

18. Potentially returns to the palace, where Stolas is in the garden (and personally I think he fights with stella in that scene where he says "do you have any remorse for what you do" but I guess this could be to Blitzo aswell). Blitzo is half trying to act like things are normal, trying to kinda win him back, or talk to him or SOMETHING

19. Stolas catches an attitude bc wtf blitz pls be normal and communicate wtf

20. Idk what really happens here uhhhh

22. He returns

23. and Andrealphus is attacking the palace

24. boom thats where he defends stolas

27. They have a moment of mutual understanding, almost an unspoken "yes I love you too, idiot" and thus decide to work on things

lets out a breath anyway, that really concludes everything I think about The Full Moon and all the evidence/hints/peaks we've gotten for the episode.

notice how during stolas' proposal basically (cant help but see the gem as like a wedding ring ngl) blitz's eyes are shining because he cant help but hope

and then when he goes 'ohh youre just fucking with me right? this is some roleplay shit right?'

because its so incomprehensible in his mind that this is what he truly thinks it is.

anyway people have explained before about how stolas then proceeds to shut him out like being faced with blitz being in denial about it and taking it as a rejection

meanwhile blitz is like 'wait a second you were SERIOUS?'

and then hes like 'wAIT' because hes trying to understand. to comprehend that stolas was being real about it. that someone wants him. but then he doesnt have the time to think about it because stolas is leaving and he doesnt want stolas to leave

and yknow how blitz is hes kind of an asshole so then he defaults to being angry and frustrated. (i wonder if he feels like he'll only be heard by being angry and yelling. or if by being angry, by shutting people out and being the one to break it off makes blitz feel more in control. anyway-)

no but listen before this hes like 'what the fuck?' stolas leaves, blitz follows him in silence still in that confused and hella surprised state because it was so unexpected while stolas' talking about stuff

hes silent for awhile (probably trying to make sense of it while half-listening)

and then stolas is like 'thats enough to know what this is' and THEN blitz gets all angry and yelling

and inside hes just like. ..thats it? but its like. stolas is going to leave. and he doesnt want him to go. but he also doesnt know how to express that (especially with stolas having completely shut him out at this point in his own feeling, so set in the rejection without realizing that blitz hadnt actually rejected it. had been in disbelief instead of an actual no. and i get why he didnt stay to continue the conversation it just. sucks. so bad.)

("Can I get a fucking minute to think" got stuck in my head) and then blitz gets angry and blames stolas because thats whose infront of him. someone he can yell at and get angry which is so much easier then trying to decipher his feelings, or stolas' feelings. to try to understand. to be vulnerable especially in front of someone who he may like but its also complicated considering the power imbalance, or how all royals are asses so surely stolas cant be different, how its just a transactional relationship and nothing serious.

hes also saying things he doesnt necessarily mean meanwhile stolas is taking it to heart like 'this is how he really feels about me' when that isnt true (blitz is kind of just making excuses. and instead of being 'set free' as it might seem to stolas, it seems to him like stolas is just. throwing him away. getting bored of him. hes ignoring the love confession stolas just says 'i want you' PLEASE be more blunt about it oh my god theres so many wordings that i have an issue with from stolas im going to be honest.

like LISTEn he goes 'i want you'. blitz is in denial. stolas then starts to acceptance/resignment and blitz is like 'wait a fucking second'

so blitz who thought they were going to have a sexy time. suddenly gets hit with feelings out of the blue. and he doesnt do good with those. and its so incomprehensible that he doesnt believe it. and then basically stolas rejects him right after with blitz realizing 'wait you were serious?' and then gets angry like 'what? no, it can't be over. ..well fuck YOU then!' like. he kind of feels betrayed? like 'how dare you spring this feelings bullshit on me (and then LEAVE)'

also is he projecting? has he experienced something??? and i really dont think hes had the chance to properly process so he's just shoving it aside and focusing on the then and now. which is stolas leaving and dismissing him which blitz takes offence to and accuses him of being like all the other royal assholes. because he doesnt know how else to communicate. this is not to say that he isnt an asshole because he is, but id like to say that theres reasons to all of it.

ALSO ALSO. i think its less that blitz believes stolas to be like that but (besides reasoning to himself that stolas is just like all the others so he can distance himself and cut ties even if it hurts) that its because thats the position stolas has and so its what he turns to for insults. i had more to say about this part but i already forgot, oops.

and ive seen people talk about this too but stolas conversing through words while blitz converses through feelings. so its like for blitz youre not meant to listen to what hes saying but to listen to the feeling? meanwhile stolas being through words (thus probably feeling like 'i want you' is explanation enough while blitz needs more clarification then that)

and potentially with stolas being all horny around him cause haha my crush is here and hes hot and i love him and aaah making blitz think stolas just wants him because of what he can offer? (and maybe if hes never faced love that its unrecognizable? especially towards him?) a thought to go onto another time

also another thought to go down. you think after blitz realizes hes serious that hes trying to coomunicate. with the 'can i get a FUCKING moment to think'

and then his mouth goes on autopilot and starts insulting him trying to stall trying to get him to stay even if its with hurtful words because thats what hes used to thats what he does (also defaulting to anger)

just like yelling at him trying to get stolas to just stop walking. to stop turning his back on him.

and hes just running on anger at that point because he didnt get too long to process that stolas was serious so a part of him still thinks that its just. not real? and hes running off of that because again its so much easier than being vulnerable with someone

blitz has. probably been very trustful of someone, only for them to betray him and hurt him and use him so ahdishfu

also probably blitz's attempt at trying to get them to actually communicate

to get him to stop. stand still. stop leaving. stop moving. just turn around, face him, and talk. to get all their feelings out and explain. to clarify.

maybe he even wants stolas to get angry because that's what he's used to. wants him to get angry so they can get it all out there. maybe wants a part of him to feel vindicated of 'he was right, stolas was an asshole', the part of him that doesnt want to be close to anyone in fear of being hurt

..and then stolas doesn't react how blitz expects him to. (because they DONT understand each other at all! they don't interact all that much outside of sex, and stolas offering it to blitz is rejected)

blitz realizing 'wait... shit...' to wheres hes immediately brought out of his anger by stolas' words

'goodbye'

also it almost sounds like blitz is saying 'Stolas, wait I'm s-' as in 'im sorry'

realizing it wasnt going as he expected it to. that stolas really was serious. that stolas was hurt. that stolas was going to actually leave and blitz. doesnt. want that to happen. so then he. tries.

and then goes 'what the fuck' when he appears outside

and honestly sometimes a lot of relationships need space from each other to realize who they are without them. and also to realize how much they care about the other, yknow? to understand their feelings without anything else complicated thrown into the mix.

listen: blitz could go back into complete denial like 'no fuck stolas actually-'. realize he misses stolas, actually.

cause i feel like he really did try at the end only to get shut out (its a really complicated situation because ive also seen people talk about how blitz yelling could remind stolas of stella(?) i think the person he divorced)

and it could be seen as rejection of him trying to do feelings talk. which he could double down on his 'no one can love you, itll only bring you hurt' idea, or bringing other people hurt (as in his mother's death or fizz getting hurt)

but i feel like he also needs time to just realize things. to think things through instead of being faced with immediately having to respond because theyre talking face to face. immediately having to respond because stolas is leaving and if he doesnt say anything then that'll be it.

its complicated. honestly, though. i feel like its for the better for them to have this break. to rebuild their life without the transactional relationship. i just wonder how they'll get back together (daughter plotting time? maybe?)

i wonder if hell has therapy. (...but also. what if the therapists were corrupt and didnt hold any form of patient privacy???)

anyway i dont know if i made sense. ive just had these thoughts stuck in my head so ive just been spewing out all the ones related to this so i could stop thinking about it

you know what that sounded like with loona having told blitz 'hes getting tired of you'

it sounded like stolas didnt want blitz to basically touch him anymore. which is probably blitz' interpretation of it and thus his anger of 'you think you can do this shit just because im an imp and youre a royal?' or whatever (hes not even touching the fact of the gem. its 'am i not good enough? i can do better!' because the book was the only reason in his mind why he could interact with stolas. and just. aghhh)

My thoughts on The Full Moon (potential spoilers)

Out of the five episodes in the second half of season two The Full Moon was the one I was looking forward to the most and it did not disappoint.

The animation in this episode was absolutely spectacular and gorgeous. This show’s animation has gotten progressively better with each episode release and I can’t wait to see how amazing future episodes will look.

So like a lot of people, I first saw and heard the Stolitz duet on a YouTube video that was a recording from LVL UP Expo and because of the hype for The Full Moon, as well as the Stolitz duet that many people said was going to be in this particular episode, there was an exciting reaction with lots of screaming, cheering, and even laughter that you couldn’t exactly 100% hear the song. So when I finally got to hear the Stolitz duet in it’s entirety with no one’s reaction but my own, I was beyond impressed with the song to the point where I simply just had this going through my mind.

I really hope that at some point we get an official Helluva Boss Season One and Helluva Boss Season Two soundtrack just like Hazbin Hotel did with its first season soundtrack. The music and songs in both these shows are quite astounding and I can’t wait to hear more wonderful tunes being released in both shows.

Other than the Stolitz duet, I would have to say another highlight of this episode was the last five minutes where the relationship dynamic between Blitz and Stolas has changed. The last five minutes of The Full Moon were emotional to say the least with Stolas finally ending the transactional part of his relationship with Blitz by giving him an Asmodean Crystal, Stolas confessing his feelings for Blitz right to him, Stolas telling Blitz that he doesn’t have to stay with him but that he wants Blitz to stay with him only if Blitz wants to, Blitz misunderstanding Stolas, Stolas misunderstanding Blitz, Blitz yelling at Stolas about how all royals do is play with the people like Blitz’s feelings thus making Stolas feel that Blitz thinks so low of him while Stolas thinks so very highly of Blitz, and Blitz seeing that he made Stolas cry realizing that Stolas’ feelings for him were real and genuine which has Blitz feeling instant regret of what he said to Stolas and trying to apologize to him only for Stolas to tell him goodbye and have him teleported outside of the palace with Blitz having a reaction that sums up how everyone felt watching all that unfold.

I would like to add that there is no specific character at fault for what happened between Blitz and Stolas at end of The Full Moon. Both Blitz and Stolas made some right as well as wrong decisions in this episode since they both honestly tried their best. With Blitz he was actually trying for Stolas such as dressing up nicely, trying to show Stolas a good time that night, and he was truly excited to see Stolas after not seeing him for a few months. With Stolas he ended what was actually an unfair and wrong aspect to their relationship which was their transactional agreement, he confessed how he cared about Blitz, and let it be known that Blitz has the choice to either stay with Stolas or not. Blitz messed up by thinking it was all a role play and saying hurtful things to Stolas that he may not have actually meant to say. Stolas messed up by dismissing Blitz so soon and not giving him time to think about what just happened between them. Blitz and Stolas have both been through so much in their lives and are honestly quite similar to each other in certain aspects but they need to start having some sort of understanding of each other and in order for them to do that they are both going to have to apologize for what they did, quit with the miscommunications/misunderstandings, and actually get to know each other better.

The last highlight of The Full Moon I would like to point out are the vocal performances of Brandon Rogers who voices Blitz and Bryce Pinkham who voices Stolas. I am not kidding when I say these two should win some kind of award for their voice over work in this show and I know that there are no Streamy Awards for voice over performances but considering there are more and more online animation shows being made on YouTube I really think there should be such an award for that. Brandon Rogers and Bryce Pinkham gave it their all in The Full Moon from the beautiful singing in the Stolitz duet to the raw emotional powerhouse that is within the last five minutes their vocal performances are without a doubt one of the most phenomenal performances that I have ever heard.

A Fizziepop Take: Let's talk about when they saw each other and Stolas’ new look at himself

I have so many fucking feelings about this new episode, so let’ts get into it right now before I explode!!! Because... Oh. My. God.

Warning, potential spoilers ahead!

The duet in the beginning had me screaming. The music was amazing and so much was said within this 2 minute 40 second musical snippet of the show. First of all, the fact that this is the first Stolitz duet we’ve gotten in the series is absolutely amazing because there’s usually so much emotion in the undertones of the Helluva Boss songs, and this one is no different. “When I See Him” definitely is one of the best songs we’ve gotten in the show so far, and I loved seeing the difference in Blitz and Stolas as they prepare to see each other again since it seems as though this is the first time our impish little lovebirds have really seen each other for quite some time. There’s nerves on both ends… But while both men are worried that the other getting tired of each other since they view themselves as unloveable, we see two very different methods of handling the anxiety that is surrounding their usual full moon meeting. Stolas, in his usual dramatic fashion ends up hiding in the fridge at one point as he wrestles with the weight of what he plans to do, while Blitz does what he does best and tries to ignore the heaviness of the situation that he knows will be there by essentially saying that if he focuses on the sex stuff enough, everything else will just fade into the background for the time being.

Now, sometime around the first time I started falling down the tumblr rabbit hole as a writer, I responded to a post about how toxic the Stolitz relationship is, because no matter how you spin it, Stolitz is pretty freaking toxic as they were before the most recent episode. As the person I responded to all that time ago pointed out, this contractual agreement they have revolving around the full moon is an abuse of power on Stolas’ part…. And , I believe, emotional manipulation on Blitz’s part. The full moon agreement binds the two men, but somewhere along the line, both men actually developed feelings for one another and the full moon agreement was, in a way, a formality that made it less taboo to be together since Blitz is a lower class demon in comparison to the Goetia prince, and it gave both men something to blame in the event that one of them didn’t want the other. While the entire thing was fucked and toxic and hauntingly unhealthy for the both of them, the agreement did benefit both Stolas and Blitz….  But, as I’ve mentioned in other posts, the events of Ozzie’s was a real turning point for the couple

Their date at Ozzie’s really changed everything because when the two are alone together, Blitz tends to feel more in control of things and he feels genuinely desirable and needed in a way… But after seeing the owl prince actually hide his face in embarrassment when attention is drawn to him being with the imp, that illusion of being on a somewhat even playing field in all of this shatters abruptly. In the same token, Stolas never realized just how badly their agreement affected the imp until he attempted to salvage the night at the end by inviting Blitz over to spend time with him only to have Blitz tell him that he wasn’t in the mood to have sex that night and he knows that that’s all Stolas really keeps him around for. Seeing Blitz in pain that way hurt Stolas in a way that he wasn’t prepared for because he knows what it’s like to feel as unloveable as Blitz seemed to feel in that moment, prompting him to try to give Blitz his freedom back in the hopes of starting a genuine relationship.

This brings us to Stolas’s gift to Blitz: an asmodian crystal.

We see Blitz putting forth a genuine effort with Stolas in a few scenes, leading Stolas to believe that Blitz would genuinely choose to be with him even if he broke the tether of IMP needing him in order to access the human world. And we as an audience see the glimpses of Blitz caring for the prince and even being excited to see him in the beginning of “Full Moon”, but Blitz doesn’t take well to change and I think he values the comfortability and structure of the routine that they’ve built in a way…. Stolas on the other hand is starting to realize the wrong in what he’s been doing to the other man and his already fractured self image is going from “I don’t really like myself” to “I’m a straight up monster”, and I think this way of thinking is going to stick after hearing Blitz break and snap at him about how everyone tends to treat imps like him (and himself) like they don’t matter in any sense, meaning he inadvertently admits that Stolas has made him feel that in some sense within their time together. After being in a loveless marriage with an abusive partner (I use this term very loosely for Stella), I think Stolas felt as though he sank down to her level with Blitz… Although Blitz says that in the heat of the moment as his volcano of unfelt feelings erupts, and he does try to apologize, I don’t think Stolas will forgive himself for that for a long time, and I don’t think that he’s going to stop seeing himself as a monster for even longer.

After “Full Moon”, I am a little worried for Stolitz… But if I’m honest, Stolas and Blitz actually remind me of Ian and Mickey from Shameless. I think Blitz and Stolas are destined to be endgame the same way I always felt Mickey and Ian were. I also think that with both men having time apart after this breakdown, they’ll have an easier time healing from the trauma that the full moon agreement has put them both through… At least I hope that’ll be the case, cause ya know, this is just a humble Fizziepop Take.

Here's a thought for you.

You ever think that Stolas won't give Blitzo the Asmodean crystal in the next episode?

All of us, myself included mind you, have been hyping up The Full Moon episode as the one, The thing we've all been waiting for when the possibility of this not being the episode where Blitzo actually gets the crystal is very much a real possibility. Like we saw the sneak peak of Stolas waking up looking like he'd had a night with Blitzo, they still did that part of the deal meaning Stolas hadn't given Blitzo the crystal during that full moon.

We have all been so ready for this episode to be it. That this will be the episode where Blitzo will have to make the descion we've all been waiting for him to make, that this is the first time I'm actually taking a step back and realising...

Oh wait, it might not even happen.
