despite Laios low self esteem making him think that if he’d been eaten, Chilchuck and Marcille wouldn’t have helped Falin,

theres a small part of me that thinks the reason Chilchuck stayed with the party and went back in the dungeon in the first place was because he didn’t want to leave Laios alone. That Laios was moreso the reason he stayed.

Laios is on a first name basis with him for a reason.#He also worries probably more than anyone about Laios #And his biggest criticism of him is that hes “reckless”#he’s comfortable around Laios in a very specific way and so is Laios around him #and in the series he shows many times that he’ll risk his life to protect Laios #Like staying with him to confront the elves because he was worried Laios would say something stupid #Hes the first one to run up to him when Falin punches him #I mean I think he was also going back for Falin like its not like I think he doesn’t care about her or anything #He clearly does #But I don’t know if he’d have gone back if Laios hadn’t #And if Laios had been eaten I think he wouldn’t have even had to be convinced by Falin #I also think Marcille would’ve gone back for him but probably more bc Falin was going back #Like sort of a reversed thing #AGAIN not that I don’t think she cared about Laios at the beginning either #But she before the story she was mostly Falin’s friend who knew Laios through Falin #She only really got to know him when Falin got eaten and they had to do a team building exercise #Though now I sort of want to see an actually reversed scenario #Bc we also know that Chilchuck is sort of uncomfortable around Falin (said in relationship chart)#So I would love to see them be forced into a team building exercise to find a person they both love the way Laios and Marcille were

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GALACTA KNIGHT!!!! And congratulations to Meta Knight for experiencing the Cain Instinct for the first time.

Galacta Knight, as you might've been able to tell already, is one of my favorite characters, and KSSU is one of my favorite games (the original SS was my introduction to Kirby!) so I wanted to go all out. Happy day, old man. I pray for at least 20 more years.

Oh, and don't worry! He's not upset about the cake smash, he thinks it's funny. And he got back at him.

As for the in-universe explanation for there being 16 candles in his cake?

... 500+ didn't fit in safely.

OKAY.)#but honestly though i did expect Gem to hold a grudge over the 2v1 in SL. and. its good that there are consequences???#it IS a ‘betrayal’ in Gem’s eyes. they were friends. they were murder besties for the last two sessions and then Pearl chose Scar over her #and its awesome man. [through gritted teeth] this is awesome man this will be good for character development ok ok ok. ok?#its also got something to do with Pearl having the red creep in. i think #because during SL Gem was like. nearly idolising the Scarlet Pearl persona while vaguely aware that her own reputation has a similar effect #and yknow. the horrors. the fact that their image is so heavily built on what others deem them to be and they can only play into it #but by the end of SL Gem gets ‘betrayed’ by this persona that she looked up to #and also her own ‘GeminiSlay’ intimidating image is also starting to fall apart. partly of her own will #and now shes watching Pearl slowly turn red again. and this time she knows its not good for her or Pearl #so shes distancing herself from it. shes ‘trying to fix her reputation’. she sees Pearl falling into it again and just. no. i dont love you #you betrayed me last season #but on Pearl’s end of things she’s already deep into the idea that as long as you say you ‘forgive’ someone then everything thats happened #in the past doesn’t matter and they can all be friends. and nooo absolutely no grudges will be held. no emotional repression here #so. because thats happened to her in her own team she thinks the same can happen with her and Gem #and thats so. im going to blow myself up now

Being authentic and true to yourself is the only way you are 'supposed to be/act like' (insert entity). If anyone else disagrees it only tells you about them.

#going to start a small 'series' where I document stuff I learn that is otherkin specific. This is for myself as well as anyone who might #be struggling with things I used to/am working on(otherkin specific). hopefully this will reduce any mental pitfalls other otherkin may #fall into as they explore their identity and help out someone.#this 'rule' took a LONG time to fully understand and grasp. for the longest time I would consciously or subconsciously #think I was less Loki if I did or was something 'Loki would never do. until i realized I do exactly and experience exactly what Loki does #and experiences because...Im literally Loki. (talking about incarnations here). Okay so I'm not generally a sports person but I can't stop thinking about all the ways the foxes revolutionized exy. For example, the way their tiny team structure made them focus on endurance and coordination rather than brute force? Amazing. And related to that, the way that they adapted by training players to fill multiple positions? That must have had huge implications for how they understood other players needs and allowed for flexibility of they needed someone's specialty in a different position (see the final game). BUT ALSO the way Kevin and Neil specifically shook up the game was insane. Kevin being ambidextrous and using it to make his moves unpredictable. Using heavyweight racquets to put more strength behind their shots. Communicating only in French so opponents don't get any warning but they're still in sync with each other. I'll bet you anything other teams were scrambling to catch up and figure out how to play like the foxes did

#the foxes winning season would have had insane implications for the way exy is played i can feel it in my soul #other teams would've been scrambling to catch up and copy what they were doing but no one can do it like them #the ravens had their time ruling exy but i think the foxess' unpredictability and determination kicked their playing style in the mud #insane about this if you couldn't tell #aftg #neil josten #all for the game #kevin day #the foxhole court #the kings men #the raven king #NOT TO MENTION ANDREW #but during the series what he does is more raw talent than innovative play style #if you disagree and can think of something specific he did please feel free to add on though

I know the decision to have Julian's parents have him augmented was made on the fly but imo its pretty obvious from early on that Julian has Family Issues because he avoids talking about his family like the plague and I think they should've incorporated this into the Julian and Sisko dynamic right from early on because I think it would've made for some really compelling stories and moments and could've set up a REALLY interesting Julian and Jake dynamic which they kinda started to do but never fully went for

#star trek: ds9 #julian bashir #benjamin sisko #jake sisko #s1 Julian being so young and eager to prove himself and latching onto Sisko as this mentor figure to look up to #seeing Sisko with Jake and low-key seeking that fatherly figure connection which he won't even let himself think about #Sisko seeing this young brilliant doctor who's got all the makings to be something great and he's just GOTTA help him along #I think he would also catch on pretty quick that Julian's got Parental Issues #he tries to ask one day all casual like 'tell me about yourself :)' and Julian talks about nothing but Starfleet and med school #any attempts to ask about his family are met with awkward brief answers and redirections #and then theres the way Julian's eyes light up the first time Sisko invites him to watch a baseball game #like he Knows. he's a dad he Knows somethings up #but he doesnt pry #I also think it makes their dynamic more tragic towards the end of the series #where we have Sisko asking Julian to compromise his morals again and again #Julian's trust and respect for him gradually deteriorating #and then at the end of course Sisko is gone and they have no idea when he'll be back #which I think Julian would have a lot of complicated feelings about #but of course theres also Jake #I imagine they'd get closer #very brotherly dynamic #you know that scene in TNG where Wesley goes to Riker for girl advice and Riker and Guinan start flirting?#absolutely happens but with Jake asking Julian for girl advice and Julian wooing a girl at Quark's and Jake absolutely loses the plot #makes the events of ...Nor the Battle to the Strong more intense as well I think #also I like to think there'd be an episode where the B plot is Jake gets mad at Sisko and impulsively decides to move out #ends up at Julian's because he did not think this through #Julian is now very much caught in the middle of this family drama and he Fucking Hates It #also him and Jake are NOT compatible roommates but he's trying so so hard to be nice #eventually they have a talk and Julian cryptically hints at his own home life and tells Jake he's lucky he has a dad who cares so much #them being closer would work into what Alone Together sets up for them
