I'm sure some people have already talked about Caitlyn and Jinx's last scene together?
A girl who lived in poverty bc of the messed up system people like Caitlyn made. And due to a series of unfortunate events of cheating and bribery, become mad with grief.
And yes not all of Jinx's crimes can be justified because of her traumatizing past. Like Caitlyn said "No amount of good deeds can undo our crimes" Now you've probably know that she used to word 'our' in there. And we already know in this act she has switched sides. And she's committing to it by associating with a Zaunite specifically a Zaunite that killed her mother.
And a domino effect starts to happen. She's grieving over the lost of her mother and can't really reach out. Her farther, just as heartbroken as her of the lose to the love of his life and starts to drink heavily. Jayce while yes is there for her, but is too caught up on Vik almost dying Vi was the next best thing of support other then her farther and starts to ask a lot for her. But when she doesn't get to kill Jinx like she wanted, she does a double back-flip and tells Vi she is just like those animals in Zaun.
So yes the fact she associated with Jinx is character development. But the way she said, all that anguish yet tiredness she has, she's hesitant to give her this second chance. On her guard that if Jinx did take it, she would go mad again and kill another loved of her. She doesn't want to. But she has to, for Vi.
Which is what ties the two together, the only reason Caitlyn is even talking to Jinx is because of Vi. Because of Vi's albeit a bit delusional idea that Jinx can change. And I personally think that's when Jinx truly realizes how much her sister means to Caitlyn. She knows she killed Caitlyn's mom which is why she asked Cait to pull the trigger in the first place.
Do you ever wondered that Jinx knew Vi would come for her? That she was already planning her death the moment she knew Vi still saw something in her? So maybe that's we she says her apologies to Cait, someone she also hates, but is too caught up in Isha's death to even care. Like Cait, she's so tired of all the chaos she has in her life.
Funny how Caitlyn and Jinx have a few things in common huh?

Drowning Siren - @rogerswifesblog
The Avengers found an old abandoned HYDRA base, that had been cleared after HYDRAs existence had been exposed. At least they thought it was cleared. It was the biggest experimental lab they had ever seen, the closest base to the ocean, full with creatures-dead creatures. Some of them laid still on tables, stripped with metal cuffs, open and already rotting. It was an awful smell. But then they heard something beautiful. A melody, a beautiful voice singing unbelievably gentle sounds. Walking into the building full with ocean creatures, they had no idea their life was about to change.
Vampire Kings Religion - @marvelcriminalhoe
In a world where fantasy beings roam every corner, the humans are on the bottom. Looked at as weak and disgraceful. The vampires are the opposite. They rule the land, and all of the creatures that take part of it. the current ruler, King Steven, has ruled for more than 150 years, alone. After many nights, and long talks with his most trusted hands, he comes to the long awaited decision that he will finally, take a wife. All female creatures, are to be evaluated, so he can find his perfect match. Of course, no one expects for him to choose a human. Especially not one from the church. Especially not the daughter, of the leader, of the church. The same church that detests the mythical creatures, wishing for nothing more than for them to perish in fire. How could this union possibly end well?
Ride And Prejudice - @pagesoflauren
A take on Pride & Prejudice, certain circumstances in your life have led you to take refuge and work in a farm village, particularly on the ranch owned by Steve Rogers. He doesn’t take kindly to you, having bad perceptions about city folk. Your only reaction to that is the one you deem acceptable: get annoyed at every little thing he does whilst doing your best to annoy him and still keep your job.
Love On The Brain - @howardpotts
You’re just a student, living her normal daily life in New York. One night changes everything, without you even knowing. Steve Rogers slowly introduces you to his world full of money, drugs and voilence. But are you able to handle what he has to offer? (MobBoss!Steve Rogers)
Flamingo King - @onsunnyside
The sun is brutal this summer, especially in Flamingo Trailer Park, the land of big hearts and cheap tricks, you’ve been here for years unlike your “new” neighbour, Ari. He’s older, bigger, and intimidating, the local rockstar, and you, well, aren’t you just the sweetest girl in the whole damn city?
Make It A December To Remember - @imyourbratzdoll
AGE AND SIZE DIFFERENCE IS ADDED TO ALL! SANTA AND THE GRINCH ARE LARGER THAN THE READER! THE ELVES ARE THE SIZE OF HER PALM! (a chris evans xmas universe)
This Love Is Bad - @wildestdreamsblog
You were just trying to escape your past, and Ari was trying to chase his future.
Nowhere To Run - @sagechanoafterdark
On the last day that Steve spent in your small town before heading off to basic training for the army, he made sure it was one you wouldn’t ever forget. Years later when he appears in your town he seems like a changed man in more ways than one, but you’re ready to show him that you’ve never forgotten that day. (Dark!Steve Rogers+ Bucky Barnes)
Nice To Be Kneaded - @rogersideup
Almost every news station in the country was covering the chase for the missing superheroes post-raft-escape following the Civil War. Steve Rogers face had been plastered on the cover of every news paper, fliers stapled to street lamps, posted on bulletin boards in what felt like every coffee shop in the country. It had been just a few long months shy of a year, just long enough to grow out his hair and beard to make himself as unrecognizable as he could manage. Though he was still the poster boy of disorder within the states, he found himself in the scanty town of Greenwood in the house right next to yours.
Forever And Ever More - @syntheticavenger
Ransom Drysdale may be Boston’s most eligible Alpha who has his eyes set on you. With his inheritance hanging in the balance, he won’t take no for an answer, whether you like him or not.
Hackers Heart - @bakugousaysdie
steve rogers has always been america’s golden boy, leading earth’s mightiest heroes and serving his country. you have always been bad with boundaries, a little too curious, and an absolute disruption. you are an absolute menace,so it’s only right you fell in love with the most adored man in the country.
Arranged - @time-for-a-lullaby
Living in this life, you’ve never gotten to have much say in anything. What you wear, who you hang out with, and now, who you marry and you’re dreading your arranged marriage to the Italian mob boss, Chris Evans. Expecting to suffer through a life of abuse while being kept under lock and key, you’re pleasantly surprised when Chris is nothing like you expected. He’s the most feared man on the East Coast, only brought to his knees by one thing and one thing only. You.

Navigation | Series Masterlist
The horn sounded nice and loud, it could be heard by the people who stood on the road outside the station. It indicated that the train was now leaving CSMT and heading to its final destination. You had this trip planned out with your friends since the beginning of the year. All hotel reservations were made and all tickets were booked since this was the busiest time of the year to travel.
It was the middle of December. You had 3 different invites to 3 different weddings, an invitation to meet one of your good school friends, and a desire for a true Goa trip with your friend group. But all of that was about to go down the drain because you were standing on the platform hearing the train engines start and watching it slowly pull away. You went out to grab some hot samosas for everyone but were now panicking, “Bhaiya jaldi karo, train jaa rahi hai!” you yelled at the poor dude who was trying to hurriedly wrap the piping hot samosas. You got the black thaili, gave him a 200 rupee note, and ran off, “Chhutta rakh lena!” you said over your shoulder.
This could not be happening. It looked cute in YJHD when Naina was running behind the train, unfortunately you were not Naina. You were running after the train with your hair tied in a weird bun from the morning and were holding onto a black plastic bag with samosas in it, very much the opposite of how she looked. But then you saw it, more accurately, him. He was tall and had fluffy hair, like Bunny. But his hair was brown and he had green eyes, eyes which were filled with concern, eyes that were looking at you.
This distracted you, but when you realised the train was moving away faster, you started to sprint. Never in your life had you run faster. His one had held onto the railing, while the other was stretched out and gesturing to you. You grabbed onto his outstretched hand and jumped. This is where you mentally prayed that he would catch you, if not, you were surely gonna get jammed in between the train and the platform, get injured, or die on impact. Thankfully he did catch you. When you jumped, he reacted quite fast and pulled you with one hand and caught you by your waist with the other.
The both of you stood at the door standing incredibly close, breathing and processing what just happened.
You managed to recover and pulled away from him, his hands dropping from your wrist and waist. However, you did not notice his slightly disappointed face, which he quickly covered up.
“Thanks for..the help.” you weren’t really sure what to say. He didn’t say anything, he just kept looking at you. You started to worry that he didn’t speak English, right when he replied, “Sure, it was no problem.”
God that accent. He was definitely from Europe, maybe France. But just that one sentence got you craving for more. You wanted to hear him talk, it didn’t matter what the subject was.
The silence turned awkward, so you mumbled a final ‘thank you’ and ‘see you around’ before entering the first class A/C compartment.
You and your group of six(excluding you), had booked the train tickets separately. Two of your friends who were dating booked a coupe for themselves, and then gradually everyone else also got their tickets. You were the last to book and ended up in a cabin with 4 berths. You just hoped that whoever you would be sharing a cabin with would not bother you or make you uncomfortable.
You made your way to your friends’ compartment and gave everyone their samosas. By now it was no longer hot, just warm, but it was enjoyed nonetheless. You fell into the lively conversation and temporarily forgot about the brunette with capturing eyes and an alluring accent who saved you from missing a train. Once the clock hit 11 pm, everyone started getting ready for the night. You and your best friend went to brush and wash up for the night while the others got their beds ready. That is when you remember the mystery man.
Sarah was in the middle of brushing her teeth when you came out of the smelling washroom saying, “I nearly missed the train while getting you guys your food.”
“Wha id u o?”
“I ran like a mad woman and got saved by a stranger.” the second you finished speaking, she spit the foam out of her mouth, looked up at you, and asked you to elaborate. “Was it a guy?” you gave her a look, “Was he cute??” you gave her a more pronounced look and she started squealing. You had to cover her mouth with your hand. The train staff member who was in the other train car gave you a weird look.
You just smiled at him and dragged your toothpaste-covered friend into the a/c compartment. You gave her a towel to wipe her mouth with while she whisper-yelled more questions at you.
“The bhaiya was still wrapping the samosas, the horn went off, the train started leaving and I ran. I saw this guy, this gorgeous guy standing at the door. He held out his hand and I-” you weren’t even able to complete your sentence. ‘You had your DDLJ moment!’ Sarah squealed, jumping up and down with excitement. One thing you were glad to have in your life was Sarah. She was always happy for you, got excited for you, and uplifted you. And that is what she did. It took her five minutes of convincing before she left for her cabin with your 3 other mutual friends.
You headed back to your cabin, but this time it was not empty. A man and a woman were sitting on the berth below yours. They looked like a couple, foreigners. They looked at you, smiled, gave a nod of their head, and continued their conversation in what you guessed was French. As you shuffled around getting your bed ready another man walks, dressed in sweatpants and a tight-fitting t-shirt. It was the brunette who ‘saved’ you a few hours earlier.
Not knowing what to do, or if you should say something, you just continued making your bed in the upper berth. You realised that he also was sleeping in the upper berth when he tossed a few items up there. Once you were done, the couple’s talks died down and the woman asked, “Hi, we don’t mean to be a bother but we were wondering if you could just guide us on how to get the beds sorted. We are not exactly sure what to do.”
The brunette man had left the room, seemingly to make a call. You smiled at the woman, “Oh, no worries.” you gave her your name and she replied, “I’m Charlotte, this is my boyfriend Lorenzo.” You smiled at him and then turned your attention towards Charlotte and began explaining what to do. Both lower berths were done and soon enough the green-eyed man returned.
Charlotte said something to him in French. They knew each other. She turned to you, “and this is Charles, Enzo’s younger brother.” Even his name sounds regal. Before you could get a word in he said, “We’ve already met.” with a smile that seemed genuine. His brother gave him a questioning look and asked him in French. Charles gave a reply. It was now nearing midnight and you wanted to sleep soon. You were getting off at a station in the north of Goa, meaning you had to wake up early. Before you could head up to your berth, Charlotte asked if you could help Charles with his bed. She thanked you and then pulled her boyfriend out of the cabin and walked away, not really giving you an option.
You looked at him and he looked at you, confused. “Do you know how to set the bed?” you asked with a smile on your face. “Not really, no,” he said with a laugh, “I could use some help.” So you helped him set the bed. In the meantime, you both spoke about different things. You told him about the weddings and plans to spend as much time on the beach as possible. He told you about how one of his co-workers told him about Goa’s splendour and fun and how he and his family are spending their holiday together.
By the time the bed was set, you were sitting on your berth while he opted to stand, his height making it difficult to sit on the upper berth. It was now way past midnight. You were getting tired, though it seemed that he was wide awake. Charlotte and Lorenzo finally returned. Your conversation died down. You said that you had to get up early and were now going to sleep. They promised to keep quiet. You put your eye mask on and turned to the side letting the swaying motions of the train put you to sleep.
With the amount of excitement inside of you, you were not able to sleep for very long. You were well rested but woke up at 6 am. The three Monegasques were fast asleep (i have no idea of Charlotte’s nationality so let’s just say she is from monaco). You sat up in bed and for a good five minutes just admired the sleeping body opposite of you. You checked your phone and found out that the train was delayed by 3 hours. This was ridiculous. Apparently, a large group of animals were crossing the tracks when a train was approaching and it caused an accident.
You got out of bed and went to see if any of your friends were awake. Everyone was sleeping, except Sarah whose bed was empty. She was probably in the washroom. You decided that it was too early to do anything and so went back to your cabin, fetched your toiletry bag, freshened up, went back to bed, wrapped yourself in the itchy blanket, and opened Subway Surfers on your phone while your other hand held a cold sandwich. Your headphones played some music you had downloaded. An hour passed and you set a new high score for which you were proud. Charles woke up.
You didn’t notice at first, but he saw you as soon as his eyes opened. You looked adorable wrapped up in the cocoon of the blanket. It was when he sat up that you saw him and gave him a smile and a small wave. His cheeks turned red and he waved back. His thoughts of you at that moment ranged from pure and soft to vulgar and wild, and it all lasted for less than a second. He got up and went out. You decided that you should go and check if Sarah is awake. When you reached her cabin, her bed was still empty. Feeling lazy, you made the decision to stand by the train door and hopefully catch some cold morning wind.
Your hair went in a plait and you opened the train door which was left unlocked. The toilet door opened and out came the dreamy Monegasque. He came up to you, "Are you sure that is the safest thing to do?”
“Not really, but that’s the fun in it.” there was a sparkle in your eye when you turned your head to look at him.
“Are you even allowed to open the door?” his laugh made it clear he was fooling around with you.
“Technically no. But it wasn’t locked, so it's on them.” Your laugh sounded angelic to him. The hair which escaped your braid framed your face so beautifully, Charles could do nothing but stare at you. It took him a second to realise you were asking him something.
“Slept well?” he shook his head. “Not quite. The constant shaking made me restless.” “That happens. But eventually, you get used to it.” He asked how you slept and you answered ‘pretty good.’ He stood opposite of you resting on the wall behind him watching the wind blow your hair around as the sun began to rise. The pair marinated in comfortable silence until a staff member came and told you to move away and shut the door. The tranquil moment was broken, but neither of you wanted it to end. Without speaking a word, the two of you went inside the compartment but stayed outside your cabin.
“Well, we did speak last night but I do not know much about you.”
“In that case, what would you like to know?”
He leans against the train wall, his arms crossed, your pose mimicking his. He thinks for a second and proceeds to ask, “How often do you travel?” “Not very often,” you respond, “I sometimes go for a weekend trip to nearby hill stations, but that's usually the max I travel.”
“So no foreign trips?”
“I don’t exactly have the funds for it,” you chuckle, “between getting a visa organised, praying that my leave from work gets approved, to finding flights, I just find it not worth the effort. I would be spending three months of my salary for just 10 days of vacation which I would rather spend finishing work which equals more money.”
He seemed perplexed by your answer, confusion evident on his face. “And would I be right in assuming that you travel abroad very often?” you ask, a bit of a smirk showing. He smiles and looks down, his hair moving due to this movement. Your eyes were fixed on this as he answered, “You would.” “And why do you travel the world, Charles?”
He smiles, that lovely smile, “I-uh, I drive expensive cars for very wealthy people around the world.” You smiled, but something about that answer felt false. Like he wasn’t telling you everything, but it didn’t seem like he was lying. “Does that mean you know much about cars then?” “I’d like to think I do.”
The smiles never left either of your faces as the conversation continued. You mentioned how your brother works with different types of cars and how they are his life. “I should meet him then, test my knowledge about cars,” Charles said.
“Trust me you don’t, he gets very excited when someone mentions anything about cars. Once he starts, he does not stop.”
“Oh, I wouldn’t mind, I am a good listener.”
"Tell me something you like." the driver asked after a while of the train being halted. You looked out of the hazy window and replied, "The sun." He cocked an eyebrow. "I could go on and on about it." "Well, I did say I am a good listener," said Charles.
The conversation went on for what felt like hours. But soon enough you felt the train start to finally move. You both decided to head back to the cabin, but you were stopped when one of your friends called out to you to join them. You were disappointed, gave Charles a short apology, and followed behind your friend.
By the time you were able to go back to your cabin, the train had reached the final platform where you were getting off. You were hoping to catch a glimpse of Charles before leaving, but sadly when you returned to your cabin, it was empty save for your luggage and belongings. You gathered all of your items and met your group on the platform. The two cars which were rented for the next two weeks were there waiting for you. Everyone got in and drove off to the rest houses. You were the designated driver for Car 1, which gave you very little opportunity to think about not getting to say goodbye to Charles.
Little did you know that you would meet him once again, very soon.

Alien PETA
So in the 90s Superman animated series there was a collector of the last of any species. And that got me imagining what if there was an intergalactic endangered species protection agency?
Kal El and Kara are the “last” survivors of the Kryptonians. Living on another planet that gets attacked by other aliens all the time. This protection agency hears about it and investigates. Only to find the near extinct kryptonians doing a lot of fighting with not only invading species but also local ones. Clearly this is a hostile environment that kryptonians need to be relocated away from.
And since we’re dealing with sci-fi stuff anyway we could have them learn that Kara had been rescued from stasis on the former kryptonian colony Argo that also everyone else died on because Krypton going boom shifted Argo’s orbit and made it freeze over. However there are still lots of frozen bodies that DNA can be collected from, and so the alien cloning tech this species could be saved from the brink.
So a plan is set in motion to Relocate the survivors to a better suited environment, and use cloning to jumpstart the population. Can’t go to fast though. In past study and experience it is best for the clones to grow up naturally as possible with adult members of their species.
They try to calmly approach and talk to the Kryptonians about relocating, but just unfortunate luck has that encounter happening at the same time as an attack from some local group called an injustice league. Well clearly a more direct action will be needed.
Soon from Clark and Kara’s perspective. They had just won against the injustice league and did the arrests and start of clean up. Now it is night time and they are going to their respective homes when there is a Red light shined on them that is like that of a red star chasing their powers to drain. They try to dart away and get to cover, but not before the red light had weakens their invulnerability enough that they can get hit with what looks like height tech tranquilizer darts. Next thing they know they are together in what to them looks like a room on a transport ship.
I could have missed it but am surprised that this hasn’t been done before. Anyway let’s see what people will come up with from here. What escape plans will the cousins think of? Rescue party from the justice league?

I. Midoriya - New Beginnings
Synopsis. Stained and calloused, the commission has nurtured your palms into silent artillery and trained you to fight the wolves they throw you in with. Not at all accounting for the possibility that you too might learn to bite the hand that feeds you.
- or alternatively - in which the Hero Commission recruits YOU to go undercover as a student in UA to keep a certain class, who already seems to be a magnet for trouble, in check…
It’s safe to say you get a little more than what your briefing covered.
A story of the finding of self love, a family, and a new beginning.
Series masterlist.
Chapter warnings. emotional manipulation, Izuku Midoriya the man that you are, deku accidentally hurts the reader a LOT in this chap LMAO, more hitting deku in the nuts, silly willy class A working their magic on the reader, aizawa brining out reader’s suppressed daddy issues?! remember when I said class A shenanigans last chapter? Well, it’s worse this chapter.
Chapter synopsis. Let’s go to camp! But first, Madam President wants to speak to you again? No biggie!…
3| Training Camp: start. 11.3k words
You couldn't lie to yourself, you were nervous.
Around a half hour ago, you had received the familiar orders to head west once again. You hadn't planned to be returning for a debriefing so suddenly, much less when your mission had hardly even began. Nonetheless, you pulled on your hero suit and walked the overfamiliar dull halls of the HPSC headquarters.
Upon entering the room, you notice the president seated behind her desk with her elbows propped up and fingers interlaced before her face.
'Oh no, she's in her classic anime villain pose.' You shriek internally.
"Aeron, come closer." She orders, voice dangerously low.
Gulping, you noticed that she had skipped the traditional wishes of pleasant mornings and formal greetings. "Madam President." You acknowledge, assuring her that your attention was on what she was to speak of and no where else.
"Take a look at this," She utters and reveals a news article from the folder that lays upon her desk top. The said article discussed a student of UA being manhandled and threatened at the local mall just yesterday. "So? What do you have to say for yourself?"
A look of horror paints your face, not able to fathom what she held before your eyes. "You still read the newspaper?!"
"Aeron. Be serious for once in your life." Her eyes harden as she grits your hero alias bitterly. "Where were you?" She asks.
"With all due respect, President, I had no way of knowing this was going to happen. It's simply not possible to know of every single student's whereabouts throughout every hour of the day." You defend yourself.
"Of course not," She spits as if the words were laced with acidic lemon juice. "But it is possible when they travel in a group. Apparently most of the class was also present, call it an outing of some sort. A class you are now apart of, so I repeat: Where were you?" She drills.
Lowering your head in a state of dishonor, you feel yourself shrink at the weight of her disapproving gaze, "I wasn't informed." You mutter softly.
"You weren't invited, Aeron. That is the problem here. You must gain their trust and camaraderie so that you are made aware of these instances. An elite hero course class from a prestigious academy all in the same building, with no protection might I add. Any intelligent villain would seize this opportunity. Unfortunately, one did."
Finally gaining the courage to lift your head, you ask, "Were they harmed?"
"Thankfully, no one was. The police are launching an investigation as to why the villain solely sought out a singular student, and you are going to be of their aid."
"Of their aid?" You repeat curiously. "What might that entail?"
"Nothing that alters your current objective as of yet, at least not too much." She answers, "All we ask is that, if you find any important information, no matter how minute it may seem, you are to report it to me directly."
"Information regarding what exactly?" You inquire, still not completely comprehending what it was she was asking of you.
"Izuku Midoriya."
The moment she uttered his name into the existence of your conversation, your body instantly went on edge. There was something about that boy that had your instincts going erratic, not in the aspect where you felt yourself in danger, or rather, physical danger, but instead as if you were exploring uncharted lands. Hiking Mount Everest or sailing the Bermuda Triangle.
His aura alone was enough to intrigue you. It was asphyxiating, as if he had accumulated generations worth of energy in his still young body.
"We don't think it's anything sinister regarding the boy, but we need information so that we are caught off guard no more." She further explains. "I trust you can handle this additional weight to your objective."
Still, it pains you that you were unable to fulfill your mission's goal of keeping them safe. More so, it pains you to disappoint the blonde woman before you.
"Forgive me, Madam President. This won't happen again, I will assure it." You promise as you place your hands on your thighs and bend your body into the deepest bow you could conjure as your heart aches in the gaze of her disappointed stare, "As well as, you can count on me to relay any information regarding Izuku Midoriya directly to you, commissioner."
"See to it that it doesn't." She states, before a brief pause ensues. "Aeron, I chose you specifically because I know that you are capable of this task. You have never and will never disappoint me. In fact, I want you to take this as a mere warning."
"A warning of what, President?"
"A warning of what could happen, should you not properly integrate yourself into the coterie of aspiring heroes, in other words, should you not take this seriously. You have done nothing wrong as of yet, I just want you to expand on your efforts of befriending these students. Whether you have to fake it till you make it or not, the sooner you act, the better. When do you begin attending classes?" She ends with an inquiry.
Nodding in compliance, you answer, "It is currently summer break, but I was invited to attend the summer training camp, which should enact soon."
"Very well, I believe I have made the correct choice. Feel free to prove truth to my judgement." She tells you with finalization.
Bowing once again, this time in confirmation, you accept orderly. "Affirmative, I shall do so with pleasure." Straightening your back and looking to the woman for approval of your departure, your eyes hold nothing but the familiar gaze of an obedient child soldier.
A loyal government dog.
That fact causes a pleased smile to grace the chair woman's lips.
"UA has finished its first semester and started summer vacation." Mr. Aizawa announces, before his mercury eyes harden into narrow slits and he scrutinizes his class. "However, those of you aiming to be heroes will not receive a single day of rest. At this summer camp, we will have you striving for even greater heights. Go plus ultra and all that."
"Yes, sir!" The class yells in unison upon his dismissal and the weary teacher drags his feet across the pavement as he leaves to finalize the preparations for the trip.
"Aeron!"
At the abrupt call of your name, your head shifts to find none other than Iida hastily padding his way over to where you stood.
"As this is your very first excursion with us as a class, allow me, Tenya Iida: your new Class Representative, to extend a warm welcome your way. Of course, as much enjoyment as this will bring us, please heed Mr. Aizawa's earlier words of staying on task and sparing no effort regarding your training. As you know, training regiments are a very crucial component to-"
"Oh. Em. Gee!" A high pitched squeal interrupts his headstrong monologue, leaving the boy sputtering in its wake. "I cannot believe that Mr. Aizawa let you join us for camp. This'll be the best opportunity to get to know each other and he must have known that!"
Pink fingers gingerly gripped your arm as she tugged and swayed you every which way. Taken aback by her enthusiastic greeting, you fight the urge to pull away, nearly jumping out of your own skin at the foreign touch. In all honesty, you would've, if not for the chair woman's earlier words ringing in your ears.
Are all teenagers in this day and age so open to physical contact? You weren't sure you shared that sentiment, for the goosebumps on your arm sent your mind reeling as if her fingers would burn directly into your bones any second now.
"I don't think that is the reason he chose to invite me." You reply, your gaze bouncing repeatedly from her expression to the grip she holds you with. Though, after noticing the subtle way she faltered in her enthusiasm, your backtrack was immediate. "But, I totally agree! There's always enough time for a good time!" You mask your hesitance with forced equal vivacity.
"Right?" She agrees, "We'll play truth or dare, roast marshmallows, and have a class potluck!"
"Ahem! Ashido, it was terribly rude of you to interrupt me as I was welcoming our new comrade to our class. A favorable relationship with each other is vital to success on the battle field, you'd do well to exercise these same practices. In fact, I can tell you more about this topic if you'd like! Your personality will make this as easy as eating pie-"
"She doesn't want you to do that, Iida. I think Aeron will live without your formal greeting. Ribbit." Asui joins in the conversation, and her words do well at diminishing his intense interest in speaking to you. Though, perhaps too much. At the forlorn expression on his face, you enter a sudden state of brief panic.
'Jeez, first Ashido and now this guy... are all kids my age this sensitive? A few words are able to deter their enthusiasm? I can't allow his eagerness to make me feel welcome disappear, how will I befriend him if he decides he no longer wants to speak to me? He's the class rep, if I have him on my side, the rest are sure to follow!'
"But! It is very much appreciated, Mr. Class rep. I agree, our camaraderie definitely plays an imperial role in our pending future, which is why this is the perfect first excursion of mine with you all as a class."
"Yikes, you're sounding an awful lot like Iida there." Sero inserts himself. "Can't believe he's rubbing off on you already. What happened to the snarky overconfident chick that kicked all of our asses while talking the most shit?"
"Did I? I don't recall..." You lie.
"Don't sell yourself so short, Aeron. That shit talking was well deserved, we were getting too cocky." Kirishima adds suddenly. "With your performance during our practicals, I'm sure you'll not only better yourself this summer, but you'll totally push us to our limits as well! Don't you agree, Bakugo?"
The blond in question stood beside him, clearly not amused by the conversation being had. You could tell so by his scowl and sharp squinted eyes he pointed in your direction. Though, the only thing he releases is a coherent dissatisfied grunt.
"Hey come on, don't be rude. First meetings- or er, I guess second meetings in this case, are important! We're gonna be classmates!" Kirishima urges.
"I don't care." The blond rasps and flicks away the hand that the red head had placed onto his shoulder, "We're not here to play pretend. Besides, what you say doesn't match the look in your eyes." His words, directed at you, cause your smile to strain in its corners as you fight off the scowl that yearns to paint your lips.
Of course, he isn't wrong. But you don't need him pointing out the obvious when it's clear that the rest of the students are too oblivious to see so as well. He would only end up blowing your cover.
'Okay, I knew this guy was trouble but I didn't think he'd cause me trouble.'
"Aw, you just sound jealous Bakugo." Jirou teases, to which the boy responds with a roll of his eyes. "Still not over the broken nose?"
"Shut the hell up!"
"Ugh, whatever! What I'm most excited about is the activities we'll get to do together. Which reminds me, I've been meaning to ask you, Ronnie. What the hell is your skin care routine?!" Ashido demands the information to spill out of your mouth, her urgency clear as she shakes you by the shoulders arduously.
"Skin care rou-tine?" You articulate as best as you can whilst you are manhandled. "Wait, who is Ronnie?" You register as the girl halts her motions.
The girl giggles, "You, silly. It's a cute nickname, right?"
You eye her warily, because, a nickname? Other than Keigo, no one has ever dared to do such an intimate thing. Teenagers are weird, you realize. Or at least, the ones you have met so far. How could they, or more specifically the girl before you, behave so trustingly towards a person they've met with only once before? It was so confusing. Confusing to the point where it was stupid to you. So very stupid. The stupidest thing you've ever experienced. Stupidity at its finest.
Your cheeks are on fire.
"Y-yeah, whatever. Ronnie is fine." You reply in what was your attempt at a nonchalant tone.
"Damn right she is." Comes the atrocious voice of the smallest student in the entire school, his size only being rivaled by the principal himself. With drool spilling down his face, his small palms rub themselves together as he gawks at your exposed legs. Though, his ogling doesn't last long. Sero's leg making contact and kicking the rodent away made sure of that.
"As for my skin routine, I packed most of my products, as well as a few extras. I could show you later, if you'd like?" You offer, unsure of what else could satisfy the teen.
"That sounds amazing! Oh, if you have enough, we should totally invite the other girls too!" She adds, and then as if on cue, Uraraka begins to exclaim her excitement for the upcoming trip.
"Let's hear it for camp! Camp! Camp! Camp!"
Well, you've definitely got yourself an enthusiastic bunch. For better or for worse.
"I heard some of class A is taking extra courses! Does that mean you guys actually failed the final exam? That must be so embarrassing! Of course, I'd never know how that feels like." Yells a sudden high pitched voice, foreign to your ears. "On top of that, I've heard talk about the addition of another student to your roster. Do you guys need all the help you can get? They're probably just as much of a naturally shallow loser as the rest of your class!-"
Though, the loud blonde comes to a screeching halt in both his exaggerating movements and degrading remarks alike as he scans the crowd before him. His manic eyes, widening as they do so, land on you.
And his worst nightmare becomes a reality as his cheeks flush baby pink.
Mistaking his bashful state for a threatening glare, sizing up his opponent as he stares into your soul, you ask with an edge to your voice, "What?"
Dread then fills his features as he registers the reason as to why the butterflies in his tummy are running rampant. "Oh come on!" He stomps his feet in place alike a child. "That is so not fair! When is it our turn?! Why do they always get nice things?!" He proclaims to the sky in a vast anguish.
Before he can muster the strength to shake his fist at the clouds, a ginger arrives on the scene and chops at his neck, which causes him to face plant painfully onto the concrete beneath their feet.
"Don't mind him." She says idly as she drags him away by the back of his collar.
"Monoma's scary..." Mutters yet another foreign voice. Arriving as a pack, the only other hero course class joins your own as you patiently wait to board your busses.
"Oh, the rest of class B!"
A girl with silky dark green curls and sharp teeth that glint with her smile greets the crowd before her. "Hey, it's nice to see you guys outside of the sports festival. I guess now, we're technically not rivals any longer." She teases, before her serpent eyes land on your figure. "And a new face? A nice change of pace, I've gotta admit." She drawls and extends a palm in your direction. "The name is Setsuna Tokage. It's a pleasure to meet you. Sorry about Monoma, he can be a little much at times, but luckily Kendo is here to keep him in check."
Placing your palm in hers, you both give each other a steady shake. "Aeron." You say and release your grip. "The pleasure's all mine. Give kendo my gratitude, will you?"
Her eyes briefly flash with recognition and she smiles widely with poorly masked astonishment. "Will do, Aeron."
"Time to get on the bus!" Kendo yells by the bus doors.
"Ah, it looks like there's our cue. We'll see you guys at camp." Tokage bids you farewell.
"Class A and class B?" Mineta mutters as he wipes at his sliver with his arm. "It's like a buffet of bombshells."
"Dude. Get yourself together before Aizawa leaves you here." Kirishima scolds.
Iida takes the initiative as a proper class president should and moves the class along. "Attention class A, our bus is here! Everyone line up in seating order! Aeron, you can sit beside me as you don't have an official student number yet!"
"You guys never listen to me..." Iida murmurs as he woefully overlooks the arrangement in which his classmates sit in, noticeably arbitrarily rather than the formal order he prefers.
"He drew, what?!" You screech.
"Deserved." Bakugo declares from his seat aways away.
Kaminari cackles in his seat, hand repeatedly slapping the red head beside him. "I still have the pictures!"
"We all actually took a turn at writing on your face." Kirishima says, his beaming smile never faltering even at the dull look you point at him.
"I drew a heart!" Uraraka announces from the seat in front of you. "You're surprisingly a very deep sleeper."
"I'm usually not... I was just really tired because of my quirk." You explain and punctuate your sentence with a groan. "Kaminari, give me your fucking phone."
"Language." Iida mutters, "There are a million different ways to word that sentence."
"Kaminari, give me your damn phone."
"Still not good enough." Aizawa adds from his seat at the front.
"Kaminari. Give. Me. Your. Phone." You grit.
"No way, Jose!" He squeals and shoves the device in his pants. Who the hell is Jose? "This is peak blackmail material, I'm guarding this shit with my life."
"I give up. Say whatever you want." Iida sighs exasperatedly.
"On the bright side, I felt really bad and decided to wipe it all off of your face before you woke up." Midoriya reassures you, sitting beside his class president and clutching his notebook to his chest. "Which reminds me, you said that you're usually not such a deep sleeper, but because of your quirk, which I'm assuming you're referring to your quirk usage, you didn't feel a thing when every one of us took a turn at doodling on your face. This can only be just one of the many drawbacks such a powerful quirk has to wield, am I right? Do you mind telling me more about the drawbacks and what comes after you've reached those limits? And what about the manifestation of each power that Vitality grants you, where does all of that energy even go? Do you receive the energy or does it simply dissipate into the air? I'm assuming it's the former, since the energy you consume is not invisible, so we surely would be able to see it floating about in the air. What would happen if you were to overload your body with too much of that energy? Would it be too much to handle, which would cause your body to explode? If so, did you have to train your body to reach a certain stage to be able to handle and maintain such extreme amounts-"
"Please. Stop. Talking." You grimace, already feeling the incoming migraine you'd have to deal with for the rest of the day, forcing your fingers to rub at your temples in search for comfort.
"Speaking of pictures, this is officially our first road trip we will take as a class!" Uraraka announces, twisting and squirming in her seat in what you guessed to be excitement. "I mean yeah, it's not that long of a drive, but still."
"That has nothing to do with pictures, Ochako. Ribbit."
"We should definitely take a picture to commemorate this day. You'll thank me when we graduate." She replies. "What do you guys say?"
"Well, I suppose a photo would be fine. As long as you get my good side..." Todoroki murmurs uncertainly, shifting his head so that only his right side was visible.
"Got it!" The brunette readily agrees, "Okay, start posing." She directs the class, extending her arm so that every classmate was in view of her... flip phone.
"What is that..." You murmur. "An ancient relic?..."
Bakugo audibly gags from the back of the bus at the sight, and you can see the surprise coating the features of both Iida and Yaoyaorozu from where you sit.
Seeing her classmates reactions and very obviously having endured this situation before, Uraraka simply rolls her eyes. "Oh come on, guys. No need to clutch your pearls. There is no way you guys were this sheltered growing up."
Ashido titters nervously and swoops in to take the reigns, "How about we use my cellphone instead?" She insists, already slipping her pink device into the rosy cheeked girl's palms, who only grumbles in compliance.
"But when these become a trend later, I'll have the last laugh. You'll see."
"Okay! Poses and count down can begin now!" Mina instructs, plopping back into her seat beside you and unexpectedly throwing her arm around the back of your neck.
"How insulting that you assume I am not always in a pose fit for a candid photo!" Aoyama exclaims, standing from his seat and placing one hand on his hip and the other interlaced in his lustrous mane.
"One!" Uraraka begins, smart phone in hand.
The sight of Aoyama standing causes a spike of urgency to force an audible gasp out of Iida and lift himself from where he sat. "No one should be standing! That is a safety hazard, please stay seated!" He demands, arms slicing through the stuffy bus air. Ashido doesn't hesitate to take the countdown as her cue to further your intimacy by gathering the fat of your cheeks into her palms and squishing your lips into a pout.
"Two!"
Iida's abrupt stance creates the awkward chain of events of Midoriya stumbling out of his seat and flailing his arms about, before accepting his fate and submitting to his fall backward, whilst Tokoyami hastily attempts to block Bakugo's rude hand gesture towards the camera.
"Three!"
Yaoyaorozu and Jirou had moved to create a conjoined heart, while a contradicting Sero forms a circle and allows Kaminari to stick his finger in the said circle. Leaving poor Kirishima to watch in pure red-head fashioned horror.
And just as Uraraka's finger presses the screen to capture what was supposed to be a wholesome moment to looked back on in the far future, Midoriya's falling body crashes into your own. Hard. Though, perhaps it is more fitting to say Midoriya's very very thick skull slammed into your face with as much velocity as what you guessed the bus you currently rode in was moving at.
'Click'
Squealing, Uraraka goes to admire the picture she has just taken... only for her face to lose its vivacity dramatically. "This is why we can't have nice things." The girl whispers to her frog friend beside her.
"Holy shit." You utter, clutching a palm to your face. The instant the boy's head collided with your face, a sharp pain shot through the length of your nose.
"Ow." He mutters and rubs the back of his head, not appearing to have been too affected by the collision. Though, upon twisting his neck and gazing at whatever, or whoever, had broken his fall, his face filled with the utmost amount of dread. "I am so sorry, Aeron!"
"Why is your damn head so hard?" You groan nasally, squeezing your eyes shut before you feel the warm trickle above your lip morph into a thick stream. Almost as if your lips were mountains, and your blood ardent rivers in search for oceans.
"I warned you guys about arising from your seats," Iida scolds like a disappointed parent, before the vibrant crimson comes into view and the boy begins to panic as well. "Aeron! Your nose! Don't worry, I always come prepared and carry tissues... though, they are in my bag and those bags seem to be at the back of the bus... Mr. Aizawa, permission to traverse the back of the bus for my tissues?"
"This is such a rare Deku W?" Bakugo murmurs to himself, staring at his palms conflicted on if he should praise these events or call his classmate out on his annoying clumsiness.
"Are you okay, Ronnie? That's a lot of blood you're losing..." Ashido points out.
"Again, I am very sorry, Aeron! It was truthfully an accident." Midoriya pleads in your direction, palms slapping together as he proclaims how he should have been more careful.
"Ugh," You groan in pain, "It's fine Midoriya, it's just a nose bleed." You grumble, and truthfully, your hands ached to deal him the same damage he had just done to you, though you gathered that you bore some portion of the fault as well. Afterall, you were getting a little too comfortable with your peers, which resulted in your guard slowly disappearing, hence why you weren't in the right mind to dodge the literal human body hurling your way.
"Yes, but I know how painful nose bleeds can be in the first couple of minutes that follow after the impact." He adds.
"I've been through worse."
"That doesn't mean this wouldn't hurt, I know how hard my head is from experience!"
"Again, it's just a nose bleed. I get these all the time, I can handle-"
Lifting himself from his own seat up front, the scruffy man sluggishly makes his way towards where you sit. "Alright, I'll handle this. Midoriya get back in your seat before you cause anymore accidents." Aizawa instructs, to which the boy apologizes once more and adheres to his teacher's words.
With your lashes fluttering and lids lifting at the feeling of a new presence before you, you are met with the pale man with dark features that you had stood face to face with not that long ago, only this time instead of a feline-like grin after he informed you of how he planned to have your first activity with your new class be to beat them unconscious in their finals, he wore a displeased frown. The creases in between his brows spoke the words he likely would never utter aloud, though not out of cruelness, but because that was simply the way he was.
You are a great judge of character, you know how to read people, the skill being one of the first taught to you as a child. So, it was a given that upon your first meeting with this man, the lack of presence from that inherent skill had frightened you. You could not read this man then.
But now?
You wished you couldn't understand what those creases wrote onto his skin. You wished that those skills would just cease to exist, in fact, perhaps they had. Perhaps that was why those creases told you that he was worried. Perhaps they were wrong.
It truly was a minor nose bleed, you could tell so by the lack of pulsing in your skull. You know he had to have known that, he is a trained Pro after all. So why are those creases, the downward curl of his lip, and his softening irises proclaiming empathy?
Did it hurt him to see you hurt? It'd be a cold day in hell before you would ever allow yourself to believe that.
"Don't tilt your head back, it'll only make it worse." He informs you, and it's only then that you notice the first aid kit in his hands. Taking out the gauze pads, his index and thumb gently grip the bridge of your nose, giving him a better view of your wound. "It doesn't look or feel broken, so it's likely just a simple nose bleed cause by the blunt impact of Midoriya's dense head."
The boy in topic rambles further profound series of apologies, but his words go through one ear and out the other as you stare dumbfounded at the man before you. For some reason, the delicate way your teacher handed your injury was causing something in your chest to ache and eyes to soften.
His touch is so gentle.
"Right." You say.
Dabbing your skin with the soft tissues, he cradles your face and tilts your head for inspection. Once he deems you cleanly enough, he hands you the rest of the gauze and lifts himself from the ground. And just as you think he was fed up with coddling you, you are graced with two soft pats on the top of your head.
"There, that should be enough for now. Let me know if it continues to bleed." He offers, and walks himself back to his seat the front of the bus.
"Thank you, Mr. Aizawa." You whisper, still only half present.
"Aeron?" Midoriya calls, effectively snapping you out of your daze.
"What?" You snap.
The boy lowers his head in guilt, "I really am sorry. I never meant to hurt you." He apologizes yet again, and his big doe eyes make it difficult to maintain eye contact.
"Whatever, Midoriya. I already told you it's fine." You turn your gaze away, "As long as Bakugo didn't pay you for that, all is forgiven."
"Definitely not! Kacchan wouldn't waste his money like that! He'd probably rather do it himself." He chuckles.
"Good, then you'll live to see another day."
A nervous huff and a wry smile is all he offers after, "Right, thanks."
Not really wanting to socialize any more than you already had, you turn back in your seat, pondering what the fuck just happened and why did all these feelings transpire within you at the mere touch of a concerned adult?
'The bar is in hell... and so is my dignity.'
Squinting at the bright rays cascading from the scintillating ball of gas in the sky that bombarded your surroundings, you hopped off the bus and onto firm dirt. And despite the heat that soaked into your skin, you embraced it with open arms.
The sun had always felt rejuvenating to your body and psyche; being part of your quirk, simply lying in the sunlight or under the moon was always a way to recharge your soul. You couldn't count the amount of nights that nightmares kept you away from slumber, and more likely than not, on those very nights, you would end up sitting on the terrace back in your pent house and speaking to the man in the moon as if it was an old friend.
Groaning and stretching your arms high above your head, you take in the surroundings of the rest stop Aizawa had decided to make use of. It looked as if you were on a cliff boarded by short logs of wood, greenery several feet below where you stood.
...Not a toilet, convince store, or even a place to sit in sight. Though, what did catch your eye was the black car parked randomly parked adjacent to the bus you had rode here.
"I'm so hungry." You mumbled as the rest of the class joins you outside of the bus.
"Finally, I needed to get off of that thing!" Kaminari complains as he begins to perform a set of squats. "My ass is killing me."
"Let me get through, I've gotta pee!" Mineta yells as he races around searching for any suitable place to relieve himself.
"How's your nose, Aeron?" Uraraka asks as she stands before you.
"Yeah, Midoriya looks hard headed." Jirou adds.
Clutching his hands together, the freckled boy wails, "Again I'm so sorry, I didn't catch myself fast enough! It was an accident I sw-"
"We get it, Midoriya. It's getting old." You wave the boy off. His persistence almost drawing a chuckle out of you.
"Also, you didn't catch yourself at all, Midoriya." Asui comments.
Inspecting his surroundings, Kirishima cautiously notes, "This isn't much of a rest area."
"Not really, and where's class B?" Jirou asks.
"You don't actually think we stopped here just so you could stretch your legs, right?" Aizawa asks rhetorically with his hands in his pockets.
'How is he not dying with that big ass scarf on?'
The sound of multiple car doors opening and a feminine voice causes all of your heads to snap the other way, "Heya, Eraser."
"Long time no see." The teacher greets, lowering his head briefly in respect. Two young women both donning cat ears, paws, and tails step out of the vehicle.
"You can call us, 'The Wild Wild Pussy Cats'!" They both announce enthusiastically.
You stifle a yawn as your teacher begins to explain their presence, "These are the Pro Heroes you'll be working with at the summer training camp."
'Never heard of them-'
"They're a four person hero team who specialize in mountain side rescues! The Pussy Cats were founded when we were kids, like forever ago!" Midoriya explains with an excited blush on his face.
'-never mind, thank you Midoriya.'
"This marks their twelfth year working as a-" The boy continues, before a heavy white paw envelopes his face, effectively halting his rant.
"I'm pretty darn sure your math must be off." The hero named Pixie Bob refutes, her face inching closer to the boy with a menacing expression. "I'm eighteen at heart <3"
"...Understood." Midoriya utters from beneath her paw.
"Everyone, say hello. Don't be rude." Aizawa commands.
"Hello, nice to meet you." The class murmurs in unison.
"We own this whole stretch of land out here, everything your eyes can see. The summer camp you guys are staying at is down there." Mandalay explains, pointing a manicured paw towards the green field you overlooked. "Just at the base of this mountain."
"That's far!"
"Then why did we stop all the way up here?" Uraraka naively asks, "It's not like you guys expect us to run all the way there, right?" She offers with a laugh.
"Oh, you sweet summer child. You've just jinxed us." You realize.
"What? No that can't be right." Sato denies your implications. "Please, tell me that's not right..."
Sero chuckles nervously, pivoting on his right foot. "Very funny guys. Now, let's get back on the bus. Now. Please."
"G-good idea, let's go load up." Kaminari agrees as he too turns to escape this nightmare.
With a conniving smirk stitching itself onto her face, Mandalay purrs, "It's currently nine thirty in the morning... so, if you're fast enough, you might make it there by noon."
"No way!" Kirishima shrieks in disbelief.
"Holy crap!" Mina exclaims in horror.
Kaminari spins on his heel and dashes towards the bus doors, nearly tripping over his own laces in the process, "Save yourselves!"
"Can't we at least have a pre-torture snack? How the hell are we supposed to get down there if we're running on zero fumes?" You ask.
"You don't need food as fuel because of your quirk. Use the sun, Aeron." Aizawa answers.
"Kitties who don't make it there before by twelve thirty won't get any lunch." Mandalay adds.
"You both are downright evil!" You wail.
Aizawa stands as stagnant as usual, not at all being affected by his student's cries of anguish. "You guys should have known this from the very beginning. The moment you stepped foot on that bus..."
Before any of your classmates could have even reached the doors, Pixie Bob puts her cat-like agility to good use and terminates their attempts by leaping before them and showcasing her claws.
"The training camp has already begun."
Placing both paws on the ground, her palms emit an azure blue glow that mirrors the shade of her eyes. Suddenly, the ground beneath you begins to crumble and you realize you are descending multiple feet in the air.
"What the hell?!" Uraraka shrieks.
"She's controlling the ground!" Midoriya realizes.
"Yeah, no shit Sherlock!" You grit his way.
As you plummet, you quickly realize that you would need to find an opening or conjure up a way to break your fall. Although your sight is heavily obstructed by the pounds of dirt, you manage to guess at which point you expect to reach the ground.
Shifting yourself so that the impact would hurt you less, you touch the floor with a simple roll and a grunt.
Sighing heavily in relief, you start, "Oh thank gosh, that would have really hurt-" Though you aren't allowed to finish your victory cry before a body crashes into yours. Effectively breaking its fall.
"Oh, that wasn't so bad." Midoriya comments, his eyes remaining squeezed shut from the freight. "The floor is actually find of soft-"
"Oh you are so doing this on purpose." You accuse from under him. "Do you hate me?"
The boy open his eyes in panic at the sound of your voice, registering just who had softened his fall... once again. "Oh, no no no! This can't be happening, I swear to All Might I would never-"
He doesn't finish his sentence due to his world getting flipped upside down. Literally. You grab onto the back of his shirt and thrust him before you, forcing him to lay on his back harshly as you stand over him.
"Ouch." He whines.
"Since this is private land, you can use your quirk as much as you want to!" Mandalay announces from the top of the cliff. "You've got three full hours! You should be able to make it to the facility in that time... that is, if you can make it through the Beast's forest."
Facing the forest in topic, you gaze into the dark abyss of nothing but dirt and a mass amount of thick and tall trees. "How big is the beast that it needs an entire forest?" You ask dubiously.
"That name sounds right out of a fantasy game. I'm assuming we don't get any power ups?" Kaminari suggests.
"We've got quirks, idiot." Jirou answers, "Still, why do we keep falling for Aizawa's stupid tricks?"
"I wonder how much I'd win if I sued..." Uraraka wonders, glaring at the forest as if it'd simply toss her the money in terror.
"Give me a call if you need a statement." You offer absentmindedly, inspecting the forest thoroughly.
"I guess there's no use in complaining, we might as well move our asses." Kirishima adds, dusting himself off and counting the bruises he'd already garnered.
A purple blur sprints past you and into the unexplored land. "I've gotta piss, I've gotta piss, I've gotta piss. I've held it and didn't spill a single leak!" Mineta yells and makes it well into the forest, before yielding at a deep rumbling growl.
A grey monster made entirely out of the dirt around it bears its teeth at your group and stands on all fours. There were no eyes visible, though it had rippling sculpted muscles and stood tall within the leaves.
"We're all gonna die!" Sero and Kaminari screech in unison, both of their jaws nearly touching the ground beneath them.
Mineta stood directly before the beast, and in noticing the small human, the beast lifts its right arm and goes to slash at his body.
"Please calm yourself, my giant friend!" Koda begins to yell as he runs towards them with tears threatening to drip down his cheeks. "You don't wanna hurt any of us!"
Though, before it could even ghost the boy's skin, you bolt forwards and slide onto the dirt, kicking him out of its reach. Forcing yourself to roll with him in order to avoid contact with the strike, you grasp his body and clutch him near you as you slam against the trunk of a tree.
Exhaling in relief, you begin to mutter. "Damn it Eraser, you're really going to put me to work."
'Koji Koda. His quirk is anivoice, and it allows the user to communicate with and command animals through speech. It would have worked, if only this thing was actually an animal. It is purely a lump of dirt being manipulated by... Pixie Bob. This has to be that cat's quirk.' You conclude.
Leering over you and bearing its tusks once again, the monster reels its arm back once again, attempting to immobilize you a second time.
"You've got to be kidding me." You groan.
Without hesitation, you materialize your energy and shape it into a long sturdy spear, using the shaft to slice through the arm raining down on you. When you realize you are being given a struggle, you decide to apply even more energy into your weapon, causing it to heat up slightly. Providing for a clean cut all the way through the shoulder.
"They're not as strong as they look," You conclude.
As the claw hits the ground, you suddenly sense the same aura you've sensed before. The one that never fails to give you goosebumps at its mere activation.
This was the aura of a charging force.
'Izuku Midoriya.'
He stands just aways away from where you sit on the ground, hot pink marks painting his skin and cool green miniature lightning surrounding his body.
Frost follows after, centering from the dial toned boy behind you, sprouting until it reaches the monster you had momentarily stalled and imprisoning its legs.
"Reciproburst!" The class president yells, storming towards the beast with his engines hot and ready to slice through the other arm. Which it does flawlessly.
"Die!" Bakugo exclaims, lunging himself at the being with sparks flittering around his palms. Creating a powerful explosion, the blond obliterates the left leg into pieces, threatening its balance and causing it to tip over.
A crystalline opening for the final blow is made.
"Smash!" That blow being taken by none other than the freckled boy itching to put his power to good use, striking the monster right in the chest, dispersing it into thin air.
"Wow!" Sato exclaims after a few seconds of collective silence, "You guys defeated that beast in an instant!" He praises.
"You did it!" Sero joins.
"Yeah, they did it... and I did it too..." Mineta mumbles, on the brink of losing consciousness due to the shock, though that doesn't halt his attempt at thrusting himself into your arms hoping to be coddled.
"You did Jack shit but piss your pants." You grit, dodging his embrace and allowing him to fall face first onto the ground. "That was close." You exhale, replaying the memory of his near death experience.
"It seems we make a great team, Aeron." Iida tells you with a soft smile, walking towards you and offering his hand.
"Maybe, but you guys did most of the work." You reply, accepting his offering and joining him in standing. "And I might've just gotten peed on in return."
"You were the first to act in a moment of crisis, and you saved a fellow classmate. Unfortunately, a slightly damp classmate at that." He grimaces at the thought, though his warm grin returns once again upon gazing at you. "Great first day as a member of class A, if you ask me. Well done."
Your heart just squeezed.
With eyes that have softened in their corners, you panic for a suitable response to answer him with. "Thanks, Iida."
Unfortunately, your brief moment of acceptance is cut short when your instincts alert you. Rumbling can be felt in the pattern of stomps and another roar bellows through the forest.
"They're coming."
Jirou immediately places her headphones onto the ground and listens for the origins of the sounds. "There and there." She mutters, pointing a single finger at the sky and another to her left.
"Up above?!" Kaminari cries, "Where'd you get that from?!"
The sound of wings flapping only confirm her suspicions, rendering the blond silent in fear.
"Hey come on, how many are there?" Sero asks, looking every which way in paranoia.
"What should we do? Run away?!" Ashido asks.
"As if." Bakugo answers.
"Guys, if we don't make it to the facility by noon, we won't get lunch." Sato reminds you all.
"Then that settles it." You state, preparing for the incoming ambush.
"We have no choice but to get through here and take the shortest route." Yaoyorozu declares.
"Ribbit."
"All right, move out class A!" Iida announces, readying his stance.
Utilizing his quirk, Shoji joins Jirou on gathering as much information as he can on the monsters whereabouts. "Three up ahead and two each on either side!"
"Eight total. They're coming!"
As your class begins to apprehend and disembody the creatures, you pause to analyze the situation further. Something was not making sense.
'One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six. Seven.' You count internally and discern the beasts movements. 'The rest of the class is taking care of seven, but where the hell is the eighth?' You ask yourself, recalculating to confirm that you truly were missing a monster.
'I doubt those two would miscalculate, this is their field of expertise. So if those dirt monsters are all around us on the ground, and some are able to occupy the sky, then that means...' Your gaze darts to the ground, scanning for any abnormal behavior.
'Crack'
"There!" You exclaim, scrutinizing the breach of solidified dirt.
Focusing your physical energy into your fist, you throw yourself onto the ground and slam it down. Again. And again. And again. Fist pulsing with pain, blood, and power before a portion of the ground you stand on caves in, allowing you to catch a glimpse of the monster attempting to launch a sneak attack on your class.
"Come out into the light, snake. It's over." You taunt. In response, the ground crumbles as the monster unveils itself, roaring with displeasure. It stood well into the air and bounded towards you.
Escaping in the opposite direction, you place your feet onto a tree trunk and leap before you take hold of a thick branch. Making use of your upper body strength to climb atop and calculate your next move.
'The neck.' You decide.
This particular monster had three rib cage like tusks that guarded the nape of its neck.
"Bingo."
Channeling your inner Levi Ackerman, you lift yourself on the branch and sprint towards the monster before leaping onto its body, landing on it's back. Climbing upwards as you dodge its spiky tail that swung your way, you conjure up another long spear, jabbing it into its neck and taking ahold of the other end before you launch yourself onto the ground and drag the blade down its solid neck as you plummet.
Landing on the ground once again, the monster's head lolls to the side. "Implosive Daggers." You murmur, and squeeze your right eye shut. With the utmost precision, you shoot blades of energy towards the other side of the creatures neck before its head detaches and crashes on the ground. "Bullseye." You praise yourself, pursed smile forming on your lips at your victory.
"This is fun." You decide.
Training camp - Day 1; 5:20 PM
"This is so not fun."
Lugging yourself forward, you donned multiple scrapes and scratches as you struggled to keep your eyes open. You nose was even dripping crimson due to the exertion your training had implemented.
With the sun descending in the sky and the trees obstructing it's rays, you had no way to replenish your quirk. The only option was to use that of the students around you but unfortunately for you, they needed theirs just as greatly as you did. That much was noticeable, as they were in no better shape than you.
"Ha! The litter is here!"
"That took longer than expected."
Stepping into the light, you notice all three heroes waiting patiently in front of the building you slowly inch closer towards. Uraraka dangles off of your left side as she clutchs her mouth and stomach in nausea.
"You said it would only be like, three hours!" Sero exclaims as Sato and Kirishima drop to the ground behind him.
"Oh no..." The pink cheeked girl in your arms murmurs before she too drops to the floor, only this time, to relieve herself of her breakfast. Alarmed, you quickly tuck her hair behind her ears and awkwardly pat her back.
"I guess we timed it based on how long it'd take us, sorry!" Mandalay explains.
"You are so not sorry." Ashido grumbles.
"And now you're bragging about how much better you are? That's so mean!" Sato whines.
"I'm starving. This is hell!" Kirishima complains as he no longer fights to open his eyelids. Uraraka, stomach now newly emptied, juts a thumb up in agreement.
"We missed lunch, I don't know if my life insurance covers starvation." You ponder aloud, standing up from where you crouched.
"I don't even have insurance." Ojiro mumbles.
"Meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow!" Pixie Bob exclaims with a pair of manicured paws covering her face.
'She reminds me of Kitty when Keigo forgets to feed her.' You think.
"I thought it would take you kids even longer! But, you did much better against my dirt monsters than I thought you would." She praises before she lowers her voice. "You guys were seriously great." Wiggling her claws before her, she exclaims "Especially... the five of you! It seems like you've had quite the bit of experience." She pauses for dramatic effect before launching herself forwards. "I call dibs on these kittens! They're puuurrfect!"
You weren't really paying attention to the hero, though she gives you no choice but to pay her heed as she appears before you and four other students.
Bakugo groans in annoyance, "The hell, lady?!" He grunts and shields himself with his arms.
"I just wanna nap!" You whine childishly as you cover your face with your palms.
"Endure! Do not let yourself be taken by this COUGAR!" Iida motivated, his stance mimicking that of the blond beside him.
"I am very uncomfy right now!" Midoriya states, eyes squeezed shut and body folding inwards.
"When are you feeding us?" Todoroki asks through his palms as he too hides behind his fingers.
"...Mandalay, has she always been like this? Please get her away from my children." Aizawa asks the woman beside him.
"It's gotten worse lately, she's at the age to take a mate." The Pro Hero answers apologetically.
"Is that supposed to make me feel better?"
"Uhm! Speaking of people's ages-" The freckled boy beside you starts, before getting a paw to the face.
"Choose your next words carefully boy..."
"I've just been wondering since we got here earlier. Whose child is that?" Midoriya mumbles from under the triggered woman's claws, pointing in the direction of a small dispirited boy in a red hat.
The question startled Mandalay as if she had forgotten the child was even behind her, "Oh! This little guy is my cousin's son, he lives with us now." She gestures to the immobile boy, "Don't be shy, Kota. Say hi to everyone. You're gonna be around them for the next week." She gently encourages.
Midoriya, gaining confidence, strides up to the young boy and smiles gently. "Hey there, my name is Midoriya. I'm from the UA High School hero course." He bends forward and offers a hand to shake. "It's nice to meet you!"
The boy stares at his outstretched hand, before quietly reeling his right arm back and thrusting his clenched fist into Midoriya's crotch. The action causes the boy's knees to buckle and a wail of pain to slip from his lips.
Iida, utterly appalled at the assault, moves to catch Midoriya before he can fully tip forward. "What a low blow! You fiend of a child! A punch to the scrotum is unforgivable!"
Kota halts his leave and slowly pivots his neck to glare directly into the class representatives eyes. "The last thing I wanna do is hang with some wannabe heroes!"
"Wannabe?! Do you know who I am? How old are you kid?!"
The interaction causes you to snort involuntarily before covering your mouth with your palms.
"Did you teach him that?" Todoroki asks, obviously referring to the same move you pulled on the same green haired boy during the practical exams.
"Puh-lease, that strike was juvenile. I have technique." You reply, to which the boy cracks a smile.
"You've gotta admit, that brat's got spunk." Bakugo comments, promptly ignoring your previous topic.
"He's like a mini version of you." Todoroki states.
You hum in consideration, "But cuter."
Unsurprisingly, your comments enrage the blonde. "What are you talking about?! You need to shut your mouths before I blast you both all the way to hell!" He threatens inching closer to your faces.
"Yeah, sure." Todoroki deadpans.
"...Definitely cuter." You grimace.
"Enough playing around." Your teacher directs. "Get your stuff off of the bus. Once your bags are in your rooms, we'll have dinner in the cafeteria. After that you can bathe and sleep. Tomorrow your training starts in earnest, you better get a move on." He ends, pointing a thumb in the direction of the building.
"Thank you for the food!"
Your eyes glimmered like stardust at the amount of dishes before you. Never in your life had you been allowed to feast in such a way, and from what you could gather, you were to plate the delicious meal yourself!
Slowly, almost hesitantly, you place your chopsticks into your hand, picking up a slice of the pork cutlet sitting in front of you and placing it onto your tongue.
Immediately, the combined flavors erupt in your mouth with each chew, and a squeal escapes you. In a matter of seconds, your mouth was filled to the brim with everything edible within your sight.
"Aeron, you're drooling." Jirou informs you.
"I really don't give a shit, right now." Comes your half-audible reply. "I'm gonna sleep so good after this." The food is so good, you're almost brought to tears.
"Speaking of, Sero said the guys room is huge!" Mina exclaims.
"Can't be that much bigger than ours right?" You ask, feeling the warmth of your miso soup trickle down your throat.
"I wonder if I can sue for sexism..." Uraraka mutters.
"...let's not."
Mandalay enters the cafeteria, hands donned in a pair of baby pink oven mittens with minuscule kitten paws littered on them. A brown cardboard box laid upon her palms. "Alright, we've got dessert. I know it's early in the meal, but considering how spent you guys are on your very first day, we've decided to cut you guys some slack." She announces.
She then places the container onto the table, coincidentally directly in front of you.
Her first mistake.
"Aeron, you're drooling again." Apparently, it was not just your imagination, as Jirou once again informs you.
As she lifts the top off of the box, it's as if the gates of heaven themselves have opened just for you with how intense the dessert shines in your eyes. A ten inch vanilla cake frosted with fluffy white whipped cream. Vibrant rosy strawberries embezzled the rim and you swore you could feel your saliva pooling at your ankles as you ogled the sweet dish before you.
"That's...cake." You whispered.
"Uhm, yeah?" Ashido giggles at your reaction. "You're acting like you've never eaten cake before."
"And strawberries?" You ask, head tilting slightly as you inspect every detail your eye can catch. Grabbing the silver knife that was placed on the plate, your arm slowly inches towards your desired baked good. "I need it. Now."
"Ronnie, you're scaring me." Ashido trembles next to you, peering warily at your predatory gaze.
Carefully crafting yourself a slice, you place a piece onto your plate.
The supple skin of the ruby colored berries whispered your name in a siren like melody. Calling upon you to taste whatever it had to offer. Giving into temptation, the pads of your fingers lift the fruit towards your mouth and with your eyes shut, your teeth pierce it's delicacy.
Saccharine but tangy juices envelope your taste glands, creating a harmony you've never felt before.
"Oh wow, she has literal hearts in her eyes."
Squealing once again in bliss, you vigorously shovel the rest of the dessert into your mouth. You're about to pull your cellphone out to inform the person dearest to you about the stash of gold you have just stumbled upon, before you feel your energy deplete rapidly. "...Uh oh." You whimper and face plant directly onto the dish before you.
Splat!
"..."
"..."
"..."
Every student in the vicinity ceases their movements and noises in favor of directing their attention to your form. Nobody dares to be the first to act... well, no one except a green haired boy fearing the worst.
"Oh my gosh?! SHE'S DEAD!"
Unsurprisingly, his exclamation creates a ripple effect of chaos and panic within his peers.
Making his entrance, your teacher makes his way towards your seat, arms out in an effort to quell the madness. "Calm yourselves." He says in his usual monotone voice.
Upon reaching your table, he gently places his palms on either side of your head and lifts it, revealing your soft face coated in fluffy cream. "Pass me a napkin, please." He asks the pink girl beside him, to which she hastily complies. His fingers tenderly cleanse your silk like skin which he begins to inspect. "She's just sleeping." He reassures.
Sighs of relief float throughout the room at his confirmation. The girl beside you takes the chance to gaze at your sleeping form, only to gasp in astonishment.
"Her sun mark... it's a moon now." She mentions.
"And it's glowing, like when she activates her quirk." Uraraka adds.
Aizawa himself examines the dainty crescent shape painted between your brows. "The sun has gone down, so she can't count on it recharging her, should she have the need. Fortunately, the moon is a great substitute. It also glows when she sleeps, since that is another method in which she can regain her energy." He explains.
"Come to think of it, I do recall it doing the same when she slept after our practical exam." Yaoyorozu adds.
"So that's why she kept saying that she needed a nap!" Kaminari realizes.
"Her quirk most likely forced her body to shut down for the time being since she still hasn't had the time to regain any energy. I'm guessing she didn't steal any of your stamina in the forest?" He asks and looks to the group around him for confirmation. "I thought so. It's fine, she just needs rest. Did she eat enough?" He asks the girls around you, to which they nod. "Good. Allow her to rest for the remainder of dinner. Afterwards, wake her so that she can bathe." The teacher instructs as he lightly places both of your cheeks down onto the table, your soft breathing beginning to fill the air. "Where is her uniform blazer?"
"Oh! We took them off when we unpacked earlier. They're back in our rooms." Uraraka explains.
"Great," He replies sarcastically, "Does anyone have their blazer that is currently not in use?"
Not giving anyone else a chance, someone immediately answers. "She can have mine, sir!" Midoriya offers at the other end of the table. "It's the least I could do, considering the amount of blood she lost because of me. And I fell on her. And I immediately assumed she was dead. And-"
"Okay, thank you, Midoriya." Aizawa cuts the boy off before he could begin another rant. Taking the offering, your teacher drapes the coat over your back, effectively keeping you snug for your nap. "Alright, continue, and don't bother her. If I see any of you pulling out another washable marker, you can kiss the hot springs goodbye, rugrats."
Only once she assures that he is out of sight, Ashido slips her phone out of her skirt pocket. "He didn't say anything about taking selfies with her." She explains with a mischievous giggle.
"Oh! Try the cat filter!" Uraraka exclaims.
"Take some on mine too, yeah?" Jirou asks as she passes her own electronic to her friend. Many other students following her lead.
You are so fucked when it comes to blackmail material.
Steam billows in pools around your naked forms, muscles relaxing and minds quieting down.
It has been a while since you felt so serene, allowing your brain to cleanse itself of any restlessness thoughts. With your hair neatly tied away from your face, you were free of any obstruction that prevented you from voicing thoughts you normally wouldn't voice aloud.
That explains the questionable topic of conversation.
"I usually apply my socks and then one shoe at a time while tying them as I slip them on." Yaoyorozu explains.
"What?" You mutter, your eyes remaining shut in relaxation. "That sounds complicated. I feel like putting on both socks first, and then both shoes, and then tying them afterwards is easier."
"But, that just sounds wrong." Tsuyu adds. "Why stop your application during each step? I'd usually go for putting on my sock, shoe, and then tying my laces before I start on the next foot."
"You see, this is why I prefer to wear sandals." Uraraka sighs.
"Objection, sandals are so not in season!" Hagakure counters.
"Uhm, objection, it's summer. That's prime sandal season." The brunette replies.
"Okay, but I'm talking about the sandals you wear. The really strappy ones." Hagakure describes, "They make my feet sweat just looking at them." She grimaces.
"When else would I wear them?"
"Those are for when you want to show off your pedicure indoors! You know, in the A/C."
"I think I make them work." Uraraka tilts her nose up in poise.
"You do!" Hagakure agrees, "But we can hear you from a mile away with the rubber sliding against your sweaty feet!" She finishes, causing your group to laugh at the thought.
"Let's talk about something other than feet." Yaoyorozu suggests, "How about we play a game?"
"Ooh!" Ashido chimes in excitement, "How about Kiss, Mary, Kill."
"How do you play?" You ask.
"You've never played before?" Jirou tilts her head in question, to which you shake yours in response.
"Basically, we give you three names of three random people. You choose which you would rather kiss, marry, or kill. Of course, not literally. Just for shits and giggles."
This game sounds unlike any you have ever heard before, which is honestly surprising, considering it seems like a game Keigo would have surely mentioned if he had even heard about it in passing.
"Ah! I'll go first." Hagakure volunteers, "Mineta, Sero, and... hm. Midoriya?"
"I thought we were gonna go with anime characters..." Jirou mumbles dejectedly.
"Those are my only choices?" You ask.
"Yup!" Ashido answers.
"I chose the last one specifically for you, Aeron!"
You sputter, "What? Midoriya? Why?"
You hear the invisible girl giggle, "Because after how much he roughed you up today, I'm dying to know your opinion on your new classmate."
"Okay..." You drawl dubiously, "Well, I'd probably kill Mineta... not literally, of course. Because killing is like, illegal. And I would never do that." You make sure to establish that lie. "And then I'd probably marry Sero."
"What?!" The girls shriek in unison.
"Why did you 'what?!' that? This isn't literal." You repeat their earlier explanations.
"We just want to know why. Sorry, any answer from you would have garnered the same reaction." Yaoyorozu explains.
You hum in contemplation. "Well, I've noticed that Sero goes out of his way to halt as many of Mineta's perverted attempts to make us uncomfortable. I find that admirable."
"Oh, that makes sense." Ashido agrees.
"So, you'd kiss Deku?" Uraraka asks hesitantly.
You sigh in resignation, "Yeah, if the situation had, for some reason, called for that. I'd kill Mineta, marry Sero, and kiss Midoriya. Just cause the guy has bruised me up a bit doesn't mean I'd wish death upon him."
Ashido squeals, "Ronnie! You're so admirable!" She praises as she scoots closer to you and places her head on your shoulder.
Your face contorts in confusion, "I- don't understand..."
"Just go with it." Hagakure mutters in your direction.
A distinct wail suddenly resounds from the other side of the wooden wall, snatching all of your attention. Looking towards the wall, you notice that atop of the very high ledge, stood Kota, the moody kid who had assaulted Midoriya's crotch earlier today.
"Before you become a hero, you should learn how to act like a decent human being." He states.
"Who did he clock?" Ashido asks, noticing that he was speaking to someone on the other side of the hot spring.
The boy's side of the hot spring.
"Mineta really is the worst, isn't he?" Asui calls out to the small boy, clearly having been through similar situations in the past since she didn't seem so surprised.
"Thanks so much Kota, babe!"
The boy instinctively turns towards the voices offering him their thanks, though he realizes in hindsight that wasn't such a great idea, considering the shock he felt at the sight. With pink cheeks and wide eyes, the boy yelps and begins to fall back towards the other side of the wall - your heart dropping at the sight.
"Gotcha!" Midoriya's voice was heard through the wooden wall.
After a brief moment of silence, you hesitantly wade towards the end of the spring, fearing the answer to your question. "Uhm, is he okay?" You call out.
"Yeah! He's fine!" Midoriya answers, "Well, kind of. I caught him before he reached the ground, but he must have passed out from the shock of... the fall. Yeah, he was shocked about the fall. I'll just take him to Mandalay, now."
"Good job, Deku!" Uraraka praises.
Yaoyorozu looks around warily, before she clutches her arms around her chest. "We should probably head on out now. We need all the rest we can get before we start early training tomorrow. Plus, I just feel uncomfortable now."
"Agreed. Given how relaxing this soak has been, I'm even more sleepy than earlier." You add.
At the rest of the girl's agreement, you all gathered your towels and belongings, heading to your designated cabin for rest.
"Before we go, here's the real Kiss, Marry, or Kill scenario." Ashido says ominously, "Satoru Gojo, Mikasa Ackerman, or Shoto Todoroki."
"Why is Todoroki amongst our choices? He's not an anime character." Jirou asks.
"Because he's Todoroki."
"...fair enough."
"I'd rather just kiss the hell out of Mikasa Ackerman." You answer, not wasting anymore time on the game and heading out.
"Heavy on that part, Aeron." Uraraka agrees and follows behind you.
Upon entering your shared cabin, you slip into your usual silk pajama set, feeling like the sleepwear was heaven sent on your freshly bathed skin. Lying your futons on the ground, all seven of you decided to lay in a rectangle, with your heads at the center. Surrendering to your body's needs, you plop onto your sheets and allow your eyelids to flutter shut. All the girls doing the same, wanting as much shut eye as Aizawa allows.
That night, a strange feeling clouds your amygdala. Still indescribable to yourself, you wonder what exactly that emotion is. It creates upheaval within a specific corner of your heart, as if someone had decided to light the candle implanted within you.
A glowing ember, which allows you better sight of something you had yet to reach. The warmth accompanying you along your journey to that destination. You knew you hadn't arrived, nor were you nearing. But you didn't mind, in fact you supposed you could enjoy the ride to whatever awaited you.
Slumber found you nearly effortlessly that night.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this batch! I hope you’re enjoying the story so far, see you in the next update!
Ps: this week’s episode was so good, everyone go say thank you to studio bones and horikoshi for gifting us with so much izuku midoriya.

Summary: This is an ABO Bad batch!Poly x Omega Reader smut with a plot. This takes place as an AU before order 66. Y/N previously served under the 501st before being transferred to Special Forces 99. This is her adventure with these rowdy Alphas in a quickly changing universe.
THIS IS AN ABO AU ABOUT THE BAD BATCH (NO CANON OMEGA!) Due to the unfortunate situation of her name being Omega… Omega the child from the canon series is not going to be apart of this fanfic/porn with a plot. I feel obligated to put this warning in because it makes my skin crawl thinking anyone could make that mistake.
Warnings: Kidnapping, themes of Non!Con! beware, canon type violence, Y/N badassery, murder, Crosshair is turned on by Y/N committing murder, sorry but we know he would be, I don't make the rules I just enforce them.
I don't know why I loved writing this chapter so much it was so fun like imagining and creating a civilization in the star wars vibes. Also having a tiny homage to slave Leia iconic outfit lol don't mind me.

Still recovering from your heat, this long ride to wherever the Mimbanese were taking you was wearing you down. You shifted uncomfortably, feeling incredibly sore between your thighs, not to mention the pain in the rest of your body. Having four alphas at your disposal for a week had done sinful things to your poor body.
To say you were sore was an understatement.
Now your back was starting to hurt as his rifle bit into your spine with every gallop.
You had planned to lounge around for a few days before expecting to properly get back on your feet, but your plans had been derailed and now you were in the hands of a stranger and a strange people.
You were aware of the fact you were experiencing anxiety, but the last remaining embers of your heart still licked at your hindbrain dulling your senses a bit. All you could think about were your alphas.
They must be so worried.
~~~
The red clay earth rapidly changed, and soon a lush jungle neared you. The other riders sped up, forcing a tight formation as the animals approached an opening in the jungle wall. As you passed through, you noticed the flora and fauna matched the red and oranges of the mud fields too. Over the thundering sound of hooves, you could hear bird species screeching in the trees above and a rustling as the leaves danced in the wind.
You were trying to take everything in knowing this information may serve in your escape.
It didn’t take long for you to reach a clearing.
Upon approach, you watched the jungle reveal a massive stone wall that seemed to go on forever. You gawked as massive gates opened, allowing the war party to pass through before closing behind you with a massive locking mechanism falling into place.
You looked around, noticing villagers everywhere watching you strangely as the clan leader continued on his path to wherever he was taking you. You looked nothing like them; you were positive that's why they were staring so intensely. Then you realized the clan leader was taking you somewhere specific.
Up ahead, there was another tall wall inside the perimeter wall. More guards opened up the double doors, and you gasped.
Inside, there was a massive temple surrounded by gardens and billowing trees taller than those in the jungle outside the city.
All around these grounds were other females clad in crimson fabrics pausing what they were doing to watch you.
The Clan leader trotted to a stop, allowing you to take in the sight in its totality.
You were suddenly lifted from the saddle and settled into the grass below.
You looked around frantically, trying to find a potential escape, but you were greeted by other women… some human… you looked at them confused before they parted, making room for a smaller Mimban elder who scuttled over to you. You sucked in a breath as she approached.
She exchanged some words with the clan leader, who bowed his head in respect to the woman. She pushed forward, analyzing you with a scrutinizing eye. The clan leader then seemed to be explaining his actions while gesturing to you.
You swallowed thickly, feeling your anxiety eclipse whatever numbness you might of had.
She then took your hand into hers and studied the bruises around your wrist. You were certain those belonged to Tech. Then she clicked her tongue as she moved your collar to see Crosshair’s love bites.
She turned to the other women and said something before turning back to the temple. Very quickly, they flocked to you. You squeaked as they gently pushed you to follow the elderly woman, suddenly running their hands over your own in a friendly manner.
"Where are you taking me?" You asked, hoping they might understand basic.
One of the human girls whispered, "Don’t worry, you’ll be okay. It’s safe here."
You just looked at her, studying her face. It was painted with red designs, and her hair was plated back, showing off her dainty neck and collarbones. She donned a flowing red dress with luxurious-looking fabrics showing off her pale skin.
"Where is here?" You asked as the temple entrance approached. "I want to go home. Tell them to take me back to my pack."
"Are you mated?" She asked, taking your hand.
You shook your head no.
"Then you’re better off here," she nodded.
"But my alphas…" You whined, stepping inside the ancient building. The stone walls instantly made the temperature drop ten degrees and you shivered.
"They’ll understand soon," she gave you a sweet smile, taking the lead bringing you to the heart of the temple grounds.
~~~
"We gotta follow them!" Wrecker roared, feeling like his insides were being torn apart.
Like his brothers, he was horrified to watch you be wrenched from them. Taken from the nest with brute force.
"We are, Wrecker!" Tech snarled, looking at his data pad.
"They just took her! They fucking took her!" Crosshair was losing his mind. For the sniper engineered to be patient and still, it seemed his alpha instincts overrode his basic programming. He couldn’t deny the way his skin crawled with worry.
"What do they want with her?" Wrecker winced. "Why would they take Y/N?"
"I don’t even want to think about that," Crosshair hissed as his thoughts went to the absolute worst.
"Do you have their position?" Echo asked, looking to Tech.
"I do." He showed everyone his datapad. During the struggle, when he realized you were being taken from them, he slipped a tracker onto one of the guards. "It seems they took her to a city called Alise."
"How far?" Hunter growled.
"A few hours on foot," Tech replied, doing the math in his head, “We might be able to get there by sun down.”
"Let’s pack up and get moving," Hunter sprung into action.
They geared up and restocked their supplies before following the endless sets of hoof marks in the clay earth. Crosshair and Hunter hadn’t seen anything when they scouted a few days ago. He was hoping Tech’s info was correct.
~~~
"I- Ah!" You screamed as the Mimbanese women plunged you under the warm bathwater. You came back up coughing and sputtering, trying to wipe your eyes to see.
They had brought you to a natural hot spring inside the temple, and without warning, had stripped you down to your birthday suit. You didn’t even have time to feel embarrassed before you were being guided to the water, where they swarmed you with various scrubbing tools and soaps.
You looked up at the girl who had spoken to you moments before, but she just curled up on a fabric draped lounger with her friend while they talked, as if you weren’t being waterboarded by strangers just a few mere feet away.
You looked around, noticing there were only women here. The temple seemed to be a sacred space of sorts, as more of that same fabric was draped around the columns and ceilings. The floors were covered in red carpets, and lounging furniture was littered everywhere.
A warm cloth was brought to your skin as some sort of exfoliating cream was buffed into your flesh. More skilled hands worked some hair cleanser into your scalp. You fought back a sigh. It felt really nice to have someone else clean you.
It’s not like your alphas didn’t care for you, but they’re still men at the end of the day, and their hair washing skills were limited.
The warmed mineral water was doing wonders for your soreness. If anything, that made this a little enjoyable you felt yourself disarm a bit at their touch.
When they were satisfied with the job, they helped you out before cleaning themselves. You were brought over to the girl from before, and she stood up, extending a hand to you. You wrapped the crimson fabric around yourself a little tighter as she led you out to one of the windows. Here, were multiple vanity tables with mirrors and various creams and potions. She sat you down as her friend perched herself on the stool next to you with a kind smile.
"What is your name?" She asked, picking up a wooden comb from the table.
"I’m Y/N," you said quietly.
"Hi Y/N, I’m Taryn," she then gestured to her friend who had golden hair, "That’s Starla.”
"Where am I?" You asked, rubbing the fabric wrapping over your damp face.
"The city is called Alise," Taryn said, moving your hair to your back as she started gently running the comb through your tangled locks, "But this place is called the fortress." She waved the comb around at the temple.
"Why was I taken?" You shivered, fighting back tears. The only thing you wanted was to be in the arms of your alphas in your comforting nest right now.
"Tarook said he found you in the mud fields?" Taryn said, watching you nod in confirmation. "Anywhere outside the fortress isn’t safe for the women. They built this place to keep us safe."
"What’s in the mud fields?" You asked.
"Monsters," Starla said gravely, and you gasped.
Taryn gave her a disapproving look, "The men keep us safe here. They bring us everything we could need. There’s no need to worry."
"Can I leave?" You asked, and Taryn just eyed you through the mirror.
That was a no, you guessed.
"Who are these women?" You looked around.
"The elders, mothers, and the unmated," Starla said, "This place is a sacred site to their religion, but they use it now to protect us from the outside."
"Do the men ever come here?"
"Partners, sure. But not unless they’re mated. This place is just for us."
Taryn finished off a simple braid going down the back of your head and tied off the ends before standing to get Starla’s help finding you something new to wear. When they came back, they held various pieces of crimson fabric, and they got to work wrapping you in it.
You were thankful they covered your private bits, but the rest they let be exposed. The pieces all flowed into a skirt but left large slits on both sides trailing all the way up to your hips. The Mimban breeze blew the fabric softly and teased your legs.
You looked in the mirror, hardly recognizing yourself. You couldn’t remember the last time you had a dress on nonetheless something like this. You felt like one of the pin ups on in five’s bunk.
"So you blend in," Starla smiled and grabbed one of the pots on the vanity. She dunked her fingers in the red paste and brought it over to your face where she drew two thick lines from under your eyes all the way down your cheeks to your neck.
"You have an alpha?" She asked, noticing the love bites decorating your shoulder.
"Four. Actually," you were hit with sudden sadness, hoping you get to see them again.
"Four?" Starla’s eyes widened in shock but slightly impressed.
"Well, actually, there’s a fifth, but he’s platonic," you sighed, fighting back tears.
"Tarook took you from them?" She asked, a little horrified.
You nodded, "They tried to stop him, but there were too many."
Starla looked to Taryn, who looked a little distraught at the idea.
"That would explain these," Taryn picked up your wrist gently.
"I had just gotten through my heat when I was taken from them," you felt a tear slip, "I just want to go home." You gave them your best begging eyes hoping they’d take pity on you.
They sighed, sympathizing but in the end nothing came of it.
"I’m wondering if Tarook thought you had been hurt," she turned over your bruised wrists, "He might be strict, but he does care for us."
"My alphas are warriors. They can be a little rough, but they’d never hurt me," you sighed, pulling your wrists back and holding them close to your heart, "I don’t understand why your leader would do this."
"The fields are close to the Alooke," Taryn said.
"The Alooke?" You hadn’t heard that word before.
"They’re a clan of monsters," Starla whispered, "They’ve been terrorizing Mimban for generations. Alise was built to keep them out. They came from a nearby star system and have been taking the Mimbanese and killing them for sport."
"If you’re taken. You don’t come back," Taryn sighed.
You swallowed thickly, wondering how lucky you had been for the past two weeks.
"They particularly target women and children," Starla said, gesturing to all of the women moving about the temple, "That’s why they built the fortress."
"But you’re prisoners," you whispered.
"It’s better than the alternative, and we’re treated well."
You sighed in frustration. This was archaic, no matter the reasoning. A cage was still a cage regardless of title.
You had to get out of here. Alooke be damned.
"Will you show me around?" You asked, watching some of the elders locking arms and walking through the various corridors. You needed to learn this place and learn it fast if you were going to make an escape.
"Sure," they smiled and did the same. The three of you left the bathhouse to explore the inner city.
It was a lot larger than you had realized.
The inner city had multiple temples and many smaller private living domiciles. They showed you their rooms that they share with a few other human girls on the upper floor of the smaller western temple.
Between these ancient buildings, the gardens flowed along with a river that cut through the center of the city. The inner city was big enough you couldn’t see the walls from the other side. It gave the illusion that you weren’t trapped in a cage. It seemed like two thousand women resided here from what you estimated. They all wore the same color and had similar face paintings.
They seemed to be content. They laughed and gathered playing games you had never seen before in the little grass areas. There was an abundance of fruiting trees and gardens.
It almost seemed… like a utopia? No wonder they had no desire so leave.
Starla and Taryn found an empty bench under a huge tree and plucked a few fruits from a nearby basket handing one to you. It was a perfectly ripe meiloorun.
"Women from outside Mimban usually have an occupation," Taryn said, biting into the juicy fruit, "What do you do?"
“I’m a medic for the Grand Army of the Republic," you bit into the fruit, moaning at how sweet it was. You hadn’t had a fresh meiloorun in years, and the GAR ration packs tasted nothing like this, "I was stationed with the 501st battalion for a few years since the start of the war, then I transferred to my unit now. They’re a small group of commando soldiers. We’re sent on special missions that the other soldiers can’t do."
"Wow," Starla said in wonder, "So you’ve been all over the galaxy?"
You nodded, "I’ve been to many places. Each a little stranger than the next," you laughed quietly.
"Do you enjoy it?" Taryn asked with a hint of skepticism, "It sounds dangerous."
"Sure it’s dangerous," you smiled, remembering all of the adventures you’ve been on, "We’ve encountered pretty much anything you could think of. It is kind of nice not being shot at, I’ll admit. But I love my boys, and they work really hard for the GAR."
"War is hard," Starla sighed.
"It is," you agreed, "How did you both end up here?"
"My family was trying to flee Separatist occupation when I was brought here as a child," Starla explained, "The Alooke took them, and the elders took me in and raised me here."
"Similar story for me too. My family tried to rebuild a new life here when the Separatists showed up to try and start up a mining operation. Republic forces got us out in time. My mother is mated and lives in the outer ring with my father," she gestured to the gates.
“You know the GAR?” you asked.
Taryn nodded. “The clones, right?”
“Yeah,” you smiled.
“Brave warriors,” she nodded.
“I wonder if it was my boys,” you laughed. “What color were their armor?”
“Green,” she reminisced.
“Ahh no, that wasn’t us.”
“How crazy would that have been,” she smiled, taking your hand and resting it in her lap.
As the crimson moon rose, the inner city of Alise was cast into eerie darkness. Torches and lanterns were lit to keep the gardens out of darkness. You were all summoned to dinner with a sound bell ringing from the main temple.
You and your new friends made your way through the gardens before stepping up the temple steps to wash your feet and hands before entering.
Once inside, you smiled seeing how many women of all ages gathered, including children. They played music, danced, and sung while the others ate. It was shocking to see, but nonetheless, it made you happy. There weren’t many places in the universe like this you realized.
Starla grabbed your hand and led you over to where the prepared food was. It consisted of some things you’d never seen before, but she eagerly filled your plate before her own and marched you three over to a pile of stacked pillows to lounge on and watch the festivities.
“Is it always like this?” you asked, digging into the delicious food.
“Yeah,” Taryn smiled. “We have a very close community.”
“I can tell,” you smiled. Okay, fine, maybe Mimban wasn’t so bad. You were slapping yourself for being too judgmental. It must be the hormones.
~~~
"I don't see her," Crosshair remarked, peering down his scope at the massive city below. The rocky hillside they perched on provided a perfect view over the jungle.
"There are two rings," Tech informed, looking at his data pad. "The inner ring has ancient Jedi temples. I think she'd be in the outer ring; that seems to be where the villagers live."
"Jedi?" Wrecker asked, pulling out his scope.
"Yes, that's what I said," Tech replied, grabbing his own to peer down.
"Notice anything strange about this town?" Crosshair drawled clearly noticing something.
"What..." Hunter zoomed in with his lenses.
"There are only men," Crosshair observed, moving his scope to survey the rest of the city.
"Where are the women?" Hunter asked noticing the crowd in the streets is only men.
"What's that?" Wrecker asked, ignoring Hunter's question.
"What's what?" Hunter looked to Wrecker.
"The temples," Wrecker zoomed in. "There are people walking around."
Crosshair honed in on the flickering lanterns of the temple. "The women…”
They all adjusted their macro binoculars to focus on the inner city. That's when they saw all of the women happily skipping towards the main temple grounds, holding hands and dancing to what they assumed was music. They were covered head to toe in crimson, looking joyous and happy.
"She has to be there," Hunter declared.
"Assuming the clan leader isn't holding her hostage himself," Crosshair added, not entirely convinced.
"I don't think he would," Tech interjected, reading through the information about the Mimabnese. "I think Alise was built to protect their women. It says here that they have a long history of battling off a pirate stronghold called the Alooke. The pirates colonized this land and have been enemies of the indigenous for many generations, stealing their women for breeding."
Hunter didn’t like the sound of that one bit…
"So, you think they're keeping her in that temple?" Crosshair asked, looking through the various corridors from the outside. He couldn't really tell the difference between the various females; they were all wearing the same thing.
"Most likely," Tech affirmed.
"Alright, let's get moving before—"
Crosshair cut off Hunter, "We got movement in the north."
On the other side of the city, a dust cloud formed in the distance. Upon closer inspection, they noticed dozens of speeders making their way from the direction of the Marauder.
"You don't think they found our ship, do you?" Echo was getting a little worried now.
"It would be likely," Tech informed. "I'm guessing it's those pirates."
"They didn't bother us for two weeks. I don't think it's reasonable to think they'd start today of all days," Hunter watched them heading full speed for the city.
"What did that guy say to us earlier?" Echo narrowed his eyes through his binoculars before turning to face his squad. "He said that this place was no place for a female. Then he took Y/N…”
"Don't remind me," Hunter said, growing angry.
"No, I think he knew they'd come."
Crosshair crossed his arms. "We were sitting ducks for two weeks. If they were going to raid us and take Y/N, they would have done it already."
"Not if they didn't know she was there," Echo pointed out.
Suddenly, they realized you barely left the ship because of how upset you had been after the crash. The only time you had left was to help push the ship in the earlier days.
Echo pointed to the city again, "You saw their reaction when she popped her head out. They were shocked, and they had been watching us for who knows how long before I noticed."
"You think they saw her go into the city?" Hunter asked.
"She was fresh out of heat. No doubt they're hunting her scent trail," Echo's mechanical heart started beating a little faster, realizing you had probably unintentionally led them right to the hidden city.
"Why would they attack the city? It's massively fortified," Crosshair noted, observing all of the sentries patrolling the upper rim of the walls and the guard towers looking outwards. There were only two gates, one on the north end and one on the south. The place was like the citadel. "They'll sustain massive casualties."
Echo shrugged. "Maybe for an omega, they would risk it?"
"Then we need to go," Hunter stood up, grabbing his pack. “Now."
~~~
You smiled, holding hands with the little girl who led you around the dance floor. You didn’t know why the little Twi'lek girl picked you, but you couldn’t deny her. Her mother seemed content letting her play with you, so you just smiled and followed her lead.
Starla and Taryn clapped along with the music, giggling as they watched you enjoy yourself.
When the song was over, it seemed that everyone was eager to retire to bed.
The girls walked with you back to where you’d be staying with them until the this whole thing can be resolved.
Once inside the large converted bedroom, they helped you build a pallet of pillows and blankets like their own by the breezy airway.
You washed up before bed in one of the metal basins, and Starla helped you take the pins out of your hair, freeing your now dry and clean locks.
With a quiet goodnight, you curled up on the pallet and pulled the woven blanket up over you.
You sighed, feeling a bit of anxiety over the whole situation. Dinner was a good distraction, but now that you were left to listen to the river down below and the call of the night birds, you were left with your own thoughts.
Were your alphas coming for you? Were they already here? Or were they injured in the struggle?
What if they needed you to heal them and you weren’t there? You were starting to feel the tears again as the pull of your heart pained in your chest. You knew they were coming.
They always came for you.
You tried your hardest to find a comfortable spot that would allow you to close your eyes and try to forget the situation you were in, but you couldn’t help but hear some kind of commotion outside.
It was like there was a shift in energy, and it forced you up into a seated position. You looked around at the other girls, but they seemed to be comfortably asleep, not hearing what you were.
Something made the hair stand up on the back of your neck as you tried your hardest to listen. You wished you had Hunter’s hearing, but whatever was making your body alert, you knew it wasn’t good.
Standing up, you wrapped the blanket around yourself and stepped out from under the cover of the marble columns onto the exposed patio. Your hair whipped around in the breeze as you looked out over the inner city.
The torches and lanterns danced in the breeze, casting orange light everywhere. That's when you noticed something moving in the distance: the wall just off to the right had guards jogging back and forth, guns in hand.
You narrowed your eyes, making sure you were seeing the right thing, when you felt Starla near, rubbing her eyes and approaching you. “Are you okay?” she whispered.
“Something’s wrong,” you replied, pointing to the wall guards.
She squinted her eyes, trying to see in the dark. When she realized the guards were not in their normal watch positions, she gasped and skittered back into the room, waking Taryn.
Was it your alphas? You wondered, feeling a bit of hope fill your chest. They were coming to rescue you from this gilded cage.
Taryn awoke a little grumbly, but her attitude changed when she finally saw what was happening.
“There’s been a breach,” her eyes widened like saucers. “Go warn the others,” she turned to Starla, who sprinted out of the room.
“What do we do?” you asked, stepping back from the patio and back into the bedroom.
“We hide,” she said, leading the way to a red carpet hanging on the wall.
“Do you have weapons?” you asked.
She just gave you a look.
“This place is so ass-backwards,” you shook your head and followed her as she lifted back the tapestry, revealing a narrow passageway.
From beyond the stone walls, you heard a loud warning siren go off, letting you know Starla was successful. The blonde came running back shortly after, squeezing into the passageway with the two of you.
Just beyond the narrow pass was a small room with a candle and matches, which Taryn lit to light up the room.
From inside, you could see the ancient carvings from a time long ago. It seemed like a meditation room if you were correct. There were star maps of the entire galaxy and ancient primordial beings that seemed to be carefully depicting the beginning of the Jedi.
You’d seen this particular mural before on Coruscant… This place was a Jedi temple?
Your thoughts were cut short by the sound of blaster fire.
The two girls yelped upon hearing it, but you were just trying to figure out how many guns were firing. It was way more than five, you deduced. It wasn’t your boys; that was for certain.
This was something else entirely.
“We need weapons,” you whispered.
“We’ll be fine,” Taryn held Starla close, trying to console the girl. “They’ve never made it to the inner city before.”
“We don’t even know how to use blasters,” Starla trembled.
“Well, I do. We won’t last long without them if whoever that is out there is as bad as you say they are,” you were listening to the gunfire and the screaming.
These were all sounds you were used to, and something was telling you this was no normal siege. It was starting to sound like the front lines of Felucia.
“They won’t find us here,” Taryn’s tone was confident despite her panicked features.
You just sighed and leaned against the wall, waiting for the blasters to silence.
~~~
Hunter was panting heavily by the time they made it to the outer wall. “The pirates have drawn their fire. Let’s get up there before they come back,” he said.
Crosshair loaded a repelling cable into firepuncher and pulled the trigger, watching it latch onto the rim of the upper wall.
Quickly, the five soldiers scaled the wall like they had hundreds of times before. Hunter hauled himself up first, checking if the coast was clear. When it was, he motioned for the others to swing over the edge, grouping up into formation as they jogged in the opposite direction of the action.
Just as Crosshair had said, there were only men in the outer ring, and they all seemed keen on grabbing their weapons to join the fight.
From what they could see from the wall, the pirates managed to make it past the blockades with some kind of repurposed Separatist battering ram. It must have been left over from a previous battle.
“Over here!” Echo called out, finding a stone stairway that led down into the city below. They began quickly running down the large flight of stairs. That was until the battering ram sounded again.
“They’ve breached the inner city,” Tech said, using his infrared to see how many pirates were trying to rush the guards into the temple grounds. Luckily, most of them were being held back by the Mimbanese, and only a small handful slipped through.
“We need to hurry,” Echo urged.
~~~
The noises suddenly changed when you heard a massive pounding. It sounded like metal on metal, and you knew they were going for the massive doors protecting the inner city.
“They’re coming,” you said, slipping out of the shelter to confirm your suspicion. Taryn tried to grab you, but you were too fast. Nudging past the tapestry, you jogged over to the balcony, peeking out slightly just to see the gate had been basically disintegrated, and the guards were openly firing against a horde of what you could tell were pirates—the Alooke.
Running back to the safe place, you very carefully arranged the tapestry back to normal as you slipped back inside.
“They’re inside,” you whispered, blowing out the candle, leaving you in total darkness.
Starla started whimpering like a scared pup. You put your hand on her shoulder, trying to quiet her, but it wasn’t helping much.
You flinched when you heard women’s screams echo throughout the hall and knew they had infiltrated the temple and they were close.
It wasn’t long before they’d kick down your door. You just prayed they would move on and not notice your hiding spot.
You closed your eyes, saying a silent prayer to the Maker, hoping they’d take mercy on you.
You jumped when you heard the wood of your bedroom door smash open into the stone wall with a bone chilling bang.
Taryn covered Starla's mouth with her hand, keeping her silent. You took a deep breath, trying to still the racing adrenaline in your body so you could hear over the pounding in your ears.
You heard the man tear apart the room, throwing everything around, growling as he yanked apart the bed pallets frustrated.
“I can smell you… Omega,” he rumbled, making your stomach drop. “I know you’re in here. I know you’re close…”
He continued destroying the room, knocking over the furniture and smashing the pottery of flowers, and you cursed yourself for not thinking about the fact you were totally unmedicated and nothing was suppressing your scent. You were positive it was pungent.
“I smell alpha on you too,” he chuckled, “too bad he’s not here to save you,” he threatened.
You heard his boots getting closer to the tapestry as he rooted around in the box of body jewelry next to your hiding spot.
You looked to the two cowering girls. You knew what you had to do. You knew it was a matter of time before he discovered you. At least if you acted now, you’d have the element of surprise.
Leaning forward, you grabbed the metal candlestick and flipped it upside down before returning to the narrow passageway.
Taryn tried to plead with you, but you just shook your head, trying to convey that you had a plan… kind of… you knew Hunter was absolutely going to chew you a new one if he ever found out you were this dumb.
Nudging the tapestry aside, you saw the ugly creature prowling around the center of the room, admiring all the gold shiny jewelry he had found.
Adjusting your grip slightly on the candle holder, you crept forwards silently, leaving the safety of your hiding spot and approached him in practiced silence.
Rearing back, you went to make the swing and brought down your makeshift club hard, connecting with his wrinkly head. He let out a bark and doubled over, feeling his blood start to rush from the injury.
You raised your arm again to finish the job. He was quick enough to spin around and grab your wrist, holding the weapon. You yelped as he squeezed, forcing you to drop it.
“There you are!” he spat, “Nice of you to come out. You’ll do well. Onka will be pleased to have a new toy.” His free hand shot out to grab at your throat, and something in that moment changed, and suddenly your weeks of combat training kicked in like instinct.
With a growl, you dodged his hand and used your knee to hit him in the gut. He grunted and tried to wrangle you again, but this time you spun around and used your weight to roll him over your back onto the wooden lounging table. He let go of your wrist as he collided with the hard surface, forcing his back into a painful arch with a pop.
You backed up and arched your leg into a high kick, bringing down your heel to his sternum. You heard a crack and knew you hit your target. The man wailed in agony, gripping at his chest as it was no doubt broken.
It was loud enough. Another man entered the room curiously to find you standing over his comrade. You only had a second to react before he rushed you. Grabbing a large metal dish Starla used to hold her combs, you reared that thing back before whipping it across the pursuer's face.
He snapped to the side, spinning around, trying to recover from the strike.
His cheek was bleeding, and you were panting. Thankful for the freedom of movement this makeshift dress offered, you got back into a fighting stance, waiting for his move.
“An omega that can fight,” he sneered, raising his fists, “That’s new.”
“You have no idea,” you adjusted your grip on the plate.
He narrowed his eyes, studying you before he flinched. You decided he was taking too long to make a move and flung the plate at him like a frisbee, watching it connect with his neck. He stumbled back, shocked and struggling to breathe, when you launched yourself at him like a wild tooka.
Just like Hunter had showed you, you leaped up onto him, wrapping your bare legs around his shoulder and chest before twisting yourself down, taking him with you.
Hunter always told you that because you’re smaller, you have to bring the fight down to the ground if you want a chance at winning. You knew you had to keep this man on the ground or else he could over power you.
You rolled, throwing him into a spin on the ground. He grunted and reached out, grabbing your bare ankle, yanking you down with him. He tried crawling over you, but you kicked him in the side of the face, hearing his jaw snap viciously.
You crawled away, grabbing one of Taryn’s hair forks, holding it like a shiv.
When he tried to grab you again, you spun on him, driving the fork into his arm and twisted, hearing him scream in agony.
Just as you thought you were making some headway, the one from before got up, grabbed you by the hair, dragging you out onto the balcony and away from his friend. You screamed, feeling the burning pain as he yanked on your locks mercilessly.
“You’re one hell of a problem, aren’t you, sweetheart!” he grabbed your neck, squeezing it harshly. You scrambled and clawed at him feeling the oxygen start to leave you.
You spat at him, watching it land on his face and drip down his scaly cheek.
“Feisty,” his friend laughed, pulling the fork from his arm and letting it fall with a clatter.
The other let go of your hair to wipe his face off.
“I’m fucking her first before we give her to Onka.” He snarled, “fucking payback for the struggle.”
You bared your teeth and he just laughed spinning you around forcing you over the balcony railing at the hip. You kicked back connecting with this shin making him howl. He grabbed your hair again, smashing your face into the stone roughly.
“Damn bitch!” He started running his hand over your hip before reaching the high slit in your dress.
Just as you thought it was all over, you heard the sound of a single blaster shot and the tell tale sound of a body hitting the ground.
You couldn’t see what was happening but you nearly cried when you heard a familiar voice.
“Fucking drop her.” Crosshair’s menacing voice cut through the air like a vibroblade.
You were suddenly yanked up and whipped around, being used as a human shield. In front of you, you sighed in relief upon seeing Crosshair’s mask and firepuncher aimed right at your attacker. He slowly approached, stepping over the dead pirate.
You felt dull metal being pressed to your head, and you knew it was a blaster. “Don’t come any closer,” the pirate warned.
Crosshair stopped his advance and stood scarily still.
“Is this the alpha I could smell on you earlier, sweetheart?” He leaned down to whisper in your ear, “What a pretty little thing you are, so many men fighting to have you.”
Normally, you would have been frightened to be in a situation like this, but looking at Crosshair now, you knew no harm would befall you. You knew he would do what needed to be done. You had full trust in the sniper.
Your tense shoulders fell, and you became eerily relaxed feeling the calm wash over you.
“Hand her over, and I’ll let you live,” Crosshair spoke through his vocoder.
“No chance,” the pirate laughed before coughing due to his fractured sternum, “Put down your gun, and I won’t shoot her.”
Crosshair waited a moment, calculating the risk before deciding to slowly set firepuncher down on the ground, deciding your life was the top priority.
“Kick it to me,” the pirate ordered.
Crosshair begrudgingly kicked his beloved rifle into the center of the room. The pirate huffed, satisfied.
You were then violently shoved down onto your knees with a cry as the pirate pushed you over to have a go at Crosshair. You felt his steel-toe boot bite into your side as he kicked you.
The Pirate wasn’t ready; Crosshair was too fast, too trained. Before his boot had ever left your side, Crosshair lunged at him, knocking the blaster from his grip. The two men fell into a nasty brawl.
Gaining your senses back, you watched your beloved alpha fend off the pirate to the best of his ability.
The ugly fucker grabbed a knife from his belt and swung it at Cross. You watched in horror as Crosshair dodged him masterfully, but your adrenaline was on overdrive.
Without much thinking, you crawled over the debris of the room and grabbed firepuncher. You held up the rifle, tucking it into your shoulder and raising yourself to your knees, bringing one foot forward to plant confidently on the floor.
Raising the gun up into the air, you felt your heart calm and your breathing still.
In that brief moment of clarity, you aimed the weapon, putting the god-ugly pirate into the crosshairs of the scope before pulling the trigger.
You watched that blue plasma bolt pierce right through the back of the pirate’s skull as he collapsed on the ground mid-swing.
Crosshair stood there in awe as the smoke from the blast still lingered in the air. He felt like the air had been punched from his gut seeing you kneeling there holding his gun with that determined look in your eyes. He felt the blood rush south realizing you had just saved him... with his gun. He wanted to throw you down on these cushioned floors and ravash you. Shaking himself back to his senses, he took a deep calming breath in.
You took a deep breath too, setting the gun down as Crosshair leaped across the room to kneel down on the floor and embrace you.
You tightly wrung yourself around him, finally feeling the adrenaline wear off and the tears start to flow.
“Cross!” You sobbed, squeezing him.
“Mesh’la,” he took his helmet off, setting it down to the side, and shoved his face into your neck, holding your head like you were the most precious thing to ever live.
“Are you hurt?” He suddenly drew back to get a real look at you. He finally had a second to take in what you were wearing. If the situation wasn’t so dire, he’d probably have a boner right now.
Your bare legs knelt on the ground, and your nearly naked torso shone in the moonlight, and that damn red on you. It was making his blood warm seeing his little omega on display like this.
“I’m okay,” you replied, grabbing his face and bringing his mouth to yours in a heated kiss. He leaned over you, supporting your back with one hand and holding the two of you up with the other, he squeezed you tightly to his chest plate.
“Y/N?”
Crosshair grabbed his gun in a flash between your bodies, placing the end on his shoulder rifle rest for stabilization. You were still dazed from the kiss when you noticed the others had come out from hiding.
Taryn and Starla squeaked with the gun being pointed at them clutching onto one another.
“It’s okay,” you said, placing a hand on the rifle, “They’re friends.”
Crosshair slowly lowered the gun and looked back at you, “We need to go.”
“Where are the others?” You asked, letting Crosshair help you stand up. He put his helmet back on with a hiss.
“They’re fighting off the pirates. Echo spotted you from the balcony. I ran up here as fast as possible, but we have to go while we still can.”
“What about them?” You asked, looking to your frightened friends.
“We don’t have time,” he ushered you out towards the balcony.
You looked over your shoulder, pointing to the discarded pirate blasters, “Use those!” You pointed to the weapons. Taryn scrambled to grab them as Crosshair wrapped a strong arm around your back, bringing you to his front.
“Hold on adi’ka,” he said, aiming another repelling cable towards the floor above. You wrapped your arms around Crosshair as he engaged the lift, bringing the two of you off the ground. Once you were up, you noticed Echo squatting on the roof, firing at the wall filled with invaders.
“Echo!” You smiled, still holding onto Crosshair.
“Hey, Tiny!” He nodded at you, continuing to squeeze off more rounds, “Glad to see you… what the hell are you wearing?”
You looked down, forgetting about the strange revealing attire.
“Later!” Crosshair growled.
He grabbed a zip cable grip, placing it onto the zipline from the top of the temple over to the wall across the way.
“Don’t let go!” He said, grabbing you again.
“What?” You asked before squealing as he whisked you off your feet, letting the grip slide across the cable carrying you over the war zone towards the wall deck. He dropped the grip, landing the two of you safely on the wall. Your bare feet hit the stone with a stumble as you shook with renewed adrenaline.
“I got her,” Crosshair radioed in as Echo zip-lined across the gardens to the wall, “meet us at the rendezvous point.”
You felt Echo put a gloved hand on your shoulder before falling into formation, leading the way. Crosshair held your hand as he dragged you through the chaos. Fire and plasma blasts flew everywhere. The entire city was under siege. You watched in horror as the Mimbanese fought with everything they had.
They were fierce warriors; you could give them that credit despite their strange customs.
Your feet were definitely getting cut up from running over the debris, but you couldn’t feel much over the adrenaline. Before long, you were nearing the outer wall as Crosshair and Echo ducked behind a vendor cart, pressing you between them.
“Now what?” You asked, holding onto Echo’s flesh arm.
“We wait for Hunter,” Crosshair said, throwing one of his reflector pads on the wall to keep an eye on the action behind them.
A particularly loud explosion had you clenching onto Echo.
“I don’t know how you guys do this every day!” You flinched as more debris rained over the vendor cart.
“Part of the job, Cyra’ika,” Crosshair checked the locator on his vembrance, “They’re close.” He got up, holding his rifle ready to fire but lowered it seeing Hunter, Tech, and Wrecker arriving on stolen speeders.
When they pulled up, Crosshair led you to them. You went to throw yourself at Hunter, but Crosshair shoved you onto the back of his speeder instead, “Reunions later! Let’s get the fuck out of here.”
You snuggled up to Hunter’s back, clinging onto his armor as Crosshair slid in behind you. The Sargent gave your leg a little pad letting you know he was happy to see you.
Echo jumped onto Tech’s bike while Wrecker’s had two massive engine parts strapped to the back. Presumably stolen you deduced.
In a flash, Hunter whipped the speeder around, taking off, leaving the war zone behind.
You sped through the smoke as you neared the city gates. Crosshair kept a firm hand on your head, shoving your head down when a stray bullet whizzed by.
You gasped, seeing it explode into a basket of fruits to your left.
“Careful,” he growled.
You reached an arm back, putting it on his thigh plate, giving it a squeeze as a thank you.
Once you passed through the gates, you finally could release a big exhale. You watched the city of Alise disappearing into the background as Tech navigated you all back to the Marauder.
You knew it would be a long journey, but you finally felt free. You leaned back into Crosshair, letting your head lull against his shoulder.
He wrapped a hand around your waist, keeping you close. You were finally back with your pack, back with your alphas. Everything was right again…
You felt the way Crosshairs gloved fingers slipped onto the slit in the pathetic excuse for a dress you were wearing.
You could tell he disapproved as his fingers slid inwards realizing you had no panties on. But the other part of your grumpy alpha was turned on beyond belief.
Having you in his grasp again was making his heart race and his codpiece incredibly tight. He couldn’t help himself but to drag his hands away from you core and explore higher, he ran his hands over your exposed sides and back then up your chest to where Taryn had tied a flimsy piece over your breasts. Then he thumbed the piece that wrapped around your neck holding everything together.
You squirmed feeling yourself get wet the more Crosshair touched you. It didn’t help having the humming speeder between your legs as he returned back to massaging your exposed thighs.
Hunter felt you squirming around and tilted his helmet to the side to make sure you were okay. What he didn’t expect to see was you tucking your head into Crosshair’s neck under his helmet as he groped you shamelessly.
He shook his head going back to focusing on getting everyone back to the ship. He’d deal with Crosshair’s horny ass later.
~~~
What felt like an eternity later, the Marauder was finally in sight. When Hunter slowed down the bike to investigate the damage, it was apparent that a large group of raiders had been there.
There were footprints all around the ship, including inside. From what you could see, nothing seemed to be taken except for a few items of clothes strewn about outside, no doubt used to confirm your identity and scent.
“Stay here,” Hunter instructed as he got off the bike with the others to ensure the ship was indeed empty.
You stayed on the bike with Crosshair as he got up to take his helmet off and kiss you properly. You sighed into the kiss, feeling his firm grasp on your chin. His strong hands ran down your sides squeezing your exposed hips he stood between your spread thighs. You whimpered feeling a jolt electrify your entire being.
“Thank you,” you whispered, pressing a small kiss to his lips. “For finding me…”
“You put up a hell of a fight, Adi’ka,” he smiled, kissing you again, this time with more force, making you whine with need as he ground his hips into your throbbing core.
“Alright, quit making out,” Echo interjected, walking back towards the speeders.
You pulled away, blushing, letting Crosshair scowl at the ARC trooper for inturpting. You had heard about the post battle need to blow off steam. Some troopers went to 79’s to drink, some found hookers, and others well.. you weren’t entire sure. But you knew it was real, the adrenaline was making you want to jump Crosshair’s bones.
“What happened?” Echo asked, putting his hand on his hip. The others quickly returned, wanting to know as well. “Where are your shoes?” The arc trooper raised a brow.
“They took them,” you replied, looking down at your wrecked and bloody feet.
“Okay, start from the beginning,” Hunter said, kneeling down in front of you to look at your injuries, pulling a shard from the ball of your foot gently giving your ankle a little rub.
“That crazy man took me. His name was T-Tarook or Tanrock or something like that.” You waved you hand dismissively, “Then we were riding for hours on that stupid horse before we got to the city. Then they brought me to an old lady who took my clothes and forced me into a bathspring.
They dressed me, painted my face, then let me go into that garden prison. I met two human girls who had been victims of the war who ended up there with their families.
Nothing else really happened. They fed me and brought me into their community. There were so many I couldn’t believe it. Then they converted these old Jedi Temples into living spaces and that’s when Crosshair found me.
Well, actually the pirates found us first and I tried my best to fight them off, but in the end, Crosshair saved me. Echo and him got me out and now we're here… I still don’t know where my shoes are though,” you sighed, feeling exhausted; it had been a wild 48 hours.
“An old lady took your clothes?” Echo repeated amused.
You shook your head. “It was so strange.” You were trying to understand the whole ordeal.
“Does that explain that?” He gestured to your barely there attire. You nodded again crossing your arms over your hardened nipples.
“Looks like something the Hutts would like,” Hunter commented, crossing his arms.
“I’ve seen more clothes on a stripper at 79’s,” Crosshair joked. You slapped him.
“I didn’t exactly have a choice if you didn’t notice,” you scowled at him. “Now, will one of you carry me inside so I can change?”
“Sorry to break it to you, Mesh’la, but… they took most of your clothes,” Hunter nodded in the direction of the ship.
“Fucking perverts.” You growled, “They better not have taken my favorite civvies!” You slid off the speeder and into the mud feeling it squelch under your toes no longer caring about getting dirty. You were already covered in plasma powder and maker knows what.
"Hey, I'm just glad you're okay, Pip!" Wrecked exclaimed, pulling you into a massive bear hug and rubbing his chin on the crown of your head scenting you. You relaxed into his embrace, allowing him to set you down gently.
Tech then gave you a quick embrace, followed by Hunter, who tilted your chin up to get a look
at the blooming bruises around your neck. He gave a disapproving huff, but you just smiled and placed a reassuring hand on his chest. He let you go and watched as you made your way back to the ship, your long legs shuffling through the clay, fussing with the fabrics flowing from your waist.
They all watched you trot to the ship eagerly, a little mesmerized by the outfit. Hunter then snapped out of it and pointed to the stolen engine parts, "Alright, let's get these parts installed and get the hell out of dodge," Hunter said snapping the others out of their stares.
Wrecker got to work quickly, knowing there was limited time before the locals or the pirates showed up to poke around and Tech grabbed his welding kit.
~~~
"Are we good to go?" Echo asked Tech, who began the launch sequence. The ship groaned slightly as it pulled away from the surface of Mimban. You sat in your jump seat, feet cleaned and bandaged, wrapped in a blanket, and preparing for the cold of space.
"We’re clear," Tech said, angling the nose of the ship towards the blackness of space.
"Thank the maker!" you cheered, thrilled to get the hell off this rock. “Fuck Mimban!”
You heard Wrecker laugh.
"Launching to hyperspace," Tech announced, pushing the throttle forward to prime the hyperdrive. Within seconds, you were all zooming through space with bright blue and white lights.
You could cry, honest to the maker. The relief of never having to go back to Mimban ever again was like a weight off your chest.
Hunter chuckled at your enthusiasm, watching you happy dance from your seat.
"We’re at cruising speed," Echo said, unbuckling and turning to face you directly.
You perked up. "What is it, Echo?"
He crossed his arms and smirked.
"What?" You started to feel anxious under his playful stare.
"Oh, nothing…" His smirk only grew. "I just didn’t know you had such…voracious tastes."
Your eyes widened like saucers, reminiscent of the one you chucked at that pirate earlier.
"Oh, don’t play shy now," he pointed an accusatory finger at you. "I had to listen to how not shy you were for the past week!"
You wanted to vanish into the floor. You felt your entire body flush, and you knew they could see it because half of it was on damn display.
"You can’t blame me!" You crossed your arms, trying to defend yourself.
"Actually, I think I can," he laughed. "I thought omegas only picked one…"
"You said you’ve shared before!" You narrowed your eyes at him.
"She wasn’t in heat," Echo smiled.
"Is this what you two talk about when we’re on missions?" Hunter leaned against the galley doorway crossing his arms.
"Well, excuse me, you all smell remarkably similar. It’s a little difficult when you’re all different versions of the same person!"
Echo chuckled. "We all know that’s not how that works, sweetheart."
You couldn’t help but leave your mouth agape. "Can’t you just be happy I’m not dead? Must you tease me before we even get back to Coruscant?”
"I just didn’t know this about you," he stood up, shrugging and keeping his playful tone. "I never would have guessed our Tiny…Little sweet Tiny, would roll like this." He laughed.
You threw the blanket you had at him, making him laugh and bat it away.
"Alright, enough, quit playing with her," Hunter gathered you up, keeping you from playfully smacking Echo.
"She likes it," Echo flicked you on the forehead, making you yip as he sat back down in his copilot seat. "I want all of them," he mimicked your whiny voice with a snicker.
"Ahh!" You screamed, covering your face. "Shut up, Echo!"
"Help me, Alpha!" He smiled and laughed, watching you flail around in Hunter's arms, trying to kick him.
"Are you not wearing panties?" Echo gasped pointing a finger at you. The others whipped their heads around.
"Echo!" You screamed.
"Alright, someone has to be the responsible one and get you cleaned up," Hunter spun you around and walked you to the fresher, “Shower. Then we should probably talk before we get to Coruscant," Hunter said, running a gentle hand over your head affectionately.
"Can I borrow some civvies?" You asked, gesturing down to your dress.
Hunter scratched the back of his head. "They took ours too… sorry, pip." He felt bad. You sighed and nodded, letting him close the door, giving you some privacy.
You sighed. You’d be lying if you weren’t a little anxious about having the talk. The second you hit lucidity again after being in heat, you knew it was coming, but the way Crosshair kissed you at least gave you a little hope they weren’t going to just kick you to the side and pretend like it didn’t happen.
At least not the sniper; the others? You weren’t as confident.
Stepping into the fresher, you took a deep breath, letting the hot water wash away the past 48 hours.
It was going to be an uncomfortable journey back home.
So I usually HATE when someone puts images of clothes they had visualized for a fic, but because I struggled so much describing the image, I'm attaching my inpso images here (ahh I'm sorry I'm a hypocrite) and also Pip's iconic tray toss (just like daddy Crosshair)
My thoughts on Spy x Family: EYES ONLY Guidebook (English ver) - part 3
Continuing from my previous two posts, this will be my last post discussing the English version of the SxF manga guidebook "EYES ONLY." I'll discuss some of Endo's and Lin's comments on specific chapters, some of the included concept art for the series, all the Twiyor tidbits the book has to offer, and conclude with a couple things the English version of the book omits.
Endo's and Lin's comments on specific chapters
There's at least one comment from Endo and/or Lin on every chapter of the manga from when the book was originally published (up to chapter 61). Unfortunately I can't cover every single comment, but I did want to highlight a few (more will be covered in the Twiyor tidbits later on).
So Bond wouldn't have actually died from Yor's cooking then? Good to know her cooking isn't that bad, lol. Also that's a good question, Lin, maybe you should ask Endo? 😅
Lots of great info about the cruise arc. Makes sense that they had to plan it out many months in advance and keep revising it to patch up plot holes. All that work definitely paid off! Interesting that they almost considered not having Loid on the ship at all. Glad they didn't because otherwise we wouldn't have gotten one of his best outfits! 🤣 (can't wait to see this piece of work in color in the anime!)
Incidentally, the scene Endo mentions where he "managed to make Yor look pretty cute" is this one (she does look pretty cute here).
My favorite comment of Endo's about any chapter has to be this one for chapter 56. Never change, Endo 😂
And lastly, some good comments about chapter 59 (Becky visits the Forgers).
This is one of my favorite stand-alone chapters so I'm glad it was well received. Funny how they kept going with the joke instead of ending it "normally"...but when you have such great characters and setups, good comedy writes itself!
Below is Endo's commentary about Henderson, not a specific chapter, but thought I'd point it out since he mentions Henderson is the only character he's done a shower scene for...not anymore!
Also, while not related to a specific chapter, I do like what Endo says below about Loid and Yor's "dark sides."
He enjoys drawing them this way, which is cool, but he's also cautious about not overdoing it and saving those expressions for important situations.
Concept art
Most of the pre-serialization character designs included in this book were also in the exhibition pamphlet, which I already discussed thoroughly here (wish I had remembered these were in the fanbook so I wouldn't have put so much effort into trying to read Endo's scribble notes). So I'll just mention a few of the most notable things.
As I discussed in my post about the pamphlet, Franky was at some point intended to be the uncle of the family. Though I do think it would have been fitting to make him the uncle, I also like the main focus being on just the "nuclear" family, with the uncle and other characters having supportive roles.
An interesting note about the beta version of Yor is that she seemed to be more like Fiona - she was in love with Loid right from the start, to the point of trying to eliminate Anya! I doubt this is something she would be doing all the time as it would have been difficult to make her a likable main character if she was always trying to kill her daughter...in all likelihood, she would have tried to kill Anya at first before eventually learning to love her as a daughter. While I see how this could work for an intriguing character arc, I'm glad Endo decided to make Yor a loving mother to Anya right away, and not make her feelings for Loid an obsessive "love at first sight" kind of thing.
Twiyor tidbits
Being the shipper that I am, I tried to see if I could pinpoint any Twiyor subtleties throughout the book, as vague as they may be! 😂
Below are excerpts from Loid and Yor's character pages where we're given info on their current stance about each other.
Love the emphasis on their bond of trust ❤️
Below are excerpts from chapters 14 and 35, probably the most Twiyor-heavy chapter pages in the book.
This confirms that Loid did indeed interpret Yor's kick as her not having any romantic feelings for him.
Below are comments by Endo and Lin for chapter 30, where Fiona is introduced.
Endo's line is a little ambiguous here, but I think he's saying how people sympathize with Fiona because she's "doomed to lose," which is...telling 😅 (does Fiona's loss automatically mean a Twiyor win?)
Endo says he likes the "You're strong, Yor" conversation, one of the most Twiyor-ish scenes in the series so far! 😊 Lin also mentioned how they got to use that theme again during the Becky chapter.
Weird that he chose to highlight this line of all things as Loid's "Family Comment" for chapter 10. Could this and chapter 79 be more foreshadowing for an eventual "Twilight vs Thorn Princess" showdown? 👀 Or maybe he just likes teasing fans because he knows it's something they fantasize about.
English version omissions
There's an additional Endo interview that's missing from the English version of the book: an interview with him and Kazumi Takayama, a former idol of the group Nogizaka46.
At first it seemed very odd that they would leave out just this interview, but after discussing it with others on Discord, I realized it's because it has to do with an idol. Apparently getting licensing rights for anything that has to do with a Japanese idol group is very difficult, which is further hindered by the fact that Takayama isn't even part of that idol group anymore, which makes getting the content green lit for official release overseas even more taxing. So probably Viz decided it wasn't worth the trouble and just left out that interview. But thankfully u/Nemshi on Reddit posted a fan translation of it, which you can read here. They talk a bit about SxF, but most of it is just general questions they ask each other.
And the other thing missing from the English version that I really can't understand is the inside cover! Another great 4th-wall breaking joke from Endo (I added a quick translation of the Japanese version below).
Unlike the Takayama interview, I have no idea why they didn't include this. They include the inside cover as an extra page in all the English volumes, so why not here? Very weird.
---
And that's all I'm going to share for the "EYES ONLY" fanbook! Honestly, there's so much great content in the book that I didn't touch on, like info about East/West relations, about Eden Academy, Endo's comments on all the designer chairs for the volume covers...and lots more. So definitely get a copy yourself if you can! It's a must-have for any SxF fan 😁 Books like this aren't officially released in English very often, so the fact that Viz thought it was worthwhile to make this proves how much of a hit SxF is!
My opinion of the ending of Murder Drones (which no one asked for but screw you)
Ugh... Okay, I've been putting off this post for a while, but here it is. I've heard many mixed opinions, "that it was a rushed ending" "that it was the best ending of the animation" and blah blah, well, this is my opinion.
It was... An ending.
X: Lmao, of course it was an ending girl, explain yourself
What I want to say is that we need to put ourselves in context a little, look people. Reality is what it is, Murder drones it was. A. Experiment. Those at Glich told Liam that they will develop the story in eight chapters to see how the project fares, and in the first chapters it looked as if they had a second season planned, only then the amazing digital circus arrived and even though it hurts...
AND NOT! I don't want to say that it's THADC's fault, much less @gooseworx I'm a follower of that series, I love the concept and I wish both series could have forty seasons as far as I'm concerned, but unfortunately, we're not Netflix, we're not Disney ( Thank God)
There were good parts and bad parts, scenes that I loved like N and Uzi formalizing their relationship in some strange way (although I wanted a kiss) and also really scary scenes, like Cyn giving Tessa's voice, and without going any further I am traumatized with a incoming call.
---Were there things to improve/that I didn't like?
Of course yes, for example the climax, yes, yes, I see people saying that Cyn was nerfed but that we are going to make the difficulty of creating such powerful characters, I guess.
One thing that bothered me was the treatment of other characters other than N or Uzi, for example Khan, Nori, or any other sequence, the one that annoys me the most, Lizzy, who is not a character I like, in fact I hate her, but at the very least he could have received SOME consequence for his actions, someone will come out and say that he had his development in the dance chapter, but I don't see it that way, I don't know, say you.
O thad who is top best characters and I love him
--DON'T MAKE ME TALK ABOUT J PLIS---
And what hurts me the most... V
What? Did you think I wasn't even going to talk about her? Well you're wrong!
I feel like the series struggled a lot to develop N and Uzi individually while also developing their relationship, but speaking of V... His development fell short.
I don't want to go on for too long (if you want a deeper analysis of the character, tell me and I'll do it) V had a very serious change from his personality in the mansion to the beginning of everything that happened in Cooper 9, becoming someone more sadistic and aggressive Since murder was her "job" in chapter eight we found out that she knew that Tessa was Cyn, but she was under changate (practically she and N each had a rifle in their heads, for God's sake)
The first time I saw the scene where V tearfully confesses everything to N, it broke me, I admit. But in retrospect, I feel like it wasn't enough. It was good to show the sensitive side of V that we were seeing through the impenetrable diva mask, but she herself tells Cyn that she "still can" which doesn't convince me.
I loved chapter six, it's simply one of my favorites, because with all the reasons to leave Uzi where Alice had them, he chose to save her.
Damn!
He defended her to tooth and nail, he seemed like a beast with -Tessa- and with N, he literally didn't want anyone to touch Uzi because she was hurt, without going any further
his damn last words were for her!
I loved that scene because literally and symbolically V took a step forward to break the block of ice that the two of they had placed in front of each other since chapter two, this is when V first calls her by her name, not cyn, not purple thing, not parasite... Uzi, just that.
And it bothers me that this was completely ignored in chapter eight (I mean, not completely but it was not given the value it deserved) From the bottom of my heart I would have wanted V to apologize to Uzi for everything he had done, for Uzi to somehow thank her and also apologize (because Uzi also almost killed her)
I know that neither of the two characters are the most emotional thing in the world, but I only ask for three dialogues, not a kiss and an emotional thirty-minute speech (which wouldn't have been bad either)
And spoken of the devil... The time
raised the hand who imagined that chapter eight would last (minimum) an hour. Because im yes, I feel that the ending was rushed, don't get me wrong, the final fight was beautiful, with framing shots and very very epic with the background theme. But, I don't know. I think that another ten minutes just to complete the developments, explain the unresolved doubts and give seriousness to some things was worth it (*cough, cough* Doll)
Anyway, this post already seems like a Twitter statement...
I love murder drones.
there isn't a joke that doesn't make me laugh or an emotional scene that doesn't make me cry, I wish with all my might for a second season of this series so much. potential, but it is what it is.
Anyway, I have a little faith in a spin-off or a continuation in some way because of the fucking open ending, nothing and no one is going to stop me from continuing to love these schizophrenic robots, or from continuing to ship my weird ships, far from it. to play eternal dreams at the faculty parties.
Leave your opinions in the comments or reblogs, I'll be reading them! And if you want V's analysis, say so! maybe we could reach 200 notes?? Who knows? Bey-bey devils don't get lost.
Now, hear me out....
I just can't get this idea out of my head:
It's a mini smut series. Each part is for a different underrated 1A boy, but interconnected. There will be two different endings, each with two different outcomes.
As I was getting ready to post this, I realized that the idea was akin to Aberration by @bakuhoes-dumbass , so to be on the safe side, I reached out and got permission. Aberration is so attention grabbing and (personally) keeps the you on the edge of your seat. It's 10x better than anything I'm gonna write for this, so check it out! Thanks again to @bakuhoes-dumbass for giving me the green light!
**Y/n is the new psychiatrist for the Yuei Institute for Dangerous Individuals (YIDI). But she's also the warden's niece -giving her more loopholes to wiggle through than your average psychotherapist. Cue the jailbird shenanigans when they get a whiff of their new toy.
Warnings: Contains slight passive hybristophillia, various talk of criminal behavior and non consensual/dubiously consented to actions and scenarios, do not read if you are sensitive to said topics!
Age Rating: 18+ Minors DNI
Prologue: A deeper introduction to the jailbirds
Let's get to know the inmates, shall we?
Chapter 1: Shoji Mezo- Convicted on multiple counts of gang-related torture; currently serving 3 life sentences with no chance of parole. Time incarcerated: 6 years, 4 months.
In which your first session with the sadist derails an a way you never expected. As it turns out, the jailbirds are missing more than just their freedom.
Chapter 2: Ojiro Mashirao- Convicted on 1 count of 1st degree murder following a confession refusal; currently serving 20 years with no chance of parole. Time incarcerated: 2 years, 9 months.
You survived your first day. What more could go wrong? A lot, apparently. After the surprisingly saucey session (ooh alliteration) with Shoji, you can confidently say you're better prepared for the type of inmates you're dealing with. Or so you thought...
Chapter 3: Tokoyami Fumikage- Convicted for the attempted murder of his best friend, claiming "the shadows told him to do it"; currently serving 15 years with a chance of parole after 5 years. Time incarcerated: 4 years, 8 months.
Your new deal is firmly in place, and you're prepared to do what you agreed to. You just didn't expect your end of the deal to be enforced again so soon. It's all in the name of helping... Right?
Chapter 4: Koji Koda- Convicted of arson, assault, and non-peaceful protesting of multiple animal testing facilities; currently serving 40 years with a chance of parole for $15,000 bond. Time incarcerated: 3 years, 7 months.
Animal rights activists can't be too scary... can they? You're a little less than a month into your new job, and it's going relatively smooth. The deal is going as planned, and you seem to be making progress. Turns out this activist isn't scary after all... He's downright terrifying.
Chapter 5 : Rikidou Sato- Convicted for drug trafficking and the assault of 5 police officers; currently serving 90 years with a chance of parole after 40 years. Time incarcerated: 1 month, 3 weeks, 2 days.
Marking the last day of your first month is your final first session. After today, you can confidently say that you know what to expect with your assigned inmates. That doesn't mean what you're to expect will be easy. Withdrawal really brings out the worst in people, doesn't it?
Epilogue 1: Every action has consequences... Unfortunately, Y/n engaged in the same action with 5 different people. So, which one is the reason for this consequence?
Mentions pregnancy and abortion, if you are sensitive to either of those topics, I'd advise you to redirect to Epilogue 2 for the second ending. Open ended/up to interpretation of the reader. Can be read for any of the inmates
Epilogue 2: Every action has consequences...Unfortunately, Y/n's bleeding heart is her consequence. But for whom does it bleed?
Contains an individual ending for each inmate. 'Pick your own ending' style
"Jailbirds" Coming Soon
Hello! My name is Krispy, and I’m the co-creator of the webcomic Ghost Junk Sickness (along with @spacerocketbunny) It's story time!
GJS is a webcomic published by Hiveworks and features two bounty hunters with an unstable dynamic who are pushed to pursue the deadly bounty dubbed the Ghost The current iteration of GJS is about 9 years old (and wrapping up next year!) It’s been an incredible journey full of ups and downs. We’ve learned SO MUCH creating this comic, and I wanted to share some of it’s origins with you all in hopes of inspiring more folks to take chances, make mistakes, and get messy- and make that comic!
The origin of Ghost Junk Sickness came from our love for Magic Knight Rayearth and Final Fantasy 7. Vahn, the protagonist of GJS, was basically a mash up of Hikaru and Cloud from those two series. The very first version of this story has unfortunately been destroyed, and this map is the only piece I have left of that world. Character art still exists though, and it was pretty funny to see how obvious we were with our inspirations at the time.
The original attempt at the story was called Crew, and my sister Space and I worked on it in 2002-2004. We sort of got lost in our own ideas after that, and weren’t as focus on making the comic (now lost). A few years later, I decided to try my hand at it and it looked like this:
This was all done on low quality paper, whichever I could find at the time and some pencil crayons. This attempt was over 600 pages long and had a pretty random story plot, much like the first version. I could not tell you what it was about haha 😅
My second attempt (then called Divine Ace) I wanted to look more 'traditional manga' and kept with just inks and tried my darndest to tone on the computer (it never worked out). This one lasted over 400 pages, and was more allinged with my liking to edgy action anime and games at the time. It was also Trigger's first appearance!
After experimenting and eventually wanting to change- I started to work with Space again, and we collaborated in full on our first fancomic for TF2 called "Be Efficient, Be Polite." It was a good lesson on how we could coordinate our shared skill sets and plan out who did what as far as the whole process of comics go.
All of these comics (save for the very first lost version) were hosted on DA the day we got our hands on a scanner. It was our first taste on being 'webcomic creators' back in the day, and it was very fun! We didn't much care for readers, only the process of completion at the time, so a page done was always a victory worthy to be celebrated (and back then, we had more time to make pages!)
And so, as the years went by and we decided to move on from our fandom roots, Space and I went back to the Crew/Divine Ace project and redesigned and overhauled the entirety of it. (You can see the full evolution here) We wanted to re-asses what the story, comic, and characters meant to us, and how we could convey some pretty important ideas and concepts to our potential readers. From that, Ghost Junk Sickness was born, and began pre-production in 2013.
Years after, we find ourselves reflecting on how much we've learned from the process of going ahead and diving in head first. There were certainly many iterations and years it took to get where we are today, but realising that it all began that day Space and I decided to scribble some pretty mediocire comics in our homework books and papers. Because that is the beauty of comics- The many skill sets, the hats, and challenges that come along with creating them. And how much we've become better at so many things along the way. So if you read this and feel nervous about diving head first into your first comic, I'm here to re-assure you that things will feel tough, but exciting. Things will feel really hard but amazing when you're getting your story out in front of you with such an incredible medium. Webcomics will always be my favourite because of how accessible it is to any skill set. And know in your heart of hearts that there ARE people out that that LOVE to see growth, they love to see the progression of your journey. So get out there and start creating that comic that's occupied your brain for so long, and start breathing that life into your OCs and your world. The only way is up with webcomics, and the only way to start is just by creating now.
UPDATED AND REDESIGNED CHARACTER SHEETS FOR THE FUTURE AND A ROBOT CHARACTERS!!
The Future and a Robot is my original series that I plan to animate soon/eventually.
The series follows two kids — er, one kid and one robot — who by accident activate a strange device which portals them into a distant land of archaic culture, odd lore, and major historical events — the 90’s! The two meet a young boy and his family, and lodge with them until they can figure out how to return home… but that’s a story for another time. And now, to (re)introduce the main cast!
First up, Lloyd the Android!
Lloyd is… well, a robot. An android, to be specific (he gets very particular about that distinction)! Lloyd is sweet, goofy, incredibly innocent and unfortunately as naive as a newborn baby. Lloyd’s name is actually an acronym: Life-Like- Optimized Youth Droid. Designated as Julia’s companion and protector, Lloyd finds himself suddenly in a new (or rather, old) century with people that he comes to love just as much as his creator. However, what with being a highly advanced piece of technology, Lloyd is now made to keep his mechanical origins a secret. Only Julia, Harris and the Smith family know that he’s not actually a human. But can he keep up the charade?
Coming in hot — Julia Gonzales!
Meet Julia Gonzales, a preteen genius with some minor anger issues and misguided goals. But don’t let her salty demeanor fool you, she’s just a kid burdened with a heavy backstory… plus a silly android that she has to wrangle out of danger far more often than she’d like to. Julia prefers to maintain the edgy punk motif, but in reality she’s a chaotic and nerdy gamer with way too much time on her hands. She loves all things technology — programming, engineering, coding, building, inventing, etc. However, the 90’s prove to challenge her patience as she struggles to rediscover herself while also finding a way back home… After all, she still has a mission to finish.
Put your hands together for Harris Smith!
Harris Smith is a young lad who lives in the quiet and unassuming town of Westfield. However, his quiet life is upturned in the most fantastic of ways when he finds Julia and Lloyd! Instantly enamored and amazed, Harris convinces everyone to let the two quirky kids stay at the Smith home until they can find a way to send Julia and Lloyd back to the year 2485. Harris, a hickish boy with a mullet, very few friends, and an interest in computers, immediately befriends the time travelers and begins the start of his new life of adventure and amazement! Harris loves having Julia show him her cool futuristic tech, and he will often take the time to help teach Lloyd what being a human is like.
Last but never least, we present Imogen Love Davies!
Imogen Love is a sweet young girl who befriends Lloyd and the rest, though she and Lloyd are the closest of the group. She has no idea that Lloyd is an android, nor that he is absolutely 100% head-over-heels in love with her. Imogen is very artistic, she loves to draw and tries to inspire Lloyd just as much as he inspires her. She carries around a small fanny-pack-purse-thing that somehow always has whatever she needs inside. Drawing supplies? Check. Water? Check. A bungee cord? Why not. It’s Batman’s utility belt, Milo Murphy’s backpack, Wander’s hat, you get the idea. Imogen Love truly lives up to her name, showing kindness to everyone. And maybe a lil’ extra for a certain someone she’s quite fond of…
There are plenty more characters within the story — Mr. and Mrs. Smith, several kids from school, an antagonistic businesswoman and her faithful engineering partner, etc. Maybe I’ll share the rest some other day (like when I finish their turnarounds, lol), but for now I think a small taste is best and I cannot wait for the day when I get to introduce the rest of the story!!
I’m not sure you’re aware but ,Moon girl season 2 airs tonight at 8 February 2. Are you watching it when it airs on Disney channel if you have cable the ratings where low last season , cause Disney sucks at marketing their animated shows. But we also have to watch it on Disney + on February 3 the most, and when they air it on YouTube. I’m not just saying only cable I’m saying please support this show. They are airing 2 episodes a week just like last season. Please watch the episodes when they air too.
Unfortunately they be dropping 14 episodes on Disney + so watch them all in one day ,then but also when they air the first time. I’ve been told it will help Season 2 is going to be more story driven ,it’s at risk of getting canceled after 2 seasons. If the ratings arnt better. Especially on Disney + Disney is judging the show views on how many binge the show on February 3. And they have a season 3 planned. Please don’t Disney screw this show over like the others.we need all the views we can get so help spread awareness of the series and what’s happening
Hey I'm so sorry I just now had time to answer this!!! And I found Moon girl on just now what luck!!!
but yeah please signal boost this followers!!! we have to support Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur!!!
My Wolverine and the X-Men Rewrite (Part 1)
I'm sure many of you are familiar of Wolverine and the X-Men, as it was the last major animated series based on Marvel's merry band of mutants before X-Men '97 came out....
And before Marvel entered their infamous "anti-mutant" phase of the 2010s.
(If you don't count the X-Men Anime, which was a mini-series.)
Premiering back in 2009 on the somehow still-existing Nicktoons Network, the series is about the X-Men disbanding after a mysterious explosion results in the destruction of the Institute and the disappearance of Charles Xavier and Jean Grey.
About a year later, the team ended up reuniting for two major reasons.
The MRD (short for the Mutant Response Division), a government-supported organization created for the detainment and subsequent registration of existing mutants, begin capturing mutants from all over the country. Not only that, but they’ve even taken humans as prisoners as well just for helping mutants.
Charles Xavier, who the team find out is actually alive but in a coma resting on Magneto’s island nation of Genosha. Xavier is able telepathically communicate with the team from, in the words of Squidward….
youtube
Essentially, the explosion resulted in Xavier’s psyche being flung 20 years into the future. And Xavier himself won’t be awakened from his coma until those 20 years pass. Meanwhile, in the future, Xavier is awake, but finds himself constantly trying to survive as the future he’s in is absolute shit.
Being a loose adaption of Days of Future Past, the future Xavier’s in is one where the Sentinels have conquered the world after a war that broke out between the Master Mold program and Genosha.
In the end, nobody won.
As in this future, humanity has essentially been wiped out and mutants are on the verge of extinction, being placed in concentration camps.
But there is some hope....
Xavier in the future has formed a new X-Men team as it’s revealed that all of the original team are now dead. This new team consists of the likes of Bishop (who’s was one of the many mutants unfortunate enough to be born into this life instead of being a police officer from the distant future), an older Domino (whose present self is an enemy of the X-Men as she’s a member of the Brotherhood), and Marrow (who isn’t a member of the Morlocks).
Since Xavier is able to communicate with his past X-Men, he wants them to ensure that this future never happens.
So now, the reunited X-Men must face on the MRD, stop whatever plans Magneto has up his sleeves this time, and prevent the dark future from happening.
And all with Wolverine being the leader.
youtube
Yep! Wolverine is the leader of the X-Men as of right now as Cyclops is not doing so well….at all.
But in addition to those two, the rest of the X-Men consists of Storm, Beast, Nightcrawler, Iceman, Shadowcat, Angel, Forge, and newcomer Emma Frost.
youtube
WAXTM is notable things for two things.
It was also shortest-lived of the shows, only lasting 1 season of 26 episodes, which ran through the year of 2009, from January 23rd to November 29th.
This would be the sort-of beginning of an all-new shared animated universe known as the Yostverse, which consisted of the Hulk vs. Films, Thor: Tales of Asgard, and most notably, The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. The reason I say sort-of beginning because one of the shows that’s supposedly a part of this universe is The Spectacular Spider-Man, which came out almost a year before this show did. But that’s a discussion in itself.
Ever since its cancellation, WAXTM has gained a following and has become one of the many animated shows that got cancelled too soon and has led thousands of fans clamoring for a revival.
And to this day, people consider the show an underrated gem.
But I'm gonna have to come out and say it.....
Wolverine and the X-Men is not exactly a good show....
youtube
It's not bad by any means, but does have a lot of flaws.
And while it did do some things right, it wasn't quite to the extent of X-Men Evolution and especially X-Men: The Animated Series.
So today I want to discuss how I would rewrite the show. Keeping what worked about the show and either strengthen or removing what didn't.
And for this rewrite, be prepared to expect changes in characterizations, looks and even voices!
For the first part of this rewrite, we'll be covering the first three episodes of the show, Hindsight: Parts 1, 2 and 3.
And for this version of the show, all 3 of episodes would premiering on the exact same night: January 23rd, 2009.
Essentially, Wolverine and the X-Men's premiere in this AU would be a full-on TV movie!
This would be similar to what Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends did as when they first premiered, they had the first three episodes packed into a TV movie.
And one last thing, I would like to credit synergysilhouette as my main inspiration for this post, as he also shared his own idea on rewrite Wolverine and the X-Men as well.
So with that being said, let's get this party started!
First thing we need to get out of way that this show would not be called "Wolverine and the X-Men".
As that title is undoubtedly emblematic of the show's greatest flaw: the focus on Wolverine.
It's pretty obvious that the original series was riding on the coattails of the X-Men films, which Wolverine was not only the most popular character of, but the essentially the main character (and the only one that really mattered, much to the detriment of basically everyone else.).
Made more obvious with the fact that it premiered just four months before his long anticipated solo film.
Yeah, we all know how well that turned out....
Apparently, when WAXTM was first conceived, it was initially meant to be solo cartoon for Wolverine.
At least in the eyes of the executives...
But to the directors and producers, this was meant to be another X-Men cartoon.
In the end, the two sides essentially came to a compromise: the show would have the X-Men as its main cast, but Wolverine would be the focal character of the show.
Everyone has already said it before, but it does bare repeating.
The X-Men are suppose to be an ensemble. It shouldn't focus on just one character and essentially make everyone else irrelevant.
For this rewrite, the show's name would be changed to "X-Men Destiny", which I feel like fits perfectly with the premise of the series.
Next we come to the tone and style. This was another area where the influence from the films is quite obvious.
Just like the FOX films, Wolverine and the X-Men is notably more serious and gloomy than most other X-Men media, even the comics at some points.
It's somewhat melodramatic and there's rarely ever a sense of levity or humor to lighten things up
I'm admittedly not a fan of this style. I understand the X-Men are a little more serious when compared to other characters of the Marvel universe, but I don't think they need to be this overly serious.
I feel like the core of the X-Men, in spite of the all bullshit they deal with, they still persevere and keep their heads up no matter what.
So for this version of the show, the tone will be a little more light-hearted.
There will actually be humor present and some characters will be the resident comic reliefs.
But don't worry, the show will still take itself seriously when it needs to.
But another area the show would see change in is the art-style.
For this version of the show, the character designs would be done by ZyalahDoodles.
She’s an artist here on Tumblr who has done some redraws and redesigns for WAXTM.
I really like her style. It strikes that balance between being similar to the original art style while still being somewhat different. And if anything, it’s actually an improvement over the original style, especially when look at characters like Quicksilver.
Like Jesus Christ, he was hideous in the original!
I know he’s suppose to be Magneto’s son, but you didn’t need to make him look as old as him too!
Like Zyalah’s Quicksilver can actually get it.
If you want to check out more of her art, here’s the link to her page below.
Next we come to the roster.
Overall, it's largely the same as in the original except we would see the addition of one more character.
And that's none other than the steel-skinned gentle giant himself, Colossus!
Not only because he's one of my favorite X-Men, it's also because he's honestly kind of deserves it.
For those who don't know, despite only appearing in the prologue of the first episode, Colossus was weirdly in a lot of promotional material and merchandising for the show.
Apparently he was suppose to return to the X-Men following the explosion, but the producers decided not to do that and just save him for the planned season 2.
I'm guessing that the promotional material and merchandising started production during the early development of the show and before everything got finalized.
And thus, it's why a lot of this stuff still shows Colossus as a main character.
It's similar to what happened with The Simpsons, as during its early years, a lot of merchandising featured Bart famously wearing a blue shirt instead of his trademark red shirt.
But now that we got our roster out of the way, let's talk about the characters.
Specifically, their voices, appearances and ages.
In terms of voices, just about everyone still have their respective VAs in this version....except for two of the X-Men.
Those two being Iceman and Rogue.
Iceman would be voiced by Jason Marsden, replacing Yuri Lowenthal.
But don't worry, Yuri would be still in this version of the show, but as a different character (who we'll get to shortly).
And Rogue would be voiced by Melissa Disney, replacing Kieren van den Blink.
As for appearances, synergysilhouette brought up how a little wonky the builds of the characters were.
Like some of the males had buff upper bodies but surprisingly thin torsos and legs, and the females were pretty paper thin.
Like, we're talking almost VivziePop thin, specifically in the leg area.
The only part of them that wasn't thin were their chests....
Who designed these girls? Greg Land?
So yeah, in this version of the show would fix some of those designs.
Particularly putting a little more meat on the females.
I guess you could say I made them....
youtube
But for the builds of the X-Men.
Wolverine has a stocky and muscular build.
Cyclops is lean but athletic.
Emma Frost has an hourglass figure with a more top-heavy build.
Storm also has an hourglass figure, with an all-around build.
Beast...basically looks the same as he does in the original show.
So does Nightcrawler, Angel, Colossus, Iceman, Shadowcat and Forge (expect he'll actually have tanned skin)
And Rogue has a similar build to Storm.
Apart from the builds, the X-Men look largely the same as in the original show.
Though Cyclops and Rogue would definitely be getting a serious hairdo.
Since let's be real, their haircuts were pretty awful in the original show, especially Rogue's.
Cyclops' new hair would look just how it does in Zyalah's piece I showed earlier, and Rogue would have much longer hair.
As for heights, the X-Men are pretty accurate to those from the comics.
Yes, and that does include Wolverine.
However, there is one exception to this and that's with Beast.
I've always felt that Beast definitely should be a much taller character than he actually is.
(He's canonically 5'11)
But despite that, in the more recent comics, he's always shown as being bigger than most of the other X-Men.
So here, Beast is like 6'5.
As for their outfits...
Wolverine, Storm, Emma, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Angel, Rogue and Forge would be wearing the exact same outfits they did in the original show.
Beast as well, but he would also be sporting goggles this time.
(He just looks so right with them).
Iceman would wearing a modified version of his outfit from the show.
It would have a light blue and dark blue color scheme, short pant-legs and no shoes.
Shadowcat would be wearing her outfit from the Astonishing X-Men run.
And Cyclops, well....
This what he'll be wearing.
If you collected any Marvel merchandising during the 2000s, you've most definitely seen this look before.
It's kind of like an combination between his 90s outfit and his Astonishing outfit.
And in all honesty, it's really cool looking.
But weirdly enough, he's never wore this any iteration outside of the merchandising.
So I figured.....
youtube
Finally, we come to the ages of the X-Men.
I'm reason I'm bringing this up is because of the episode, Breakdown.
In that episode, we take a look into Cyclops' past, and just like in the comics, the X-Men originally started off with the original five.
And we can clearly see that they're teenagers.
But this becomes an issue when take Iceman into account.
In the second episode when Wolverine and Beast come to recruit him, the latter mentions to his parents that Iceman is now 18.
Which would mean that three years have past since the X-Men formed.
And since the estimated age difference between the original five is that Beast is older than Cyclops, Jean and Angel by 2 years and Iceman is younger than them by 2 years, that would mean that Cyclops, Jean Angel are around 19-20 and Beast is around 21-22.
And yeah, there's is no way in hell that's the case.
I could definitely see them being in their 20s, but like mid-to-late 20s.
Definitely not early 20s!
Here, it would be established that the X-Men have been around for about 8 years, including after the explosion.
As for the ages of the team.
We all know Wolverine is old as hell!
Cyclops, Jean and Angel are 24.
Emma is 29.
Storm is 26.
Beast is 27.
Nightcrawler is 22.
Colossus, Rogue and Forge are 20.
And Iceman and Shadowcat are 18.
Now that we got that out of the way, let's go ahead and talk about the episodes themselves!
Hindsight: Part 1
This episode is largely the same, but there would be a few changes.
-All of the X-Men would be present in the prologue. Iceman would training in The Danger Room with Shadowcat, Colossus and Nightcrawler, Forge would be working on a new device while ignoring the cries for help from the four after getting trapped, and Angel would be seen spending them with Storm.
-We would get the establishment of where everyone else is once Wolverine and Beast reunite. Cyclops has living in a rundown apartment by himself, Storm moved back to her village in Kenya, Angel has been working at his father's company, Iceman and Shadowcat moved back in with their parents, Colossus moved back to his family's farm in Russia, and nobody's heard from Nightcrawler or Rogue. As for Beast, he's been hanging at what's left of the mansion with Forge, working together to see what caused the explosion in the first place.
-Speaking of Forge, he would be helping out Wolverine and Beast with their break-in. And also, and more importantly, Forge's characterization is much different. Here, he's basically like Sokka and Velma, being the team's resident tech-genius and total smartass.
-Pyro wouldn't be one of the mutants freed when Wolverine, Beast and Forge free the prisoners. Instead, his place would be taken by Jubilee (voiced by Janice Kawaye). She would end up staying with the X-Men, kick-starting one of the storylines for this series. As for her characterization, it's pretty accurate to how she is in the comics. In terms of overall physical appearance and age: she's about 15, has a slightly petite build, black hair in a bob-cut style, pink lips, brown eyes, stands at 5'1, and wears a modified version of her classic 90s outfit. It's largely the same, except with a navel-bearing shirt, fingerless gloves and sneakers.
Hindsight: Part 2
Once again, largely the same with a few changes.
-The Brotherhood has two new additions from the original version in the form of Pyro and Gambit. Yep! Gambit is a member of Brotherhood in this version of the show, as it would set up his eventual turnover to the X-Men and his romance with Rogue. And in typical Gambit fashion, he'll definitely be laying his Cajun charm on Rogue immediately. As their voices, all of them remain the same except for Quicksilver, Toad and Pyro. Quicksilver would be voiced by Yuri Lowenthal (I told you we would be coming back to him!), Toad would be voiced by Danny Cooksey, and Pyro would be voiced by John Kassir. Also, Toad will be British. Yeah, remember when he used to have a British accent?
-Cyclops' characterization. One of the biggest flaws of the original show was how Cyclops was characterized. In the original, he was an intolerant, depressed grub. I get that he's grieving over the loss of Jean, but man. It's hard for us to feel sorry for the guy when he's constantly being angry and angsty. He may've not been done as dirty when compared to the Fox films, but this version of the character isn't too far behind. But here, Cyclops is will actually remain as the leader of the team, and his big story of the season (apart from the obvious) is him grappling with whether or not he still has what it takes to be leader again. And along with that, he isn't gonna nearly as angry and angsty as he was in the original. However, he will still be grieving and his depression will be shown in a way where we actually sympathize with him. This would be first shown when Wolverine tries to recruit him and after blasting him out of his room. And although he starts off looking down at Wolverine angry at first, but once he leaves, his expression eventually turns into one of regret.
Hindsight: Part 3
Just like with the last two, it's mostly the same with one notable exception.
-When the X-Men meet Emma for the first time, their reactions are a little different. Angel isn't smitten by her at all, as he already has a special somebody (i.e. Storm). But Iceman still is. But he's not the only one. The other would be Shadowcat. Yep! In this show, Shadowcat and Iceman are both, in the words of NSYNC....
youtube
Well that's all I have for now.
Let me know what you guys think about this rewrite. And if you could, give me some ideas on how the rest of the series should play out!
But anyway, I'm gonna go play some X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse....
Peace out, yo.
Alright, so as part of a private project to literally condense everything (Meaning lore and history) Castlevania related into notes for my own reference when writing fanfiction. (Or even just talking about the series because I feel like some of y'all will eviscerate me if all I knew was the Animated series...) I get to look through a lot of the old game manuels. Most the time any narrative that those old games had was in the manuel and not the game itself. (Kinda just how games back then worked because I know Fallout even did the same thing. Granted there still WAS a lotta lore in the game itself but there was a whole lot more in the manuals/books and such but I digress...)
Now most of these manual are just as I expected. Really fun and campy writing. More or less aiming to set up the reason why the game is happening however something about CV 3's manual- cracks. me. up.
Just in case the quality drops and you can't read it...
"The time is 100 years before Simon Belmont's birth. The moon burns red overhead and the black clouds loom large on the horizon. All is still and quiet. Only the call of a distant crow stirs the cold night air. Suddenly, thunder roars out of the Morbid Mountains and into the village of Warakiya. Like the yell of an angry giant, the terrible sound shakes homes and shops as if they were sapling branches. But no one blinks an eye. The village is dead calm. For all the people have fled after receiving warnings from the Great Beyond that Count Dracula has assemble a mighty army of evil, and they're poised to march up from the Valley of Graveyards to bury mankind in a Tomb of Terror. Unfortunately, there's no corner on Earth that won't be gobbled up by this bloodthirsty legion of Swamp Dragons, Slasher Skeletons and Forces of the Undead. The last line of defense is you, Trevor Belmont- the forefather of Simon Belmont and the origin of the Belmont Warlord Chromosomes. But your chances are slimmer than Jim. In fact, the only real edge you have over this fang sharpened freak is your power to transform into three different partner spirits: Grant DaNasty, the ferocious Ghost Pirate. Sypha, the Mystic Warlord. And Alucard, Dracula's forgotten son. Each of these spirits will confront you as you fight through 17 possible levels of never-ending fright, including the Haunted Ship of Fools, the Clock Tower of Untimely Death and Curse Castle. You must also possess the strength to wield the mighty Battle Axe and Mystic Whip, which were given to you by the Poltergeist King. So go forth young Trevor into the cold black night, where death lurks around every corner and evil lingers on every stone. And remember, if your courage and cunning are any less than magnificent or if you fail to choose the correct Paths of Fate, you'll be banished to the world of the undead, and zombies will rule until the end of time." - Pg. 4-5. "How to Play Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse"
Once again... if you can't read the text,
Trevor C. Belmont - "Trevor the infamous forefather of Simon Belmont- the mighty warrior who pulverized Dracula in Castlevania and again in Simon's Quest. Trevor has a number of oldie but goodie attack items that have been given to him by the Poltergeist King. These include the Mystic Whip, Battle Axe, Banshee Boomerang, Dagger and Sacred Water. Trevor is also the master of special items. Including a Pocket Watch, Invisibility Potion and the Rosary." - Pg. 8, "How to Play Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse"
Alucard - "As the son of Count Dracula, Alucard once tried to prevent Trevor from accomplishing his mission. However, he reached a point where he could no longer abide by his father's evilness, and is now looking for a partner to help him put an end to his father's wicked plans. A resident of underground tunnels, Alucard attacks with a Ball of Destruction, which he can also fire in three directions (if he captures a special power booster.) Alucard's primary strength, though, is his ability to turn himself into a bat. However, he cannot attack while he is airborne and will turn back into a human form if his wings are clipped by an evil enemy." - Pg. 8, "How to Play Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse"
Grant DaNasty - "Count Dracula used his sinister powers to turn this Pirate Captain into a ghost. And as one of Dracula's gruesome gang, he will attack you from the top of the Clock Tower of Untimely Death. However, if you can defeat this scoundrel, his spirit will join you. He's small, nimble and has a strong spring in his step, so he's able to jump up onto walls or ceilings and stick to them like glue. Grant's primary attack weapons are an axe and a dagger. Another of his weapons is his skill to scurry along hidden routes not accessible to Trevor. Unfortunately, both his body and ego bruise easily." - Pg. 9. "How to Play Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse"
Sypha Belnades - "Sypha, the Mystic Warlord of Warakiya, is also a vampire hunter who walks quickly and carries a big stick. Rumors of his death were spread throughout Eastern Europe, but in truth he was captured be "Cyclops", the one-eyed Ultimate Evil. Sypha uses his Warakiya Staff to attack. Other attack favorites of his include flames, frozen crystals and lighting bolts. With these, he can destroy evil enemies before they get close to him. However, his skin is very thin and blisters easily when blasted by grotesque enemy attacks. To score BIG, Sypha must attack before his enemies find him." - Pg. 9, "How to Play Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse"
This game did NOT take itself seriously in the manual. The text feels like someone had a list of keywords they had to hit for each character (They probably did) and the framing is so... campy. I ADORE it.
The look of the character too are just so... stereotypical too. For example, Alucard there? Like I knew that this was his original design but something about viewing an actual PDF of the manual with the corny description just made me smile. Smug bastard. Trevor and Simon basically have the same BarbianTM look. Grant was ripped from being a deckhand and Sypha is so covered it really managed to keep the fact she was a girl till the very end of the game when she lets her hair down. I both adore this and found a new gratitude for the later re-imaging of these characters.
Last little tid-bit is this incredibly classic monster art on page 20-21. They are so goofy! I'd see them in a Goosebumps book! I love it!
The link to the PDF used.
Also found this site that lets you play CV3 in a browser. Probably common knowledge for those of you that have been around for awhile but... I figure I should share it anyway. The only problem I had with it was the audio was a tad distorted.
I hope you enjoy as much as I did.
I’m not sure if it’s a good time to ask this, but after seeing @mrultra100’s post about the matter, what was your history with the Dr. Crafty show? And what kind of history did you have with the creator?
Ah, I see folks are talking about the whole mess on here now too? (As an important sidenote: I talked about it in length on my Twitter, but I privated my account and don't plan on ever using it again.)
For those who don't know, this is in reference to the Youtuber and VTuber that went by the alias "Dr. Crafty", also known as Alexander "Alex" Tansley.
The short of it is that I used to work for him for around two years and thought of him as a friend - until I reached the point of realizing that something was very wrong with having the man close to myself and my friends.
Basically, after making some fanart of some of the characters from his show, Crafty and I got in contact and it became what I thought was a fun friendship that developed throughout the months. Now I know better and I know he has a pattern of "befriending" people to get things out of them.
Around the end of 2018 I brought up that I'd be happy to help out with his show if he ever needed help… and that lead to me creating all of the "Questionable Qloset" tarot cards. (Which he put up on his Red Bubble without asking me. If there was ever money made with them, I never saw a cut.)
I was not doing well mentally at the time at all, hell, I worked on the tarot cards while being in medical rehab and he still was pushy for me to finish them way earlier than we had agreed on. But at this point I am not surprised that he took avantage of my less than great mental state. It seems to be a pattern for him, having read several testimonies.
That work unfortunately also lead to me being one of the absolutely overworked employees during the creation of the "I Need A Hero Academia" finale for his show. I was tasked to colour, shade and add effects to the storyline bits of one full episode of that three-part finale, and some bits in the third episode, along with coloring two short animations. Close to 200 illustrations coloured. 90 bucks for all of that work. And burned out at the end of it all. A nightmare.
I also was responsible for designing the Infinia Relics and big villain at the end of the series, but aside from one glimpse of her, that design mostly remained unused.
Along with that I was also partially responsible for the core idea behind "Shakeup Saloon", as I had the idea for the host character - but Crafty took my idea and warped it into something almost unreconizable. He also never credited the person who gave him the idea for the show itself in the first place, Nero (of "ToonGrin"), one of his editiors at the time.
In general, Crafty hated crediting us for all the work we did to make his shows a reality. I had to beg for myself and my co-worker Zaz (who did the lineart I colored) in the finale to be even credited in the last video of the three parter. We didn't even get credited on the video we did the most work on.
So… in general, looking back it was an exhausting work experience.
My personal gripes with him mirror the behavior you might've heard from a multitude of folks on Twitter last month.
Unwanted pushing to do NSFW rp (and me telling him off multiple times, but he would try again multiple times) and trying to do the same with anyone he perceived as female in my private discord server. If you were AFAB, he'd try to slide into your DMs, basically. Which also goes hand in hand with him completely disreguarding that I am a trans man and drawing me with an hour glass figure and needing to be reminded to not draw me with massive tits. It just felt like if he percieved you as a women, he'd use you for his own entertainment as he saw fit. It just took me too long to realize that. Still, I managed to completely cut contact with him in 2020.
All in all, Crafty was a shitty boss and a creep who pretended to be my friend. And that's all I'll say on that matter on here.
Don't waste your energy on thinking about Crafty. Support his victims and let them heal.
