THIS, ALL OF THIS. PERFECTLY PUT INTO WORDS. all q! but my ass is too lazy to go back and add them so there we go.
if you look at all the eggs, they've all grown to have a degree of not only understanding of the world and other people, but also some independence in where they go and with whom.
empanada wakes up to hang out with sunny and tubbo and ramon, richas wakes up to hang out with pomme and bad and dapper, pepito wakes up to hang out with everyone, ramon wakes up to hang out with his sisters and tubbo... i could go on. for most of the eggs, they have their parents but they also have a whole village ā€” it's how pomme found bad as a dad, because he allowed her to be with him at night. how richas handles his parents' constant kidnappings and absences, how pepito has been kept alive! you could argue leo is a bit isolated, but a) she's gotten better at it, and b) even in her anxiety and shyness, leo has always had a village.
philza doesn't allow his kids to have a village, like... at all and it's deeply detrimental to their mental health and development ā€” tallulah more outwardly, and chayanne i think more deeply.
tallulah's worst flaws have been amplified and reinforced by phil's isolation of her, and she's at a complete loss when it comes to emotional intelligence, regulation, and i'm like 99% sure that most of her issues could've been solved much sooner if she'd been allowed to be around other people with different perspectives who help her understand other people instead of perpetuating the idea that she's alone in the world except for her dad and chayanne.
chayanne has so many fucking complexes, i don't know how that poor kid gets up in the morning ā€” to sit there and watch phil basically emotionally manipulate a child who just needed a break with "they need you... but it's okay if you don't want to" was jarring and like... it genuinely upset me.
ultimately, the saddest part of it all is that philza is kind of turning those kids into himself ā€” unsympathetic and unable to bring themselves to care unless something affects them directly. tallulah gives a shit, and philza's surprised. how's that for an example?
there's no perfect parents on the qsmp and everyone tries their best, but my god it boils my blood how often philza is lifted up as this example for all parents when he's turning those kids into soldier-like stereotypes with no sense of empathy who have no regulation of their own emotions and don't know how to interact with people.
tl;dr - free chayanne and tallulah 2k24
I feel like Chayanne and Tallulahā€™s emotional and social wellbeing were sacrificed in-exchange for total physical safety. They are incredibly isolated from the other eggs, (both show signs lacking social development, while Tallulahā€™s is more obvious it is definitely an issue for both) and have no one to really rely on outside of Phil. Both have really intense feelings of neglect, Tallulahā€™s of being abandoned completely out her control and just swept up by the next person willing to take care of her, and Chayanneā€™s of feelings like in a way heā€™s at fault for Missa not showing up that he isnā€™t good enough for him. They have very different emotions towards their neglect and just canā€™t rely on the other for emotional support, and Phil isnā€™t emotional aware enough to give that to them.
The only similar feelings towards neglect literally puts them at odds with each other, believing Phil prefers or pays more attention to the other, and once again they can not go to each other for this. There was so much anxiety over them (and especially Tallulah) getting hurt once they properly stuck with Phil they just stopped leaving that circle. Phil doesnā€™t want them to either, itā€™s understandable due to previous experience with egg death but is still a flaw and overall harmful to Chay and Tallulahā€™s social wellbeing.
Chayanne and Tallulah need people that understand them, and are able to comfort them on a more direct level. They honestly just need more people in their circle, more eggs, and people they can wake up for to spend time with. Theyā€™ve been on a downward spiral for months, and the isolation theyā€™ve been experiencing has only gotten worse. Barely anyone even really knows what Tallulahā€™s like just thinking sheā€™s a sweet princess, and thereā€™s no one telling Chayanne that he doesnā€™t need to give everything for his siblings. They need more people at their door.

Insane on the head about current lore
Phil deserved to explode.
He deserved to scream and shout and rage because, holy shit, both of his kids have been missing for a month and he doesn't even know if they are alive.
He has been trying his absolute best to say calm, to stay afloat and to be dependable. But he's also falling apart when no one is looking.
He deserved to explode at the man (his own son?) who left a child in his care for months on end with no return date to speak of.
Wilbur spent 8 days with Tallulah.
Phil protected her, raised her, cared for her, held her as she cried, cherished every conversation and loved her as his own for 6 months.
That's his daughter, too.
That's his daughter.
((This is not to hate on cubito wilbur, from his pov and with the info available to him it makes sense to act as he does, but phil's side of this whole situation is just devastating. There is no good guy or bad guy here, it's just a family going through the unimaginable.))

I think I'll just say this: I don't agree when people call any of the islanders "bad parents" just because their parenting is flawed.
Like, parents and their parenting is flawed. Inherently. One parent cannot meet all the demands of their child; it is literally impossible. As humans are imperfect, there will always be something missing or lacking in one's parenting. Hell, sometimes even two parents can't meet all their child's needs, depending on their personalities. If that's the case, then I guess all parents are bad parents. But that's not the case, so I don't get why people are so adamant when they see that a parent isn't handling things 100% perfectly and go "wow this person's parenting sucks."
And this is even more so when you take into account... pretty much everything going on in Quesadilla island. These people never really planned to be parents, yet here they are! And this island is out to kill these kids, so it's also a dangerous game of survival now, too! There are horrors around pretty much every corner. Plus, outside or inside forces are making the islanders suffer very often. The islanders are never okay. How they take care of their children is going to be different just by the very basis of their environment. The standards of parenting are different here. Their relationships with people, including their children, were never going to be 100% healthy or positive or okay. It's just not possible.
so, no, I don't think that just cause, say, q!Tubbo or q!Phil aren't great in regards to their emotional intelligence and often isolate themselves, or when any other parents in general don't handle what their children are going through perfectly, that they're bad parents. That kinda statement feels like it diminishes pretty much all the hard work and effort and love they put into taking care of their kids and even kids that aren't their own. Tubbo gives his everything for Sunny, and was/is an active babysitter for a lot of other eggs. Phil works so hard to love and teach survival to and take care of his two eggs equally. (Like, being 'basically' a single parent, of one or WORSE, two, is already hard enough in the real world - imagine being one on this fucking hellscape they're on).
Like, I don't think there's anything wrong with pointing out the parents' flaws. Their flaws make them human, and it'd be foolish to disregard their humanity. And it's interesting to analyze their flaws and what they say about the character, and how they impact their family. There's nuance there, and it should be discussed.
But I think when you're just going "oh, they're bad at parenting in general" because they fumble the bag in other departments lacks nuance. Sure, if you're just saying "they're bad when it comes to certain aspects of parenting," that's a different story, because that's understanding their flaws while recognizing that those flaws don't define all of their parenting. But to just say they're bad at it in general isn't productive analysis of their characters in any way. I haven't watched q!Phil take care of his egg for a whole year (followed by a second egg more consistently shortly after) only for people to shit on his parenting just because his lack emotional intelligence is more noticeable as of recent due to all the trauma and bullshit he's endured. And I haven't seen q!Tubbo put his whole heart into taking care of Sunny as well as multiple other eggs, being Chayanne and Tallulah's reliable godfather, just for people to put down his efforts because he's not always great at more emotionally in depth conversations. They're good parents in a lot of ways, and those strengths shouldn't be discredited just because they aren't good at other things. Their characters deserve way better than that.
tldr these parents are all good in many regards and are just trying their damn best in the worst of circumstances, can we cut them just a bit of slack, please?

okay so I am still thinking about the q!pissa kiss in prison and Phil and Missa getting jelly on behalf of the other (missa with agent 18 iā€™m pretty sure and phil gagging when missa hugged someone for I think an art class)
and so I give some q!Phil headcanons, since idk any for some jealous q!Missa
Phil absolutely LOVES to use his wings for Missa now that they can be out more. Rain? Wing. Cold? Wing. Wings solve everything (not rlly but they probably feel like they do for him)
So I think if q!Phil is feeling jelly bc of possible romantic affection given to q!Missa, he will wrap on of his wings, the one closest to Missa, around him, even snuggle into him if he feels like it who knows

Ok this arc is probably far from over but now that things are okay-ish I just wanna praise everyone involved in it cause tonight was really frickin wild. Like, rp wise it was so... impactful? Forever really gave it his all, he was so goddamn eerie, and his screams and mental confusion were extremely convincing, it was genuinely upsetting. And I couldn't help but pity Pac through this (he's the MVP tho!) Everyone else did so well too, I was IMMERSED, man!
And it's just? Very poetic how the people Forever had the most lore with were the ones to save him. Even though some bad things happened between them, like Phil's rejection and his crumbling friendship with Bbh. And also how Cellbit fought so hard for his friend just like Forever did to him way back then (Regret arc)??? *Cheff's kiss* That's cinema!

thinking of if phil ran for presidential elections and won, forever would try to be even more all over him than he already is and would go even as far to call himself the first lady. (phil has never said anything of the sort) even though phil would do absolutely nothing as presiden, being an anarchist and pissing off the federation <3
but forever just being like "my husband is the president <33333 he's just so amazing <33333 i'm so lucky <3333333"
and phil is just like šŸ˜ "mf what."

I was too tired to stay on Philza's stream... But I am winning, ok?
Fitza staying as strong as ever.
I'll talk a bit about purgatory, since I didn't have time while it was happening.
During the purgatory, we all were thinking that Wallflower duo was dying, cuz they both hunt each other down, but in reality they only got stronger! They are one of the few duos who could kill each other and still stay besties for life. Closer to the end of the Purgatory, they met up and threw a dice together, laughing and joking. Even hugging!! They were in different teams, yet they still hugged and respected each other so much. The Eye B_tch tried to break Fitza up, but their not so platonic duo was stronger than that.
I think it's a stretch, but I felt very warm, when Phil woke up and called for Fit first. I dunno why, but they are very dear to me. Fit is Phil's closest friend and vice versa. So Phil waking up and seeking Fit is so sweet.
And now to yesterday's stream. I didn't watched it all, but I've had enough moments to speak of. Firstly, Fit greeting Philza right when the latter logged in, as they did wayy back, in the first few months of qsmp. Then Phil shows his crows his wings for the first time, which was already huge af. But then he trusted Fit enough to show them to him. And in reality, Phil just showed his greatest vulnerability and insecurity to this specific person, and if it's not the biggest gesture of trust I don't know what is. After Purgatory, they both were supposed to be colder to and be wary of each other, but no. They still confide in each other, being the most honest they can. Fit even apologized. And when Dadza called himself a dumbass, Fit quickly said he isn't one. I love them.
And then Phil and Fit spent a lot of time together, as they did before. Walking, talking, cleaning the server for their kids, joking about each other's d_c-. They're calm around each other, cuz they've known each other for years. I think it's a stretch once again, but I feel that Phil would show his wings to Fit first even if he had a choice.
And again, if we're going back more, when Phil saw the picture of the skull and called for Fit, the latter came almost immediately. After Crow started saying "stupid... Stupid bird brain" 2b2t veteran informed that he believed in existence of skull picture. War criminal sees that dadza starts to doubt in himself, so he reassures him and lets him join him and Pac in the dungeon. Putting friends before roommates (they are so gay, why is Fit in denial... No matter how jacked he is he can't beat Fitpac allegations).
They rotate in my head every second of the day. Their friendship is stronger than anything. If the world came crushing down, they're gonna be together. If one's in trouble the other is already planning the rescue mission. They know each other for a long time, they know how ruthless they can be, but they aren't afraid. They're here for each other. They put their trust in each other, giving each other access to private chambers (Fit's secret bedroom and kid's basement). They're prepared to break the rules, put oneself on the line for the other's sake. They even share illegal stuff with each other. Fit is bullets for Philza's gun. The best duo ever.

you're the only one I trust with hardcoreduo. Tell me your thoughts
So at some point phil told lullah and chay a story about him fighting the ender dragon but hid the fact that he killed it I remembered that and it got me thinking.
So phil has done alot for gods including their dirty work and there happens to be these creatures that while not being gods have power similar to gods. But what if these creatures turned on the gods think of what could happen. So phil goes out to slay all these monsters who just happen to be dragons. Along the way of killing dragons, he learns that the end is guarded by one supposably this dragon is not to be messed with and holds great power over the end and its inhabitants. Phil comes to the conclusion that this dragon must be holding the end hostage so after he has slain all the other dragons he must free the end.
Eventually, he makes it to the end to kill the final dragon. It's a hell of a fight but eventually, phil is about to win when the dragon asks that before he kills it, It has one request which is to spare its child and raise it since it will never survive without its parent, it needs one of it's own kind to protect it. Phil thinks it's a bluff since he's an angel blessed by death, not a dragon and kills the dragon freeing the end. But when he goes into the dragon's den all he finds is a nest with a baby sleeping in the center a baby who happens to be a cross between a dragon and an angel. Phil panics when he can't bring himself to kill his own kind and brings it to the overworld to the outskirts of a town on an island in the middle of nowhere.
Years later phil reunites with the living proof of what he's done when tubbo's set free from the ice prison. The issue is phil's memory is hazy and doesn't recognize tubbo or realize he's a dragon all he knows is something about tubbo is wrong

i was trying to think of what connection q!phil, q!charlie and q!quackity (and i guess elquackity) have because of the tickets today and i started to think about how q!phil has had bad relations with both q!quackity and q!charlie because they both have tried to kill chayanne, and then i remembered how charlie killed tilin so he had bad relations with q, and so on and so forth and then. a realization hit
q!charlie, q!quackity, elquackity and q!phil have all intentionally tried to kill an egg before. and i believe they are the only islanders to do so? (please correct me if iā€™m wrong on this)
like theyā€™ve had either plans to kill an egg or multiple eggs (quackity, elquackity, charlie), intentionally killed an egg (charlie (killed chayanne but it didnā€™t count in the end)) or actually tried to kill an egg (charlie, phil, elquackity)
most people on the island have never intentionally tried or planned to kill any of the eggs except these four (again please correct me if iā€™m wrong) and with the latest post by quackity, during the november 4th event the tickets will lead to whatever the purgatory on the qsmp is right? which is connected to the eggs right? well how fitting the three special tickets to purgatory are assigned to the only people who have such a history with the eggs, donā€™t you think
#qsmp#qsmp philza#qsmp slimecicle#qsmp quackity#qsmp elquackity#also i know a lot of people know about charlie and quackity and elquackity trying to kill eggs#but the phil one might be not as known because it was early on so hereā€™s the context:#charlie broke chayanne bed before the rule about bed breaking was set#so that he could get a gun for flippa#so he killed chayanne (wasnā€™t counted) and in revenge phil went and knocked him down#i think because rubius angel told him charlie killed chay?#and like the killing happened when phil was logged out to fix a bug charlie convinced him he had#so anyway after knocking out charlie phil attacked flippa#he tried to kill flippa as revenge to charlie for taking one of chayanneā€™s lifes i think#but flippa killed him with her gun instead and thatā€™s how phil got his first death on the server#this is all about the qsmp characters btw i canā€™t be bothered to type the q! everytime#please correct me if iā€™m wrong on this i am but a humble q!philza main#with a limited language knowledge#i think the only other member with history of intentional egg deaths is rubius#but heā€™s not an average islander#his death relations were from making deals thatā€™d lead to deaths (like charlieā€™s flippa gun deal)#the reason iā€™m highlighting ā€™intentionallyā€™ so much is because thatā€™s the connecting part here#like yeah mariana killed flippa but they were both accidents#iā€™m not counting tilinā€™s death here because that was unintentional#chayanneā€™s uncounted death wasnā€™t though like that was intentional as fuck#this whole post was brought to you by me remembering a post about how only a few islanders have gone and tried to kill eggs#like charlie with his attempted murder spree#shey rambles

you know the craziest part of sc!Philza saying he had no reason to live without sc!Missa? And that he'd go out of his way to sacrifice himself during the event and upon his sacrificial death, he'd say "for you, Missa" as he takes his final breath? It's the fact that he said, "it's what Missa would want."
Except uhhh, no, not even close. Buddy, I know this is just you huffing massive amounts of copium, but in what world did it ever seem like Missa would want you to die, or even die in his name? If anything, he'd want to see you go as far as you could and possibly win because he thinks so highly of you. At most, he might be flustered at Phil's unhealthy and desperate devotion, but I find it hard to believe Missa would see his current state and be happy about it. He'd likely see him act so sacrificial and so broken and without reason to live and go, "uhhh, is everything alright?"
Missa wouldn't want Phil to die for him. He'd want him to live. And maybe somewhere deep down, Philza knows that, but he's not listening to that little voice. All he is aware of is that he's got someone he loves waiting for him on the other side.

actually canā€™t stop thinking abt the phil wilbur maze argument bc phil has him lassoed the entire time because heā€™s trying desperately to pull him along to the middle of the maze where everybody else is (meta note this is mostly an attempt to speed up the event which is like 40 minutes behind by now) and . this is less about the lasso and more about what the lasso represents. because wilbur literally begs for a warp scroll to get out of that goddamn maze and phil tosses one and walks away and wilbur gets dragged along with him, demands to be let go again, but he CANT unlasso him! physically he canā€™t! phil drags him INTO the warp scroll and reiterates that he should leave but again this is Not about the actual physical lasso this is about how wilbur has been unwittingly dragged into this narrative and mission without really understanding or believing in it. this is about philā€™s attachment to wilbur and his attempt to include him in the ā€˜egg rescueā€™ (fed event) and wilburā€™s abhorrence of that idea, his rebellion against what is expected of him by both peers and authority. and itā€™s even better because he doesnā€™t even get unlassoed when he warp scrolls out of there. his ass gets launched into the nearest spruce wall the minute he gets home. heā€™s always attached. he will always be pulled into their plot. this is about how the letter tells us qlovejoy was a fed-funding operationā€” he will always, always be playing along. the lasso is a familial bond and a guitar and puppeteer strings and an arguably meagre sum of duck coins in his mailbox
