Hii! I fell face first into your blog once I started hyperfixating on the TCM series recently and I'm loving every one of your takes on the Hewitt's so much, your dedication and accuracy is commendable! This is my first ask ever and I feel kinda nervous about it bahah, but given Thomas liking to sewing, do you think he'd take a liking to embroidering as well? Getting new clothes surely isn't a priority to the family given their financial state, knowing he's such an acts of service guy, would he find himself fixing loose stitches or giving a cuter look to Luda's, or even his s/o's clothing?

I imagine his embroidery is kinda crude and jagged, but he's getting better at it! I think he's more into getting things done as quickly as possible, so embroidery in his work is rare, but so very meaningful. Some plants, flowers for his momma, a special interest of his S/O's, stuff like that. I think if he was really into embroidery, he'd probably add stuff relating to anatomy and bones ?

Examples:

These of course would be done with much simpler designs and little to no color, maybe some simple black/brown thread he has lying around. I think he's inspired by what he sees - I don't think he'd embroider his mask, but maybe little tears in his bedsheets or something. Definitely clothing of his momma's and S/O's if he thought they'd like it. Luda would be so proud lol

Im like 99% sure when Monty dialed the "sheriff's office" he actually dialed the community center/gas station. The woman on the phone sounds almost exactly like Luda Mae (imo) but I could be wrong 🤷‍♀️

It also makes sense (to me) considering the only other place (besides the house) thats inhabited (and has power) is the community center. This was probably really obvious but whatever

Hiii I was watching behind-the-scenes of the 2003 movie (for drawing references) and thought of this:

@ / pathetichimbos made a post a while ago about Thomas not looking like himself in the 2003 movie (which I 100% agree with) - I actually have pictures to prove their point!

Here's Thomas in the final version of the 2003 movie compared to the behind-the-scenes (w/o special effects):

Obviously he still looks kinda..interesting BUT he looks less like a corpse

The eyes are much less 'alien-like' (which I'm pretty sure is just the lighting they chose for the final version), his skin isn't grey, ect. The angle + the lighting don't do him justice but it's much easier to connect this version of Thomas to the prequel. Idk, just an observation I made :)
