Why the hell was Superman so pissed when Bruce didn't kill the Joker in Injustice?
I know he killed Lois and his unborn child, but if Bruce didn't kill the Joker after he killed Jason (His SON) he wasn't going to kill him for you dude.
I hate the Injustice series, not because of the writing, but because of the character's behaviors
Clark going from being a small jelly bean to an evil, abusive crack head dictator.
Wonder woman being a thirsty ass thot instead of an independent queen.
Damian as the ultimate spoilt brat.
And last but certainly not least DICK GRAYSON BEING DEAD.
(On the other hand the injustice games are bomb so at least something good came out of it.)

curious abt your thots on how Bruce talks about generational ghosts and being haunted tbh!!
♥️ i think about "if we're here, they're here" all the time because it's so true. the rising siddhartha the concept of time etc.
as a kid i was not satisfied knowing that my memories were the only connections i had to people, places and things i lost. it wasn't concrete and trustworthy enough for me so i believed that what's gone was gone. but if that was true u wouldnt spend your teenage years and adulthood feeling haunted.
bruce knows. 'my hometown' has the honesty of a child. truly how he describes things in vivid detail. u don't remember your childhood in chronological memories you remember it by your senses. time was how a dime felt in your hand or feeling the steering wheel of your dad's car. 'my fathers house' 'mansion on the hill' 'wages of sin' all have that atmospheric, hazy almost dreamlike feeling childhood memories have... and how they can haunt u
in songs like that i feel like bruce is saying you see glimpses of generational ghosts in childhood but it just surfaces as an irrational, but seemingly inevitable fear that you'll be your parents one day. or just boundless resentment. as i get older i don't have that fear anymore because i hope id have the courage to confront these things as they happen.
"We are ghosts or we are ancestors in our children's lives. We either lay our mistakes, our burdens upon them, and we haunt them, or we assist them in laying those old burdens down, and we free them from the chain of our own flawed behavior. And as ancestors, we walk alongside of them, and we assist them in finding their own way, and some transcendence."

Hi, I'm not sure how much fanfics you read, seems like you read enough... Do you perhaps know why Tim and Jason get the most intense stories where they go on adventures or are abused by the society so they live in whump central and just generally the most interesting stories, whereas Dick gets the family/ Damian centric stories? His major whump plot is only that Tarantula thing. His role seems to be either the himbo or the happy thot big bro who means well but doesn't get the kid bros' trauma...
LOL aka the eternal source of my frustration in fandom.
*Shrugs* My view is its more than likely a result of how much both canon and fandom have conditioned readers and fans to view Dick as only existing as a supporting character in everyone else’s stories, rather than someone with stories of his own, let alone ones that the others act as his supporting cast. The exceptions, as you noted, are the occasional Court of Owls fic or Tarantula based whump-fest.
But its the whole big brother rides to the rescue thing, dialed up to eleven, and combine that with Dick’s characterization as an empathetic caregiver type personality, and it creates a perfect storm for people to just slot him in the role of designated comfort-giver in any given plot...OR to cite fanon lore and use that to cast him as the antagonistic foil to Jason or Tim
End result is....DC isolates Dick for his own stories, but then only has him interacting with his family when he’s swooping in to either help, support, or make everything all better...a la Robin War, Batman & Robin Eternal, etc...but the second the crisis (always someone else’s) is over, DC sends him back out on his own, because they have this perception that the only way to differentiate him from Batman is to have him completely self-sufficient, as otherwise Bruce would overshadow him when swooping in to save him.
Except, that’s a flawed premise, because you don’t need to send in Bruce to SAVE Dick, even in plots like the Blockbuster arc...its enough to have him show up to comfort and support Dick...but the problem is....DC is unwilling to ever let Bruce take the back seat or support role in even his children’s own stories. Thus he’s largely absent from Dick’s, even when he really SHOULD be there, he’s made into Jason’s antagonistic foil more often than not to keep him from playing the supporting role there, and DC’s take for the last several years has been just to cloud what the hell Bruce’s connection to Tim is even supposed to be. And so on and so on. The closest I’ve seen DC come to letting Bruce play a supporting role is Snyder’s use of him in the limited Batman & The Signal run....but then Duke and Cass both ended up shipped off to the Outsiders book where Jefferson and Katana occupy the role of supportive caregivers.
All of which sucks.
But that’s DC’s problem. The problem with fanfics, IMO, is they so rarely apply the same transformative energy to Dick and his stories as they do to Jason or Tim’s because....Dick’s USEFUL in the caregiver or antagonist roles. He serves a purpose in being everyone else’s supporting cast, and they’ve got canon as an example for how that works and why, not to mention to point to as an explanation for why they so frequently put Dick and Dick alone in that designated spot.
But Dick being the heart of his own stories and adventures not only ‘takes him away’ from that caregiver slot for Jason, Tim and Damian, which much of fandom has come to see as being so synonymous with him, its like...if he’s NOT there and ready to provide support at any given moment, he’s fundamentally just failing as a brother and a character.....
But also at the same time, with Dick as the protagonist of fanfics rather than the designated supporting caregiver....someone else has to be cast in that role, for HIM. And by and large, most people just...don’t seem to want to do that.
Typically, when it does happen its for things like Tarantula based fics, where its relatively easy to slot Jason into that role, because of the facts that Jason IS actually a very empathetic character himself, and very passionate about being an advocate for victims, as well as someone with experiences himself....but ironically, even with those fics, Dick’s trauma tends to become just as much about Jason, because of the other appeal for casting Jason in this role....Jason VERY easily fulfills a wish fulfillment role for readers projecting onto Dick and his situation and desiring to see Tarantula and/or Mirage punished in the ways Jason’s best known for.
And the other thing about keeping Dick’s trauma limited to specific instances just like Tarantula and Mirage or the Court of Owls, is there’s no need to reimagine anyone else’s role in the family, in order to take up the caregiver role more fully, at least when Dick is the one in need of comfort. Like, there’s no need to drastically redesign the status quo of the Batfamily, shake it up, or analyze or rebuild or restructure the family dynamics to account for Dick not having to be solely responsible for maintaining that position....
Because when Dick’s trauma is limited to those select story plots, the story already comes with a ticking clock for it. Its framed as a finite thing. There’s a definitive beginning or ending to someone else having to shift over into the caregiver slot in order to support Dick...because if the trauma is framed as a specific isolated or finite thing by the narrative, then Jason or Tim or Bruce’s time in the caregiver role is set up from the get go to only be a temporary thing, like just until the story’s over and Dick’s ‘back on his feet’ and able to take over his old narrative duties, as it were.
All of which...doesn’t work for me for a number of reasons, but like....I don’t think its like, really a mystery why things tend to play out this way with caregiver archetypes....because its pretty basically a reflection of how its very easy for those personality types to be taken for granted and taken advantage of in real life, and that’s like....a huge and constant part of my irritation with this phenomenon. Because ultimately, like all things fiction AND fandom related...its really just an extension and reflection of real life tendencies and behaviors...rather than really ‘just’ being about a fictional character and being frustrated there’s not enough varieties of fic to read about him, lol.

The Prescient Dichotomies of Penelope Scott’s Born2Run
“Born2Run” by Penelope Scott is an electronic folk song in the footsteps of Bruce Springsteen’s “Born to Run”—a rock song that embodied the escapism of a younger generation, in fast cars and confining towns, dreaming for more. Scott’s version of this youth anthem, however, with its dreams of assaulting the capitol, is mired in its own prescience. Scott, indeed, wrote and released this song about a storm on the Capitol just a few months before the actual Jan 6 Storming of the Capitol, which makes interpreting it before and after the assault two very different experiences. Despite this contrast, the two interpretations share a remarkable scrutiny of current American politics through the lens of the generational divide.
Before the Jan 6 Attack on the Capitol, “Born2Run” is about a last-resort reclamation of Congress by the progressive youth through a “storm of the Capitol,” taking it back from the more conservative, older generations. Here, Springsteen’s influence is much clearer, with the storming of the Capitol representing an escape from the cage of a confining, apathetic America into a freer, more empathetic one. Scott characterizes both sides of this wide, societal conflict by framing each side as a part of conversations between disapproving parent figures and the song’s young narrator. By using words like ‘thots’—a derogatory slang term for promiscuous girls—and ‘soft boys’—a slang term for more feminine boys—to make up the narrator’s vocabulary, Scott marks the narrator as a part of the younger generation, Gen Z. Thus, when the chorus first asks if she was really gonna “save the world… with [her] tits half out on Instagram,” and she replies that she was “gonna wear this shit to Congress,” Scott grounds this storming of Congress with a familiar exchange between a conservative parent and their child. Ultimately, by characterizing the parent as more interested in sexually shaming the narrator over trying to save the world with her, Scott highlights how the conservative values of older generations are apathetic to creating meaningful change and restrict freedom. This exchange also equates reclaiming the Capitol as a part of saving the world, and while she first describes it as “thots and animals [storming] the Capitol,” which sounds derogatory and violent, it’s because she’s repeating the rhetoric of right wing politicians who view their opposition as lesser beings, calling attention to their dehumanizing, shaming, and fear mongering language. She contrasts their perspective of the youth against her narrator’s in the bridge of the song, where she uses the words “soft boys and their succulents” as a positive flip on “thots and animals,” rehumanizing them by framing them as trying to make things better. Because, while this is a protest song that calls for a reclaiming of the Capitol, Scott’s dream is ultimately of a better world for both sides, where the youth can “say [they’re] sorry,” “call [their] dads,” and peacefully reconcile with the older generations.
Her call for a reconciliatory reclamation of Congress is in direct contrast to the actual storming of the Capitol by the alt-right to keep Trump in power. Ironically, due to the violence of the attack, Scott’s tongue-in-cheek repetition of fear mongering rhetoric against young progressives becomes an apt description of the behavior of the conservative, older generations that stormed the Capitol. Thus, after the Jan 6 Attack on the Capitol, “Born2Run” transforms into a condemnation of the older generations for their betrayal of democracy and the younger generations. This is best embodied by the line: “And how could you do this when I learned my rights from you?” This highlights the hypocrisy of these older generations, as they had betrayed the progressive and democratic values they taught to the younger generations by trying to violently prevent a democratically elected candidate from entering office. This is then emphasized when Scott describes their “Nixon smile” making her narrator feel sick, referencing another president condemned for using the rhetoric moral superiority while actively undermining American democracy for his own gain, which historically rhymes with the president who orchestrated this attempted coup.

"Reparations For Countless Victims Harmed By Systemic & Generational Child Abuse Evolving From Racism"
Tumblr media
Hello. Will honestly addressing the following issues help improve relations between American, as well as foreign born citizens legally residing and working in our ever-evolving Nation?
Regarding REPARATIONS for American citizens of African descent whose ancestors were harmed by our ever-evolving Nation's once legal Culture of Slavery.
Respectfully, do you believe the United States government, as well as elected government officials should be held accountable for creating, funding and then WILLFULLY IGNORING America's THUGLIFE Child Care Public Health CRISIS?
I'm referring to America's potentially life scarring SYSTEMIC & GENERATIONAL Culture of African American Child Abuse, Emotional Neglect and Maltreatment evolving from America's multi-generational, ignorant, once legal Culture of Racism.
Do you believe individual American citizens who helped create an unhealthy cycle of Generational Child Neglect, Abuse and Maltreatment, owe Reparations to COUNTLESS crime victims whose emotional and/or physical well-being was seriously impaired (or worse) by 'family, people and community behaviors' vividly described in the popular music composed by Childhood Trauma (ACEs) victims like Shawn Carter, Curtis Jackson III, Nasir Jones, Kendrick Lamar, as well as the late Gun Violence Homicide victims Tupac Shakur and Christopher Wallace?
Do you believe victims of SYSTEMIC & GENERATIONAL Child Abuse should SUE the American government, demanding Reparations for creating flawed social assistance policies that enticed and ENCOURAGED a significant population of American teenage and adult moms of African descent to intentionally introduce our Nation's most precious assets to a traumatic, potentially life scarring childhood and teen upbringing fraught with Struggles, PAIN, Hardships, COMMUNITY FEAR, Frustrations, Uncertainty, Depression, Sorrow, Torment, Demeaning Government Handouts, Resentment, Community Hate, Violence and Sadness?
I am referring to a Culture of Child Abuse, Emotional Neglect, Abandonment and Maltreatment responsible for popular American urban story-TRUTH-tellers and 'Childhood Trauma' (#ACEs) victims the late Tupac Shakur (born 1971) and Mr. Barack "My Brother's Keeper" Obama White House guest and friend Kendrick Lamar (born 1987) vividly describing in their American art and interviews the "T.H.U.G.L.I.F.E." and "Good Kid, m.A.A.d. City" Child Abuse Cultures prevalent in far too many American communities.
I am referring to a Culture of Systemic and Generational CHILD ABUSE that THROUGH NO FAULT OF THEIR OWN, deprived Tupac and Kendrick, their childhood friends, as well as many of their elementary and JHS classmates from experiencing a SAFE, fairly or wonderfully happy American kid childhood.
Sadly, the traumatic, potentially life-scarring Criminal Child Abuse and Emotional Abandonment each of these men speaks about experiencing during a critical period of human/childhood development, resulted with them maturing into emotionally ill adults revealing in public they’ve been experiencing acute depression as well as Suic*dal Thoughts for most of their lives.
The same Culture of African American Child Abuse, Neglect and Maltreatment that for near 40 years has been inspiring significant numbers of popular urban story-TRUTH-tellers to compose and promote American music informing our ENTIRE WORLD that American girls, women and MOTHERS of African descent should be viewed as less than human creatures, *hores, 'hoes' or "THOTS" unworthy of being treated with basic human respect.
Unfortunately, it's plainly evident Kendrick, Tupac as well as untold numbers of American children are being raised, nurtured and socialized by moms experiencing some type of illness preventing and impeding them from embracing and following their innate, natural maternal instinct to protect their child or children from harm.
Perhaps I'm wrong but *something* is preventing significant numbers of American moms of African descent from recognizing that placing ABOVE ALL ELSE the emotional well being of our Nation's most precious and cherished assets, will most likely result with a fairly or wonderfully happy child maturing into a reasonably responsible teen and adult citizen caring about their own well being (*May 18, 2015 - Rise in Suic!de by Black Children Surprises Researchers - The New York Times*), as well as embracing compassion, empathy and respect for their peaceful and less fortunate neighbors.
While I believe 21st century American society should NOT be held accountable for atrocities committed during the evolution of our imperfect, often ignorant, as well as self-destructive human species.
I believe in today's world there are NO EXCUSES for Willfully Ignoring atrocities committed against children who far too often mature into emotionally troubled teen and adult citizen lacking compassion, empathy and respect for their peaceful, as well as less fortunate neighbors.
Back in the day, Tupac shared his definition for THUGLIFE, as well as his belief that it impacts EVERYONE of all ages and backgrounds >>>
*"The HATE U Give Little Infants Fvvks Everyone"* ~Tupac Shakur, Childhood Trauma (ACEs) Victim
Apparently the HATE young Tupac (born 1971) experienced or witnessed, inspired him to not only create his often misinterpreted THUGLIFE Child Neglect, Abuse, Abandonment and Maltreatment AWARENESS PREVENTION PSA...
...Tupac chose to tattoo THUGLIFE in bold letters across his ONCE neglected, hungry "hurting" belly.
Indicating to me he was pretty serious about PREVENTING HATE.
The GOOD NEWS:
According to Medical Science, seems Tupac was 100% correct!
Speaking with 'Early Brain Child Development' Scientist, Dr. Bruce D. Perry, MD, PhD, Childhood Trauma (ACEs) victim Oprah Winfrey learns why perfectly healthy newborns of all backgrounds, who experience Traumatic Events during a critical period of early brain development, are at HIGHER RISK for experiencing learning issues, as well as suffering Mental Health issues into and throughout Adulthood:

"We need more people who care; you know what I'm saying? We need more women, mothers, fathers, we need more of that..." ~Tupac Shakur
Do you believe Reparations in the form of free mental health care should be offered to Adult citizens, WHO THROUGH NO FAULT OF THEIR OWN, were deprived from enjoying a SAFE, fairly or wonderfully happy childhood upbringing that MDs and Child Brain Development Scientists declare all Americans have an ABSOLUTE NEED to experience during a critical period of childhood development.
In closing this writing, I should mention beginning in the early 1980s I spent the first 12 years of my police career as a uniformed cop, robbery and homicide detective serving the traumatized Brooklyn, NY community where young Childhood Trauma (ACEs) victims Christopher Wallace, Lil' Kim Jones and Shawn Carter were raised, nurtured and socialized.
Sadly, the same community where Shawn and Christopher revealed they armed themselves with illegally possessed firearms while peddling life harming substances to their emotionally troubled, self-harming neighbors regardless of their neighbor's AGE emotional, physical or MATERNAL condition.
I look forward to reading thoughtful, intelligent replies to this writing, that hopefully will include SOLUTIONS for preventing America's unhealthy Culture of Child Neglect, Abuse And Maltreatment, also known as a Culture Of Poverty.

"Mother Issues" [Barack Obama] by Your World
youtube
Hello. Keeping it 100% REAL, Factual and Respectful.
After being emotionally neglected and abandoned by his SELFISH, immature, apathetic, apparent emotionally troubled mother whose birth name was Stanley, one might think Childhood Trauma (ACEs) victim Barack Obama would be able to empathize with many of the recording artists he and Mrs. Michelle "Girl Power" Obama wife invited to their Nation's home.
Unfortunately, it appears President Obama chose to support, and continues to support the NO SNITCHING rule or Community Code of Silence policy embraced by his wife and America's large, divisive, female dominated, Intra Racial Discrimination and Hate practicing ProBlack community.
A community harming NO SNITCHING rule declaring, "You don't talk about my poor behavior, and I won't talk about your poor behavior."
Sadly, America's ProBlack community NO SNITCHING rule includes willfully ignoring dysfunctional maternal behaviors responsible for Childhood Trauma (ACEs) victims Kendrick Lamar, Nasir Jones, Shawn Carter, as well as several other Obama White House guests, composing popular music informing our ENTIRE WORLD that American girls and women of African descent should be viewed as inhuman creatures and hoes or thots unworthy of being treated with basic human respect.
Back in the day Mr. Stevie Wonder, as well as virtually all his musically gifted peers were making music adoring, adulating, praising, honoring, wooing, loving and respecting women. I'm talking about original, classic, family friendly American music art that in my opinion all Americans can and should be proud of.
Yet, in less than one generation all that love evaporated, apparently turning into hate and disdain for women. Why?
What really irks me, instead of choosing to promote a *POSITIVE HEALTHY IMAGE* for American citizens of African descent, President Barack "My Brother's Keeper" Obama decided to promote family, people and Community harming anti-social behaviors vividly described in the popular music composed by emotionally troubled citizens who *THRU NO FAULT OF THEIR OWN,* were deprived of enjoying a SAFE, fairly or wonderfully happy childhood upbringing that MEDICAL SCIENCE declares all children have an *ABSOLUTE NEED* to experience during a critical period of childhood development.

Hello. Regarding accusations of HATE... Keeping it 100% REAL, Factual and Respectful.
When a fellow citizen suggests I am a HATER for mostly embracing conservative values, I reply by asking the following questions:
"For decades, members or supporters of which American political party choose to actively bully, harass, *INTIMIDATE,* threaten and demean as C°°ns, Sell-Outs or Traitors, our independent minded American friends, neighbors and co-workers of African descent choosing to peacefully pursue *THEIR OWN* unique vision for Life, Liberty (Love) and Happiness?
My second question:
Are you aware America's large, apparent emotionally troubled, Female dominated, Child Neglecting, *NO SNITCHING,* Segregation-minded, *Intra-Racial Discrimination & HATE* practicing "ProBlack" community fervently supports the values and policies espoused by America's apparent HATE and Violence embracing Democratic Party?
*ProBlack/BlackLivesMatter Modus Operandi:*
https://youtu.be/rBbpqGmOH4w/
My next question:
Are reasonably well adjusted citizens cool w Pres. *My Brother's Keeper* & Mrs. *GIRL POWER* Obama IGNORING potential life scarring Generational Child Abuse & Neglect responsible for inspiring their apparent emotionally troubled friends and WH guests to compose popular American music art characterizing American women of African descent as inhuman b!t©hes and hoes or THOTS undeserving of being treated with basic human respect?
My last question:
Do you believe ProBlack community leaders Pres. & Mrs. Obama were promoting a "POSITIVE HEALTHY IMAGE" of our peace loving, responsible American friends, neighbors and co-workers of African descent when inviting to our Nation's home one dozen apparent emotionally troubled Urban Truth-Tellers composing music vividly describing family, people and Community harming anti-social behaviors they witnessed or personally engaged in?
Sadly, none of my fellow citizens accusing me of being a HATER, is prepared to offer a cogent reply to any of my questions.
