i like the headcanon he knows humans, knows some of their quirks, and how they were the first ppl the other hylian villagers called on to help stuck cows or downed wagons, lots of heavy lifting stuff

but he really hasnt seen the extent of real humans, bc the humans who were in Ordon, well, they lived in hylian society,

why would they need the adrenaline to lift a car when hylians have set up whole tools and systems in all their towns to help lift just a full bucket of water out of the well??

Being a famous athlete came with its ups and downs. You got to play the game you loved and hopefully help millions of other people fall in love with it as well, but that also meant that you were constantly in the spotlight. This meant that a whole lot of people know who you are, and a fair amount of them absolutely hate you. 

This was how you met the Black Widow herself, Natasha Romanoff. You had begun to receive death threats from some people, so your manager thought that it would be a good idea to hire some extra protection for you. You agreed, not knowing who he would choose, but when you were called into his office one day and standing next to your manager was your favorite Avenger, it took everything in you not to pass out right there. 

It took a while for Natasha to warm up to you, but when she did, you two became inseparable. You soon asked her out on a date, and she accepted. When more death threats came in, you found out just how protective Natasha could be over you. You came home from practice one day to find her pacing in the kitchen, on the phone yelling at someone. 

When she sees you, her pacing stops and she quickly hangs up the phone. You come up to her and wrap your arms around her waist, mumbling into her neck, “Who were you talking to?” The redhead turns around in your arms before wrapping hers around your neck. “Tony. We need to find out who’s been sending these threats.” You nod seriously before leaning down to press a quick peck to your girlfriend’s lips.

“And I know you will, babe. You’re the best of the best. Now in the meantime, what would you like for dinner?” Natasha happily sat herself on top of the counter, telling you her order. As you cooked for her, her worries about you slowly faded. All she could think about was how much she loved you and how happy she was in your relationship.

Later that night, while the two of you are cuddled up in bed, you decide to bring up an upcoming game. You glance down at the gorgeous redhead laying on top of you, brushing some hair out of her face and quietly saying, “Hey, baby? Would you maybe want to come to my next match? It’s a home game, and it might be a little chilly, but it could be fun.” 

Natasha grins at you, nodding and placing a gentle kiss on your lips. “Of course I want to come. I would love to watch you play!” You smile back at her before settling in and whispering up at the ceiling, “Goodnight, baby. I love you.” You hear her mumble it back before you close your eyes and drift off to sleep.

Your teammates were not the most subtle people you know, so when you walk into the locker room and they begin to whisper, you know something is up. You let them talk quietly for a second before whipping around, catching them off-guard. You make eye contact with your teammate Ella first. She tries to act casual, glancing away from you, but you’re locked in on her.

“What the fuck is going on?” She giggles nervously before your other teammate, Grace, teasingly exclaims, “You have a guest in the stands. She’s very enthusiastic. You can practically feel her team pride.” You give her a confused look before realizing… is she talking about… no, she can’t be. Natasha would never dress up in your team colors in front of thousands of people, let alone be decked out in it. 

The team goalie, Mia, shrugs, nodding in agreement with Grace. You let out a laugh before turning back to your locker. You would believe it when you see it with your own two eyes. You quickly got changed and began stretching with the team captain, Vivian, leading. 

As your team lines up to go out onto the field, you decide to try and spot Natasha in the crowd. The team jogs out to meet your opponents at the midfield line, and as you stand there, you look into the stands. You quickly catch sight of your girlfriend, completely covered in your team's memorabilia. You let out an astonished laugh, putting your hand up to wave at her. She enthusiastically waves back, jumping up and down and waving a flag with your team logo on it. 

You shake your head in amusement before focusing on the game. You get into position on the midfield line, and as soon as the whistle blows, you are in your professional headspace. You are the center forward on your team, and you and the second striker, Hazel, follow the ball towards the opposing team’s goal.

You quickly take control of it, passing it around to keep it away from the opponent defenders. Hazel takes the ball and draws the defenders away from you, leaving you open and able to take a clean shot at the goal. You both jump at the opportunity, with her quickly passing it to you and you swiftly kicking in the first goal of the game. 

You can practically hear Natasha screaming from the stands, making you smile as your teammates pat you on the back. You get back into position before play resumes.

As the match goes on, the score becomes tighter until it is 3-2, the opposing team. You grunt in frustration when you glance at the scoreboard, knowing that you would have to bring your best if you wanted to get back the lead you had before. 

You call Vivian over, telling her you have a new strategy to help. She tells you to proceed and you fill her in. Instead of just Hazel drawing the defenders away, two of your midfielders, Grace and Ella would assist so that it would be more thorough. Vivian agrees and tells the team the new plan, and you all get into position. 

As soon as play starts, you and your teammates spring into action. You run forward quickly, making sure to stay spread apart from Hazel, Grace, and Ella. They lead the defenders away and the ball is passed to you. You get ready to take the shot, but then suddenly you feel cleats make contact with your leg and you are on the ground.

You notice an opposing player standing up near you, and the referee walks over to you. You decide to play it up a little, holding your leg to your chest and rolling around a bit. You glance up at the referee who then blows his whistle and holds up a yellow card. Hazel jogs over to you and helps you up.

As you stand up, you limp, slightly in pain, but you decide to just push through it. Vivian jogs over and asks, “Are you good to keep playing?” and you nod and grin at her. You shake your leg out and glance up at the stands, catching sight of Natasha fuming. You would have to remember to calm her down and reassure her that you’re okay after the match. 

In the meantime, you resume your strategy from before, with the two midfielders assisting Hazel. Soon, you gain back your lead, with you making three more goals and leading your team to a 3-5 victory. 

You run around the field before you stop suddenly because of a pain shooting up your leg. You quickly forget about your injury though when the rest of your team jumps on top of you, cheering about the win. You make your way towards the stands, making fans cheer louder. 

Natasha meets you at the edge and you pull yourself up so that you can pull her into a passionate kiss. She sighs into your mouth before chasing your lips when you pull back. You laugh breathlessly before looking her over. “You look good, babe. Our colors suit you.” 

She grins at you before replying, “That was so amazing. I’m so proud of you!�� A dark look quickly passes over her face, making you stumble back slightly from the mood change. “Who was that person who kicked you? That was clearly on purpose. And they were allowed to stay in the game? Let me talk to them, then they’ll know not to mess with you.” 

You laugh at her determination to defend you before you kiss her again, but more softly. “It’s okay, baby. Really, it is. It’s just a part of the job. I’m just glad you’re here.” She smiles up at you before grabbing your hand and dragging you towards the exit. 

You look at her, confused, before asking, “Where are we going?” She just gives you a suggestive smile before supplying, “We’re going home. Don’t you want to celebrate your victory?” Now, how could you ever say no to that?

okay...i don't have a VERY particular order of events in my head, but here's what probably happened:

(hi, after yapping session t00nyah here, obviously gore and murder and stuff is described there!)

i think at first wenda felt a bit weird when she saw everything change, when she saw brud with 60% of his head gone, when she saw OWAKCX's skinned body, and only then clicked that hey, it's alright, everything's going down, so it's allowed to have some girlfun!

i'm trying to make a timeline still and i think it makes sense in my head that wenda went for sky purely out of this newly bloomed impulse to do something intensely fucked up without a weapon on her. dunno where she got those poles, but i would assume they just were around for some reason. i have a small idea of... tunner could've witnessed it shortly after and probably felt so bad about not being there in time to stop her. i think tunner was on a look out for others because something was clearly going on, but unfortunately stumbled across wenda and of course she was full of delight. seeing tunner so appaled at the sight made her laugh! she doesn't have to hide the deranged side of her brain now, who cares, she's not the only one!

of course it was tunner's duty to eliminate the threat, but the question was in order: was it all her doing? who's behind it all if not her? to which she of course looked at him annoyed and gave him the genuine 'no, i just came here and everything was like that already. not that i mind, as you can see' and somehow still managed to yoink the revolver he had pointed at her. got lucky i suppose. with my super-toxic-yuri-powered brain i can't not imagine her do some weird flirting because i don't care im brainrotted. something about a he/him butch lesbian pointing a gun at her because she's actively seen as a threat is just that attractive to her. but we all know it ultimately ends with her shooting him, having her girlfun!

that's the point after which she goes to get her knife, because she really got lucky with having something around and it's not really that fun when she doesn't have her own iconic murder weapon, right?

i think she could've gotten the idea of finding oren and pinki almost immediately, and of course she found them hiding at the house together, trying to figure out where to go now, nowhere is safe. and nowhere it is, as wenda approaches them in the most horror movie maniac way possible for her. i think hearing her voice immediately raised the question of is there any chance it's a good thing wenda found them, and no, turns out of course it's not! i think she didn't mean to do that, but ended up hitting pinki with a chair because she was annoying to her to shut her the fuck up. ended up fucking up her face and knocking her out for good, as she herself got to FINALLY use her knife and slowly cut open oren's ribcage. made sure to make it painful! after looking at what she's done for a while, of course, she did get bored and move on, but she was definitely satisfied.

(this is basically where the answer to the questions ends, but i still went on a bit of a bonus yapping session to clarify something)

and then in redemption arc au almost immediately after that something just cleans the atmosphere, everything is normal again and wenda is hit with this weird feeling of emptiness after so much stimuli and boiling bloodthirst. just a whuh. wuh. and stands still. looking around. everything is so normal, but the gore in sight is definitely the same. and then she's approached by the higher powers forbidding her from doing any more harm and helping repair what has been broken. obviously her first reaction is 'this is bullshit.' which is understandable. and yeah, this IS bullshit. but she legit is disallowed to harm anyone now it just won't work and harming herself counts too she just can't do SHIT. she very VERY unwillingly has to cure lethal wounds (and it works because of the said higher powers that made her do that and she's so pissed).

I love love love love asks like this!! I have so.many. preinfarction headcanons where do I even begin. Buckle up because I'm going IN.

I think stacy was a hilson enabler from the beginning. she was the #1 perpetrator of "my boyfriend and his boyfriend" jokes from the years 1996-1999. she understood and respected the homoerotic friendship (bc she too has had homoerotic friendships). honestly that understanding that house and wilson loved each other was the thing that allowed her to finally let go of house and move on after the infarction. she knew wilson would take care of him if she left. but not only did she respect their relationship, she absolutely enabled the weirdness of it and was the one who started bringing wilson up in bed just to fuck with house. she created the Wilson Fetish that cuddy would one day have to endure (I use endure loosely bc cuddy enjoyed it just as much). in fact, stacy even gave house permission to invite wilson to have a threesome with them when he was in between marriages to bonnie and julie, but house was too afraid to actually invite him bc he wasn't ready to open the can of emotional worms that would've come with sleeping with his best friend.

Now to answer some of your specific questions;

I don't think house hit on cuddy as much when he was with stacy, but he still flirted with her on occasion bc that's just how he is. but stacy flirted with her too bc they were friends and she knew that cuddy and house slept together in med school, so it was always the unspoken joke between them. There was a lot of "well, house likes his pretty brunettes, you know how it is." alrjalkg. But flirting with wilson was always and will always be on the table, house himself can't even stop it from happening.

I don't think stacy originally worked at ppth, but I think cuddy and stacy were friends first and cuddy invited stacy and house separately to the paintball match they met at in hopes they would hit it off. It was a no brainer once she started dating house and a job became available for stacy to take, so she started working there.

When their schedules aligned, they def all liked sitting in the cafeteria and having lunch together but it didn't happen that often on account of house and stacy sneaking off to make out whenever they got a chance, plus cuddy working through her lunch more often than not bc thats who she is, especially as the youngest Dean of Medicine, she still felt that she had a lot to prove back then. but I think that's what started cuddy and wilson's tuesday tradition of having lunch together since their friends were too busy fooling around without them.

Now talking about the stacy-house-wilson-cuddy polycule.......what a beautiful disaster that would've been 😭 they break up and get back together about 500 times and each time they breakup, someone gets fired and then rehired a couple weeks later. poor cuddy never rests bc her best doctors are legal disasters, her lawyer is in love with the biggest disaster of them all, and she's in love with all of them so there's literally no winning (until they all make it to the bedroom, and then cuddy is The Winner bc they all have some bullshit to apologize to her for.)

they swore it would Never Happen Again. that lasted about two days until wilson gets all weepy over his impending divorce again and they show him what he has to look forward to as a single man. (patheticness is an aphrodisiac to these ppl, I swear)

shifting story time (3x)

i was in and out of sleep, decided to affirm “i have my desires b/c my inner world loves me.” it’s an aff ive been repeating for like 3 days. i gts, and at this point ive already dreamt 3 times, finally the third dream ends but a new one begins, i wake up in my bed but its a different room, and im thinking to myself, the only way to shift is me, i can just decide, so i close my eyes and say “i woke up in my desired waiting room. GO” and i kinda feel like a star wars ship when it blimps and disappears. i open my eyes to this lego reality, it’s at night, dim lighting, just before the sun goes down, a man comes out, except he’s a lego zombie, starts attacking me, we got to fighting, MINK MINK, im capping his shi, but im so small cs i think i was an actual lego, bc when i first shifted, i woke up on the ground and my eye level stayed relatively the same even when i had stood up, 😭, i manage to get him on the ground, and i basically decapitate his head off by pulling it, but he gains this new power, which my opps be doing that in dreams, where they gain a new power that they literally haven’t had access to before, JUST to try and defeat da sleeze 👑, anyways i end up running off back into bed, and saying the same affirmation, and i do the star wars blimp thing after i say “GO.” in my head and wake up in a beautiful grand house, i love big houses so it’s no surprise every shift did include a super huge house, i start to walk around, i have two phones, ppl are texting me , adding me, it’s not dry at all like here 😭, my room is really pretty, it looks like a room i’ve always wanted as a kid, white decor and beddings with pink and lime green accents, flowery n shit yk, i go downstairs and it’s sooo big, like we have living rooms leading into living rooms/ the kitchen, where i find my siblings chilling, the hallway to the kitchen is so long and omg i loved this house, we had glass windows and i could see the neighbors chic dog through the backyard, it’s giving paid and put up 🏆, i start to walk back to my room, check out my bathroom, it was rlly cute, i decide to shift again, i say the same affirmation, “i just shifted to my desired waiting room. GO.” this shift was top 2, i woke up in a new room, my hair was messy asf but i started looking around anyway, my room was really pretty, this was more of a modern victorian twist, it was teaaa, anyways i start walking around and at first i thought it was a big house, cs i’m seeing rooms and beds, but as i continue walking i’m seeing so many people, i realize it’s a boarding school, and im like omg my hair is a mess, so now i’m walking around with messy hair and covering it with my arm.. people are looking at me and i just keep walking throughout the school, i say hi to hella ppl, walk upstairs and there’s a lot of familiar faces, everyone ptso, i had a conversation with some friends and we ki’d a little, i make it up the stairs finally and im nearing the entrance to my room, and these cute boys stopped so i could get in before they walk off, this one boy had stopped his friends with both his arms, literally so sweet, and he was hot so big ups, his friends stop and they let me pass, i ask why he did that and he’s like “because we love you” and i walk into my room, use the other door to explore more,

im realizing now that my inner world (aka me) was speaking to me through this dream/ shift, bc of what ive been affirming “i have my desires because my inner world loves me”, cs this whole shift everyone was so nice and friendly, i felt like a princess even tho i didn’t look the part atm, i continue to explore, and find long winding hallways of dorms, they’re all so pretty and victorian, but subtle, i loved it, each one was different, i see my favorite mentor from school, and she notices im so smiley and lowkey i had to lock in cs i didnt want anyone to know i shifted, and she’s like why are you so smiley, i play it off like im just happy to be here and she’s like “no something happened” while smiling, basically letting me know she’s onto me, i find my room and the dream ends, when i tell you this interaction was a little easter egg my mind dropped in there..

cs she said something along the lines that she knew i shifted, she knew something was different, which to me is proof that this was a shift and not a dream yk, shifting within dreams is lowkey OP but

so - back on an I need to write this out to process it and I guess im sharing it mood.

So ... been looking for a job since April, took a bit of a break in May but was supposed to be back in it by now but I'm just. exhausted. the depression has come back full force and I'm now lk desperate and financially stressed af.

So anyways, all of these months I kept just mass applying when I could get myself to with the full resume I had - no changes. no tailoring it to an application etc. and then I decided to apply again to this one place in sept - even though last year when I applied I hadn't had much luck, but this time around there was a position very similar to my last one - and I was lk fuck it I gotta do it.

in the mean time I've kinda been going to a psychiatrist since lk august to be evaluated bc I think I might also have ADHD. But anyways she thinks that I need to leave my house, see ppl and rejoin life in order to see if my problems are from lack of doing anything and so my mental health is fucked bc im lk stuck at home feeling useless or if its because of something else - lk idk something is inherently wrong with me lol. I think she'd shit on me if I said that out loud to her. she's kinda cool - lk intimidating cool but not in a bad way. she's just such a no nonsense person and she'll read you lk you're an open book you cant get much past her.

my mom had to go in to share what she'd seen happening with me (aka lk the outsiders perspective of what changes can be seen in me since Ive been mentally fucked) and she was so nervous ahahaha and then in the end she was lk wait do I want an appointment with her for myself? my mom is a whole character. if only y'all knew.

anyways back to the job thing, so she told me to apply to anything, I just needed to get a routine going again. so I applied to a bunch of things. and then I got a message about a grocery store job on indeed and tried to reply but I couldn't help but feel a bit sad bc I thought man I finally got a grown up job and now I'm back to my OG job roots, back to the grocery store life. And honestly I think a lot of my extended family has fucked me up on that bc they're so snobbish about these jobs. ANYWAYS so I didnt hear anything back after I answered them 🤷🏻‍♀️ so I thought ok . and around that time I had stopped applying.

fast forward to the past 2 weeks - my dog got sick, I got sick - we had the worst flu, I've had the worst period of the last few years, ive been out of it, my mom has been out of it, my dog has been out of it - also right - my grandmas death etc. (truly Oct is kinda dead to me now. so yay on that 😭 one less thing to look forward to which is sad when you didn't have much left) but yeah so then I see this email late Friday evening - which shit I usually check my email daily but this time I had forgotten bc id been sick - it was an email from Wednesday from that job I'd applied in sept that was a lot lk the one I'd left earlier in the year. and they wanted to interview me this week - Wednesday or Thursday. I managed to reply as soon as I saw it. and then I got a confirmation that Monday for it - it was an in person interview today.

I tried to prep for it as best as I could while physically dying a bit - bc lk I said been experiencing the period from hell. And yknow what that means? I'm so fucking emotionally wrecked atm- so anyways my dad drove me I somehow managed to be there, I was early, dressed professionally and everything - had even practiced some answers ... and then idk man - I think I fucked it up. They asked follow ups or clarifications of my answers but by the end I wasn't sure how to feel except man definitely didn't get that. they told me they'd make a decision by next week and let me know either way.

and the worse or weirdest part is I've spent the past few days since I found out about it trying to downplay it - lk its fine, you don't need this, if it's for you then it will be for you and if it isn't then it isn't. but I felt so sad walking out - lk idk I just got that feeling that they didn't like me. so now I'm all sad - even if all I've felt recently is that idgaf anymore and I'm ok with just dying - bc yup I got that passive suic*dal ideation down to a routine now. anyways - if anyone has any words of encouragement I'll take them but yeah I am sad .... and I have little to nothing left to give. it's been draining to say the least. and the worst part is I know my parents are just going to be encouraging and even my psychiatrist -she told me that I would get a job and it wouldn't matter who and if for some reason I didn't get something I should just think of it "well they weren't capable of seeing how great you are and what an asset you'd be to their team and that's fine because that just means it is not the job for you" but it still makes me sad know? I have trouble letting go of things and I'm way too hard on myself so it's just - A LOT.

You tried to brush it off, you should really stop thinking that... But it wouldn't go away and you just needed a break. Plus, you liked the rain. It was weirdly calming, even if being wet wasn't a cats favorite thing.

Your head hung low, you didn't want to start crying. Not now. you couldn't stay out here for too long, getting a cold wasn't exactly on your schedule.

You sighed, finally stoping and just stood there. There wasn't much to do, not much to calm you down from your tears. Why couldn't the bad thoughts just go away? It's your head, why can't you make them go away? It was getting too overwhelming.

You turned around. There he was in all his glory, Puss in boots.

«Emma! Will Draken ever carry you around like this?» Mikey teases her sister, as you're on his shoulders, arms around his neck and chin on his head, chuckling because of how annoying he is, sometimes.

«Mikey...» Draken scowls. «Cut it out.»

Emma pouts and fidgets with the handles of her bag. «Who needs a piggyback ride, anyway?» She mumbles, sulking cutely.

As soon as you make eye contact with Draken, you raise your chin in Emma's direction, suggesting him to do something. At first, he slightly blushes, pushing his hands even deeper in his pockets, but then he sighs and, with a new determination in his eyes, he takes two long strides towards Emma and places her on his shoulders with an expert and quick movement.

Mikey tosses his head back, to meet your eyes, with a pretty grin on his lips. «y/n, I love you! Mission accomplished!» Then he looks in front of him, taking advantage of Draken staring at him to challenge his friend. «Ken-chin, the last one home does homework for everyone!» And he starts running.

«Wait! You cheater!» Draken shouts, Emma giggling on his back.

In the end, you and Mikey are the winners. He is smaller and nimbler than Draken. «Ken-chin, Emma, now you two pay penance!»

«Mikey, come on, cut them some slack!» You say, leaving a soft peck on his cheek because he looks cute when he acts proud and cocky.

«It's fine, I'm keeping my word.» Draken crosses his arms, sullen.

«But, first, let me prepare something to eat.» Emma says, still blushing for having the piggyback ride of her dreams. She is so pretty, and they are so mutually in love, that sometimes you forget they are still not a couple.

The only one not doing homework, in the end, is Mikey. Of course! He prefers sleeping and snoring on your lap. You try to wake him up, since you're worried he's going to get scolded by the teachers tomorrow. He pretends not to hear you, though.

«I got him, don't worry.» Draken reassures you, solving both his and Mikey's maths problems, not without complaining and cursing under his breath.

«Draken, open your mouth!» Emma cheerily feeds him chocolate sweets from time to time, making him furiously blush. Yet he eagerly accepts the treats all the same.

«You love Emma huh~ right, my best friend loves~ loves...her... Right, Ken-Keeen-chin?» Mikey mumbles in his sleep, causing Draken to combust and hit his forehead with the hugest book available. «Ouch! Ken-chin!»

ayo as a poc, Mare’s poc status seems very iffy in my eyes idk 😭😭

To me it feels like Victoria rlly said “yk what I feel like avoiding some controversy” *vigorously tries to call Mare a poc without giving her any ethnic features or even mentioning it at all in the 1st book*

I had to read the RQ for school so no, I didn’t miss it, I took heavy annotations on it. Mare is honestly my least favorite character because of how WHITE she’s written from a poc standpoint.

It’s this very common thing with yt writers where they darken a characters skin tone and think that’s all it means to be a person of color. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t expect Victoria to make insightful commentary as she IS a white woman, and since it’s fantasy and our ideas of race in this world aren’t supposed to exist. But representation isn’t just “wow she also has dark skin” it’s more the features. Mare is consistently described as having Eurocentric features.

And then white people always try to talk over us like “oh well it doesn’t matter she’s just written that-“ like shush omfg. People calling Mare Latina is hella disrespectful 💀 like what the actual fuck Latin countries don’t even exist in their world. Her last name is fucking Barrow. Her middle name is Molly. That’s so European I had a seizure. Just randomly saying “yuh girlie this character is Latina” seems fucked up.

I get you're upset about this. Maybe you've read too much of this type of character and you're fed up with it. I feel you. I agree Mare's skin color being barely described in canon (it got better as the books went by, but it was too little too late🎵) when the Calore boys' skin color was mentioned every two sentences was not great. I don't think Mare was described as having Eurocentric features tho... she simply wasn't described all that much 🤷‍♀️

My personal take on white writers making characters random ethnicities in fantasy/sci-fi and that not having any relevance whatsoever on the plot is that I freaking love it. I find it refreshing, a good step toward diversity in fiction as long as they don't bring up real-life stereotypes into the page 🤡. Why does the character having X skin color have to affect their journey if the plot has nothing to do with it? It's like the issue with the S&B adaptation: in their effort to be more "woke" and shoving fictional anti-Asian racism into the show, they alienated Asian viewers. I'm a brown, indigenous Latina. I like reading stories where people who I can imagine looking like me are getting the magical stone and their skin color doesn't matter. When I want to read stories where racial/gender/sexual orientation issues are central topics, I'll simply go read authors who have an actual say in the matter bc of their lived experience.

About Mare having a European name. I say this with all the love in my heart: please stop thinking of us Latines as brown-skinned, brown-eyed people with the last name Torres or Rodriguez. That's not what our demographic looks like (I do look like that tho). There have been so many immigration movements all through history, there are black ppl with European last names, there are blond-whiter-that-mayo ppl with Torres last name. We mixed around these places. I kindly invite you to watch a video on the topic (reading statistics on Wikipedia is no fun).

And finally, you won't catch me defending a white writer lady in my house, but VA only said Mare would be of latine descent after being asked about it by fans. Her reply and explanation made sense with the RQ world-building. Now it became of relevance bc of fancasts and for me personally bc I write modern AUs where Latin America is very much still around geographically speaking 🥴.

That's my personal stance on the matter, but I respect your frustration and the points you brought up about the lack of description of Mare's physical appearance.
