Since everyone seems to love my sex shop stories, here’s another one.
Phone calls were literally a game for us. Not all phone calls, but there was a specific brand of call where guys would creep on us. 90% of the workforce at the sex shops was women. So we’d get dudes calling jacking off or trying to get their jollies from us.
The game: make them hang up. We could have hung up. On a few occasions I did, but for the most part we made a sport out of getting creeps to go flaccid. It really depended on a caller.
You couldn’t just go in for belittling them straight off- some guys wanted that. You had to tailor your strategy to the perv. Overall it was pretty fun and it turned an aspect of the job that could’ve become a major bummer into a fun sport. We’d get excited when the phones rang.
So one day the phone rings. I pick up and it was very clearly a young teen who was putting on a deep voice. I was utterly delighted, I’d never had a crank call before. He said, “I have a dildo emergency! Can you deliver 5 boxes of dildos to my home?!”
It took everything in me not to crack in that moment. It was so funny. It was like three kids had walked through the door in a trench coat and the phrase “dildo emergency” was one of the funniest things I’d ever heard.
But I kept it together. In smooth customer service tones I replied, “Oh, I’m sorry to hear you’re having an emergency, but due to the nature of our product we do require people to come pick it up themselves.”
The caller audibly deflated. Some of the deep voice he was putting on bled away when he said plaintively, “But it’s an emergency…”
“I’m sorry, sir, rules are rules.”
He hung up. I burst out laughing and told my coworker what had happened. She said, “I will buy you lunch if you call back and pretend you can deliver something.”
This sounded like an all around win for me, and the kid hadn’t used anything to block his number. So I called back.
“Hello!” This was before caller ID was common for home phones and so he picked up in his totally normal voice, several octaves higher than before.
“Hello, I’m calling regarding your dildo emergency?”
“Oh! Hem hem,” he coughed, getting his voice back into character for me. “Yes! The emergency!”
“Well I’ve spoken to my manager and it’s your lucky day. We’ll be able to make a delivery after all. Five boxes you said? We can swing it by later, we’ll just need your name, address, and credit card number.”
He was thrown by needing to provide info and was silent for a moment then said, “Well how much is it for five boxes?”
“About five hundred dollars, sir.”
He slipped out of his character voice to exclaim, “Five hundred dollars?! What kind of dildos are they?!”
“Just standard six inches with balls, sir.”
This was his breaking point. He started wheezing with laughter trying to repeat the phrase “six inches with balls” incoherently.
“So your address and card info?”
He hung up and I broke down laughing too. We both got a kick out of it, and I won the game twice in one day.

I was gonna reblog my original post but I didn't wanna spam people with a long ass post (this post is already long enough) so instead I'll just link the previous post here and if yall wanna go look at it you can, but the short version is that a few days ago I made a post talking about HBs incredibly high turnover rate, and apparently within a few days it got enough traction to where it started spreading to the higher-ups of Spindlehorse, including Viv herself. I decided to make this update post just as a way to debunk what I can and as clearly as I can.
First tweet:
So for starters, they say this as if IMDB's numbers aren't publically available, it's not like I pulled these numbers out of my ass without merit, these are numbers I got off of IMDB. And I know some people might pull the high school English teacher card of “Anyone can edit that!!” and to be honest I dont feel like going into the semantics of one of the most non-arguments you can possibly use so all I’ll say is that the process of editing a Wikipedia or IMDB page is not as easy as your English teachers taught you to think it is. Sure you can edit it but it's another story if the edit will be saved. There's moderation, it's not a free-for-all.
Also, I find it interesting how this tweet was made (and subsequently deleted) mere days after their promotion to Animation Director, and if there's anything I've learned from Spindlehorse controversies it is that if someone is in any real position at the top of the companies proverbial food chain they shouldn't be allowed to speak for the experiences of employees lower on the ladder than them, especially when a lot of them seem to have a habit of denying certain claims despite the public availability of numerous pieces of evidence pointing toward the contrary
It's like if you visited a bunch of former employees of a restaurant with a high turnover rate with proof that they had worked there and for exactly how long they worked there and then the manager comes along and tries to basically say “NUH UH” despite information proving the contrary being publicly available (maybe not the best analogy but you get what I mean)
—
Ok now onto the second one by Viv herself:
There’s a lot to dissect here so I’m gonna break it down bit by bit.
Firstly:
"They’re listing every single credited person in EVERY art department"
So the way I got my numbers was by going to the Series Animation Department section of HB's IMDB, highlighting every name from the beginning of the section to the end, and then pasting them into this website which gave me the line count of 444. Was that the most optimal way of doing so? No, especially after I learned after the fact that there's a way to just see the numbers straight up, but that hardly matters considering the fact that there are allegedly more people in the animation dept who were uncredited, however, I'm still waiting on some more info from my source as to the validity and the scale of these claims (How many people were uncredited, how little were they paid for their work, etc etc) to make a proper post about it, so until then ill just leave it at that as to not make accusations without merit.
So, humoring Viv, I added up the total IMDB credits for the Art Dept and Visual Effects Dept, as well as the Sound Dept since I qualify sound as a form of art and because I wanted to give Viv as fair a chance as possible and actually tally the total credits of “every art department” as Viv claims I did, and it still only equals 155 total credits, a little over a third of the credits in the Animation Dept
Secondly:
“That includes the TC and Chaos credits”
So these are in reference to Toon City and Chaos Emporium, 2 companies known as a source for outsourcing animation, and just to humor Viv I decided to go onto IMDB and tally up all of the Chaos and TC credits since according to her that's where I got most of my final number.
After doing so, Chaos Emporium had a total of 15 credits, and Toon City had a total of 45
So Viv is making it seem like the TC and CE credits make up a large majority of them, which is why I got the number I did, when in reality when combined they only equal 60 credits. 14% of the total (technically it’s 13.5% but I’m rounding to the nearest whole for the sake of convenience)
Thirdly:
“We dont even have 400 people. Simply Misinformation.”
You’re right Viv, you dont have 400 people, because I never said you did, nor did I imply you did. I said you've had 400. Of course you dont have 400 current employees, your company burns through them like paper because you underpay them while you go burning your Amazon and merch money on cruises and vacations and continuously post photos of you buying from zionist companies knowing full well that they're part of an active boycott.
—
So yeah, that's my 2 cents. Sorry if this sounded like some shit you'd see on a Twitlonger but after Viv was made aware of the posts I made about the turnover rate (and subsequently blocked me within the hour after seeing it) I knew that it wasn't gonna be long before I had people DMing me about how wrong I was because “Viv said it was wrong so it must be wrong”.
One more thing I wanna add because I've gotten a lot of angry messages/asks about this, a lot of Viv stans seem to think I have this bizarre hate boner for Viv when I really don’t. I don’t hate Viv, I hate what she’s become. I hate how ever since the HH pilot she’s become a bully who can’t take criticism. And not just on the surface level of “criticism makes her upset”, because yea no shit, criticism makes everyone upset at least a little, and it's why I hate it when people see someone being upset at criticism and going “ERMM, CANT TAKE CRITICISM?”
When I say “Viv can’t take criticism” I mean she actively tries to shut down any convo about it without trying to learn from it. She blocks anyone who talks poorly about her or her company and makes baseless claims knowing full well her fans will follow her to the ends of Hell regardless of whether or not what she’s saying is even correct.
That’s all I got for now

Find Another Moment
Pairing: Jim Street x fem!SWAT!reader
Summary: Through a trip to find his mom, a series of explosions and executions, and an impromptu dinner date, you realize that you need Jim Street by your side all the time. Almost as much as he needs you.
Warnings: spoilers for 2x22 "Kangaroo" and Cinque story line from s2, angst to fluff, Karen Street being a bad mom, lots of comfort and love!
Word Count: 4.2k+ words
A/N: I shocked myself by making a rewrite that isn't chock-full of verbatim lines from the show! I hope you enjoy and please let me know what you think!
Masterlist Directory | Jim Street Masterlist | Request Info\Fandom List
There are very few people you rush to answer the phone for. When Jim Street calls hours after your shift ends, you nearly trip over your feet to get to the phone and talk to him.
“Street, hey,” you greet when the line connects.
“Hey, sorry for the late call,” he says. “But I, uh, I wanted to ask if maybe you could get another ride to work tomorrow? I know it’s late notice.”
“Sure. Is everything okay?”
Street sighs, and your worry and concern for him grows.
“You can talk to me, Street. You know that. But you don’t have to.”
“No, I want to,” he answers. “It’s my mom. That thing with the credit card information worked out and I got an address. Now that I know where she is, I can do something. I’m going to go check it in the morning before I head to HQ.”
“No problem. Family comes first. If you want me to come along though, just wait in the car, I can. You shouldn’t have to do this at all, but it’s really messed up that you’re having to do it alone, Jim.”
You don’t often call him by his first name, so you hope he doesn’t take it as trying to force your way into his personal life. He gets enough grief from Hondo about his mom, and the last thing you want to do is make him think you want to interfere and give your opinion, too.
“Your decision,” you add. “But I can definitely call in a favor from someone else. And my car should be back from the shop this week, so I’ll finally stop asking you to chauffeur me.”
“I don’t mind. Just… with my mom, I don’t want to make anything awkward between us if she is there.”
“Street, there’s nothing that could happen that would change how I think of you or our relationship,” you assure him. “I understand if you want to go alone, though.”
“I don’t,” Street says softly. “I really don’t.”
“Then pick me up before you go. What harm can some moral support do?”
“Thank you.”
“What friends are for.”
“No, really. I don’t think you realize just how much you’re doing for me. Thank you.”
“Goodnight, Street.”
Street sits back and sighs. You said nothing could change your relationship, but after moments like this, he wants to be the one to change it. Being friends and teammates is great, but you could be more. And, for once in his life, Street wants to do something for himself, to be happy with you without any care for what others think. If his mother doesn't scare you away, by some miracle or chance of fate, Street will tell you that he has feelings for you. Then, you get to take it from there because Street has been manipulated too many times in his life to find comfort in causing others to rush into big decisions. Especially when his heart and happiness are on the line, too.
The following morning, you wait on the curb of your usual parking spot for Street. He seems nervous as he pulls in, and you hope that the moral support you came to provide eases him. You’ve heard the horror stories about his mom but haven’t talked to her extensively like some of your other teammates. If she is here, you’ll give Street room to do his thing and then navigate the rest as he instructs. Street is special to you, and you refuse to lose him by overstepping or pushing his boundaries. He’s your friend, and you stay there because if you lose Street, you lose everything that matters.
“This is it?” you ask.
Street leans over the steering wheel to look at the old, sinking apartment complex. People wander aimlessly around the building, and clothes and furniture hang from windows. A distinct sense of doom and gloom escapes through all the cracks and crevices, showing the building's age and lack of care.
“Come in with me?” Street requests. “Please?”
You nod as you open the door. As you walk toward Street, you have to step over broken beer bottles, cigarette butts, and empty nos canisters. At his side, you smile, trying to remind Street that you’re with him, no matter what.
Inside, you follow Street up a staircase lined with trash. The hallway at the top is dark and dirty, and the cheap laminate floor is peeling from the corners. No one deserves to live like this, you think as you notice someone sitting at the end of the hall, rocking back and forth.
Street slows beside an open door, and you stop as he pushes it open further. Music plays inside, and Street looks over his shoulder at you and nods once.
“Good luck,” you whisper. “I’m right here.”
You watch Street step inside, then turn slightly to see inside the apartment. It’s trashed and nearly unlivable, but Karen Street is sitting on the floor and laughing at an old cartoon. Your eyes move to Street as he tries to get her attention. A sound down the hall draws your attention momentarily, but you turn back quickly when Street asks who someone is.
“Bryce,” the unseen man answers.
“So, you leave the apartment and disappear for weeks without a word and starting using again ‘cause you chose this guy?” Street asks.
“Name ain’t ‘this guy,’ it’s Bryce,” Bryce says. “And you need to go.”
You can see Street, but not Bryce from your position in the hallway. When Street stands quickly, you step inside and watch as he shoves the man against the fridge.
“Okay,” Bryce pants.
“Hey, stop it,” Karen calls as she stands. “Stop it, stop it! Eddie, baby, please.”
While Bryce asks who Eddie is, you debate whether you should walk back into the hallway or try to help Street. When Karen hugs Street while talking to his father, you wait. You step toward him as he shoves his mom back.
“Oh, Jimmy,” Karen says when she realizes it's Street and not her husband. She pulls her robe closed and murmurs, “I’m gonna… straighten things up.”
She moves toward the kitchen, and you follow her, nodding at Street. You gently place your arm before Karen and smile when she turns toward you.
“Hey, Mrs. Street,” you greet softly. “I can straighten up for you, but why don’t we go somewhere else for now?”
“What’s she on?” Jim asks behind you.
“We took a mix,” Bryce answers. “A mix of a lot of things.”
“Maybe we could go get breakfast,” you suggest. “Wouldn’t you like some time with Jim?”
Karen nods and turns toward Street. “I can make waffles,” she offers. “I might have to go to the store though.”
“I don’t want waffles, Ma,” Street answers.
Street grabs a blanket from the table and drapes it over his mom’s shoulders. “I’m taking her home,” he says as he places his hand on her back. “Bryce.”
You follow Jim and Karen for a few steps, then stop. “Bryce,” you call. “If I find out that the mix of a lot of things was your creation, I’ll be back.”
“It wasn’t!” he yells after you.
You wave your hand over your shoulder as you exit, leaving the door open behind you. When you catch up with Street, he’s almost back to his car.
“You take her home, I can call someone,” you offer.
“I’ll drop you off. Tell Hondo I’ll be late?” he replies.
“Sure.” Street closes the car door, and you catch his wrist as you ask, “Are you okay?”
He shrugs, and you nod in understanding. You squeeze his hand gently, then release him to get in the car. Street means more to you than he’ll ever know, and you’ll do everything you can, even covering for him to Hondo, to be here for him.
“Street, it’s me,” you say to the voicemail. “Hondo knows you’re running late, but I didn’t tell him anything specific. I’m going to the courthouse with Cortez. Um… if you need anything, let me know.”
After you hang up, you exit the car and meet Jessica on the sidewalk. She knows who you called, you’re sure of it, but you’re hoping that she won’t try to meddle or give you advice. The walk into the courthouse is a comfortable silence, which you’re grateful for. As you sit, Jessica speaks to the reporter on her other side, but you keep your eyes on the defendants before you. When they stand suddenly and begin chanting, you roll your eyes. They’ve been saying the same thing since they were arrested.
“The time to be good to each other has passed,” they add. “The system will be burned to ashes, starting with this courthouse.”
You look at Jessica as you lean forward.
“That’s new,” she says.
Outside the courthouse, people begin yelling, and you don’t hesitate to stand and walk toward the door. Jessica follows behind you, and when you enter the hallway to see Cinque on the screen, you stop in your tracks.
“Cinque,” Jessica says. “He must have hacked the feed.”
She raises her phone to film the live video, but you listen to Cinque rather than focus on who is with him or where he is. Hondo and the rest of your team will be watching back at HQ, but if you can help, you want to be prepared.
“So,” Cinque continues, “this time we don’t want money and we don’t want to bargain. We’re going to burn the system down and rebuild on its ashes.”
Cinque raises a phone and presses the screen. Several cars outside the courthouse explode, and you duck down as the people around you scream. Jessica pulls her gun and instructs people to move farther into the courthouse. You stay beside her and fight every instinct to run out and help the people closest to the explosion.
“Cortez, this isn’t over,” you say over the chaos behind you.
Jessica holsters her gun and pulls her phone out of her pocket. “He’s going to sentence a politician on live television every hour,” she tells you. “He’s just getting started.”
“That was the 4th Street bridge, but he’ll move. You need my team.”
Your phone rings before Jessica can respond. Street’s name on the screen is the best thing you’ve seen all day, you think as you answer the call.
“Street,” you greet when the call connects.
“Are you okay?” he asks.
“I’m fine. Cortez is good, too. No casualties here. How are things there?”
“Hectic. When are you coming back?”
“When am I coming back?” you repeat, looking at Jessica. She shrugs, it’s your decision. “I’m not. I’m going to stay with Cortez and keep an eye on everything here.”
“Be careful,” Street implores. “Keep me updated.”
“You, too.”
“Councilman Strub’s body, hanging from the 4th Street bridge, it seems familiar.”
“Figure it out, Street, we both know you can.”
“I have to tell Hondo all is good there.”
“I’ll see you later, Street. I promise.”
“I’ll hold you to that.”
Less than an hour later, you’re still at the courthouse when Cinque executes another politician. You don’t watch this time, but you text Street to be careful immediately after the broadcast ends.
Back at HQ, Hicks tells Street, “Get the rest of your team and go grab Cinque!”
“The rest of my team isn’t here,” Street mumbles as he and Deacon exit the situation room.
“I know you’re worried about her,” Deacon says, “but she’s okay. If we want to get her back here safely, we have to stay focused, Street.”
Deacon joins Luca as Street calls for Chris and Tan to visit the location of Cinque’s last IP address. As he works, Street realizes that Deacon is right and wrong at the same time. He doesn’t just want you back to be part of the team, Jim Street wants you by his side all the time. Having you at his side, as a teammate, when things are bad, is great, but that’s not all he wants. He needs more.
After successfully saving Councilman Washington, 20 Squad is surprised to see Jessica back at HQ. Street, however, only looks for you.
“She’s still at the courthouse, waiting for things to settle there,” she tells Street. “Deputies didn’t mind the help.”
Street nods and watches Jessica walk to her office with Hondo. He’s glad you’re okay and safe, but he’d prefer to see you in person. You stepped up this morning to help him with his mom, and now, Street isn’t sure when he’ll see you again.
“We need to find Cinque,” he tells Luca.
“For personal reasons or the public’s safety?” Luca asks knowingly.
“Why not both?”
Your phone rings during a conversation with a bailiff. Jessica’s name on the caller ID makes you answer it before you even excuse yourself.
“Cortez, hey,” you greet. “Everything okay?”
“It will be. Cinque is in custody, and Deacon and Hondo are reviewing all the intel we have to find the last Emancipator. I need you to join me at City Hall, if everything is under control at the courthouse?”
“As under control as it can be. They’re understandably freaked about the explosions and the live broadcasts, but they can spare me. I’ll be there in twenty. Do you think we’ll actually find anything or have to wait for another lead?” you ask as you exit the courthouse.
“I wish I had an answer for you.”
Before you leave for City Hall, you text Street to let him know where you’re going. You hesitate over the ‘Send’ button, then add, I’ll see you soon. It’s a promise.
“Find anything?” Street asks as he enters the situation room.
“There’s a live press conference at City Hall, we think it’s the next Emancipator target,” Hondo answers. “Cinque’s been planning all of this for a while. Was there anything going on at City Hall in the last year?”
“Let me see,” Deacon murmurs. After a quick search, he pulls up a record and photos. “They installed new security cameras four months ago, and the installation crew had to scan IDs to gain access to the building. And that work crew sure looks like our Emancipators on trial.”
“They used the installation job to plant explosives inside City Hall,” Hondo realizes.
Street’s phone buzzes, and he continues listening to Hondo as he reads your message and rereads it.
“Cinque likes an audience. Now he’s got one on live TV,” Hondo adds.
“Tell Cortez,” Deacon urges.
“She’s not the only one there,” Street says, looking up from his phone. “They’re both in a death trap.”
“Call her,” Hondo commands as he raises his phone to his ear. “We need everyone out without raising flags.”
Standing in the crowd at City Hall, you watch as Cortez turns to the side and answers her phone. Your phone begins buzzing immediately after, and you step back to answer the call from Street.
“The Emancipators are planning to blow up City Hall,” Street says, skipping his usual greeting. “Hondo wants everyone out.”
“Got it,” you answer.
“No, hey, listen to me. You get out of there.”
“Street, I will.”
“Don’t wait, just get out of there and come back here. Okay?”
“I’ll be back soon, Street. I promised, didn’t I?”
Now, you just have to keep that promise.
Back at HQ, Hondo preps 20 Squad, and they roll out in Black Betty less than five minutes later. In his seat, Street forces himself to pay attention to Hondo. If he doesn’t focus on his job, his mind will run rampant and make him think of everything that could happen to you.
When people begin exiting City Hall, the final Emancipator detonates one of the explosives hidden inside. You’ve strayed from Hicks and Cortez to make sure everyone gets out safely, and when the building shakes and the first explosion echoes through the halls, you cover your head.
“Go, get out of here!” you yell to a man in the same hall.
The explosion sounded like it was on the two-side of the building. Though you know the sound may have been distributed oddly and you could be wrong, you begin moving that way. Street told you to leave, but you’re this close; you can’t sit back and do nothing.
“Go,” you call as you run past civilians exiting doors off the hallway.
You near the two-side as the explosions continue, ranging in speed and location. Without communications with your team, you have no idea if the bomber is even in the building. Or anyone else, for that matter.
“22-David, Chris got the bomber,” Luca alerts.
“30-David to D-Team. Status,” Deacon requests.
“26-David, clear,” Street answers.
“25-David, clear,” Tan adds.
“20-David, all clear,” Hondo reports after a moment. “And I’ve got Cortez.”
“Just Cortez?” Street asks.
Street doesn’t wait for an answer before he rips his phone from his pocket and calls you. You don't answer, and Street runs toward one of the only standing entrances. As he enters the falling building, he yells your name, screams through the dust, ignores the burning in his eyes and throat, and climbs over the rubble.
“Talk to me!” he yells, feeling ready to collapse. Leaning against a pile of debris, Street yells your name once more.
Each explosion disorients you more. Between the dust, the noise, and how the closer explosions throw off your balance, you lose sight of the exterior wall and your escape. Instead, you focus on moving forward and keeping your hope of finding any door.
Someone yells in the distance, but you can’t decipher where they are. Everything is muffled, and your steps are growing slow and heavy in your oncoming lethargy.
“Street,” you whisper, reaching for your phone before remembering you dropped it while running past a falling pillar.
Your eyes flutter closed as you lean against a wall. Investigators will be inside soon, so you rest amongst the wreckage and consider simply waiting for them. Until someone yells your name, that is.
“Street?” you ask without opening your eyes. You try to imagine the voice in your head again, and the simple thought of Jim Street gives you the strength to stand. “Street!” you yell. You’re interrupted by a cough, but you call for him again and hope you aren’t imagining his presence.
“What can you see?” Street yells.
He sounds closer now, and you smile as you reply, “Dust!”
“Cute,” Street says, his voice quieter but clear.
You turn to the side, and your eyes widen when you see him. Street steps to you and pulls you against his chest, hugging you tightly. He cradles your head against his chest for a moment before he pulls back and lays a hand against your cheek to look at your face.
“Let’s get out of here,” he suggests. “You feel okay?”
You nod and agree, leaning against Street as he follows Luca’s radioed directions to a clear exit. In the light of day, you can see that you and Street are both covered in dust, but there’s no one else you’d rather have beside you for support. You like having him by your side, you realize, and you wouldn’t mind staying at his side even when you’re off-duty.
“Thank goodness,” Street sighs. “I thought I’d forgotten what you looked like without all the City Hall powder on you.”
“You stare at her enough it should be burned into your mind,” Luca teases as he waves at you. “Have a good one.”
“You too, Luca,” you call.
“You want to come over?” Street offers, pulling his backpack onto his shoulder. “I can make you dinner.”
You smile as you close your locker. “I really want to, Street. But isn’t your mom at your place right now? Don’t you need to spend time with her, before, you know?”
“Is that the only reason you’re saying no?”
“I didn’t say no,” you argue with a smile. “I don’t want to intrude, though.”
“Come with me,” Street repeats, offering his hand.
You lay your palm over his, and you know you are home. Your place has always been by Jim Street, and you’re finally seeing that.
“Go ahead,” you murmur at Street’s door. “I’ll either be here to take you to my place or I’ll come in later.”
Street nods and squeezes your fingers gently. As he enters his apartment, he sighs. “Hey,” he tells his mom.
“How was work?” she asks.
“It was good,” Street lies. You were in danger, it was terrible, but his mom has enough to deal with already. Not that he would have told her the truth anyway. “How you feeling, Mom?”
“My headache’s cleared away, so… Thank you so much for coming and getting me. Uh, thank your friend, too. You okay?”
Street doesn’t answer, his eyes straying to the door, where you’re waiting to be everything he needs and more. Not because you have to or feel some obligation or twisted sense of responsibility for him, but because you want to.
“I’m so sorry, Jimmy, that you had to see me like that,” Karen continues. “Sometimes your mom’s just pretty sick.”
The door opens, and Street doesn’t turn around because he knows it isn’t you.
“Mrs. Street,” Karen’s parole officer says, “I have to remand you back into state custody for parole violations. You missed several check-in appointments and were found under the influence or narcotics.”
“You reported me?” Karen asks Street.
“So that you can get treatment, get better,” Street explains.
“I can’t go back to jail. Jimmy, I can’t go back to prison, I can’t. After all I’ve been through and all I’ve done for you, you’re sending me back? What kind of son would do this to his mother?”
“The kind that doesn’t want you to die.”
You watch as Karen is led out of Street’s apartment. With her back to you, she never sees you, but you heard everything. The door is still open, but you knock regardless as you step into Street’s home. His eyes are on the floor until you enter, and then he looks up with sadness evident on his face. Jim Street has never been one to wear his heart on his sleeve, but with you, he’d rip it out of his chest and place it in your loving hands without second-guessing that you’d treat it better than he ever could.
“Jim,” you say softly. “I’m so sorry.”
Street gently grabs your left wrist, closing his fingers around your skin and feeling your pulse thump beneath his touch. With his other hand, he pushes the door closed. When you step closer to him, Street pulls you into his arms and drops his head to your shoulder. Carefully, you move your hands to rub between his shoulders while gently brushing through his short hair.
“You did the right thing,” you promise him. “You love her. Even if she can’t see it, you did the right thing.”
Street’s arms tighten around your waist, and you close your eyes as you hold him.
“What do you want for dinner?” Street asks against your shirt.
You chuckle at his sudden change of subject, but neither you nor Street move. The comfort, the peace, the love you feel at every point of connection you have with Street is better than anything you’ve ever felt or will ever feel in the future.
“What if we order from your favorite place?” you suggest.
“Why?” Street mumbles, his hands clutching the back of your shirt.
“Uh, because you like it.”
“No, I mean, why stay with me, be here for all of this?”
You gently push Street back to look into his eyes. With your hands on either side of his face, you smile and answer, “Because I want to be. Right here is the best place I’ve ever been.”
Street smiles, his dimples appearing beneath your thumbs at your honesty. With his hands at your side, Street leans his forehead against yours and sighs.
“I really am hungry,” he admits.
“I thought we were having a moment,” you tease, brushing your thumbs over his dimples.
As you look into Street’s eyes, you desperately want to kiss him. After everything that’s happened, you don’t want to make him uncomfortable or force him into something he isn’t ready for yet. So, you wait.
“You didn’t listen to me. When I told you to get out of City Hall… you were all I could think about and when we realized what Cinque’s crew was doing, I realized that I need you, all the time,” Street confesses.
“I thought you were hungry,” you whisper.
“You can’t have it both ways,” Street replies happily. “Unless you want it both ways, and then I’ll find a way to make it work.”
“I want you, Street,” you say. “Now and forever, I want nothing but you.”
“Even with all the drama?”
“And the trauma,” you affirm with a nod. “We all have pasts and baggage, Street.”
“Would kissing you immediately after sending my mom back to jail be weird?”
“Now that you’ve pointed it out, yes, it would.” You step back and suggest, “Dinner and then we try to find another moment?”
“Only if you’re in it,” Street answers.

FLIGHT TICKETS (nathan doe)
summary: you miss your brothers and Nate tries to help you in the best way he knows how
genre: FLUFFFLUFF
cw!: mentions of missing your brothers…?
a/n: i think this was requested by @iha8you i think
“hey you know who we haven’t seen in a while?” i say, with my legs rested on his lap, we’re both laying on the couch, watching a cheesy rom-com only I enjoy.
“who?” he asks, diverting his gaze from the movie and onto me.
“my brothers, now that they’re internet famous and living in LA, we haven’t seen them since like, august” I sit up so I can look at him better, placing the bowl of popcorn on the coffee table.
“yeah you’re right” he thought for a moment, given the 5 hour plane ride would take at least ‘some’ planning to do. “do you wanna call ‘em and see if we can plan to go there?” nate says before picking up the remote and pausing the movie. He gets out his phone before my response to see the earliest flights available.
“yeah but babe, calm down, we don’t have to do this like, right now” I say, laughing a little bit. Living so far away from my brothers hasn’t been the easiest so Nate was always there for me when they couldn’t be, so he sometimes overdoes it with these things, but i don’t mind, the majority of the time….(foreshadowing the“puppy love”fic im working on…)
“but- you’ve been talking ‘bout how you miss them lately, with all the christmasy stuff and all” he says, grabbing my hand reassuringly. He never liked seeing me sad, he knew that christmas meant a lot to me and to not have them around for all the pre-christmas traditions wasn’t nice. He also missed them, even if he wouldn’t admit it.
“i know, i know. But we really don’t have to think about this today, we’ll get the flights tomorrow, lets just finish the movie first m’kay?” I pleaded, squeezing his hand and smiling at him, trying to not get him to rush on making decisions.
“finee” he sighed, caving in “but I don’t even like the movie…” he muttered under his breath.
“what d’ya say?” i asked, turning my head to him with a half joking, questioning look.
“….nothing…?” he mumbled with a grin on his face, trying to hide the fact that he tried to say he didn’t like to watch “ten things i hate about you” for the 10th time, which he did enjoy of course, but just cause it was with me.
I let him off easily and just grinned, rolling my eyes at him, and curling up besides him, snaking an arm around my waist and bringing me in.
A while later, as I was drifting off to sleep, he took out his phone, quickly bringing the brightness down to not disturb me, and opening up “skyscanner” he typed up “boston-los angeles flights” and got looking, I peered open my eye just a bit and smiled when I saw him looking cautiously through the flight info, eventually putting in his credit card information and turning his phone off. God he was stubborn but I couldn’t help but melt at his determination to make me smile.
“i love you” I whispered beside him, eyes closed, a smile still on my face, he placed a gentle kiss on my cheek in response and turned the volume on the tv down.
I guess we’re going to LA?

Munich Mineral Show Sale - October 25th 2024 Rules & Procedures
Hello friends! Everyone planning to participate in the sale today, please read. This is how everything will work. I’m posting some items I picked at the Munich gem show. I will invoice tonight and after the second day of posting. All orders placed during this multi-day sale will be combined if you buy things on different days and orders will ship next week. And please note that I will be considering all these orders open box orders unless you specify you want me to add shipping! :)
I will start posting items for sale directly here on Tumblr. To claim an item and place your order, do the following:
Reply to the post (those who are unable to reply for whatever reason can reblog) saying “sold” or “mine" with the quantity you’d like to claim. It’s important you do this so we can see who claimed something first in case something sells out.
Keep a list of everything you claim (with the item number for each item). Once you’re done claiming, please message me over the instant messenger.
Include the following information in your message:
Your email address for the invoice, the country you live in (for shipping purposes - we are shipping from Austria), and the list of what you claimed (with the item numbers). Also please let me know if you want your order to be *open box* or *ready to ship*. “Open box” simply means you want us to hang onto your items after you pay so that you can continue to add things from future sales so everything can be shipped together for convenience 😊
Shipping to Europe is $12
Shipping elsewhere is $15
For extra-large packages, shipping is $20
Be sure to send your info at the end of the sale or whenever you’re sure you’re done claiming.
Invoicing will be done through my online shop “Bekkathyst” - the invoice gets sent to your email and you get the option to pay with a PayPal account or with a credit or debit card. You don’t need to have a PayPal account to pay.
Please pay as soon as possible so we can continue to shop for new inventory at the show :)
Unfortunately due to problems we have encountered before - if you claim items and then at the end of the sale and either don’t respond to your invoice or never message, you will be blocked.
If you decide you’re backing out of a claim before the sale is over, message me so that I can delete your comment. Please try to avoid doing this. Thank you!
We now offer an “open box” option in which you can continue to keep your order open (aka have us not ship it yet) for future sales so everything can be shipped together once you’re ready. When you send your info please don’t forget to let me know if you’d like your order to be *open box* or *ready to ship*. Thank you!! 🙏
For all items that are marked random selection, you may make a request for a specific piece and we will do our best to honor your request, but it is not always possible. Please keep that in mind :)
Any questions? Feel free to ask! I hope you’ll join us and have lots of fun!

WIBTA if I asked my girlfriend to get me a replacement mask?
So I and my girlfriend (both adults) are in a long-distance relationship and live on different continents but visit each other for periods of weeks to months at a time. As background context, my girlfriend is notoriously bad with money - she's owed me over $1500 for half a year now after I covered some big expenses for her when she was unable to save in time, though I've told her there's no particular deadline for giving it back and to just do it when she's able, but she's also borrowed money from her parents, she's paying off a credit card debt, and despite having a full-time job she seems completely unable to save anything substantial and is constantly buying things.
We both like a certain musician, and this shared interest in the musician is actually how we met in the first place and bonded. They've dropped some merch in the past, and it always sold out within 5-10 minutes, and they're borderline impossible to get now unless you a) are lucky enough to find another fan who's giving theirs away, which is super rare because of how hard they are to replace, or b) are willing to fork out thousands of dollars for a resold one on some dodgy site somewhere. One of the merch items I got from one of those drops was a facemask, and my girlfriend has a matching one - I can't remember if it was something I bought for her, since I did that with some merch if I got there in time, or one she bought herself. It became a huge comfort item for me - I'm both autistic and have avoidant personality disorder, so I'm almost always in some kind of mask to hide my face, and this one being connected to a special interest as well as comfortable and a perfect size (and goes with all my clothes!) made me super happy. Last time she visited, we joked around about having identical masks but that it was easy to tell which one was hers because it had makeup stains all over the inside.
As she packed to leave, I mentioned that I couldn't find my mask anywhere and asked if she'd picked mine up as well as hers by accident, so she dug through her bags and said she didn't have it, only hers. I was kinda disappointed but I figured it'd turn up sooner or later so I accepted it, and she flew back home.
A few days later, she let me know she'd unpacked and discovered she actually did have both our masks. I asked her to send it back to me, and she said she would.
Fast forward a few months, I'd asked a few more times, and she always said she would soon. Eventually, when I asked one time, she told me she'd lost it. Her mother had tidied her entire room and she no longer had any idea where either of our masks were. I was kind of frustrated so I asked why she couldn't have just sent it over when I initially asked, and she snapped back that she couldn't afford it, which doesn't make much sense to me because she definitely does have enough to send over a flat envelope, which a fabric face mask would easily fit in just like a letter.
It's been a few months since then and I've been looking and looking for any kind of replacement, but all I can find are knock-off versions that are made from different materials or don't look the same. I did see one resold for like $20 ages ago, so it definitely happens, but it's so rare.
WIBTA if I told my girlfriend I'm expecting her to replace the one she lost even if it's putting more financial pressure on her? I feel really dumb for getting so upset about a mask, but it was one of my favourite belongings and it's genuinely upsetting that it was taken and lost.
To get out ahead of any comment saying it, I have full 100% faith that she did not do it intentionally and she didn't sell it or anything like that. She wouldn't have even thought about the possibility of doing that and I absolutely believe it was an accident and she just grabbed both masks or had been holding onto mine for me and forgotten it was in a bag etc.

help me with my uni project — questions for queer teens living in queerphobic environments: what are some challenges you face in accessing queer books and how do you overcome them? 🌈📚
Hey guys it's been a while! Truly sorry for long time no TRC content, I have been struggling with life ajfdhskadfj. Pls help with my bookish project for uni, I know there are a lot of y'all queer bookish people on here. I'm doing my senior capstone project on increasing access to queer books in the U.S., especially given the rising book bans and hostility towards queer people and themes. Queer books are so important to me, they helped me find my community (and my girlfriend! lol) and were a source of safety when my family was not. However, I grew up in California and always had easy access to queer books in my public/school libraries. Since I don't have personal experience not having access, I really want to hear from people who are experiencing this to better inform my project! If you have time to comment some thoughts in response to these questions, I'll be so grateful! You don't have to answer them all, any comment would be helpful!
What are some challenges you face in accessing physical queer books?
Are these books just not in schools/libraries/stores at all, or are they there but needing transportation/cost poses a challenge?
Is being seen holding or browsing overtly queer books a concern?
What are some challenges you face in accessing digital queer books (e-books, audiobooks, etc.)?
If you find it hard to buy/borrow digital queer books, what is the barrier (cost, needing a parent's credit card info, needing to sign up for a library card, etc.)?
What are some ways you still manage to get your hands on the queer books that you want to read?
Are there any websites that you have found useful?
Are there any frustrations with these sites and ways you think they could be improved?
If there was a "free online bookstore" of queer books where you could apply to receive a free copy, would you prefer to get it as an e-book, or as a physical book (if discreet shipping was an option)?
Where do you usually hear about queer books that you would like to read (Instagram, TikTok, friends, etc.?)
Anything else about your experience with accessing/not being able to access queer books would be appreciated!
(If you wanna private message your answers, pls do so! I'm also on Instagram with the same username)
Thank you sooo much in advance! 💗

LinZin Coffee Shop AU snippet? Could be very cute. Please and thank you. 🤍☕️🧋 I’m enjoying the writing kick you are on.
Hi girlie! this is mooonths late lol forgive me
Tenzin is a 3rd year university student and he works part-time at a coffee shop. Midterms is coming up and he notices the most beautiful girl has been visiting often. She always comes alone, so maybe she's single? From her credit card info, her name is Lin.
Tenzin is smitten with her even if he hasn't had a real conversation with her.
Since first seeing her, Tenzin has memorized her schedule. He feels it's creepy and keeps this info to himself. Today is Tuesday and she came in around 2pm. Lin always orders the same thing---iced toffee nut latte. Sometimes, she adds a yogurt or snack with her purchase. Then she goes to her usual corner by the window and starts working.
Today the sunlight is subtle, but so refreshing. It's hitting at the perfect angle to give her an angelic aura. Tenzin can't stop looking at her, in between getting drinks ready and taking orders. Lin may not notice while she works, but his manager certainly does.
"Go tell her hi," a voice whispers in his ear.
Tenzin's heart almost stops beating and tears out of his chest at the voice. "Shit! Sokka, don't scare me like that!" he hisses back, fixing the collar of his shirt.
"You've been planning your whole life together before you even had a real conversation with her. Now stop being a loser, go charm her, and get her number. Or Instagram."
"I can't just do that! It'll be weird!"
"Do i have to do everything around here?" Sokka grumbles. He pulls Tenzin close. "Listen, go ask if she wants to have the blinds closed since it's in her face."
"Oh..." tenzin nods in interest. "Good idea. Then what?"
"Have a conversation with her! Ask her what she's studying or something. Or if she goes to the same university. Do i have to tell you everything?"
"It would help."
"Damn it, Tenzin. You really need a girlfriend. How is it you're so smart, but can't talk to girls?"
"I don't know, it's a curse."
Sokka smacks him lightly on the shoulder. "We'll talk about that later. Go on."
"But---"
A shove forces him away from the counter and the panic already rises to Tenzin's face. Sokka motions at the window and glares for extra measure. Realizing that he had no way out of this (unless he literally runs away), Tenzin awkwardly walks over to Lin's table. His hip almost knocks over another customer's table and he apologizes profusely.
Sokka facepalms.
Tenzin swallows the lump in his throat as he enters the territory of this heavenly goddess. Lin has her AirPods in and is typing at lightning speed on her laptop. He waves a bit to get her attention and she acknowledges his presence.
Taking one pod out, she asks, 'What can I do for you?"
"Oh, uh, nothing. I was just wondering if you, uh, the sunlight."
Lin tilts her head. "The sunlight?"
"I mean, if you want me to pull the blinds down. Since the sunlight is in your face and blinding you. I mean, not literally. But ..yeah."
"Oh." She glances out the window and then the blinds. "Halfway is fine. It's getting a bit hard to see my screen."
"Of course!" Tenzin pulls the blinds, the shade creeping over Lin's face. The sunlight illuminated her skin and only glowed from her neck down. "If you need anything else, just let me know."
"Thanks."
He can feel his palms sweating profusely and he keeps his hands close to his body. "So...um, do you also go to Republic City University?"
Rather than get rejected, Lin nods. "Yeah. Do you?"
A small smile rises on his face. "Yeah. I"m in my third year. What about you?"
"Second year." She takes a sip of her toffee nut latte. "What's your major?"
"I'm double majoring in Psychology and Literature."
Lin hums, licking her lips to absorb the foam. "Wow, that sounds cool."
"Eh, a lot of reading. But I enjoy it." He scratches the back of his neck. "And you?"
"international business and international law."
"Oh, wow yours is much more intense than mine."
Lin chuckles and nods her head. She leans back and crosses her arms. "Yeah, that's why I'm thinking of just dropping business and doing law."
"Either way, that just sounds so cool. But I'm sure you're really busy with studying and midterms coming up."
A nod. "Yep. So that's why you'll be seeing me everyday."
"I don't mind." The calm smile on his face disappeared and he quickly, added, "It's nice to always sees regulars, even if you're only around for midterms. Having a drink while studying hits hard. "
"Oh even after midterms, you'll see me. You guys have the best toffee nut latte."
"Really?"
"Mhm. It's not too sweet and not too milky. I don't know, I just love it. So I'll be around to donate my money to your workplace." She meets his eyes. "Do you have a lot of midterms?"
A heavy sigh. "Yeah, I have 5. I've been studying in between work and classes."
"Do you study here?"
"Sometimes."
"Maybe we can study together."
His eyes lit up. "Really? You'd be okay with that?"
"Yeah. I don't mind. Plus, it makes sense for you to study here when you can. And it's easier to study with another person."
"Definitely. Sometimes talking it out with someone helps you grasp a concept better."
"Exactly," she agrees.
"Well, I get off at 1pm tomorrow if you wanna study for midterms?"
"That works for me."
"And feel free to bring your friends, too," he added, hoping that it wouldn't make her feel pressured that this was a date.
Lin smirks. "My money isn't enough for you? You're gonna make us all broke."
"I could give it to you guys free one time."
"No, no, I'm just joking. You don't have to."
Tenzin shakes his head. "It's fine. Really. It's just one time."
"Don't worry about us. We'll pay properly. Just keep making good toffee nut lattes."
"Ah..alright." Tenzin bites his lip and feels his awkward side returning with the upcoming silence. He clears his throat and shoots a glance toward Sokka. "Well, um I gotta go back to work. But let me know if you need anything else. Or if you want another latte."
"Sure."
Tenzin turns around to walk away.
"Wait."
"Yes?"
"I didn't get your name. I'm Lin."
"Nice to meet you, Lin. I'm Tenzin."

Hi bitches!!
How do you determine if a rewards program is worth signing up for? It seems like every single business has one now and i can't figure out which ones are worth my time. And then there are the ones that are a credit card *and* a rewards card?? Is tim hortons trying to be my bank?? How do those work and are they worth considering?
Pro tip: most are not worth it.
Double secret probation pro tip: don't fucking bother with business-specific credit cards. Especially if you're not a credit card expert.
Now, here are the exceptions:
Do you shop there every week? A rewards membership might be worth it for the occasional coupon or discount. For example, I have a rewards membership with my grocery store. I regularly save anywhere from $4-$30 on my weekly grocery run due to member-exclusive discounts.
Is it a free membership? Then there's really no harm in it. For example, I have a rewards membership with the shop that changes my car's oil. Every 9 changes I get a free oil change. And I pay nothing for the privilege.
Are you good at ignoring ads? A lot of rewards memberships, even if they're free and useful, are just marketing tools meant to inundate you with marketing spam and emails to induce you to buy more. If you can ignore this extra marketing, you're good to go. For example, my local greenhouse spams me with tons of ads, but I still use their free rewards program because I only buy what I need, when I need it.
If you can handle all that, then go ahead! But I would personally never PAY for a rewards membership. And I have never, EVER gotten a credit card from a store I shop at. Here's more info, my dear:

Thoughts About Light Yagami Being A YouTuber
Thanks to @cacklingskeleton for starting this idea, and @kingofthewilderwest for talking with me about this.
For reference: I am referring to Light from the first five volumes of the manga mainly, rather than the various spinoffs. We will not speak of the horrendous Netflix version. This would be taking place after the Lind L. Taylor incident, which confirms that Kira is in the Kanto region for the whole world.
What's fascinating about Death Note in modern times is that it came out before social media. Light has to get all his news about criminals from newspapers and television, to the point that he had to hide a mini-television in a potato chip bag to avoid surveillance.
Social media has changed things; you can find information about criminals and trials in real-time. The Internet is forever, and we all have smart devices now. Kira could kill a criminal as soon as their mugshot hits Twitter. Not to mention that with the right credit card, you don't need shinigami eyes; you can find all the info that you need on a person.
King and I were disagreeing about one point: would Light do well at YouTube? I think so because Light knows how to control his image, and L was the only person who could see through it. King doesn't agree, because Light's mask falls away rather quickly in the manga. He may know how to plot murder, but his ability to act normal fades away rather quickly.
So let's consider these two angles. There are two ways this could go:
If Light Yagami Is Good At YouTube
Light is calculating and intelligent, good at building his image. I remember this from the manga, how he is popular both in high school and college,
My headcanon is that Light would do videos talking about justice systems in fiction. You have stories about if the apocalypse in Mad Max has appropriate punishments for the antagonist, and if the chickens in Chicken Run have any legal rights. He knows that you can go viral for the wrong reasons, and chooses his topics carefully. What's more, his dad may not understand YouTube, but it would be shameful if Soichiro Yagami's son was caught doing something uncouth.
If Light has some disagreements with YouTubers? He knows how to do what James Somerton did: hide behind an aura of feigned innocence and send his fanbase against them. And how can he be a bad guy? He doesn't even have a Patreon or crowdfunding! All his YouTube revenue goes towards charity, because he has a full-ride to university and his needs are few since he still lives at home to help out with his little sister. She posts videos of them dancing to Misa-Misa's songs. All the other YouTubers are more worried about their careers and are just jealous little shits.
Here is the thing: people leave patterns. And there are whisper networks. Light may think he's leaving no trail, but computers have screencaps, and memory.
If Light Yagami Is Bad At YouTube
He gets by with his channel topics due to his natural good looks. I admit that Light isn't my type because he seems too dark and broody, plus the whole what he did to Naomi Misora, but he might have been appealing.
In this case, the channel topic could be anything: Let's Play video games, reactions to vines and viral videos, "The Best Snacks To Eat While Studying for Entrance Exams." No one doubts that Light can cook, even if he eats those nasty potato chips.
So let's go with King's interpretation. Light is someone who is big talk about general topics, but if you look up close, it's really shallow. People follow him because he's good-looking and has a lovely voice. It's a voice that makes you want to go into battle. Some of his more impressionable fans wonder why he wasn't scouted by a J-pop band. It wouldn't have worked; Soichiro Yagami would stake any manager or agent that would dare keep his son from the college path.
The problem is when Light gets the Death Note. He still posts videos, but he starts getting sloppy. Though he doesn't want to admit it, murder is a huge weight on the human soul. And he takes it out on the communities that welcomed him, in subtle ways.
The Video
Hbomberguy has noticed some trends. Any YouTuber that crosses Light Yagami, even for pointing out something like, "Dude, you took footage from me," somehow gets hit. Light is careful to go only after small people, the marginalized that may leave YouTube from the harassment.
He is careful. After all, if you are going to accuse someone of plagiarizing videos and using his fanbase to destroy the competition, including YouTubers that considered Light a good friend, you need hard evidence, and backups. So hbomberguy brings the receipts, with permission from the victim.
The Kira stuff is the real bombshell; Hbomberguy cites what happened with Lind L. Taylor, and how Light is one of the biggest international YouTubers from the Kanto region, who is bilingual to boot. And something something how he figured out the shinigami thing because there have been incidents of people online talking about writing names in notebooks, getting creeped out when others died, and tossing the books away. They talked about having seen mysterious figures. Yes, it could be Internet hearsay, but the heart attacks match the pattern.
The video goes viral. Light can only watch in horror, because hbomberguy points out that if he dies of a heart attack now, Light will be the prime suspect. Ryuk is cackling.
And somewhere, L is leaning back in his weird crouched position and puffing out a deep breath of frustration. Several months of subtle investigation down the drain, thanks to YouTube drama.

here i am again, head hanging and on my knees as i ask for assistance. more info under the cut
if you have the ability to give, anything will help to feed me and keep me from falling further into credit card debt
p4yp4l | c4sh4pp | v3nmo
i've sent out over two hundred applications in the last three months and am still unemployed. still not eligible for unemployment, not eligible for assistance from my tribe, and still not able to get SNAP benefits due to being unemployed. thankfully, i'm still on medicaid and can still get the treatments i need, but i need to eat, pay my credit card bill, and pay my phone bill. those are my only monthly expenses at the moment-- a total of less than $300 per month.
i don't know how to adequately express how terrible i feel about where I'm at in my life. every time i have to make a post like this, i feel like i get closer to..falling off. i try my best not to think about it too often. i just try to keep my head down, keep applying for jobs, and keep working towards building a healthier life for myself. really trying to be better to myself for the first time in 30 years.
thank you if you took the time to read and/or share. love y'all very much

RAHHHH comgrats on 1k !! :D i genuinely love ur writing sm, literally brings a smile to my face every time i see youve posted something new
could i request a dc matchup ? i am an asian(🇵🇭)autistic minor who is very quiet n soft spoken, though sometimes i can be a bit blunt. i like to think that im very silly nd my ideal date would be a mall date, my ideal type is someone whos very chill nd who i can be silly around, yet have very deep in depth conversations with. im an infp and a scorpio, nd i love getting ready n doing my makeup
i hope this is enough info !!
makeup, stay up
"Hold still." You mumble as Damian holds out his arm, swatching the lipstick on his wrist. "Would that match me?"
"It looks great on my skin." Damian mumbles, holding you still as he holds his wrist to your cheek. "Maybe another shade, dear."
You go through the shades on his arm until Damian finds a color that satisfies him, nodding slowly as he tests it on your arm this time.
"This one." He mumbles. "This would be great."
You take a new package as he takes you to the front, tapping his credit card without even letting you blink.
"Hey, we said—"
"My treat." He mumbles. "It would only be fair for me to pay after you went through so much time of picking a color."
You don't ignore the flush on his skin as he says it.
Headcanons:
110% lets you practice makeup on him. He won't move. He doesn't care if others call it feminine or something. If you like it, he likes it
Damian has a great eye for color since he draws, so he definitely knows color theory and can basically make your foundation from paint 😭 but bc he isn't lacking, he goes out to buy it with you
absolutely loves having deep conversations with you. You want deep? he'll give you deep. What's the meaning of the universe? What governs the force of your lives? Oh, do aliens exist?
Both of you are like. Super blunt when you need to. You two definitely band together to terrorize the mansion.
Damian def learns how to do makeup so he understands what you're doing :((( he likes staring at your pretty face

I like your alien AU and I wanted to ask what the story is behind it and when the rest of the character designs are coming
awww thank u!!! i cant take full credit, a lot of these base ideas come from the bunnydoll server, so shoutouts to them for being epic
as for the story, i haven't written anything out completely yet, but the basics are:
there's this company in charge of space travel and research so they send out teams to investigate newly discovered planets and such
pomni, zooble, ragatha, and kinger are one of these teams, with pomni being the newest. they needed a new team leader and the higher ups at the company chose to throw pomni in there. she hates it and just wants to go home
caine is the ship's AI. he can control pretty much anything. think glados from portal except a lot more silly and also no murder. there are some things that he can't do without permission from whoever's in charge (aka pomni) but other than that he can do mostly whatever he wants
so this team is sent to investigate new planet that was discovered and yep this is the place where all the silly aliens are
gangle is the reason both she and jax accidentally got caught. thanks gangle. but once everyone realises the aliens are actually sentient theyre like "oh shit our bad sorry you can leave" but gangle doesnt wanna leave! because the rest of the team seems cool and she doesn't have anything else to do with her time
jax only stays because he figures he can get some extra info from whoever these space guys are. eventually he'll start to get along with them
pomni does not care about any of the above, she just wants this mission over and done with. so when she's out doing the work by herself that's when she finds gummi injured and brings him back to the ship WITHOUT TELLING ANYONE so he can recover
really there's not much of a storyline yet just a bunch of different events that i have in my mind but if you guys got questions i can answer anything
as for who will be next? idk, i havent decided yet. im still working on figuring out kinger, ragatha, and caine's full designs but maybe the next 2 will be caine and bubble. again i have no idea all i know is that bubble looks like this
right now the closest ive got for the other three are those lil icons on the info cards. im a pretty slow artist sometimes so idk how long itll take for me to finish the next 2. sorry chat

Crystal Clearance & Lot Sale - Starting Sept 13th 2024 Rules & Procedures
Hello friends! Everyone planning to participate in the sale today, please read. This is how everything will work. We desperately need to downsize and make space, so we’re posting our available inventory at a discount- in lots and individual items. I will likely break up the posting between the next few days and invoices will get sent out after the last day of posts.
Payment will be due by the end of Monday, Sept 16th. Please pay as soon as possible.
