Tagged by @troubled-mind thank you! (⌒ω⌒) This year I got into giffing, which I have been enjoying a lot. I drew a little, and I have started slowly putting down some thoughts about shows by the end of the year. Consequently, this is a bit all over the place lol

January

most popular: Tiwson being the Best Best Friend a boy could ever need! which is what he deserve 😌

my favorite: Golf failing at ripping Art's shirt off in Till the world ends. My second gifset ever, and I'm still pretty proud of it.

February

most popular: pffrtt xd ok it's my reaction to the "I want to eat you" incident from Tiw in MSP

my favorite: the Ameiro Paradox boys being silly and cute on the rooftop

March - it was my most productive and most popular month this year, with 3 of my yearly Top 10 posts

most popular: this Hands gifset for Bed Friend episode 04. Followed very closely by Alan/Gaipa and that Mulan quote.

my favorite: of course it has to be this gifset about Tian and Yang from To Sir, With Love.

April

most popular: this Hands gifset for the last episode of Bed Friend.

my favorite: once again, have to go with a To Sir, With Love gifset of Tian and Jiu. It was my first time using blending for my gifs!

May

most popular: this very serious gifset about the mains of Love Between Fairy and Devil

my favorite: I hesitated but it has to be Guangyan slapping Pu Yiyong repeatedly

June - small month this one, not a lot from me

my favorite: Phojai breaking Tag's heart in Love in Translation (i am so very proud of this one). Also, my Thee/Thantai's fic.

most popular: would you look at that, it's a Hands gifset! this time from Absolute Zero.

my favorite: my first ... comments post I guess? About Absolute Zero. I didn't finish it but i liked doing it, and I want to get into that a little more again next year.

November

most popular: Evolution of the Kimi ni wa todokanai opening sequences, which I loved dearly

my favorite: sorry to say it has to be exposing all of you to my thirst for Brother Anurak.

December - very slow month again, have not done much even during the holidays

Nice!#Lan flirting is offering to organize events. “Please...let me open up my planner...do you want to create a shared google calendar with me?”#“Oh...we will have to spend so many nights at a desk working out logistics. Do you want to see how good I can balance these accounts?”#Lan events probably have the best 'stayed within budget' reputation of all the clans.#What I mean to say is...Where are the Lan Wedding planner AUs? Actually scrap that: ALL the sects as rival wedding planners.#The Jins would do high end clients with huge budgets. Lans do traditional style weddings. Yunmeng Jiang promises fun and colour.#Sit with my vision for a moment. I'm going to move on to another topic but don't *not* marinate on that idea.#Pour one out for Lan Wangji. For having to sit through all this flirting and confessing while he ruins his own chances.#He will have to wait many years before living out his romantic fantasies. Until then...he must wait in the wings for his cue.

Some pieces from my art final last quarter.

I haven’t returned to Taiwan/China in a decade. My family, my cousins, have grown up without me; I don’t even know what they look like anymore. This series superimposes cartoon self portraits onto real photos taken by myself and my mother during my last visit ten years ago. The photos have been collaged with elements of childhood. The series reclaims my memories of Taiwan/China and reckons with the passing of time and the changing of space, flattening my experiences into a fictional, digital world where I never left.

The bottom piece is a timelapse of my old family house from 2009 to 2023, now an apartment block.

Pio's designs in general are so good!#I did look up a bunch of horse references and sadly while I had high ambitions I could not replicate the bug eyes of the front facing horse #I instead encourage you all to take a moment and go look up front facing horse. REAL!! he’s such a hypocrite because if someone mentioned you had a work husband, his entire world would stop and he wold devise the absolute worst plans to make sure that your co-worker, everyone at your job, and everyone in the next building over knew that he was happily committed to you

but if he is the work husband, he’s very........ dutiful in his role. there’s a loose office/lawyer au in my head where satoru is your secretary, and for all intents and purposes, your personal assistant, and he’s good at his job, but mostly because he considers his job to be pleasing you. he has coffee for you when you arrive, he moves your schedule around without you asking, he has answers to questions before you can even ask them, he has fresh flowers on your desk weekly, pokes into your meetings to pretend to hand you a file that’s really just maybe a single document in a manilla folder with candy on top of it—he’s made himself your business, your partner; he’s made himself irreplaceable, and he loves to remind everybody of that fact.

he’s also extremely loyal. sure, he could day a week’s worth of work done in about a day, but that doesn’t mean he’ll just use his talents for anybody. he’s your secretary, so he’s at your beck and call, and everyone knows it. they know he’s the best, but also that he’s off limits—not because you won’t share him, but because satoru won’t let himself be shared.

he also extends his duties beyond work, of course. when he hands you a print out of your schedule for the day and you’re confused by the three-hour block of time you have in the middle of the day, satoru just helps you shrug your coat of your shoulders and smiles, “that’s for the lunch date you have with me, of course!” hanging up your coat in your closet for you, “i’m paying, see you soon, sweets.” and because you’re great at your job, and satoru helps you be great, nobody really questions when the two of you have time for a 13-course tasting menu at 1pm on a tuesday afternoon. and if they did, all satoru would say that you two had a lovely date
