hi!! sorry to bother you but your league of lazarus AU is SO COOL and i had a few questions if you feel like answering :)

does everyone’s stage costumes look sort of the same as they do in canon? i saw where you mentioned khoa kept his eye mask to look ‘mysterious’ and bruce chose the stage name batman, so im wondering how the outfits look in this au!! also would ra’s and shiva wear a different style of clothes then they normally do to emulate the genre of the band better?

and secondly, how do bruce and khoa develop feelings for each other in this AU? is it after the first few times they meet? why were they so drawn to each other in the first place? your ghostbat in this AU is giving me so many Thoughts!

ALSO!! this is a bit unrelated but the fact that cass was born in this AU out of genuine love-and is in turn finally allowed to BE loved as a child-means so sooo much to me like i saw your fanart and almost teared up <3 it’s so beautiful seeing how she’s allowed to make her own music in this universe at an age where she wasn’t allowed to be anything else than a weapon, baby cass is definitely one of the many greatest parts of your AU 💗💗

Everyone’s stage costumes are somewhat similar to outfits they might wear in canon, if not a little more ‘homemade’ than something tailored and high tech. Mostly bc i think Ra’s would embrace the whole ‘weird kinda emo rock band’ esthetic. He wants to stand out and he knows they have to put on a good visual show and look cool because it makes people more inclined to wanna watch them on stage. He also thinks stage names are the coolest thing ever and everyone needs one.

Although I could see Ra’s wearing a lot more black than green, but never any less flamboyant than his canon outfits.

Khoa convinces Ra’s to invite Bruce on the bus to hangout after the show after noticing him at the barricade and recognizing he’s the guy that runs the crazy fan account. (He wants to smash). Bruce and Talia are already kind of friendly with each other and talk at shows frequently.

Eventually Khoa starts inviting Bruce directly and asking Bruce to hangout after the shows or on his days off on tour (Bruce is crazy and is traveling to every city to follow the tour in person and update his blogs), and they form a friendship of their own. When Bruce is asked to fill in for Shiva, they spend even more time together and a romantic relationship between the two starts to form after they attempt making their own music together.

They aren’t going to split from the band or anything, it’s just a fun little project, but Khoa likes to think that he’s a bit of an outsider in the League of Lazarus at times…so this little thing he has that’s just between him and Bruce is very special to him. (And he realizes Bruce is very special to him, too.)

Re: Cass:

Yes! She is very loved, by her mother and her mother’s bandmates. Someone in the tags of one of my posts mentioned Bruce and baby Cass and it got me thinking about Cass…growing up with musicians as a makeshift family (With the exception of Talia, everyone in the band/crew are kind of just misfits, estranged from their own families so they have each other). It also got me thinking about Shiva a bit…

It’s an AU so the characters aren’t exactly like their canon counterparts, or may even be OOC, but I never see Shiva mentioned in any way aside from being Cass’ mean/evil mother. I feel like it would be fun to explore her as anything else. So her, Ra’s, and David used to live the hardcore life of rockstars and sometimes they did awful things and made poor choices or acted very stupidly, and no matter how many times their actions came back to bite them in the ass, she could never stop loving music.

I also imagine she was one of those kids with strict parents who forced her to play piano or violin every day to develop some kind of ‘elegant skill’, and while it felt like torture, she could not deny that she loved playing music.

And now that she has a daughter of her own, she wants Cass to experience just how amazing it can be to make music. She wants to share that with her daughter and have that special connection, but she will let Cass choose what instruments she takes interest in and what kind of music she wants to play.

It looks like Cass might be a percussionist, but Shiva isn’t sure if Cass is really interested in drums or she just likes to hit people with the drum sticks…everyone watch your ankles…
