It has been an incredibly loaded & emotional week, but I just wanted to come out here to tell you that I'm okay :) I also want to say thank you to all of you who reached out to me in some way.

I really appreciate you 💕 I'll be back soon!

#yesterday was my grandpa's funeral service. it was intimate and beautiful. me and all his grandkids closed the casket thursday evening #me and some of my cousins carried him all the way to the cremation room and were there with him at the very end as well #i'm really grateful i got the chance to be a part of his last little bit of time on earth in such a special way #everybody's at peace with the way this ended #i helped clearing out the room he passed away in today and that took what little energy i had left in me #mentally i'm okay (drained- but okay) but i've been having pretty severe nerve pains in my lower back/buttock/lower leg #so the next couple of days to a week i'll be resting and recuperating #thanks again for the overwhelming support and sweet messages. it means the world to me <3

#grandpa passed away in his sleep this morning #i got to see him with some of my family last night before he went to bed #i kissed him goodbye. he cupped my cheeks and said it would be the last time he'd see me. i think he could feel it coming #it hasn't really sunk in yet. maybe because this was the very best outcome in the situarion and i'm mostly relieved #i'm just glad i got to say goodbye in such a nice way #and he isn't in any pain after those dreadful weeks of uncertainty and then the added cancer diagnosis #he's up in the sky with grandma now. just like he wanted

knitting fails and hormones don't go together.

#bawling my eyes out once again #spent all evening knitting a german short row heel for the first time instead of a regular flap & gusset #struggling because i don't have 2.5mm dpns #i was 8 rows away from completing it when i did a purl row instead of a knit row #luckily i put in a lifeline before i started the heel so i was able to frog back but my fucking god #i am so annoyed rn. i'm crying. i want to scream. i want to throw my work against a wall. i'm sooo done.#periods are great.

giving the pattern that broke me another try 🤞🏻

today I f*cked up by making a decrease mistake, trying to ignore it, deciding to rip back a couple of rounds to fix the mistake and then failing to pick up stitches from a lace pattern.

I bawled my eyes out, because it took me 4 days to knit this sock and the mistake happened at the toe decrease rounds. sometimes being a beginner sucks.
