I've been mulling over how this world would work and how the Dream Conductors affect dreams while also affecting the real world (Stardust Express appearing in the sky as a shooting star). I don't often do AU stuff let alone writing/world building so bear with me LOL. I'm thinking the stars in the sky are the physical manifestation of people's dreams. Stars eventually go out, right? And they need to be replaced, so the Conductors collect crystallized dreams (konpeito shaped bc of course I have to reference star bits/gratitude crystals in some way) and put them in the night sky! I think if there's an overabundance of crystallized dream energy in one person, that becomes a nightmare.
