I'm knitting stardew valley socks and I'm 🥹 he looks so cute already!! I'm just using a duplicate stitch on top of this sock I made to make the chicken - this is my first time trying it, I'm really new to knitting so I'm excited how this is turning out!

But also it's the second sock, so I just kinda forgor

I swear spiral socks are my favourite kind. You don't need to think where to put the heel. You just Knit A Tube till you are halfway through the skein and then bind off and start the next one

I believe spiral socks deserve more love and attention

It's just 4x4 ribbing, moved 1 stitch left every 4 rows

...and here's to me starting the second sock soon, because this yarn is LOVELY (sadly I don't know what's the name of it because I grabbed it as a wound up cake at the store specialising in bobbin yarns, so all the info would've been on the bobbin label. I know that it's Italian 75% merino, 25% polyamide sock yarn, that's all. And that it's very very somft)

Got out of my mom’s car today during a massive thunder storm. Tripped, fell and, in rapid succession: 1. broke my sunglasses 2. ripped my bag’s strap 3. launched my phone into a puddle deep enough to submerge it 4. scratched the SHIT out my leg open where my healed but tender tattoo is 5. landed in a silty, muddy puddle and got soaked we were about an hour from home (and it was longer due to the driving conditions) so here’s a friendly reminder to try and keep a care kit in your car for emergencies, both minor and beyond :) cause damn life comes at you fast

You buy cheap yarn once bc it's a fucking baby sock and what's a baby gonna know about yarn quality but then you spend 8 hours picking it apart cuz the little fibers keep separating and causing little knots that halt your progress every other round
