People say it was flirting cause that’s what the actor said. I def read it as a joke, Abbot seems like the type to have a dry ass sense of humor but I personally didn’t read it as flirting

Well that certainly explains where the “flirting” thing came from. All I saw was people talking about it like it was in the text of the show without attributing it to the actor.

Reading it as a joke is absolutely valid!! He has a dark sense of humor, and you’re right it’s very dry. To me, it didn’t feel like a joke. I didn’t think it was funny in the context of Abbotts other jokes. Mohan’s shocked “what?�� Is the only response we get to that line, and then everything else moves on. It didn’t feel like a joke, again, to me.

Normal people read it as a joke. It clearly wasn't "gambling" with a patient's life OR her medical license. None of their licenses were in jeapordy. She had PLENTY of people there to back her up in an M&M that an attending was instructing her to do the procedure. As an attending, HIS LICENSE was still on the line because he was guiding her. If she fucked up, he would lose his license, too. It was a joke to break the stress. Nothing was gambled.

if it was a joke why didn’t Mohan laugh? if it was a joke why did it not feel funny? To me, personally, it felt like a fucked up thing to say after telling her to take the win.

idk man it didn’t feel good to me and seeing people say that that was flirting doesn’t sit well with me either, but do what you do. It’s none of my business.
