janet: should we be concerned that our teenage son is hanging out with our strange middle aged neighbor with two sons - one dead one estranged - that hold similar appearance to ours? and who suspiciously has him over at his home sporadically throughout the week?
jack: nah, but hey look let’s be amateur archaeologists despite having a medical company to run and a young son, that’s definitely not committing illegal vigilantism, to raise!
janet: you’re right, how silly of me!

maybe it's the like npd/aspd but my brain automatically categorizes people into like little classes. like I meet a person and as I get to know them they get sorted. like there's a class for younger female sibling type friend, a class for older male person who I like but barely speak to, a class for doctors and medical professionals, a class for people my age who are like me, a class for people my age who are nothing like me, etc. and my brain has a predetermined set of mannerisms and vocabulary for interacting with each one

Honestly, I don't think people give qCellbit enough credit. As much as he can be blinded by his own self depreciation, he knows his husband.
And there is something deeply wrong with "Roier."
Props to cc!Roier for his acting, because as someone who's been watching the both of them for almost a year now, the way he plays Doied with qCellbit makes my stomach churn a little bit.
It's an almost perfect impression of qRoier, but it's wrong in the ways that matter. He's a little too careless. A little too surface level in his portrayal.
He feels like if someone watched Roier's pov and took his attitude at face value without bothering to consider any of the nuances underneath. Which is, I guess, what Doied actually did.
He hits Cellbit with a sword when he's under-geared just "for fun". He stands back in fights when Cellbit's calling out for help. He nonchalantly brings up Bobby in order to convince the eggs and Cellbit to leave. He tells Pepito that he's Pepito's only parent and that Pepito is only his son. The small details all add up together and the result is something immensely off.
It's VERY well acted, and it's the kind of difference that only someone who spent a long time with a character could pick up on, which is exactly why I think qCellbit seems to have caught on so quick.

I love the way that specifically DeForrest Kelley and Levar Burton handle things as McCoy and La Forge. Like, their hand movements are so satisfying doing their medical and engineering stuff.

Over the years the Fallout fandom definitely has slowly crept further into a “moral high ground over suspension of disbelief” space. I see a lot of people discussing their opinions of Fallout through the lens of their own personal morals that they’d apply to their own life, which is… Strange to me. I feel like dystopian media especially is not the sort of thing you should be judging by your own real life standards. Most things in Fallout are extreme. Most of the factions do extreme things. A lot of the things people do in Fallout would be considered inhumane, cruel or uncanny by modern standards. Because it’s a post-apocalyptic dystopia.
This isn’t me saying “everyone in Fallout is evil, stop expecting otherwise,” because I don’t believe that to be the case. Even good-willed people in Fallout do shit that would be considered extreme by modern standards. I just see a lot of people shying away from discussing the “grittier” aspects of the franchise because it might for whatever reason imply you condone those things in real life.

I’ve been on a crazy journey of self discovery this year and I’m about to say the most Capricorn thing I can say- I’ve learned that if folks aren’t on your level you don’t have to make yourself smaller to match them you can just keep it stepping and the Divine will match you up with the right folks at the right time

Give me a post canon Neku that's ever so slightly Spooky.
When he moves through the crowds on the street, there is a little bubble of space around him. Unconsciously, people step aside to give him room to pass. You can track him even in a throng of people, just by the small parting of the masses, the one man gap of space that naturally forms around him, as the citizens of Shibuya feel something mighty moving among their midst.
His pockets constantly jingle with pins. Every promotional button, every limited-time swag, he collects almost without thinking, fidgeting with them as he talks. It seems like he carries his entire collection on him at all times, more than it seems can even physically fit in his pockets.
He sees people on the streets that no one else can see. He'll give them a little nod, a look of sympathy, and, occasionally, toss a pin from his seemingly never-ending collection to them. For just a second, there's someone visible, like the sheer act of being acknowledged by the Legendary Player raises them a frequency or two, bringing them just a little closer to this plane. Then you blink and they're gone. Faded back into the hustle and bustle of the city like they were never there at all.
He's somehow a regular at every shop, every restaurant. Locals recognize him, greet him like an old friend. This isn't exactly weird, per se, but what is weird is he can't be more than twenty. How does he even have the time to become a fixture at every hotspot in town? When he walks into a cafe, the staff instantly knows what he's going to order. But if you ask, the cashier will look puzzled, and tell you, in an almost confused admission, that they don't think he's ever been here before today.
He'll answer questions without you even having to ask them. He'll respond to unvoiced thoughts, back of the mind though jumbles, know exactly what you're trying to say even if you can't fit it into words. Sometimes, he'll tilt his head, like he's listening to some distant music, and in that moment you're not entirely sure he isn't reading your mind.

i don't understand how you can listen to ryan talking about being a part of buck's bi arc so thoughtfully, forget about the fact that he's respected the interpretation of buddie and has been saying he'd be open to it literally from the start, and then decide that he's just like. homophobic for no reason and is single-handedly stopping buddie from happening through the force of his sheer hatred and horror over possibly being gay on tv. like i think you are just being racist

Me (sobbing): They're HOLDING HANDS!!
Wide shot on an emaciated wet paper bag of a man. His two hands are awkwardly clasped together. He is shaking and clearly in need of medical attention

Hey, so, a while back I made a revelation, and I’m finally posting about it on Tumblr because I continue to have A Few Goddamn Questions.
Alright. So I want everyone here to take a good hard look at Joronia/Spider Sectonia. Something you might notice about her design is that she’s pretty clearly wearing clothes. And like… of course she is— why wouldn’t she? She’s more or less a mirror of Taranza’s design, and he’s wearing clothes, so she is too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But… Sectonia. The Sectonia WE know. The final boss you defeat at the end of the video game… while she has design elements that evoke the image of clothing, seemingly only the collar, the crown, the gloves and maybe the sleeves are actual clothing. Everything else is just her body.
Which wouldn’t be all that noteworthy if she were a standalone design. Plenty of characters in Kirby, including Kirby himself, don’t wear clothes! I’m certainly not going to point at Marx and accuse his practically running around butt-naked of being weird, but in the context of the fact that Sectonia used to wear clothes?
It kind of makes it feel like she stripped for no discernible reason following her descent into villainy, and that’s really, REALLY funny.

one of my favorite things with unreliable narrator kon is him just describing tim as soooo cute and cuddly. there's a weird shadow in the corner of the ceiling and kon is just blowing kisses up at it. there's some weird guy perched on the back of a chair with bony elbows and a deeply unnerving stare and kon is like "that's my cuddly and squishable timmy-bear. you know, like a teddy bear, but it's tim!!!" he's in cargo shorts and a ripped sleeve t shirt over another shirt on a skateboard and kon is just like "i mean, who wouldn't wanna fuck him???? he's so universally attractive!!" it's funny every time
