In SVSSS, Shen Yuan just supposes that Shen Jiu hated Luo Binghe because he was jealous that Luo Binghe had a mother. But I think that that reasoning is wrong, or atleast incomplete.

So, we know that Shen Jiu hated the name Shen Qingqiu because it reminded him of Qiu Jianluo. It’s more likely that Shen Jiu started to hate Luo Binghe because of the ‘Luo’ he shared with Qiu Jianluo. Shen Jiu only showed hostility towards Luo Binghe after he learned that his name was Luo Binghe.

Knowing MXTX, this was probably intentional and it just makes the PIDW have an even worse conclusion, because it wasn’t that Shen Jiu incapable of caring for other people as he absolutely loved Ning Yingying and probably even Ming Fan. He might have even been decent with Luo Binghe if it wasn’t for the fact that he shared a part of his name with Qiu Jianluo.

This doesn’t excuse Shen Jiu’s actions but it does make more sense that Shen Yuan’s theory that Shen Jiu was jealous of Luo Binghe for having a mother. Because if that was the case it would make more sense for him to be jealous of Ming Fan or any other disciple who came from a wealthy background.

I rest my case here.

My hot take is that media literacy isn't declining as hard as people say. It has always been shit (see: the reception of Nabokov's "Lolita"). It's just more noticeable now that we have an ability to see all bad takes on the media from a lot of different people.

i know it's not usually my thing to comment on what other people say and do online but i'm genuinely disgusted by how some csm fans reacted to the new chapter. i know opinions vary and tbh everyone is free to interpret it however they want. but seeing comments like "csm is at its peak", "denji finally got what he wanted", "at least he got kissed without vomit", "i was genuinely shocked and happy for denji this chapter" and "wish that was me" left by mostly men under reels shows how little understanding they have when it comes to SA. of course, let's joke and giggle about it cause it's very funny☝🏻😬

i think in a way fujimoto is trying to raise awareness of some issues through denji and it's sad to see that most people completely miss the point of certain chapters.

I've always wanted to see Kiefer in a 'so bad, it's good' 80s style slasher film. I know he has been in some good horror films, but I'm talking along the lines of like Friday the 13th.

Can you imagine Kiefer (playing a character, of course) in a scenario where he goes out with some friends to a local camp site or whatever. Then runs into fucking Siren Head (by Trevor Henderson). Can you imagine the kills? The sound design? Kiefer descending into madness because that fucker can mimic voices/noises?

He manages to outsmart the creature and survive. There's like 100 sequels. We have that lovely follow-up of the aftermath. Poor Kiefer is trying to put his life back together after his closest friends were killed by a thing no one believes in. Finally, he feels comfortable making friends again. Guess what? They love camping too. The therapist says it could be healing for him. Here comes the cliché that big weewoo Siren Head is waiting in the forest and the horror begins a new.

Look, I know it's the most cliché, shitty horror thing. But those kinds of films scratch my brain just right. They entertain me. Plus Kiefer Sutherland suffering and the big weewoo monster? Sign me the fuck up!
