zoo wee mama this bitch has veiny hands <3 they go well w his BEEFY ASS forearms n biceps !! jason is so yummy ugh but anyways. he rarely ever wears jewlery i feel. only ever one ring on his middle finger and its just a plain band, silver with no engravings. his nails r kinda long-ish, bc he grew up with wolves and like he used to scratch people as a child i just know it. he can't stand if his nails are super long but he doesn't keep them as short as frank. his nails are actually really well kept ??? he only ever wears clear nail polish on them. also i feel like he uses hand lotion n shit ?? fancy ass

aughhhhhh he also doesn't have super veiny hands ?? theyre like just veiny enough tee hee. his hands + fingers r very calloused from all the work he does ( yk he's good w his hands �� ) so they're kinda rough. his nails are short bitch. like short short. he grew up biting them so like. theyre short. i feel like he would only ever wear rings on super special occasions because he doesn't want them to get messed up while he's working. he definitely has a couple of scars on his hands from accidents he's had while working or just when he's being clumsy asf. he paints his nails a lot but it always chips after like twenty minutes.

FRANK ZHANG

this. mf. has big hands. theyre real veiny and they're BIG. they're really soft n always warm <3 he won't wear any other ring except for one his mother left him, its gold and it has his last name engraved on it. his nails r pretty short, thats just how he likes to keep them. i personally can't see frank ever painting his nails but maybe he'll let you do it just once, because it makes you happy. he'll take it off like an hour after but only because he doesn't like the way it feels on his nails.

since shes new you have taken to hovering around her during IHAs to make sure shes safe.. you have probably picked her up to your chest and made a run for it. like literally just pomni held flat to you and you just running with her. silly, i think

RAGATHA:

one of my favorite ragatha headcannons that lowkey becoming a given and my go to; she makes you accessories to go on your ears! bows and ribbons and the like! she thinks you look so so cute; vaguely reminds her of a bunny doll she used to have in her childhood, at least thats her guess judging by the warped and murky memories of her old life in the real world. has accidentally left you behind because you were spacing out and thinking about whatever it is that goes on in your head... thinks youre as sweet as can be, probably calls you "carrot cake" or something along the lines

messes with your long droopy ears. not uncommon for him to just grab one and run his thumb over you false fur and fabric. he thinks youre too soft; literally and metaphorically. you make a great cuddle buddy and give great hugs, but youre just too nice for your own good. and on the off chance that youre actually paying attention when hes setting up a prank for someone, you put a stop to it. pulling pranks is mean, especially jax's style of pranks! you cant have that!

jax definitely pouts off to the side when you sabotage him.. youd think the two bunny folk would get along with one another!

well its not like you guys dont get along, youre too nice for that and sometimes i feel like jax's conscious would step in at least once and he would try to be nicer to you, at least for a day

sometimes he likes snuggling into you within the pillow fort, your body is just so soft and warm and comforting, youre literally just a giant teddy bear- er... bunny! stuffed bunny! honestly he probably hangs around you more than he would hang around a normal reader simply because youre just so sweet and soft, as well as inviting. you both tend to space out together.. do you think he accidentally put you in the walls of his pillow fort, before he realized you were a whole person ? like do i think kinger is that dense? no, but i do think that the thought it really really funny and silly and i can definitely see it as a gag

ZOOBLE:

tries to pretend that theyre not into how soft and comfy you are.... but they find themselves subtly leaning into you when youre nearby. i would say that they would be blunt with wanting to be held or wanting a hug like they are with everything else.. but i think when it comes to affection, zooble can be a little... eh... like theyre bad at saying what they want when they want it, at least verbally.. your softness makes up for the fact that they feel like those hard plastic kids toys

sometimes get a little annoyed by your... empty eyed look... because sometimes its really hard to tell when youre paying attention or not

GANGLE:

I think I might've mentioned this exact duo before, though I may be wrong about that. Regardless, I've had Many A Thought about the potential dynamic between Lindsay "reclaiming bimbo as a term of empowerment" and Noah "could be god's biggest hater but was nerfed with an inability to GAF", to the point where I have a few drafts exploring this exact concept.

Through the lens of my eyes (blurry as it would be, my prescription fairly strong), I don't think Noah would ever consider manipulating Lindsay- at least, not in a similar manner to the likes of Heather or Alejandro. He's shown in canon to be pretty adverse to the idea. Why else would he make those comments about Alejandro in "I See London..."?

Not that he doesn't think about how easy it would be to use her. But his morality wins out over his scheming thoughts pretty quickly- no one wants to be New Heather, after all.

However, he's also shown a capacity to explore sneakier options of deception and trickery; pretending to pass out during the 20k run in The Big Sleep, trying to excuse his comment about Alejandro under the guise of it "being a compliment where he's from", tricking the Sasquatch with his fake ball throwing, getting himself eliminated on purpose in Dodgebrawl. I'm trying to think of other examples In Canon off the top of my head, but I'm coming up short since most of his actual speaking lines in the show are 'zingers' and 'witty one-liners' instead of actual character moments.

And we also know, from the way he treats Owen, that he's a lot more patient and indulgent towards the... 'slower' or 'simpler' contestants. He very rarely gets mad at Owen's mistakes- see how he gently chastises him in "Super Happy Crazy Fun Time Japan" when he's disturbing their set, he'd pretty much gentle parenting him, or how he doesn't even raise his voice against Owen after being blasted by nose-shake in "I See London...". You could argue that Owen just has best friend privileges, but given the way he also talks about his dog I think Noah just has a soft spot for happy-go-lucky, heart-of-gold, kind of stupid people (and blondes). Sound familiar?

Lindsay would fall under this umbrella of 'treat with kindness' because of this, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't try to subtly nudge her in the 'right direction'- out of Heather's and/or Alejandro's influence and into his own. For her own safety, of course.

Not that I think he'd even like Lindsay at first. The two of them are opposite ends of the social spectrum; I'd take a while for Lindsay to break through his snarky exterior, but I think eventually Noah would realise that she isn't the 'two-faced airhead popular girl' he'd assumed her to be and quickly warm up to her (she's airheaded, sure, but there's nothing two-faced or nefarious/mean-spirited about Lindsay). It's a classic case of "extrovert adopts introvert".

Meanwhile, Lindsay would be dead-set on breaking Noah out of his sour little shell. Either because she overhears Owen/Izzy/Eva explaining how Noah struggles to make friends because he's "very shy" and "mixes up his insults and his compliments", thus she assumes that, hey, Noah's made fun of her a few times, maybe that was just him trying to be friendly? So she makes it her mission to reciprocate his efforts and befriend him (much to Noah's initial suspicion, and begrudging appreciation).

Or she gets the concept of a 'gay best friend' stuck in her head (an impressive feat, getting anything stuck in such a vacant space /j) probably from watching too many high school teen dramas, and sees Noah as the ideal candidate since he pretty much embodies most of the stereotypical GBF traits; a sassy twink who's defining characteristic is making snarky comments. If Noah ever caught wind of this, he'd either be mortified by the concept and avoid Lindsay like the plague until she'd eventually hunt him down, or he'd think the whole concept is too funny to pass up and gladly play the part- if only for his own amusement. (Personally I headcanon him as bi, but he's so canonically queer coded that he fits the stereotype anyway.)

Which is all just a long-winded way of me saying I think Lindsay would kindle the friendship without giving Noah much of a choice (again, extrovert adopting introvert) and Noah would just go along with it, being the lazy guy he is, and quickly grow fond/protective over her.

If he and Owen are the golden retriever and black cat dynamic, Noah and Lindsay are an afghan hound and a black cat; Noah has a lot of black cat energy (that's just a given) and you cannot tell me that Lindsay isn't an afghan hound- they're pretty, gentle-natured and renown for their low intelligence.

Plus, Lindsay's capacity for meanness (as unintentional as it may be) would be comedy gold to Noah. He'd encourage her to keep that sharp tongue and steel spine, if not for his own entertainment, then to ensure she doesn't become someone else's doormat again. In return, Lindsay would bring out a softer side of Noah, likely a result of her reminding him of his several older sisters.

She'd absolutely abuse her 'soft Noah' privileges too by roping him in on sleepovers where the two of them gossip and paint each other's nails (Noah's against the idea at first but Lindsay hits him with the puppy eyes and he folds like a lawn chair), eventually leading to Lindsay giving Noah a much needed glow up. He finds himself enjoying the pampering- though he'd never admit it- and Lindsay's just ecstatic that she has someone to use as a dress-up doll (Tyler wouldn't let her give him another makeover after Paris).

im not gonna do all of them (grimms game) since its a lot and i didnt post the rest of them yet, so lets just stick to main trio and the sadist duo bc i post those 5 the most akjbsc

abel

bro sleeps in his boxers and whatever shirt/top he finds and is comfy enough to sleep in (sometimes shirtless when its warm). he got problems w sleeping tho (insomnia and nightmares) so he doesnt rlly get a healthy amount of sleep like he should (but he learned to function despite that) - v chaotic sleeper, absolutely drools in his sleep and gets the worst bed hair bc he turns a lot in his sleep. always kicks off his blankets and likes hugging pillows or anything similar (holding onto smth in his sleep gives him comfort) - in his worst nights he wakes up crying and needs some time to come back to his senses.

mars

wears soft comfy sweatpants (or shorts when its too warm) and loose shirts. shes a night owl and goes to bed rather late but gets up earlier than the guys (she still gets enough sleep she needs) - shes no chaotic sleeper, doesnt snore, doesnt drool, nothing. one of the few ppl who can actually fall asleep right away as soon as their head hits the pillow (how???). has a light sleep and is alert right away when woken up by noise (experience from her life on the streets). u often see her sleeping curled up like a cat as if to protect herself.

tay

actually wears pjs. gets to bed early, is a heavy sleeper and sleeps normal amounts (mars is always the first whos awake, then tay and abel is last by far). he always needs a bit to wake up properly but once hes back to the living hes always the brightest sunshine in the morning (as he usually is). tends to babble and snore sometimes (not loud tho, just lil huffs sometimes)

youri + kaia

those two you wonder if they ever sleep bc they seem like they never rest. kaia also suffers from insomnia and nightmares so shes usually forced to sleep regularly with the help of strong medication to get some rest at least. she only sleeps if youri is awake and around her bc once asleep shes out cold and vulnerable.

youri is a very light sleeper and alert and ready at all times so whenever he guards he uses the time to rest and recharge. when he actually sleeps its only for a few hours and not when kaia is asleep.

theyre both very silent sleepers you could mistake for dead (or awake and just fooling you). abel can usually only tell that youri is actually sleeping and not just resting his eyes or smth by the way his face softens a bit when hes asleep.

I’m curious of other’s opinions on this: out of all the suitors, who is the most believable and least believable for “Belle” to actually fall in love with? Basically, how realistic would it actually be for her to fall in love with one of them?

I based my rankings based off a mix of Belle’s personality and the actual story and how it plays out - i tried to be as least biased as i possibly could lol

My ranking would be:

1. Leon: i picked Leon as most believable because of how quickly she warmed up to him and how compatible their communication styles are. They’re honestly almost too perfect that it makes me wanna gag (sorry Leon lovers lol)

2. Keith: He comes in 2nd similarly to Leon, the nice Keith and Belle get along so well and it seems like she has a soft spot for him from the get-go. It’s believable to me also because of how his story was written and i could definitely see MC ending up with him.

3. Rio: The boy next door has to be believable. Poor Rio lol. I put him 3rd because she has to get past seeing him as a friend which is a small obstacle, but it is totally believable because theyre already super close and it would make sense.

4. Chevalier: the “true” route. I love their story, and given their personalities, i think it was very well written for both of them to compliment each other. They have just enough in common to keep the stability, but also love languages to help learned and keep the spark alive.

5. Gilbert: the “bad boy”. He is believable to me because the slow progression makes sense, and you can see how both of them compliment each other and pique their interest of the other as well. It seems like a natural progression, and it’s one that we can see coming.

6. Clavis: the class clown. One of my favorite routes 🥰. I think the dynamic between Belle and Clavis are so quirky, that it works. It makes sense once she learns more about Clavis that she would fall for him.

7. Licht: Sweet emo baby. My first love. I put him lower on the list because he’s harder to actually get to know, so the likelihood of her truly being interested in him at first is likely low, but once she finds out he’s a sweet baby - she will be smitten and will fall.

8. Sariel: Daddy issues. I actually really like his route and i genuinely believe this could happen, the only reason hes lower on the list is because i think it would be less likely that Belle would sacrifice her “professionalism” but i do still think it’s a believable story!

9. Silvio: Loveable asshole. Okay, listen - i’m sorry Silvio stans… i ranked Silvio lower because it would take a lot longer for her to warm up to him… especially the way he talks to her - and quite frankly, with all the other options around, why would she fall for him when theres so many other princes?? BUT… i do think his route is very believable for what it is and i did enjoy it personally

10. Nokto: emo playboy. Let’s be real, she would be so turned off by his bullshit, i find it hard to believe she would even think twice about wanting to get to know him. When she does, i don’t think she would want to be more than friends.

11. Luke: Baby bear. I cant picture them together because of how young he seems honestly 😣

12. Jin: Titty idiot. His route felt so wrong and weird to me… it felt forced and awkward. This just doesn’t feel like a good match and it doesn’t seem like a natural progression to me. He doesn’t have much of a personality, and they both just don’t seem to fit

13. Yves: Baby girl. I cant take him seriously as a lover when even the game suggested that Belle questioned he may be queer. (Nothing wrong with this at all, just doesnt fit the narrative they are selling). I LOVE YVES and everyone needs one in their life, but he’s not believable as a lover… and we all know why 🙃

like man look at leafpool!!! theres clearly so much care put into her plushie. her super pretty amber brown color being vibrant and warm contrasting with her nicely placed little white paws and belly, her hazel eyes and little pink nose. the tabby stripe patterns on her fur were clearly intentionally drawn, from the M shape on her forehead to the swirl pool(!!!) pattern on her side, which is not the kind of detail youd see on an average cat plushie. even though she has no particularly remarkable features of her own you can really TELL that this is supposed to be leafpool it really feels like her and not a random tabby cat plush. the fur on the plushies looks really soft and theyre 35 cm long which is a very good size while plushies this big often are more expensive. theres absolutely care and effort put into these plushies by someone who probably actually knows and cares for the characters and theyre so good

i dont think theyre actually very different in my mind than in the series. like. i used to think dororo being like her dad was a fabrication of my brain but no he really IS sometimes. his first dialogue in the show is asking her how she likes her new school. like. they’re one of those dynamics i like where i dont think there’s any improving on it. it’s pretty much the best version of itself as is.

I HAVE to like it bc dororo is my favorite character ever and koyuki is One Of my favorite characters in the series. i love found family. i Love Besties. i love autistic people. theyre just Very Fun, and Very Cute, and Very Funny, and Very Important

what about the individual characters involved? what does this relationship mean to them, what makes it unique among their relationships?

GOD IT HAS TO BE SO SO IMPORTANT TO BOTH OF THEM. LIKE. lets start with koyuki. She seems to be an orphan but aside from that her family situation is unknown, like idk if she ever HAD parents she Knew or not, and the ninja village she spent Most of her childhood in was kind of Against the formation of too Soft & Close of relationships. One of her lifelong friends Mukuro was always firmly against koyuki calling them friends because Ninjas Don’t Have Friends, and another one of her friends would help her out when she got tired or hurt during training as a little kid & she said he might get in trouble because he wasn’t Supposed to help her. Koyuki had friends anyway because she’s just that nice and determined but she wasn’t really SUPPOSED to and i don’t know how many people were close to her in like. A Warm Way Conducive To A Child Who Is Growing Up. Dororo is sort of Her Only Family, and he’s also the one Consistent part of her life - she had to say goodbye to all the people she’d known for her entire life when the ninja village was disbanded, and had to move on to a life completely different from anything she was used to, BUT Dororo had been living in the village for a few years (is the timeline I tend to go with) before that so she gets to have ONE properly familiar thing With her in her new life.

For dororo. First of all. Koyuki is the ONE person he knows that he has absolutely 0 grudge of any kind against. He’s at least a tiny little bit angry at everyone else he knows but koyuki has never done anything wrong to him ever in her life. She also like. Saved His Life. In the straightforward literal momentary sense and also in the existential metaphorical sense of when you experience a change so drastic that it completely changes you and then you look back and go I USED TO BE LIKE THAT?? THANK GOD I GOT OUT like . She literally saved his life when she found him caught in a trap which it has to be said was kind of a big deal for him already because he was taught to expect humans to be violent and cruel, don’t join the military. & she took him back to her village and took CARE of him and helped train him 2 be a ninja and indirectly/unintentionally showed him some of the Best of earth & humanity and the kinds of things he thinks are Beautiful and he got his life changed and threw the old life out and became someone he likes more. And she is always nice to him and is the one person who never forgets him :)

They just care about each other so much!!!! They both have other very close friends but they’re definitely each others closest friends on a very deep level. They consider it a Given that they are going to keep being best friends & family forever. Soulmates (familial)

NOOOOhow am i supposed to choose…. most of their interactions are really sweet or funny……. ummmm…. I like just sort of. Everything that’s about their friendship in 184. Koyuki noticing something is Weird with dororo and immediately spending her whole day making a protective charm for him. their friendship literally saving his life again in that koyuki (not for the first time) uses her awesome powers of Being Very Determined and Caring So So Deeply About Her Friends to overcome magic that’s supposed to be completely controlling her, & is able to just redirect her sword a little to hit the charm she made instead of hitting him.

Also I really like the scene in movie 2 where tamama goes “i feel like we’re forgetting someone” and koyuki immediately holds up dororo and goes “dororo’s here!” it’s really funny

Pitaya is so very rough on the outside, but on the inside? Soft. A big ol kitty cat.

They won’t ask to be pet, but they WILL grab your arms and put your hands on their head.

Purrs loud as hell when you pet them.

Oversized lapdog — they will do whatever it takes to curl up on top of you.

They honestly didn’t know how touch-starved they were until they met you.

Pitaya is always super warm on account of where they are from. They enjoy being your personal heated blanket on cold nights.

Hollyberry often invites you and Pitaya to parties at her castle. It amuses her to see her old rival in fancy threads, looking like they’d rather be ANYWHERE else while their partner totes them along.

Hollyberry is impressed that you, in her words, “managed to tame the beast.”

Pitaya bristles and insists that they are not tamed. This is immediately disproven when you tell them to stand down, to which they sigh and say, “yesss, dear.”

Their tail never healed properly on account of how they’re a TERRIBLE medic (“I ssstopped the bleeding.” “You plugged the wound with leaves.” “…But I ssstopped the bleeding.”) so it gets sore from time to time. Alleviate this with kisses and massages.

^^You will have to play doctor when they get into scraps with random warriors and knights looking to prove themselves.

They have an eye for gold jewelry. It’s their favorite gift to both receive and give (they think gold looks extra good on you).

^^Uneducated in mortal courtship, Pitaya was VERY confused at your reaction when they unassumingly presented you with a pair of matching gold rings.

They’re a bit of a hothead, so they will leap directly to violence when faced with someone who doesn’t treat you with common decency.

They will, however, simmer down at the simple sound of your voice.

Pitaya proudly parades you around in front of the other dragons. They all find it very annoying, but Pitaya tells you they’re just jealous.

Lotus

You have a very special place in Lotus’s palace: next to them.

Lotus strums melodies for you with their mandolin, and they sometimes even add lyrics.

They always gather a few water lilies to thread through your hair when you are around.

They refer to you as their most precious flower.

Lotus loves it when you tell them about culture outside of the Lotus palace — whether that be about song, dance, art, sports, or even customs, they enjoy hearing about all of it.

They especially enjoy it when you celebrate your customs and traditions with them.

They sometimes ask you to tell them a joke, and they’ll snicker at it no matter how terrible it is.

They will actually grant your wishes and NOT steal your life force.

Why would they want to take away the vitality of such a lovely person?

If you are too humble to make wishes, they will make some on your behalf to ensure your happiness.

Hydrangea is infinitely jealous of the attention you receive from the Dragon.

You make Lotus do and try a lot of things they wouldn’t normally do. They find that partaking in menial tasks with you somehow gives those same tasks a new meaning.

During the Wish Festival, Lotus will always join you at the base of the palace to release a lantern. Though it doesn’t do much for them, seeing you enjoy yourself stirs something warm inside of them.

Often muses that their paradise couldn’t be paradise without you.

Lychee

Be a bastard WITH them though. Fuck some shit up together ❤️

They will crawl all over you like you’re a jungle gym.

They will also demand to be held and carried around either in your arms or on your shoulders (make them feel tall. Feed their ego. Do it NOW).

^^Don’t even make the argument that they can fly. They don’t care. CARRY THEM.

Like Pitaya, Lychee loves to be pet. Unlike Pitaya, Lychee will directly ask you for pets and scritches.

They call you their favorite follower, but they secretly see you as more of an equal. You’re way better company than the other dragons, anyway.

Showing genuine compassion for them as opposed to empty worship from their “followers” makes them go “😀???”

They seriously don’t know what to do but it makes them feel fuzzier than Fluffles so that must be a good thing, right?

“Say the thing.” “Uh… I care about you?” “Yesssss that hits the spot.”

Lychee makes those under their control do your bidding as well as theirs.

You and Lychee are in an ongoing prank war. You never know when you’ll fall victim to their latest (harmless) scheme. You plan some elaborate jokes as well.

Lychee also likes to take you to help them mess with the other dragons. Scrawl crude words into the sands of Ananas’s island. Plant invasive weeds in Lotus’s gardens. Pour water on Pitaya while they sleep. The possibilities are endless!

They love laughing with you. Having someone to just be hysterical with makes their little feral creature heart so happy.

• wildrider is another who doesnt mind showing his affections for you anywhere ,, just as long as its not in front of megatron or motormaster

• he’s already seen how those two are when theyre mad ,, and if he were to show how soft he’s gotten over a human than he wouldnt hear the end of the scoldings

• doesnt mean he wont do it in front of others though 😏

• he’ll kiss you in front of starscream just to make fun of the seeker for screeching about how disgusting it is ,, or in front of breakdown just to terrorize the poor con

• dates are similar to dragstrip’s ,, derbies and speeding around recklessly off or on roads

• though he does take the time to slow down a bit for you ,, and take you to the beachside when its near night just to sit with you and listen to the ocean with adoration

deadend ::

• he’s more calmer than the other stunticons ,, not minding affection or pda but don’t expect a lot from him in return

• he’s still realizing he’s actually in love with you ,, and every kiss to his helm makes him remember why he is

• he’ll nudge his helm against you as a way to give you a kiss ,, due to his face guard and all

• he’ll sit with you on a hillside sometimes ,, just stroking your head and watching the sunrise

breakdown ::

• being with breakdown is something for sure ,, the poor con is paranoid left and right about everything ,, and the fact his fellow stunticons don’t do anything to help him with it only makee it worse

• he depends on you a lot ,, super clingy and needy ,, he loves your affection ,, every single thing you offer him he loves

• he adores having kisses pressed to the tips of his digits most ,, it makes him super giddy and loved ,, or little cheek kisses

• he tries to give back the affection ,, but he does get worried because what if he kisses you too hard and your head pops off ?? or if he pats your head too hard and you just go squish in his hold

• he can’t get those thoughts out of his proccessor ,, always lingering in at the back of his mind

• though you always reassure that you’ll be fine and he ends up kissing you softly on your nose in the end

Nancy Wheeler with a Visually Impaired Partner

As a Visually Impaired person I thought this would be cute to write. This doesn’t represent every Blind or Visually Impaired person. I‘m just writing my own experience with my disability for these head-cannons.

Nancy first sees you when you walk into the school's newspaper room accidentally.

"O-oh!  So sorry! Uh, I've been trying to find the counselor's office."

One of the students shouts out where it is but Nancy notices your white cane and instantly says she'll take you there herself.

"Thank you so much. My eyes are giving me a hard time this morning so theyre pretty sensitive and I had to resort to using my cane again."

"It's no problem, Im Nancy by the way. Nancy Wheeler."

"Nice to meet you, Nancy! Im (Y/n) (L/n)."

"Nice to meet you too. You said your eyes are sensitive? Can you still see?"

"Yeah to an extent. I just have low vision so I have to use a magnifying glass to read things or use my cane to help guide me when my eyes become sensitive to light."

Nancy nods and smiles stopping at one of the doors in the hallway. "Here's the counselor's office. If you need anything else I'd be happy to help."

You smile in her direction and nod "Actually, would it be okay if I sat with you during lunch? Being new is a little scary and you seem nice."

"Of course!  What class do you have before lunch?"

"Math with Ms. London."

"Looks like we have that class together. You can sit next to me if you'd like."

"That'd be great!"

After that day you and Nancy became close friends at first. She helped you in Math while you helped her in English. You told her despite your disability you have a passion for writing.

The day Nancy figures out that she likes you as more than a friend is when you two were hanging out at her place and you asked her to read you a new book you had got from the library the day before.

She was happy to read to you since she knew you were either tired or didn't want to use your magnifying glass.

You had laid your head on her lap and were excited to get into another great story but you couldn't help but fall asleep with how soft and cozy it felt to hear Nancy read to you.

Nancy realized you were asleep when she heard your soft snores. Smiling to herself, she put a bookmark where she left off and put the book aside on her nightstand.

Gently playing with your hair Nancy felt her cheeks get warm noticing that familiar feeling.

She asked you out the next week. You were all she could think about while trying to sort out her feelings.

Nancy is super sweet. She's always looking out for you.

She stands up for you when someone stares too long or says something about your cane or you in general if you take too long to do something because you're not able to see what's in front of you. 

She loves taking you out to drive-ins for movie dates.

She will cook dinner for you whenever she can and always gets excited when you cook for her. She especially loves when you bake for her. She says your cookies are the best and great when she needs a pick me up.

She doesn't mind if she needs to drive you around it gives her excuses to spend more time with you

Study dates are a must when exams are around. She's very understanding when you need to take breaks or stop for the day when your eyes get sore from studying so much.

Loves going shopping with you.

You two pick out some outfits for each other. Or just love trying on clothes with each other.

Nancy finds it relaxing and fun to do your make-up when she has the time.

Once chewed out Mike for being disrespectful when he commented about your cane and said you were the school's freak the first time you went over to her place for dinner.

Nancy's love language is quality time, gift giving, and touch.

Always loves spending time with you whenever she can. Again she doesn't mind driving you around or having your arm around hers when you need that little bit of guidance while walking around the mall.

Nancy buys you gifts, whether it's your birthday, Christmas, or just because she saw something you needed or reminded her of you.

You know Nancy is very vocal but in the moments when it's just you and her, she's mostly quiet and shows how she feels with physical touch. Squeezing your hand, light kisses, hugging, or holding you against her.

Overall Nancy loves the relationship you both built together.

She loves reading the stories you come up with in your free time. She thinks you're creative and is proud of you when you submit your stories to local contests.

You won't admit it but whenever you get a new book from the library you always ask Nancy to read it to you. Not because your eyes hurt or theyre tired but because you love hearing her voice.

i have a charachter who, based on her genetics, should be a bony twink like her father (theyre a version of an already established charachter so i cant just change it, and her other parent is an eldritch monstrosity so their genes dont factor into her body type), but shes also supposed to be a freindly, cheerful charachter, and should therefore be potrayed with round shapes. how do i do both?

In lieu with shape-language in character design, round shapes and soft edges tell us of a gentle and friendly character. Someone we’re supposed to feel safe and attached to by default. But what if your character doesn’t inherently possess any such shapes in their base anatomy. 

There’s no say that you would HAVE to adhere to shape-language and theory it deploys about human psycology and our response to certains shapes. However, if you want to still deploy these methods to convey a friendly character - then here’s a few pointers on how you can work around your bony design .

When we talk about the primary shapes in shape-language, we often refer to the shapes most present in the sihlouette. Now, a lot of people, particularly if you’re not used to work in sihlouettes before doing your initial design, tend to consider the character’s anatomy as the major part of the character’s sihlouette ( this also applies to projects where the visual language leans heavier on the realistic side - and thusly can’t feasibly integrate absurd or abstract shapes into their designs as easily ).  However, if you’re faced with a problem of a character’s anatomy not lining up with the dominant shape you’re looking for, you are forced to rely on the shapes of something other than their anatomy. This can be many things, their hair, their clothes, stuff that isn’t a part of their body, but contributes to the sihlouette anyway.

Look at this character up above. Her form isn’t particularly buff, in fact, she leans a bit more on the spindly side, without being super skinny. But notice how round her face is, how floofy that hair is, blocking out the bonyness of her shoulders and softening her sihlouette. Pay attention to the very controlled amount of sharp points or spikes that’s in her designs. There’s a few acute angles here and there ( her hair being chopped in very sharp shapes particularly ) but even those are deployed in a context where they are counter-balanced by other shapes ( as with how the hair swoops and curves to balance out its sharp edges at the bottom ).

^Above is a character who’s design is a lot more spindly than the first, however - here the artist has made her dress very poofy, almost bell like. Which doesn’t only serve to remind us how skinny the character is, by the fact that her thin legs leaves a lot of gap between herself and the edge of the dress.  But the artist has also decided to give the character two huge circles of blush on her cheeks, which incorporates the circular shapes seamlessly, if very blatantly into the design. And of course, the eyes. This character has huge, expressive eyes that makes it easy for us to read and relate to her feelings. Eyes have a profound impact on a design, and in some cases you can push your design really far from its intended read, but still retain the “kind” and “friendly” look by enlarging the eyes, giving us that wide-eyed, innocent look.

Toothless actually portrays this particular trope extremely well. As the character switches the shape of its pupils depending on the particular mindspace its in. The large pupils and warm green eyes helps us emphasize with the character, and gives that ‘adorable’ look. The brows are moving and expressive. But as soon as Toothless snaps into feral mode, the pupils shrink into tiny slits, closing us off from any read of the character’s emotions. While also relaxing the eyebrows and setting them nearly static on his face. Like this, we can’t detect any human expression in the character. It becomes purely animalistic, and thusly, unpredictable.  Whev, ok so that was a brief tangent on eyes - let it be known that eyes are EXTREMELY important to your design!  There’s a number of other ways to incorporate circles into your design, but most of those are incredibly contextually dependent, and would be hard to pin down with any precision without seeing the particular design you’re working with, so hopefully this has set you on the right path.

I wish i had a mannequin or something to take pictures of it actually on something hhhaha! But these pictures do not do this jacket justice. Its so!!!!! Warm! And soft! And beautiful!

I requested it be able to close, so she added in a zipper and little clasps up top that work like a charm! I also got both inside pockets and requested the sleeves be pregathered. That way they always look like theyre just a little bunched up, and im super happy i did that it looks so good UGH- a lot more like a bf jacket ahhaha.

I also got the wing hole upgrade, just cause i wanted it to feel like something that actually belonged to him- there are several different ways she makes them depending on your needs. Since I wasn't using this jacket for cosplay I requested just two slits in the back, like in the manga. (Also I was surprised the pockets in the front are also actual pockets you can open and close !)

The maker was also very sweet and patient with my requests and questions, and she always replied very quickly 🥺 if you're interested in something like this definately go check out her Etsy shop ! She's very skilled ;u;
