On Valentino's morals:

This ain't nothing new, but I see a lot of people talk shit about anyone liking Valentino from HH. For the longest the "I just like his design!" was probably a cover for fans to escape being called the most horrible names and getting death threats.

Most recently I saw a person commenting that it's ok to like his design "as long as you don't make any fanart or endorse his character in any way".

Listen to me, YOU ARE ALLOWED TO LIKE A BAD CHARACTER. He is a VILLAIN, and amazingly written one too. It's really hard to make good antagonists because as an author, you have a tendency to make your characters at least somewhat likable and excusable. Which is why in lots of shows we have the ''he had a very traumatic past/good reason to do it actually!" trope. People see someone being horrible and they want at least something to wrap their head around, to understand why someone would do that.

Also, Valentino is a vital character for the story. He is the one that made Angel's story the way it is. Yes, it was traumatic, but imagine if we erase Val from the picture - Angel is suddenly a lot less deep of a character.

What I'm saying is, I think every normal person knows that morals =\= morals of a fictional character you like. If you have a healthy relationship w fiction, you can endorse in the story/psychology of a character, understanding that that doesn't influence your personality in any way.

And if you don't watch Hazbin, I assure you any show you ever watched had someone you'd never wish to touch with a 10ft poll irl, and you probably liked them too.

so i know the misogynistic milo thing is generally a joke (i hope), but i was thinking about it and like honestly i think he’d be the type to remind the others of their own internalised misogyny within the pack.

i’m taking this from the perspective of when they’re like teenagers/high schoolers mind you, i think presently they’ve all grown to be very well adjusted and the patriarchy doesn’t like have them by the balls.

we also know that milo’s generally a pretty blunt, “feisty” guy, and that’s not really changed — so he probably called out misogynistic BS as he saw and heard it(and still does).

we also know that teenage boys have a tendency to spout misogyny when around each other (even if they don’t fully believe it, to fit in). and yk it’s kinda taught for them to think that way.

also factoring in that they grew up in the 90s/early 2000s which was better than most years, but people still got away with being pretty bigoted/saying fucked up shit.

i don’t think asher and david were overtly misogynistic. like they weren’t on any “all bitches are the same”, type shit (maybe cuz they’re fruity), but there might have been hints of it without them realising because the two haven’t necessarily been taught to unlearn things that the patriarchy teaches.

Firstlt, I'm so sorry for the inactivity - I've been unhappy with my current art (or rather the obligation to make art of subjects I don't really want to) to the point of being burnout. But no I'm not quitting don't worry,,

This blog was originally meant to be my art portfolio - for work purposes - but I've decided that I'd like to treat it more like a personal blog. I want to use this blog to share my passion and not hold it off for the sake of keeping it professional or smth,,,so expect more unfinished sketches/wips/merch photos in the future! Basically expect more yapping! (im so sorry)

Most importantly, although this blog has been 99% hoyoverse related art, I'll be stepping away slowly from hoyo games for personal reasons. So expect me to draw less hoyo and more diverse fandoms in the future (eg Wuwa, FGO, madoka, you name it)

Cus yk how I see Beetlejuice's and Lydia's dynamic in the movie? Let me paint you a picture.

Your parents brought you to a family gathering, where you don't know anyone, and so happen to be the youngest member of the family at the dinner table. You can't and don't want to talk to anyone, so you just sit there, listening to your mother argue with someone on politics.

Then suddenly, you feel an arm wrapping around your shoulders, your nose being viciously attacked with the smell of sweat and booze, and when you turn to look at the one who invaded your personal space, you see that one uncle.

Nobody ever invites him to the family gathering, because nobody knows if there's even a way to contact him in order to invite him to family gatherings. The last time he responded to a call or an email was in 2012, and each time someone asks him where he lives, he names a different nonexistent location.

Yet somehow he always knows the place of celebration, and the time too, because he's always late by 1 hour and 27 minutes square.

Nobody knows who's brother, son, or at least cousin he is, and even though you know he's your uncle, you have zero memory of being introduced to him, yet everyone in the family hates his guts.

And because you're the only person who happens to not hate his guts, every time he sees you and hugs you out of nowhere, you know, that your next couple hours will be spent in a total spacing out session, while your uncle slowly pulls away your sanity, talking about his another new podcast or about how Biden ruined America.

And no amount of time that passed or pictures of you that he has on his desk will ever make you feel less grossed out by him. Cus he's still the same uncle that you lowkey can't stand.

This is the closest I could get to the feelings I think they have towards one another

really curious about ekko's storyline this season because we know the people of zaun are his priority. it's theorized he'll work with jinx because of the paint on his clothes + his poster. i imagine it'll be because she becomes a symbol of zaun and the topsiders are their enemies, but like. he can't be too happy about that right? he's watched jinx kill other firelights right in front of him. he tried to take her down too but was stopped when he saw a glimpse of the girl he once knew. she tried blowing them both up. he still misses her but whatever happens, he and vi will still team up in the end (based off the bit in the trailer where she jumps onto his hoverboard glider thing and he gives her a ride. it's post pitfighter era because her hair is still dark at the roots and it's longer). i can't imagine he'd team up with vi if she was still an enforcer then god i have no idea what's going to happen NOVEMBER COME NOW
