How do you get that grainy texture on your art? It’s very nice!

thank you!! i love art that's soft and fuzzy...

i generally do it a handful of different ways, but i tend to bounce between a color noise filter layer in soft light mode, between 30% and 50% opacity,

... or i use something from my wide array of paper textures, and usually set the layer to overlay and play with opacity till i'm happy with it

......oooorr i do a combination of the two! which i did in the final version of this piece, which i Also added a gradient map to to make the colors a lil more ✨Dramatic✨

fuck it. my name is dinosaurvalley. im making a big post of my ideal revamped dinosaur valley

ok so first off, the vibe is already immaculate. the thunder and howling wind is essential. the fucking, tinkling noises? the little crystal-y shiny noises i could do without. but whatever

the kallstone. there should be more of it. there should be places where you can see it poking out of the ground, maybe not a lot and only in remote areas but it should be there

there was an expedition to the valley in 1912. something called the great collapse happened. nic says he’ll tell me more another time and i dont have great memory, so if he ever explained then i dont know. but i think there should be evidence of the expedition somewhere. old busted up structures or something.

there NEEDS to be a fucking building. the outdoor cafe and lean to for the horses is fucking killing me. and the shops need to have stores, AND THE SHOP OWNERS NEED TO HAVE WARM CLOTHES. i know they sell warm stuff but nobody is dressed for the damn weather!!! no immersion! berzelius the engineer is in a skirt!

the kallters shouldnt have fjords. why on earth do the kallters have fjords. i know theyre all gone but bring the kallters back and give them their own jwh variant.

hollow woods made me think of this, but they need to make more cold (not holiday, cold) themed magic horses and let them roam around the area. i know only one place does this but come on it would be perfect. not too many though

related to that, when did they add foxes to the valley of frozen mist?? no opinion on that just when did it happen

there should be a ranger station for alien research next to the main hub building or down the road or something. dont clutter the area too much, but just give it some more stuff to do or see. maybe a couple more races. give it a home stable too

those ice huts??? add more of them. love those things. are they yeti houses? no idea. but i want more.

that ice hook area? 10/10, only one note, make the back of the area more giant cliffs so it doesnt look like a ridge that can be climbed over really easily. idk why it looks like that. its goofy

for the love of god, hide the dinosaur. its called the valley of the hidden dinosaur. hide the fucking dinosaur. put it in frozen mist valley or have it sticking partially out of the mountains. please just… hide the dinosaur. and also its not even a fucking dinosaur

add more fossils? like there are tons of well known prehistoric marine animals. add some fuckoff massive ammonites in the walls. have orthoceras fossils sticking up out of the ground. schools of fish in the ground. trilobites. sorry i just started thinking about prehistoric animals again what was i talking about

I CAME UP WITH AN ANOTHER AU IDEA AND IM SCREAMING

So I was thinking, what would happen if au combined my two favorite things, which are dinosaurs and AvA/M? And then, boom. A new au was born.

AND IM ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED WITH IT

(I’m sorry. I’m such a PaleoNerd and I’m way too obsessed with dead things.)

Imma draw all the characters tonight, but I’ll go ahead and tell you which characters are what dinosaurs. If you don’t know what kind of dinosaur I’m talking about, I recommend you look it up :3 ALTHOUGH DO KEEP IN MIND THAT MOST IMAGES YOU’LL FIND ON THE INTERNET ARE NOT ACCURATE, AND THAT ILL PROBABLY POTRAY THEM DIFFERENTLY

I just saw the helluva boss trailer, and it was a lot to unpack n I tried my hardest to make sense of it. (I might have to make a second post abt this)

Let’s start of with basic things that everyone knows:

Angst.

There is going to be so much angst I can’t even describe like for example Octavia

She’s going and will go through more angst, she thinks that her dad loves Blitzo more than her and even more than her mom (Stella and Stolas was a toxic couple and she new that they wouldn’t last) but still she’s only a teenager and looks like thing through her perspective, but I hope that she sees that Stolas actually does care for her and everything he did(like how he only stayed with Stella for her, he went through an abusive relationship just for Octavia to live a somewhat normal life.)

Angles, and Human team up.

Anywho there’s probably gonna be a big fight somewhere in the episodes and the D.O.R.K.S agents and the Cherubs are going to team up and fight hell (the fights probably going to be in the lust ring)

Sort of a minor detail but the xxx on the building is most likely a pørn studio, Ik that pride has pørn studios, but pride’s color palette is made up of reds.

I honestly feel like he’s from envy, it just makes sense for envy’s (envy hellborns). I feel like envious people would often hid their true emotions with a mask and in his case he hide his ‘death’, or the fact that he’s a hellborn. I say ‘death’ because this episode is obviously going to be centered on ghosts it literally the episode name! And most people believe that ghosts are just lost dead souls with unfinished business in the living world.
