Batman? Sure he can cheat and bring out some kryptonite but you really think he’s gonna defeat WONDER WOMAN?

Nightwing: maybe Roy, but Donna Troy literal Amazonian trained by Wonder Woman? He’s done for. And Garth the magic user. What’s he gonna do throw his escrisma stick at him? Wally West former temporal being? He’s dead before he can comprehend what is happening.

Jason Todd: I actually fully believe and stand by the idea that Roy Harper would defeat Jason in a fight, no I will not be accepting criticism. Don’t even try to tell me he stands a chance against my girl starfire. (I know he’s also friends with Artemis and bizarro but I try to avoid reading anything that involves Jason Todd)

Tim drake: bro’s got a kryptonian, Amazonian, and a speedster as friends. I don’t care if he’s a good detective, he’s getting the brakes beaten off him.

Damian Wayne: only one of his friends I know enough about is currently THE Superman. I know he can use kryptonite but that’s like tying a dude to a chair then beating them up and saying you won a fight against them.

I will not be including Stephanie brown, Cassandra Cain, or Duke Thomas because I actually like them and because I haven’t seen them interact with other DC characters enough to actually speak on this.

But guys I know they’re like “geniuses” or whatever, but they’re not the only ones…

personally i think if the writer was someone other than tom king, diana-damian team up would have been better.

the wonder woman comics were fun to read only if you act like its some kind of a fanfiction.

the only thing i liked from it was when they finally acknowledged the fact that being batman isn't the only path for damian(and they should considering damian doesn't even want to be the bat and cassandra cain is more suitable to carry the mantle)

what didn't make sense was making him batman in the future in the same comic. i don't know what was the intention. and frankly i don't care.

also as much as i loved damian and diana's conversation(the part where diana said "youre not batman nor do you have to be" and "dont forget im a child of god too" not the other parts they sucked) im confused on why damian is having this conversation with diana.

yes diana is a great character and personally damian and diana's personality could match eachother if written well but i dont think they are close enough to have a heart to heart conversation like this

also again with the talia thinking love is for fools/have inflicted that onto damian. its tom king writing so im not surprised but like cmon.

damian is like talia when it comes to love department. he loves like she does, with their whole heart.

We Got More Info!!!

The newest update just came out today, and we get some more information on our girl Maps. Buckle up because this is going to be a long one.

We're diving back into Maps' abilities.

○ So it turns out Maps had designed and created her own technology to Teleport and Time Travel. Which is a crazy feat all on its own! So teleporting requires her to have some sort of line of sight and organic material. Which means it's safe to assume she can appear just about anywhere she wants. (Sort of like instant transmission)

○ Another thing about her "instan transmission" is that it only applies to herself. So there isn't much she can do in regard to teleporting multiple people at once. But does that include objects? I feel like this could be a downside in the long run, but I can also see the benefits.

I like that she fizzles in and out of places, like lighting. The voice changer on her helmet is a nice touch, too.

○ Her fighting style is something to be desired, though. She uses an electronic shock to attack her opponent. I was hoping to see her use some offensive/defensive styles that the Bat family could have taught. (Cough Damian cough)

I definitely wanted to see another set of her abilities outside of just her device. But just seeing her in action was nice. Maybe once the real fight starts, we'll see more of her defense.

Another thing I noticed was a lack of a mask. I'm not sure how safe it is to not be wearing a mask without her helmet. I guess it's not a big deal since she introduced herself using her real name from the beginning.

But I doubt she does this in the future, Batman must not have been her mentor if this was allowed.

○ The time traveling isn't really explained much in the chapter, but what we do know is that it's only got a limited time frame, in each time period.

Referring back to that time, when she got that little notification on her device.

We're not sure what the "specific limit" is, but it's safe to assume it's not long. On top of her limited time remaining in the past/future. She probably won't give out much information about her future and how she became Meridian.

I've said this before, but I hope Maps gets her own issue about her journey of becoming Meridian. That would be so hyped!

All I'm all, I love the amount of "screen time" Maps is getting in this chapter. Hopefully, we'll get more action in the last chapter.

I’ve been on the pjo Reddit a couple of times (a huge mistake) because I need more content about my favourite minor characters and the amount of people who will say ‘May castellan got cursed because she had child’ is honestly shocking.

They’re not even right. In canon the only reason given as to why she was cursed was because Hades cursed the Oracle to never have another curse as long as ‘[his] children remain outcasts and as long as [he] labours under the burden of the prophecy’ (probably not exactly what was said but from what I remember that’s the general message). There isn’t any other reason for it

And for me this is what makes May’s story so much more tragic because she wasn’t at fault, she became a victim of the gods’ selfishness, she was probably the right person at the wrong time and even if you wanna say that she shouldn’t have tried to become the oracle, can you blame her for thinking she should? If I had been having prophetic dreams and then being told that the oracle hasn’t had a host in like 40 years I probably would’ve put 2 and 2 together and tried too.

Comic and VG Fangirl turned Mother's Message

After hearing the latest news in entertainment and how far companies obsession with ESG and DEI has gone, I feel compelled to say this. Not just because I'm a fan of superheroes, comics, anime, video games and even happen to be the author of several webcomics myself, I'm something else that goes far beyond all of that: a mother.

The legacy superheroes that are being beaten down, replaced, disrespected and at times, humiliated like Spider-Man, Luke Skywalker, Indiana Jones, Solid Snake, Chris Redfield, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Son Goku, Sailor Moon, She-Ra, He-Man, The Incredible Hulk and more... These are the heroes I grew up with. The heroes who inspired me not just in my career choice, but also in being the person I am and how they shaped my views on ethics. Namely human rights, free speech and how goodness is proactive not passive. You should always do the right thing if you can and perhaps that is why I feel compelled to speak up now.

Now, don't get me wrong. I am for being sensitive, inclusive and getting with the times, but not at the cost of artistic freedom, the integrity of the superheroes and icons who founded the lore we have inherited and the beauty of the art itself. And yes, last point does matter in art and the art of comics, video games and film are not the exception. For a lot of characters including female ones, their physical beauty is a part of their character. It is what makes them iconic, recognizable and visually inspiring. Believe or not, their beauty, athletic physiques and composure is more than just eye candy. It makes them look godlike, powerful and like they actually are heroic. And if you argue with me that I am exaggerating, answer me this; could you ever picture Superman having the same emotional impact with just his mere presence in the room while having a receding hairline, a beer gut, average height, less muscle and a plain face? No, of course not because Superman looking like an angel is a part of his character and adds to his heroic persona.

The point is that the watering down of fantasy, the beauty of fictional characters of any gender and making everything realistic is bad and concerning for the modern audience. And I know this better as do a lot of adult fans alongside me in my generation than any of these companies ever will because one simple, but end all reason: we are parents of the modern audience. We know our own children. We know what is best for them. We know from our own life experience that imagination, escapism and the importance of heroes and fictional ones are in a child's life. Companies may think they're giving the modern audience what it wants, but we the fans-turned-parents, know what our children need.

We don't want our children to have politically correct heroes who shame one group in order to uplift another, incompetent heroes who never take a situation seriously or passive heroes who hand over the bigger responsibilities to someone else. We want them to have heroic heroes who inspire them, who teach them that doing good can make a difference, that we're all in this together, that how you react to danger or a bad situation matters, and that even fighting with your words needs to be proactive in that you should never be afraid to tell the truth or say what you mean.

In short, us legacy fans are not angry because of what you're taking from us. It's what you're denying our beloved children. The same children you claim to be catering to, but you're really not. Children have no hope of ever becoming wonderful adults if they cannot enjoy being children while they are children and imagination is a part of that. A child's imagination tends to be ideal and fantastical while being free from the bounds of reality and real world politics.

With that in mind, my child doesn't need a lecture from these companies. It's my job to give him lectures and mine alone as his mother. The job of Disney, DC, Marvel, Sony and all the other companies creating the media my son is indulging is simple yet important... your job is to give him a hero that he can be immersed in and inspired by.

Make that hero bold, beautiful and truly super.

PS: Keep in mind that equality is a side effect of quality. Write well and the rest will happen naturally. Don't forget that comics, video games and superheroes have always been naturally progressive mediums.
