“Geeze,” Danny muttered. “Calm down, Jazz.” Still, he did what she said. He hefted up his backpack, waved goodbye to his shift relief, and dialed her up as he jogged down the library stairs.

“I’ve found two solutions!”

Danny winced at how cheerful his sister’s voice was. “Great!” He tried to match her enthusiasm, despite feeling like something that had been peeled off the sidewalk. He’d ended up working the morning shift on Saturday anyways. “Should I come over?”

“No.” Jazz sounded a little shifty. “I think it’s best if you don’t come over right now.”

“I’m not nuts!” her roommate was faintly audible, as was some kind of repetitive thwap. “We are getting this place fumigated and cleansed and exorcised-

Jazz must have power walked away from poor Tiffany. Her voice faded out. “Ahem.”

Danny pressed his lips together tightly and tried not to laugh. There was a brief space in the conversation where he probably should have said ‘I’m sorry that I made her think your place was haunted.’ But honestly? In a very literal sense, it had been haunted?

“Danny,” Jazz said, in her quiet scary voice, “shut up.”

He shut up even harder than he’d been shutting up before.

She continued in one of her determined tones that meant there was no point in arguing unless it was a hill he was willing to die on. “I am not going to stay in your place because it’s small and scary.”

‘You’re scarier,’ Danny thought mutinously. ‘You’re scarier than anything in my apartment.’

Aloud, he said something else. “Then where?” He did his best to communicate, dummy, via his tone. “I don’t think this is a coffee shop conversation.”

More importantly, he didn’t really have much coffee shop budget. Jazz didn’t have that much either. They were both on scholarships and part time jobs.

“Of course not,” Jazz said practically. “The main Gotham public library is a mid-point and you can rent out a room there for hour blocks. I’ll reserve it online on the way there. I’m halfway to the train station now. What’s your ETA- you just left campus, right?”

Danny looked down at his foot incredulously as he stepped off the final cement stair onto the sidewalk. How did she know that? He looked around dumbly for a know-it-all sister spy plane or something.

“I’ll get a media room from 3-4 pm, that gives you time to stop and get us drinks and snacks. I’ll pay you back, budget of 10 dollars. That sound okay?”

“Fine.” Danny sighed heavily. “Yeah, I can get to that area pretty fast.” He hung up and resigned himself to pushing through foot traffic. He was a lot closer than Jazz was at the moment. He put his head down and ignored the masses of humanity for a little more than 20 minutes of walking. The high lifted roof of the city's main library came into view over the surrounding buildings.

There was a grocery store pretty close by. Danny detoured there and got wrapped sandwiches, chips, and coffees. He hid them all in his backpack just in case the library had a no-food policy.

Then he checked his phone. Jazz had sent him a text telling him the floor and room number in the library. He also had seven missed calls from his parents. That initially freaked him out until he noticed that Dad had sent him a link to an update on the family blog with a string of ghost and wink emojis.

Yeah ok. It wasn't going to be important in the slightest. He ignored his parents.

He jogged the rest of the way to the library and then up the ramp. Danny slipped in the doors and enjoyed the rush of air conditioning. He nodded to the librarian visible from the door and then took the main stairs at an easy pace up to the fourth floor. The rented media room was a straight shot to the back. His sister was waiting to pounce when he opened the door.

“Get back, beast,” Danny said, alarmed. He held his backpack out like it would ward her away.

“Open it!” Jazz demanded.

Holy cow. Uh. He scrambled to unzip it and hold out the plastic shopping bag in offering.

“Gimme gimme, thank you,” Jazz sang and she snatched the snacks from his hands. Danny blew on his fingers pointedly as if her speed burnt his fingertips. She ignored him and unwrapped the ham and cheese at lightning speed.

Oof. Danny kept his fingers a little closer so they didn't get bitten off and side-eyed his big sister as she all but inhaled the sandwich. He popped open the chips bag and ate a couple, feeling a bit freaked out by how ravenous she was. He opened his mouth to comment and then thought better of it.

“Are those for both of us?” Jazz swallowed her sandwich and pointed at the chip bag.

Danny held his hands up and let her take it away. “Geeze,” he said, quietly. He took his own sandwich out from the bag that Jazz had abandoned and ate it at a more normal speed. By the time he'd finished Jazz was content with the chips. He cautiously reached out and fished the bag back towards him. A glance inside showed that she'd left about half.

“So!” Jazz clapped her hands like she had pretensions of being a preschool teacher.

“That body language making you friends at Arkham?” Danny jabbed. He popped a chip in his mouth and crunched down.

Jass casually flipped him off. “Yes, actually,” she said primly. “Dr. Quinn was very complimentary-”

“Before she broke out?” Danny said dryly around a mouthful of chips.

“-and I have formed meaningful clinical bonds with many other patients. But I digress.” She gave him a version of her smug face. She, as always, looked like that meme of the knife cat. “I have two solutions for you.”

I don't know if y'all realize how deeply absorbed I've fallen into this. I think about being bigger all the time. I am spending most of my days in bed, eating, getting high, playing with myself, repeat. Its been this way for maybe 2ish months now. I'm under 600 steps most days.

My mobility has been suffering a lot. I'm so lazy I prefer to have all of my food brought to me. Don't want to have to go down the stairs. I'm at a point where I usually rest for a moment halfway up the stairs to catch my breath. Walking is usually okay, unless I have to talk during and then it can get breathy 🙈 kinda embarrassing. but i love what I'm doing to myself, its so hot and I absolutely can't wait to be worse.

I eat as much as I can, I want to stretch my gut out and be constantly full of food. I stuff my face and read encouraging messages from y'all about how of course I can fit in a few more cookies.. its all so tempting. I love to please 🥺 I bet if you were hand feeding me I wouldn't be able to say no

I've been so into intox lately,, especially forced intox 🙈 I play a game in my messages where anytime anyone sends me a smoke emoji I take a hit from my weed pen. Some folks send one hit and some send ten 😵🥴 and I just keep puffing away and frying my brain 🍳🧠😵

Borderline nsfw is okay, as long as I can imply it. I do not write amab characters, meaning no amab readers and no straight ships. No Arlefuri. Reader will default to gender-neutral, unless requested afab. I love writing AUs, so please send me some! I'm open to ANY AU (as long as it pertains to my rules). I can write fluff, angst, crack, etc. You can request for a continuation of my other works as well, which you can find in my masterlist. I don’t think there needs to be a lot of analysis to justify Heizou being a sub, it’s fairly intentionally in your face in both hangout and ahem, birthday “yawning” art, because that’s the most most obvious bottom “O-face” since Gorou’s “moaning and tearing up over the bowl of onions” emoji.

First of all, on how well you’re keeping up with his hyperactive ADHD goblin nature, and second, he’ll leave the unspoken puzzle and see if you’ll manage to figure it out.

He’s open for experimentation and fairly shameless, but how far he’ll go pretty much depends on if he judges you competent enough for this.

Like, meeting him in the hangout starts with him openly calling Traveler “so dreamy”, and then he lets the Traveler decide what course of action to take, but only divulges hidden information after the Traveler showed that they have a deeper understanding of a situation and connected several puzzle dots themselves.

His inner conflict is when it’s immoral or not to withhold information and does it depend on how capable a person given this information is. The law does not really factor into this, Heizou will act on his own principles instead.

Like in the hangout case he only tells the Traveler that he will follow their choice (see above) after the Traveler presents him with the evidence and proves they have sound judgment.

So he’d *LIKE* to let someone else make decisions, but he wants to make sure that someone else is qualified. So he won’t like outright lie, but he will withhold context if you don’t show him that you get it.

Then he can get quite clingy, like telling Traveler that he’d love to have them as a partner all the time, haha he’s joking, he wouldn’t want to be so greedy…UNLESS???

In a situation where he does trust the other person’s competence, he likes to feel helpless, overpowered and needy, if you indulge him in it. His ideal situation is where you understand that he’s smart and capable himself and he doesn’t strictly need you to take charge, but would enjoy it.

He wants to have fun without anyone making it too weird, and he wants to know you have a clear head on your shoulders, that’s it.

One day while you’re walking down the street near your home, a group of obvious miscreants runs by and a young man in white shirt and brown shorts follows them. The last of ruffians shoves him while they’re running past you and you catch him to stop him from hitting a corner of a house with his head. When the bandit looks back, you instinctively shield a man in your arms with your shoulder, and the bandit obviously judges it not worth the trouble, runs away.

When you look at the man you’re holding, he’s looking up at you with a wide smile, bright green eyes twinkling.

“Oh, thank you, my savior!”

“I didn’t do anything,” you say, putting him upright. “Are you okay?”

“Yeah, sure, I’m fine!” he suddenly pauses, looks you over and says in a weaker tone, leaning into you. “I mean, I’m a little not fine, nothing major, but perhaps if someone could look after me for just a little bit?...”

You take him to get coffee just to keep an eye on him and end up talking for hours. His name is Heizou, he’s flirty, fun and cute, has ruffled mauve hair and little twin moles under his eyes, asks more questions than he’d like to answer about himself, wears a choker and a shirt that leaves his sides bare, and would very obviously love to get dommed from how he talks to you. But you cannot in good conscience take advantage of him now, because his eagerness might be an effect from the shock, so you let him go.

Day later you talk with a neighbor and he mentions how the young detective who from his words meets Heizou’s description just caught a group of pickpockets.

“Detective, huh?” you ask out loud, and some things that didn’t make sense before fall into place. Like an exaggerated weak affect and how eagerly he pushed himself on you.

Couple of days after you walk into a confrontation in one of the secluded courtyards on the way to your home. There’s Heizou and opposite of him a group headed by the large white-haired oni. It looks incredibly awkward and staged.

“Oh, it’s my savior again!” Heizou says coquettishly, smiling at you. “Hello there! It seems you’re just in time to save me once again.”

“From what?” you say calmly, crossing your arms.

“From being mugged, of course.”

“So these guys need to be arrested, huh?”

A tall oni starts shifting nervously, looking back and forth from you to Heizou.

“Hey, hey, we didn’t agree on…”

A green-haired woman elbows him and he stumbles.

“I mean, you can’t arrest us, we’re big bad bandits, rawr!”

You ignore him, looking Heizou straight in the eyes. He pauses for a second, then pretends to be fainting in your direction. You catch him, rolling your eyes. Green-haired woman punches the oni in his side and they run away with the entire group.

“Oh, thank you,” Heizou says, looking artistically disheveled in your arms.

“No problem, Detective,” you say coldly and he tenses, straightens up.

“So you know…”

“Yeah. And I don’t appreciate being played for a fool.”

“Listen, it’s not like that… It’s just that I... I wanted you to treat me like a sub, but you didn’t do anything after we first met, and I thought maybe if you see me in an even weaker state...”

“I didn’t do anything because you seemed too irrational from shock. If you just told me the truth that you’re detective and were fine, you’d be spread on my bed few nights ago.“

He blushes, but his green eyes light up.

“I would? Oh, I mean, I am fine and we cleared the misunderstandings, so?... Um? About spreading?“

You shake your head, narrowing your eyes.

“Only come to me if you’re ready to drop your bullshit. I’m sure you can figure out how to find me, Detective.“

“Hey there!” he’s bouncing on your threshold a day after with the widest obnoxious smile, and you wouldn’t see the tinge of nervousness under it if you weren't paying attention. “So you said I can come if I dropped the bullshit and um, you can pat me over, including cavity search if you want, to make sure I haven’t got any on me”

You roll your eyes, hooking your fingers under his choker, pull him close and kiss him. He stumbles for a second, but then melts, throws his arms around your neck and presses against you. You can feel him getting hard as you pull him towards the bedroom and then throw him roughly onto the bed. He looks up, his green eyes sparkling in delight.

“Cavity search?” you say incredulously, crawling over him to slide your hands under his shirt and pulling off both of his layers. “That was terrible.”

“I know, I know, I panicked,” he moves his arms to help you get the shirt off, then pulls frantically at the ties of the armguards. “I was going to say you have a search warrant, but somehow it turned into a cavity search.”

“You’re lucky you’re so cute,” you grin against his cheek and pull his pants and underwear off in one smooth motion. He gasps, and when you grab his ankles and forcefully spread his legs, he blushes but looks you straight in the eye, already fully hard and breathless in excitement.

“I am? I mean, of course I am, but do tell me more about it.”

“It wasn’t a very hard deduction to make,” you hook your fingers under his choker, lifting him up, and he follows, grinning under the bitten lip. He’s so lovely in how blushing and eager he is while you’re closing the leash on his neck, looking up at you from under the ruffled bangs.

You turn him around, so that he leans against the bedrest and he giggles, settling down on his knees.

“Oh, great, I wasn’t sure how to breach the subject of… consequences of being naughty.”

“You don’t try playing hard to get, do you?” you grin, slide your hand from his intentionally arched back to caress smooth skin of the perky ass, obviously and eagerly presented for you.

“No, why, would you want me to?” he shoots you a sharp glance over the shoulder, analytical even now.

8. OCs? Absolutely! I love seeing your OCs. Make sure to send in a description of them either beforehand or in your starter (unless Riddle doesn't know your character at all, I guess - but it would still help to have a general overview). If there's nothing of the sort, I will automatically assume that your character and Riddle have never met. However, I am not comfortable with the first interaction with an OC being a romantic one, as it has become a problem before for me.

9. I can speak a little bit of Japanese (my parents are Japanese but I haven't actually tried to learn it well so it may be messy (though I'm working on it)) and I am learning Spanish (in school) so! I am willing to write replies using those languages as well as English (and I will automatically use honorifics like "-senpai" for upperclassmen so keep that in mind). Spanish I can't guarantee though because it kind of can suck (as well as Japanese).

10. I also love shipping and am not very selective (I love seeing rare pairs, and in general seeing how their ship would work out). So, feel free to do that too! Before they get into a relationship, though, they need to have at least some sort of interaction beforehand (because I want to get to know you too, and even if you're playing a canon character, I still want to do some regular stuff first) To add to that, I am a multishipper, so each relationship happens in its own verse.

After paying more attention to Yuta I can now agree with the author, his crush on WinWin was real, same with Woo (although this new one is less serious). And he is probably bi, he just wants to love and to be loved (the words he said about Doyoung, but in truth are about him). When I just came to the fandom, YuWin was super popular, much more than YuMark. Many said Yuta had a real crush. As a newbie I thought it was the normal shipper's talk and YuWin was just fanservice. It's after I saw Yuta with Woo I went back and reevaluated YuWin (that, and NCT Life in Seoul). I think it was a Yuta and Hansol moment that persuaded me Yuta is bi. He was young and couldn't control himself yet (same goes for JaeDo, they were much more obvious with their flirting and crushes, as well as reactions to other men, during trainee times).

I know there are rumours about Yuta dating a man nowadays, he was seen with him in cafes and such, but I don't know how grounded the rumours are as I don't specifically look for more info on the topic.

I had a post on DoYu, the shift. Yuta started to change his attitude earlier than the anniversary. During Chain era, if I remember correctly.

Yuta always liked Do, he was just jealous of him. Yuta wanted to be a singer in the group, he didn't want the dancer position he was basically pushed into. Remember how he said he once bought a ticket to Japan without telling anyone, it was Rino who stopped him and made him believe that he also has a spot, a role in the group, that everyone is important.

We don't talk about the elephant in the room, but Yuta did several cosmetic surgeries, he had (and still has) problems with self image. Do's nosejob just lifted up the tip of the nose, Yuta really changed his face. And 2017-early 2018 was his lowest time, I think. He became a changed person with Regular (he accepted his dancer position, started dancing properly, started taking singing lessons and actually consulted Do on vocals, seeked his help).

I think DoYu getting closer was the result of Yuta himself changing for the better (he stopped being envious and petty) and JaeDo being an example of following their feelings (getting together instead of supressing), coming out to the group and being accepted.

I'm positive Yuta has no crush when it comes to Mark, he is just comfortable with him. I don't know about Tae, however, I doubt it (I don't remember any sus moments). The crush on Woo is probably over, but I need to watch something and re-evaluate.

I've never considered Yuta having a crush on Do, to be honest... I do think it's plausible looking at Yuta's behaviour (he is Do's secret fanboy, actually listens to his non-NCT songs). Not a developed crush, just "ah, what a nice person, I get these fuzzy feelings when he cares about me". A possibility that never was explored because Jaehyun claimed Do first. A crush on a dear friend. DoYu wouldn't have happened in any case though, I always struggle with this ship in fanfics, it's just hard to imagine. Yuta noticeably goes soft when someone shows him love, he craves love.

A huge part of my family also are from corsica! Like a big part. They left the island to live elsewhere but my generation (like myself and cousins) decided to visit and see it throughout my life. The language is like a blend of French and Italian but more Italian. If you learned French though it wouldn’t be that bad but yeah, I agree that Italian might help better since the sound of the language is more similar. Your ear will be better at picking up certain words if that makes sense. Honestly, the island is beautiful and the people are proud but I wouldn’t fear them. Unless you came and tried to start drama with the locals. Like one time I saw a guy get slapped by a restaurant owner for acting rude, trying to smoke without a tray and leaving a mess. They DONT PLAY😂 there are some who don’t care about the mainland, some who find jobs in France and are fine and others that hate that France still owns the island and wants independence now. Having a family that are native to the island might help you out since you have a purpose of visiting. I’m not fully white either so the locals assuming I was a Parisian was slim. So my experiences have been my own. I overall thought it was nice to visit but I can also sense stress too from the locals whenever France exercised control on the island like banning the local native language from government. The idea is that the people are Corsican first, not French. (Like Apple hasn’t even released a Corsica flag emoji yet so they have to use France)

I’ve lived on other islands like hawai’i and the Canary Islands too for a bit and I saw some similarities. The people native to island are Hawaiian first with their own culture and language. Same with locals of the Canary Islands to Spain. They are first Canarian, then Spanish. But I don’t see them hate Spain that much like in Corsica, they’re just upset over dumb, entitled tourists.

I think the feelings of resentment is the price paid for being an islander owned by bigger, richer countries.

How to Start a Blog: A Satire

Hi, over the past week and a half I’ve been on a blog kick, or rather a “I want to start a blog because I have no creative outlet” kick. What I learned is that designing a blog, or any website for that matter, is incredibly difficult and very frustrating. So, I have taken it upon myself to make a how to guide on creating a blog. It’ll be fun, c'mon let’s go!

Step 1: Realize you want to start a blog even though you’ve never shown that much interest in writing because all you’ve ever written were school essays, but you convince yourself you did good on those essays, hence why you should start a blog. (extra points if you realize this on your way home from the beach)

Step 2: Decide on a blog platform! There are numerous websites where you can house your blog, the trick is picking one. Wix is good, if you want your blog header to look deformed on mobile even though it looks *perfect* on desktop. Another popular site is WordPress, unless you have a degree in designing websites, you’re basically screwed. Or maybe I just wasn’t blessed with the website design genes in my family. Thanks mom. Weebly is that one you had to make a power point on in your 7th grade English class and since then it’s just left a bad taste in your mouth. There’s several others but I think whoever coded them watched The Social Network one time and decided they wanted to be the new Mark Zuckerberg. Anyways, step 3 anybody?

Step 3: Time to pick a theme *insert random aesthetic emojis here because my HP laptop has the worst emojis I have EVER seen* Depending on what you want to focus your blog on will be the deciding factor on your theme. Are you a gamer? Choose a color palette that has lots of purples, blues, and neon colors. But are you narrowing it down to a certain video game? Use the games colors in your blog. A beauty blog you say? Pink, white, and lots of light colors, possibly some pastels if you’re feeling spontaneous. 

Step 4: The time has come to decide between designing your blog from scratch OR picking a premade template that looks awesome but when you try to edit it to match your theme it looks worse than if you had started from scratch. 

Step 5: Put all the decisions you made to work! Now absolutely forget about everything except your theme because all you will focus on for days is making the header look like God hand crafted it himself. You will fail many times but that’s okay, just get back up on the horse and convince yourself to come back to it later. Work on the layout, how is the home page going to look? What pictures do you want to use? Do you need to go find aesthetic stuff of Pinterest to make your blog look better because the only pictures good enough to be online are your graduation pictures and the pictures of your dog that your mom sends you to combat your anxiety, I mean pet pictures are cute yes put them on the blog, in fact make it a blog ABOUT your pet. I guarantee more people will read it if you do that. Can we go to step 6 now please?

Step 6: This step is personally my least favorite and takes the longest. You will bounce between steps 2, 3, 4, and 5 because you aren’t satisfied with anything you have created so far :)

Step 7: Complain about it to your friend in which she asks you, “Is it worth it?” and you respond with the truth that its probably not worth it but you need a creative outlet and have convinced yourself that you aren’t good at anything else.

Step 8: You’re tired aren’t you? That’s okay, let’s take a break. How was your day? Did you do anything fun? Oh you didn’t leave your house because you’ve been trying to make a blog all day. Yeah that happens, but that’s why we’re taking a break now! Go drink some water, eat a sandwich, don’t get on social media though, you’ll never come back to read the rest of my how to guide.

Step 9: You have finally handcrafted something that kind of looks like a blog, this is the part where you realize you set your design expectations too high and you’re actually really liking the simple, minimalistic vibe that you’ve somehow created. Now step 9 is making your domain name, which is the URL people will go to when they want to visit your blog. Coming up with a domain name is like making a new password. Everything you think of has already been used. The issue is you can’t make Ilovetaylorswift123! your domain name... (for clarification that is not my real password, I made that up in like three seconds.) This step is a two parter because I’m feeling chaotic today. As you are getting frustrated about not being able to come up with a good domain name, you realize that the blog platform you used that said you’d get a free domain name, is only half true because somehow, someway, you will be paying for this gosh darn blog- both with money and your sanity.

Step 10: Congratulations, you’ve made it, here’s your trophy in the form of what was supposed to be my first blog post but after claiming that I will in fact not be paying their absurd prices, I came to my early high school second home- Tumblr. One blog platform I didn’t mention in step 2 was Tumblr and there’s a reason for that. It’s not necessarily a traditional platform for a blog and readers have to have an account with Tumblr so when you share the link to your friends, a cute little box pops up that says “Ah, now. You need clearance for that.” and asks them to make an account. Which makes sense because Tumblr IS a social media platform so no hate to them for that. 

In conclusion, (because like I said, I have convinced myself I was very good at school essays) making a blog is hard and not for the faint of heart. You’ll need a solid plan, knowledge on how to use the blog platform you’ve chosen, and money for the domain name. But if you’re like me and don’t have any of those, that’s okay! Because there will always be somewhere for you to share your writings, your passions, and your truths.

As for your question, I didn’t really do anything in specific… I posted a few stories and tagged according to what characters I was writing for. I think one of them sort of blew up and helped me gain quite a few interactions. Though I never really posted with the expectation to create a huge following or anything, I just wanted to share my filthy thoughts that even 1 or two people might have enjoyed. I am however really happy that there’s quite a few of you who seem to love my silly little stories.

I will say that interacting with other writers is a great way for them to notice you and create those fun, mutual relationships where you talk about writing and the fandom and share each others work. I always check out the accounts that frequently comment and reblog and have come across awesome blogs and writers that way. So I’d say definitely interact with others because it’s almost inevitable that you’ll have them interact back with you:)

And be patient too. I didn’t post one night and wake up with a thousand followers or anything. I started my blog back in March or April, so it does take some time to build any sort of following, no matter what you’re posting.

I find that my fics do better when I have some photos or some sort of gif/mood board at the beginning. However I’ve been pretty wary since my whole account flagging situation a while back. But in general, adding visuals like photos or gifs really draws the eye to the work and makes me want to press keep reading. As well, having (somewhat) decent grammar and fairly organized writing within your work helps a lot. If your work is clear and easy to read, it’s so much more likely that people will enjoy it and end up sharing it:)
