Ok so I'm still in the process of making round 1 (got all the back end stuff done, just need to make the actual polls which can take a couple hours) but I've had yet ANOTHER idea for a kind of bl gimmick blog thing that I wanted to share
So have y'all heard of 6 Degrees of Separation? basically it's a whole concept of every person in the world being connected through 6 degrees of separation max (so a knows b who knows c who knows d etc). But then there was also a spin off that I remember hearing about a while back called 6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon, where it was the claim that Kevin Bacon had worked with everyone in Hollywood within max 6 movies (so Kevin was in movie a which also featured actor z who was also in movie b which featured director y who was also in movie c etc). There was even a website
The idea is then to create a version of this for Thai dramas, cause like there is a ton of cast overlap in the ql world at least, and I feel like you can connect a lot of Thai dramas together within 6 degrees.
My original thought was like connecting it by dramas. So for example going from like Kinnporsche to Fish Upon the Sky and trying to find the most direct line of connection between the two shows. The other idea is to just connect it between actors themselves. So like Tor Thanapob to Jeff Satur.
What would this information accomplish? not much but it's fun for me to look up and cool to see how connected everything is
Anyways I already play this game a lot with myself when I need to search up stuff on mdl. Sometimes when I'm already on the page of a Thai drama, I hop around to try to get to the next one by doing this.
The idea then would be a blog where I would show the connections. I could randomize some but people could also request for me to find the connections between two dramas or actors.
The reason why I'd keep it to just Thai dramas is that other country's qls don't tend to draw from the same pool of actors as much, so it would require navigating through a lot of stuff blindly on my end. It could be done, but would require someone more familiar with that country's dramas/movies at large and not just their ql stuff (which is what I mainly know).
anyways does anyone else find this conceptually interesting or am I just alone in a sea of my particular brand of autism lol

28 asks, thank you!
@dogtor-of-the-hole
Oh I absolutely hate it through and through. You cannot convince me that the movie is being made by people who love/appreciate/understand Minecraft in any capacity. Jack Black being cast as Steve is the worst part by far. I will absolutely not not be watching it.
(Link in ask)
That music was really nice actually.. I clicked on their most recent video and listened to it while trying to take down art theft and making this post. It was spooky yet very calming.
I've always wanted to make short pixelated game that just tells a cool story with some kind of haunting twist. But I'm really bad with tech so never dared to try and code something like that.
I originally shelved my FNAF AU because my health was/is still in shambles and I couldn't handle trying to keep up with such q big project. But now I'm not wanting to go back to it due to the constant art theft I've getting recently.
Thank you for the concern.. I'm doing my best to have thick skin about it and just focus on reporting it all.
They still exist for sure. But my persistent illness along with the mountains of art theft is keeping all my FNAF stuff on the shelf.
@aishutoon
Happy Thanksgiving! :DD
I like the first one a lot and can watch it any day. Second one is about the same. But any movie after that I either don't like or it makes me too sad to watch.
Also, I cant remember making any artwork about it, no..
@howeaboutsomeketchul
Hello!
The only way all this can get worse if if they turn the thefts into a meme. Absolutely disgusting. I will not be returning to this fandom.
@rockyztownesys
Thank you,, I'm on a quest to try and get all the stolen art I can find taken down. In the meantime I've been trying to draw for myself but the truth is I'm really unmotivated atm. Hoping I feel better soon.
Thank you! :) I'm hoping I recover from all this too..
@paper-starz
Thank you,, I'm doing my best to draw for myself. But the truth is I'm just very unmotivated to draw without the nice feedback from my followers.😔I'm sure I'll find a way around it though. Maybe a longer break is what I need..
@misscherrypie
I'm sad they're out of season now 😔
(Link in post)
oooo I like the designs! :D
@mimiocto
Hello! :)
@neo-metalscottic (Digital circus post in question)
Thank you! I'm glad you like him. And funny you should mention the Lego batman movie Joker, I think his coattails subconsciously inspired me!
As for Roblox, I've been playing Creatures of Sonaria. Its a neat Gacha game where you get to run around as all these whacky creatures. So far my top 3 favorites are the Momola, Shararook and Jhiggo Jangl. Though I don't really play as Shararook because it moves so slowly and cant jump, climb or swim :(
And lastly, I really like that portrayal of Mario and Luigi! I imagine since Mario seems to be tough and a real go getter, he doesn't typically think situations all the way through and plan things out. He just jumps right in and sees what happens!.. Which don't usually turn out well <XD Giving him the appearance of the "dumber" brother as a result-
Meanwhile Luigi is more anxious and on the cautious side and is always thinking everything through before he does it. This makes me think he'd come out as the "smarter" brother who does a lot more thinking than doing. When in reality they're both pretty smart!
@glitchhayden418
Positive potato save me.. save me positive potato..
Yeah, I left a comment explaining that I wasn't ok with people using my designs. They apologized saying that they didn't know and immediately made their own design and hasn't used mine since. Nice fellow honestly, though I wish they had just checked first.
I'll have to look into that, thank you!
Thank you.. I've been trying to take a break and draw for myself. But I find myself unmotivated to draw while also missing drawing. Is that what burnout looks like.? I don't know..
For now I'm kind of lurking. I'm going to go try and get a lot of my stuff taken down. Hopefully it works and that gives me the confidence to come back and post some more. I love the interactions I get and wanna keep sharing my drawings. I just gotta take some time to try and feel better I suppose..
@lizardlover-skylarglamrock
Thank you,, I'm trying not to let it demotivate me. But its sure been happening a lot more than usual..
@wolfie-777
That's a neat idea! :000
@anonymous-red-shades
The CookieRun: Kingdom spooky muffin..
(link in ask)
Not particularly interested if I'm being honest.. the only character I like so far is Golden Osmanthus Cookie. Don't get me wrong I like the designs and themes of this update, but the cookies personalities are kind'a annoying to me so far 😔
Hmm.. what's something about him I haven't shared...
I don't think I've shared this- in my welcome home AU there are silly and colorful versions of normal foods. Like silly blue spaghetti or purple pizza! Stuff you might find in a show like that.
Now the thing is, Eddie wont touch any of these foods. He'll only eat foods that look normal to our standards. And he doesn't really know why he's picky about this.. he just is..
(Its because he was a human before becoming a puppet)
@captain-skyley
Aww, What a cutie! :D

OKAY THE SKELETON BROTHERS.
I really really love them, with all my heart so I kinda just wanted to Yap about them and kinda how I view their relationship using theories, clues from the game, etc!!
So we know that Sans is papyrus' big brother, as in the Japanese version of the game, Papyrus calls sans 'Onii-Chan' (big brother) and we also know that sans calls papyrus his little brother in deltarune
They also come from another world, (as we know with clues from Sans, such as in the dinner with him in MTT resort where he says that 'I know the feeling buddy' when he talks about frisk having to leave the underground. I like to interpret that they came from deltarune! (This is also backed by clues, and is a popular theory but right now I'm too lazy to provide said clues.)
Papyrus also doesn't really have any memory of their old world?? He recalls remembering 'grass', before I'm pretty sure sans cuts him off (This was in a newsletter, or at least some form of offical toby content)
There's nothing said about any other family, asides from Gaster (possibly?? Lots of people say 'oh but how do we know that' and like gaster speaks In a font, who else does that? Sans and papyrus!, I'm also pretty sure they're related cause pretty much any similar monster shown in game is related: The dreemurrs, the rabbits, snowdrake and chill drake, the only real exceptions are the dogs, and frisk and chara) and Grandpa semi, a scrapped character that was originally going to be the grandfather of sans and papyrus
Anyway, onto the brothers themselves!! It's implied that Sana raised papyrus (such as in the newsletter thing where papyrus asks sans if he would cut his apples for him if he were his mother) and also it's just a pretty popular headcanon.
ANYWAY, moving on from implied backstory stuff, those two care for each other SO DEEPLY. They may argue, yes, they may get frustrated with each other occasionally, also yes, but they care for each other a stupid amount!! Sans (through multiple points throughout the game) talks about how cool is brother is, he's not sarcastic or anything at all, he seems the most genuine to us whenever he is talking about his brother! He helps him achieve his dream, they are quite literally each other's worlds
Papyrus isn't an idiot, he's aware of the stuff his brothers done to help him, and he is also most likely aware of his brothers depression and is shown to care for him and help him out. He cooks for him (even if his cooking isn't the best) he helps him out.
Those two keep each other going! They're so different but also so similar, while they don't entirely know everything about each other, they still love each other and believe in each other yadda yadda
ALSO ALSO
In the Japanese version of the game, Papyrus refers to himself using a certain honorific that I believe is supposed to convey that you think your great or something?? (I read about it awhile ago and can't find the original thing so bare with me) ALLLLL throughout the game EXCEPT when you go into sans' room, cause he expects his brother there, and not the human!!
Papyrus actually believes that he can be his true self around his brother..
ANYWAY I HATTTEE when papyrus is depicted as naive oblivious idiot because he is anything but, he's intelligent and even undyne calls him strong, he's just too nice. Being nice isn't a weakness!
He chooses to believe that people can do better despite knowing that he could be proved wrong, it's his decision to believe in people, it's their decision to prove him wrong. That doesn't make him dumb!!
Anyway why did this turn from a skelebros rant into a 'why papyrus isn't an idiot' one
But yeah, they the cutest and best brothers ever!!
extra headcanons about them because they're cute:
* I like to believe they both need glasses. Papyrus has small, uneven, eyesockets with no eyelights?? There's the whole rock incident just after you first meet him! Sans just moreso needs reading glasses and it's just something that's come with age
* They were raised by their grandpa semi before he passed when papyrus was a kid, leaving sans have to raise him (Sans raising papyrus brainrot)
* Papyrus MAY be terrible at cooking but I like to say that he's really good at baking- part of the reason is cause he doesn't learn that with undyne because it's not really her thing, hence doesn't do it as often in general either
* Sans would listen to ABBA. Idk why I think this It's just silly (also probably paps)
ANYWAY YEAH
But expand on it later I just wrote this quickly before a nap from knowledge of the top of my head
#sans#undertale#papyrus#yapping#skelebros#skelebros heehehe#skelebros brainrot#skeleton brothers my beloved#nobody loves them like i love then#they are perfect#in everyway

Some thoughts on Dragon Age Veilguard a couple weeks after playing/reviewing it.
Obligatory disclaimer, feel free to skip to the cut if you've read it.
Something came to my attention. I need to make it crystal clear that I utterly love the diversity in DAV. It's fantastic. I'm also a heavily left leaning, non-binary, queer as fuck reviewer, editor, and author.
Please be safe and take care of yourselves. Arguing with incels and white supremacists is completely pointless. They sea lion worse than an actual sea lion. Your mental health is important.
Though, every single time the anti-queer brigade comes out for a new DA game, I sit there thinking 'have you bozos ever played any DA game, like, ever?' My guess is nope.
Note: My reviews for DA and my blog posts about DAV in particular aren't edited. I don't have the time, energy, or heart to edit them properly.
It's been 16 days since I finished DAV.
And sadly, my opinion still hasn't changed. Especially after learning about Joplin from my friend's artbook. (Joplin is the original concept and art concepts for the game. It had so much we were all really desperate to see. It was gorgeous. And they scrapped it.)
I don't know why they scrapped it, it was exactly what so many of us wanted.
Honestly? I don't care why. I'm sick of all the excuses people keep making for BioWare turning out such a shitty game.
Were there reasons and difficulties I don't know and will never know about? There usually are.
But those things are honestly irrelevant when it comes to producing a quality product.
I work my ever loving ass off to make sure my books are good. And I don't have a team to help me and a 250 million dollar budget. I do everything myself because I have to.
Indie studios turn out fantastic games with cool worlds, good fighting systems, and interesting monsters all the time. With some help and some budget, sure. But not likely on the scale of what they had for DAV.
I'm both a creator and an editor. When you're making a product for sale, it's incredibly foolish to change a series title too much from what worked before. Sure, fix problems, streamline stuff, but people generally don't play RPGs for anything past the worldbuilding, writing, story, and characters. There's action RPGs, sure. I'm playing one now and loving it (Greedfall).
It's a solid RPG that feels like an RPG. (DAV did not.) The fighting system works. The companions are actually useful. They kill bad guys all by themselves! It's quite refreshing tbh.
When you're creating something for fun, sure, do what the fuck ever you want as long as it isn't harmful to someone else. (Don’t put words in my mouth. By harmful, I mean specifically things like racism, sexism, ableism etc. Not whether someone dislikes the colour green and thinks the word 'triggered' means unhappy or uncomfortable. It doesn't. It's specifically a needed mental health term.)
When you're creating a product for sale, you make decisions. IE. I chose to write a reverse harem series. That's a choice influenced by the business reality that my queer books hardly sell at all.
I still love the characters and world I built, still love the plot etc. But it was still a decision on my part. Because my work of words is my only income. I'm disabled and recovering from a pulmonary embolism. My partner is recovering from a broken back and has at least one, possibly two more surgeries to go. We don't get very much help from anywhere. Money is so tight it squeaks. I'm hoping with the decision to write m/f reverse harem, my sales will improve (They already have with only two books out. Third before end of year.)
So. No. No more excuses for BioWare. They've always, from rumour, had a lot of control over the games they make, even if EA does pollute the studio by owning it.
Someone made the choices that resulted in such a shitty game. Someone approved the terrible (in some cases, racist, sexist, and ableist) writing. Someone thought the editing was just fine (it really really is not).
Someone (likely Epler given what he's said in interviews) decided that it was a good idea to Disney-fie the most recent addition to an adult, dark fantasy game that has historically delivered a lot of horror elements. While somehow condescending to kids at the same time.
Someone decided to remove so many of those dark fantasy elements. It's especially obvious in the not-fucking-darkspawn. They made them goofy, not scary and vaguely horror inspiring. But it's all throughout the game.
Someone made decisions. Those decisions made an awful game.
Someone decided tying your companions' skill points acquisition to their level of bond with you was a good idea. Maybe it looked good on paper. I don’t honestly care. It made it nigh impossible to get them high enough to be actually useful. Meaning your OP character always has aggro. Fine, I guess, if you're a tank player, but what about the rest of us?
Someone decided to remove blood splatter from a freaking BioWare game.
Someone decided to go with that wretched art style.
Someone decided nerfing the rogue class was a good idea. Why even have them? They're just light skirmishers, not rogues. Without, y'know, the rogue skills that make a rogue.
It was a decision, each and every time.
Someone decided everything about that game.
So miss me with the excuses.
I would like actual reasons, but I highly doubt we'll ever get them.
Someone made unwise and often foolish decisions during development of DAV. The results are clear.
Simply by the fact they aren't releasing sales numbers... that indicates it's probably not doing well. Larian basically called their earnings for BG3 out weekly.
It mostly just makes me sad now. DAV could've been fantastic. Because of decisions human beings in positions of power made, DAV, while having some good parts, just sucks.

I realize a lot of the current fandom came to the game after several patches or several *years* since release. So a lot of you might not know the history and how things used to be different.
Now, I personally have very strong feelings about the direction in which FFXV was taken post-launch, but this isn't the point of this post.
The point is to maybe make some newer people in the fandom realize that things used to be very different and hopefully make some of you guys learn something cool about a game you love.
FFXV had several core philosophies that were new, and brave, and really cool, and some of them ended up backfiring really badly. It endeavored to be a multimedia project (the multitude of associated media wasn't just "they weren't able to fit it in the game"!). It was intended to be a live service game (which feels very disconnected from the meaning of that term now, but it was already pretty weird at the time. Tabata, the game's director, seemed to have a very different idea of what it meant from the rest of the world, and to him it meant free monthly updates for multiple years alongside paid DLC). It also was intended to take the players' feedback into account in order to become the best game it could be. That's why we got a huge poll asking for what to add to the game, and that's why a ton of changes were made to the game's main story and content after release. That's also why the original experience is nearly lost to time now.
The initial few patches were mostly a continuation of the game's development. Stuff the devs hadn't managed to do in time or that they thought needed to be better. As time went on, though, more and more updates were made that changed the game's identity in significant ways.
One of the major ideas behind FFXV's storytelling was that it was always intended to be subjective. The main game was Noct's story. You had main characters leaving, you had a lot of things not being explained, a lot of stuff you had to piece together from scraps of info. You were intended to experience the story the way Noctis did. The DLC and other media were supposed to fill those gaps for you. What happened in Insomnia while we were gone? What did the other party members get up to while they weren't with us? You were supposed to get this information from different narrators, different viewpoints.
Think about it. Noctis is only twenty, he was never explicitly told what his destiny would involve, he was never taught how to do this. He's confused, he's terrified, he's just trying to keep going one step at a time through most of the game. It was immersive and impactful when you shared some of those feelings as a player.
The information was there. In other media (Kingsglaive, Brotherhood, A Kings's Tale, Parting Ways, Platinum Demo, eventually all the DLC), but also in little scraps around the game's world. Radio transmissions, Cosmogony books, scraps of newspapers and documents, the environmental storytelling of the nights creeping into your days, the ruined walls of Zegnautus Keep. It was in the context. The subtext. The cross-referencing and theory crafting we, the fandom, did.
You would be surprised just how much of the lore added in DLC and updates elicited no reaction from us back then. It was "duh". It was things we already knew. Things we'd pieced together, discussed, and written fics for months in advance.
Then the Internet did its thing and the loudest voices the devs could hear were the people who didn't love the game, who didn't want to put in the effort, who didn't want to think about it too hard. And instead of only affecting the subsequent content, it also changed the game we used to know.
The random interactable lore dumps they added to many locations with no explanation or reason to be there. The bestiary and character infos (which is a great feature but contributes to making players wait for lore to be fed to them rather than think for themselves). The horrible, disgusting powerpoint presentation they inserted into the middle of the Shiva conversation on the train that just pauses mid-dialogue to offer you an extensive infodump and then continues as if that never happened. There's a lot of things like this.
Did you know the original Ch13 was a horror game? The Ring's spells were tuned in such a way that they incentivised sneaking. It wasn't even mandatory then, you could still bruteforce your way through just by learning the simple counter timing for the Ring. But until you did, you got a precious few minutes of feeling terrified of the MTs patrolling the corridors. People complained that it "took you out of the action" and "interrupted the pace". Oh, do you mean how Noctis was INTERRUPTED by suddenly being all alone, in an unknown, hostile place, trying to rush to save his friend but not get himself killed? It was impactful. It was memorable. Now ch13 feels like a bad joke, Ardyn's attempts at taunts triggering a minute late when you've already moved on from the corpses of the MTs he's warning you about.
Do you know how it felt when Insomnia was a quarter of its current game size and had barely any content? It was rushed, yes. But that was the tragedy of it. The reason why it was so successful at conveying how this felt to Noctis, to the others who'd been waiting for him for a decade. To be reunited only to die. To be robbed of all your freedom in favor of playing the role you were meant for.
Did you realize the entire boss rush at the end is a Royal Edition addition? It's too long. It feels disjointed and at odds with the mood of the story. You're supposed to feel helpless. You're supposed to despair. Instead you get each party member delivering an over-the-top finisher move while yelling extremely cheesy and out of character lines about how much they love their friend. We always knew how much they loved him. It was in their presence. In their willingness to die for him. In the way they didn't look away when they knew they were about to lose him. In the stilted dialogue and awkward attempts at humor, trying to recapture their lost innocence.
This game used to punch you in the gut as it ended. It used to make you feel like you were watching a dear friend walk to his death and had to live with that, with the knowledge that for all its injustice and cruelty, this was "for the best".
Go out. Get the 1.0 mod (which I was consulted for as the person who actually played the old versions and resident modding community grandma but did not touch any of the actual mod making). Get an old disk copy for your console. See this game at its strongest. Experience the version of the story that forces you to grapple with the tragedy and doesn't sugarcoat or distract you from the ugly parts.

In my poll I did, many of you were surprised that I did Invader Zim art. I going to sound old (which I am) I began drawing IZ art over 10 years ago when I discovered Devianart for the first time, it was also the first time for me using the internet.
Back then Devianart was fun, I met wonderful artists and friends, who also had an obsession with Invader Zim. We drew each other gifts and fanart of each other's Ocs. Did contests, memes, and livestreams. I also learned how to take commissions.
To be honest, those years were very dark for me and Devianart was my refuge. People then may have noticed that I was a strange person. I didn't know if I was acting normal, I didn't even know that mental health exists. I was always told by adults to have good grades and ignore my issues.
I discovered another fandom, Homestuck I may have drawn like 2-3 pictures. But I preferred to watch and not do my own fanart, same with Undertale. I also found Tumblr and posted my IZ and other art here.
Over time I wanted to draw my own original stuff. I started to like drawing comics and did my own series.
So I deleted almost all of my IZ art and put the most I liked into one post (and yes I regret it), which you see here.
In 2019 I began working as an Illustrator and working on books and some time later began my Webtoon series Cool Uncle.
Then a few years ago, I wanted to stop using Tumblr, only for lurking and deleted almost everything.
Last year (2023) I drew all my old IZ OCs in one illustration, for old time's sake.
A few months ago I became more active here on Tumblr and I began drawing TSBS art. So here I am.
If you want to see some old drawings that survived you can find them here (I'm not active, I only drop my art there):

This is something that’s been annoying me so much. Like I get the complaints in some sense, I really do. The game isn’t perfect, there are things I’m disappointed about.
But at the same time the DATV we’re playing isn’t the product of 10 years of development like a lot of people seem to think. The version of the game we’re playing was made in 3 years. 3 years of development made under what was clearly a lot of pressure. There is stuff the devs have said they wanted to include in the game and weren’t able to, and a lot of that content is still in the game files. Like very specifically the devs said they planned on there being an epilogue originally, that they were supposed to go back to the Lighthouse and talk about looking for the “dead” companion and talk about the Devouring Storm, and then the world was supposed to be completely free to run around in and for you to do whatever quests were left over after that. And there are still assets and recorded dialogue in the files that reflect that. Like do people really think they were dawdling and then went ‘let’s not include an epilogue to make our players upset with us’? That it was a creative decision made? Because it wasn’t.
If you’re looking at the art book going ‘well this would’ve been so much cooler’ I promise you, the stuff in Veilguard that they chose to go with probably looked just as cool, if not cooler, in the concept art. The unfulfilled potential of something always looks cooler than the finished product, whether it be a book, movie, tv show, or video game. That’s just how storytelling works unfortunately. But as my dad loves to say, ideas are cheap, what matters is the execution. If all a piece of art has going for it is that it was a ‘cool idea’ then it’s worthless because what matters is the work you put in, not the cool idea itself. (Sidenote: that’s why AI ‘art’ has no worth. It’s all idea and no execution). There is no way to say if the finished product of the idea behind the concept art would’ve actually been better because the idea wasn’t executed. People are comparing a cool idea to hundreds of hours of work, and that is an unfair comparison to the actual work it requires to make art.
Fundamentally there isn’t ‘another better Dragon Age’ out there that could’ve been made or the devs chose to not make to fuck you over. There also isn’t a world where if they’d taken 3 more years it would’ve been the perfect game. It was very likely ‘release a game now, or Bioware gets shut down.’ ME:LE was likely an attempt to buy a few more years of time to make a game. So yes, be disappointed, mourn the potential. But please, folks, stop making asinine comments that make it sound like you’ve never made art before. And remember that the system that video games are made in, is a fundamentally hostile one that does not genuinely value the work that developers put in, and demands a game be pushed out ever 2-3 years made in teams of 100 or fewer people, despite the fact that that’s fundamentally not sustainable nor truly possible. Just… be sensible.
BioWare, for many years now: What we are doing is kind of unsustainable. There aren't enough resources for a massive grand thing with big branching story branches. We have to pick and choose. Internally we have fought very hard for the best, including Keep support for DAV as people now have datamined, but unfortunately resource and tech limitations have forced our hand. Also EA.
Fandom: why didn't BioWare hire NASA to give them the tech are they stupid

In my world there's a little creature called night's grief! They have translucent blue bodies (of the color of the nearest body of water when they're born). Their ribs are slightly out of the skin and their paws are exposed bone witha structure like a cat's. They have very long necks (disporpotionate) and a skull on their heads
These little guys came to be before humans even did! Lady Night of the upper pantheon made her people in her image. Night was still pretty young by god standarts by then, so she started seeing the oldest woman of her people as an elder/mother.
When that woman died, Night was super upset. Night's grief spawned of her grief and tears.
Night's grief are creatures that live in perpectual mourning/yearning for a "mother" that they'll never have. They don't hold memory of members of their own species and their biological mother isn't the "mother" they mourn. They tend to project sadness and it becomes paralysing hopelessness to whoever is around if they feel threathened
All the sound they make is "mother" in the language of the upper pantheon
(Also if I end up spamming you, pls don't feel pressured tp abswer quickly)
In my world also, there's heaven where reside gods that were once human and can get kicked out, and there's the upper pantheon The upper pantheon consists of Life, Death, Mother Nature, Day, and Night. There isn't much to say about the first three, Life created the base from which everything evolved, Mother Nature watches over the world, and Death is just a guardian, she's just death. But Day and Night! They're different because they have their own people that are different from normal humans, Night's children and the daywalkers are Night's and Day's people They're really different in nature, though! Night's people are people that Night made in her image before regular humans appeared. They're her children and live in peace (their society is almost an utopia). Night is a very involved god! She doesn't care about outsiders but she is very attentive to her people. Night's people only die of old age or if they're killed (which they arent usually, Night destroys whoever harms her people). If they get sick, a little prayer is all it takes for Night to fix it. Day and the daywalkers, however! Day is a very different god than Night. While Night is peaceful and motherly, Day represents the horror of wake reality, and everything bad that it carries. He has an inhuman-almost-human appearance (uncanny valley) and the manneirisms to match.
While Night made her people from scratch in her image, the daywalkers are result of Day's prolonged fixation on a group of people that was initially normal humans. These humans, because of being under the influence his scrutinity and power for millenia, began to change to resemble him. Due to this, they were ostracised from regular society, which lead to full self sufficiency and separated culture. The daywalkers are not all that peaceful/utopic, because Day himself is not. The venerated all that is horrifying and dangerous because it's what Day represents. Day will also kill whoever hurts his people, but unlike Night, he might do it himself. When their people are hurt, Night has the motherly rage that leads her to destroying the person that did it. Day has that kind of possessive fixation of "only I can hurt them"
Look who's over a week late with(out) Starbucks :'D
But damn, this is hella imaginative!! The Night's grief creatures sounds right out of any folk legend, I can totally see some ancient culture coming up with them, and the distinction between Day and Night is also very reminicent of mythology, and tbh I'm kinda glad to see that the one associated with darkness is not the bad one XD.
Are planning on writing a novel or something? Bc it's clear that you have put real thought into this! 👏
#replies#this is some cool original stuff you have!#congrats on creating something that sounds legit!

interesting how in the FA "beyond lay the wilderness of Dungortheb, where the sorcery of Sauron and the power of Melian came together, and horror and madness walked", then in the TA the Fangorn-Lorien-Mirkwood triangle of Weird Sorcery Forests exists between the domains of saruman, galadriel, necromancer-sauron, and radagast
#silm#silmarillion#lotr#the hobbit#nan dungortheb#fangorn forest#lothlorien#mirkwood#nan dungortheb had the original spawn of ungoliant; southern mirkwood has the giant spiders (probably lesser spawn)#all three forests were thought cursed in some way (fangorn's huorns + general ominousness; the mini-girdle in lorien)#the weird dol guldur area in southern mirkwood). mirkwood also has the dream-river and the possibly-magic-affected white deer in the hobbit#plus the way it slopes just right to appear endless from within#like. that's a whole lot of maia-power concentrated in one area#and that's coming from at least four distinct ainurin domains (aule; melian/vana; melkor; yavanna)#five if you count the balrog as a separate umaia; and double yavanna if the ents count as well#not to mention nenya doing its thing#and at least one palantir and possibly some dwarf rings in the mix#and also the concerning amount of enchanted dwarf stuff + enchanted celebrimbor stuff#no wonder the rohirrim think the whole place is cursed#also on the other side of the mountains you have elrond with his ulmo-magic and melian-magic and vilya#but hes not as close to saurons borders so rivendell is just Cool Elf Magic and not Terrifying Sorcery lol

#star wars#the original trilogy#boba fett#darth vader#hi. sorry for star war jumpscare. genuinely#i feel like ive kinda been on an art hiatus lately due to health stuff#i got diagnosed with a parathyroid disease recently (wahoo) so now i know why i have been feeling so bad! need more tests though#anyway. in the mean time most of the entertainment my brain can handle has been like. youtube clip compilations of shows and movies#not even the actual shows or movies. literally just sections of them on youtube#i wish i was joking#the only reason i know what happens in succession is because i have watched it in disjointed order in youtube compilations. not joking#anyway so ive learned a lot more about star wars than i ever. thought i would#mostly just the original trilogy and prequels. some of the old comics & books are interesting too#(sick to my stomach) i like darth vader he has like the same personality as ganondorf except he had no good reason for doing anything#when vader/anakin does literally anything weird or unacceptable it like. makes me laugh so hard its like jerma when he sees a car accident#boba fett’s costume design has been rotating in my head a lot too it’s very good#he’s very colorful and like. matte/unpolished compared to vader and it makes them a cool duo visually#those 2 are my favorites. vader why is the space cowboy the only person aside from sidious or tarkin who is allowed to get mad at you#sidious is my 3rd favorite. he sucks so bad as like a person that you just. you have no expectations of him except just being evil#so its just really funny like everything he does is horrible and he’s so happy all the time like good for him#i’m making it sound like ive never seen star wars before. i have i just never really cared about it until i got an endocrine disorder lmao#but yeah idk art may continue to be slow while im figuring out treatment stuff#if anyone reading this also has or has had hyperparathyroidism im wishing the strength & radiance of 1000 beautiful horses upon you

girl help I started writing down oc thoughts and have started contemplating the logistics of how a city carved into the walls of a ravine would have access to fresh water
#rye.txt#MaVst#'you should do some worldbuilding' I said to myself#'it'll be easy' i said#'just write down the little thoughts you've had floating around'#I AM A FOOL#there are so many bullet points in this fuckign document#and they're all devoted to the minutiae of how the city I have in my mind would function#how the very terrain would influence the culture#couldn't just do a normal city on flat terrain noooo I had to include homes carved into rock#anyway im pretending im upset but this is so much fun#I loveee getting to think about how tiny details all affect each other and influence the greater whole#it's like problem solving but I get to make the solutions as fun and fantastical as I want#if my ocs are my silly little dolls to play pretend with#then the worldbuilding is like getting to build the doll house#which is just as fun imo#anyway im gonna give the capital city an abandoned under-city that's no longer habitable now that the original royal family is#no longer in power#it used to be lit with the light magic of the ruler that was amplified by the crown#but now it's almost impossible to navigate and so big that your torch is liable to burn out before you can explore much at all#and without a light source it's completely pitch black darkness#<- see stuff like this is so fun to think about and I can just slap it onto my world because it's cool

finally finished all of one character's entire quests/optional dialogue/questions/etc.... 100,000 words... .... aughhh
#Given some of it IS lines of code and stuff but like.. minus all that it's still probably at least 85 - 95k words hhhhhh#AND I have to do this for another 3 characters. Then a few partial quests for 3 others. THEN the other random misc stuff in the game#(like there are public areas in the city like a park and a forest that you can go and do a few things at. and chat with a few random#townsfolk that aren't actually full characters or anything. And there's a community board where you can#browse some of the random job advertisments or silly things that happen to be posted around#and also pick up a few odd jobs of your own to help earn coin to buy gifts for the npcs. etc. etc.)#Originally I was thinking like 'ah I'll make a short little game just to try it out! :3 It'll take maybe a few months!''#haha........................hee hee........................................hoho#Also evil that it would have been done already if I didn't totally drop itand stop working on it for like 5 years randomly#i could have made 5 years of steady slow progress gradually. instead of like 'one initial idea dump + about a month of art and writing'#...... 5 year break..... 'sudden mad dash to try to get probably 400.000 words written in a year or less' lol#I just really want to be done and have something out there already so it can lead to doing other things in my world..!!!!!! T o T#Like this can be an introduction and then maybe from that I can make other games. or short story anthologies. or other such things#But there needs to be some initially not very complex easy to interact with starting point first I guess... if that makes sense#That's part of why I stopped posting worldbuilding lore dump stuff as often because its' like.. massive walls of novella length#text are much more inacessible to engage with than like.. ooh a game! and there's characters! so its more approachable! and theres#visuals! oo! and the text is broken up in small bits line by line with other things in betwen! oo! etc. etc. lol#Not that THIS is even very accessible. I think dialogue heavy interactive fiction/visual novel type stuff is pretty niche and considered#boring or tedious compared to something with more ''gamplay'' like where you can actually move around in a world#and shoot things or whatever lol. But its an inbetween point. something SLIGHTLY#more accesible for now. Since i just dont have the budget or means or ability to make some skyrim type thing obviously LOL#Though maybe if theres any interest in the visual novel that could lead to making other things too. or at least I hope. I have a VERY cool#idea for a more ''gamey'' type of game that is a super fun concept and etc. but I would need to hire at least 2 people to make it.. ough..#I could do all the writing and probably half of the art. But I think I'd inevitably need a 3d artist and someone who can Code For Real hbjh#the system for ren'py (the thing I'm making a visual novel in) is not that complicated if you stick to just simple dialogue and stuff.#Making a whole moderately sized 3d game with minigames in it and a bunch of quest features and etc. would be out of my simplistic scope#''just learn it yourself!!' ... i barely manage to eat and sleep reliably every day lol... i do not function well enough to spend months#learning that many new skills. I already have a lot of of things I'm good at (not in a braggy way but just factually like.. i already have#a wide variety of different things under my belt).. at some point I have to just be happy with what i CAN already do and focus on that#and admit I need to get outside help sometimes ghjbh... NO more new skills/hobbies!!! ... ANYWAY

#WOOOOAAHHH THEY'RE TRANSPARENT!! I THOUGHT REGIICE WAS BLUE BUT LIKE#i guess it makes sense that they're actually transparent! 'cuz! they're made of ice! i kinda wish they were blue here since that's like#more iconic and i feel like they'd be more recognizable if they were transparent but i guess this ALSO looks cool#and no‚ the stuff in there is not‚ like. its brain or whatever. it's just FULLY transparent and you can see through to my desktop wallpaper#and that's what's showing through its head. which is like cool but i'm worried makes this guy a little bit less visually distinct#actually yeah it kinda does LEMME redo this one but with a blank background and see if it looks any better#yyyeeeeaaahh okay this helps a bit. more visual clarity. i'll replace it with the one where you Can't see my desktop wallpaper#i might leave that version under the cut actually. but i'd have to add some text to the post which i generally don't like doing. just to#explain what it is. cuz not everyone is gonna read these tags#i'll just. leave it the way it is. in two weeks i'll just hope i remember what wallpaper i had applied when i took the original image#cuz i have it set to change every night through a set list of images that i update whenever i find a new image i like that's roughly#the resolution of my monitor. i dunno if anyone else does this#most irrelevant tags ever#regice#thanks for the catch on the spelling nidoskull
