"You came with us," He said to their tooka. "How sweet."

Phee rolled her eyes. "Sweet." She scoffed. "You don't know the meaning of that word, Brown Eyes. She's evil."

"She's sweet." Tech corrected. "You're sweet, too."

Phee froze. "How much pain are you in?" She asked with a soft laugh.

"A lot," Tech admitted. "But that doesn't make my words less genuine."

Her breath caught in her throat, and her hands shook minutely.

"Sure." Phee waved him off, concentrated.
