If you had tried to tell me this is where we’d be in Bahrain this year i’d have never believed you. I criticize Mclaren a lot (and rightfully so) but the progress that has been made this year, let alone from Bahrain 2023 is astounding. While I fully believe that with better strategy and decision making Mclaren could’ve had p1 in the WCC much earlier and Lando (or Oscar tbh) wouldn’t just be having a shot at winning the WDC I have to give some credit where it is due. I cannot wait for 2025 🧡

Now that I've become interested in Aegond I wonder if you have headcanons about them🤔 based on whatever, the book/show/fanon etc. Ofc if you like this relationship or interested in it please share your thoughts about it

originally I was very conflicted about them because of course the idea had crossed my mind, but then I went "nah no way these two could not never mind" and then after literal seconds I started debated "but wait, if we consider this and that then maaayybe?"

so. long story short. yes I ship them. And I consider them quite underrated too

I don't really have any headcanons though because they're still fresh in my mind so I gotta think about them.

I think the challenge with Aegon & Aemond is:

neither would want to relinquish control to the other. Of course relationships shouldn't even be about one having the upper hand, but it's Westeros and these are men so you bet they're gonna do it as excruciatingly difficult as possible.

While Aegon is lazy, he's prideful. Hes sullen and bitter about lots of things but won't do much about it. At the same time he likes being wild and free of responsibilities. Aemond is arrogant and in constant mood to prove himself while being angry at people 24/7.

So, safe to say in my mind there would be a lot of tug of war and of course they would be toxic as hell, 'cause c'mon you're talking to me

Also I suspect it's quite unpopular but as a queer person I prefer not to pretend the homophobia in asoiaf doesn't exist. Of course the people who want to ignore it are 100% valid and this boils down to personal preference but the way I see these two, they'd definitely have the internalized homophobia and extreme self denial.

Aemond definitely more than Aegon, but even the latter one for all his mischief, would have some as well.

Would these two be happy? eh hard to see honestly. As I mentioned, i imagine them to be that extreme toxic couple who constantly hurt one another but won't walk away. They probably won't ever acknowledge the problem.

I know some love going with the belief that the green kids didn't care about one another but dunno, i think they did but in the most twisted way possible?

Aegon does want to honor his brother in the book and I think his "loyalty" and "victories" have strengthened the trust and care in him. Not to mention that this was happening in a time where Aegon was in a horrible position (thanks to his choices) and Aemond was one of the good spots that had remained.

On the other hand for Aemond, i know he has the line about how the crown looked better on him but call me delulu but I don't take this as him hating Aegon. Aemond was arrogant af, thought he deserved the very best and of course he thought he'd make a better king than Aegon. He had this constant need to prove himself, hence the weird fixation of mirroring daemon.

anyways, I take the topic away from the ship but to bring it back, I totally ship them but as I do with every character i take the interpretation of their characterization and their dynamic from f&b and not the show
