Okay I'm so sleep deprived so pardon whatever this is but something that's got me FUCKED up about ai generated pictures songs writing is that it just fucking kills the ability to analyse for me because there's no fucking INTENTION behind it. Like why was this decision made why were these colours used what does that say about the work NOTHING because a bunch of programming took work that DID have intent and theme and purposeful choices and turned it into SLOP. Like I COULD analyse this but it doesn't MEAN anything it's EMPTY I want to EXPLODEEE

do any of you ever lay awake at night thinking about how Kremy gifted Gideon a comb even though, obviously, lizardfolk don't have any hair.

because that means that Kremy went out of his way to get Gid this gift. A comb isn't just something an alligator would have or just collect somewhere to have it for later, Kremy likely never needed or thought of having anything of the sort.

But Kremy noticed how roughed up Gideon was, how he didn't have anything on him to take care of himself and Kremy came up with the idea and then spent time and possibly money (or he just swiped it but still) to find a nice comb just for Gideon and then gave it to him.

Nikkie described it so beautifully that it was the first time someone saw Gideom as his own man and that also makes my heart ache so much. But I just can't stop thinking about how freaking Kremy Lecroux, went out of his way, to get a thing he likely never even thought of getting, just to give it to his partner (in crime). Like yeah sure we can talk about how Kremy wouldn't want to travel with someone unkept but I don't think it's that. He'd get Gideom a bath and a haircut or something at an inn and done, issue solved. But no, Kremy specifically wanted to get a thing for Gideon, he wanted him to have something that's just for him, something to help him get his sense of self back, his looks and help him find his confidence.

It was thoughtful gift from Kremy who probably is the last person to do thoughtful gifts to just some people. But he made that gesture for Gideon.

like do you ever just lay there and think about all that and how they both must have felt almost an instant bond forming between them, doesn't matter if it's platonic or romantic, like do you just-- yeah.

the blue and red blanket Jayce wraps around Viktor is symbolic of the humanity he's still holding onto...

and also their love for each other

he keeps it throughout his entire season arc, and through his "gLoRioUs evolution" process you see it starts to cover less and less of him the further he strays:

the first time we see it, its completely draped over almost his entire body, only barely showing his hands, feet and head

in the next scene we see him, his head is covered, but more of his feet and arms are showing through

he loses the hood being in his lil cult after a while, the way the rest of it is pinned up reveals more of his body; his legs and entire arms, and the sides of his torso are showing as well

when Jayce finds him, its now only covering half of his body, but still holding on even after being blasted through the chest with a Kamehameha

with the Herald form, aka the furthest thing we see from the Viktor we know, the blanket only has a tattered idea of it wrapped around him, just covering his shoulders, even the neck of it looks slightly ripped or torn. its almost completely gone, the blanket that once covered his whole body is basically just two strands of fabric now:

but it still manages to incorporate itself into his astral form as well, because though it feels more Herald than Viktor now, he's not completely gone yet, Viktor is still in there. he still had a small shred of humanity left to him, a small shred of that blanket.

and THATS why and how Jayce is able to bring him back to himself... with a hug no less, which is something inherently human in nature,, as well as just being Jayce's way of expressing love throughout the whole show (x). and Viktor's humanity is still there- weak, but not completely gone yet. notice how once the image of the Herald is cracked and diminished, Viktor's form is still completely made up of blues and reds. even now, while not visually being draped on him, the blanket still incorporates its way through color

the mask is metaphorically AND literally shielding Viktor from himself, but finally he's able to slip through once the mask cracks, and we see the real Viktor behind the Herald. and only here is Jayce able to break through and show Viktor his mistakes and make him realize the things he's done. likely this wouldn't be possible had Viktor been completely gone.

and in the end, what colors are they bathed in together?

blue and red

also sky represented that humanity on the inside while he was still Viktor too, which is why in the astral form, theres no blanket, he's just Viktor in there for the majority. but she's always with him, and once Singed transforms him and takes that away, the Herald's blanket(?) cape(?) is show in the astral plane now that Viktor's inner self and Sky's projection link are not [completely] there anymore🫠👍🏻

you can also think of it as- his most ideal body and form is with the goal of inhumanity, thus the more he loses of what actually makes him human directly influences what of his body he perceives to be perfect and therefore proud to show to the world

the blanket being the figurative idea of humanity and its literal idea of how much outwardly shown in his physical design:

him covering himself up near the beginning, still mainly the human Viktor we know, but his body is flawed in his eyes, and the blanket is huge and encompassing, covering him up

and in the end, its almost completely showing off and revealing his form that, in his eyes, is almost perfect and ideal, the blanket now a mere ghost of what it once was, only a small part of him covered by it because while he is more Herald than Viktor, he is still in there and able to be saved
