Dawnbreaker Discourse 🌄

Over the last couple days I've been tagged in a number of posts regarding the theory that Greyson's story No Morning holds proof that Zayne's Snowy Serenity card is actually Dawnbreaker Zayne who managed to make it to the present timeline.

Below the cut, I'll discuss why I don't believe this is the case, along with references to the in game content that supports my theory. That said, please note that I fully support the folks who want to believe this theory, because at the end of the day my man deserves to have everyone in his corner.

Let's dig in shall we?

For starters, I'm not going to rehash the entire breakdown of where all this commentary started, but will try to sum it up quickly instead.

『The CN players have linked the appearance of the white flowers and the black crystal ice in the WU story No Morning to Dawnbreaker.』

All of these theories are interesting and have a lot of fun ideas, but all of them are missing what I think is the key element here.

I believe the constant reference to the black crystal ice as Dawnbreaker's Evol is being misconstrued for what the game is setting up to be a major plot device/point in later parts of the story.

In No Morning we see Greyson observe the black crystals here-

Earlier in this same story it's specified that this plant comes from a very specific place on Mt Eternal, a place where we've seen another massively impactful scene involving something identical in another anecdote- Never ending Winter:

We also see them referenced again in the World Undernead stories Longly Flame, and Snowy Stairs-

I believe there are other references to the black crystals I am surely missing, but these are the ones I remembered right off the top of my head.

I ALSO realize that in Greyson's POV it very specifically calls them "black ICE crystals" while every other reference says "Black crystals" but I fully believe that's either a translation error, or just a solid case for unreliable narrator. As much as I adore Grey, he can be a bit of a dork, so I can accept the mishap there. That being said, I really do believe with all my heart it is simply a translation difference rather than a deliberate misdirection.

And while Dawnbreaker's ice is indeed a black ice, I do not believe that it will ever be used in a significant storytelling capacity (as in I dont think it will be used to subtly hint at his presence) due to the very heavy-handed usage of these black crystals PG has been feeding us since the very beginning. Never Ending Winter was one of the OG anecdotes, so these black crystals have been set up from launch as a very important reference to either a type of protocore sickness, a metaflux disease, or some other deepspace linked disorder we've yet to understand.

That said, I'll admit I've definitely been calling Zayne's Snowy Serenity card the DawnFaker card because I'll agree- it has some H E A V Y DB undertones and they didn't do him any favors by putting him in a Dawnbreaker cosplay but with a beige sweater. I'm gonna continue to call it the DawnFaker card, but know that it's said in jest and with affection, and that I don't actually believe that card was Dawnbreaker (as much as I wish it was!)

Boggsmouth, the girl whose got it all!

Success, wealth and unresolved trauma!

Boggsmouth is undeniably one of the most competent bounty hunters in the Ghost Junk Sickness universe. I know compared to Trigger and Vahn that’s not a particularly high bar, but other characters in the world attest she’s one of the best. Boggs herself brags about taking on the craziest bounties possible and even her “average day” comic shows Boggsmouth picking up bounties like a pizza delivery.

She picks fights with the military for fun, blows all her money on massive parties and seems to have a substantial amount of friends. Some close enough to help her through physical therapy. Boggsmouth has everything, and everything she has is because of her strength, skill and insane determination.

We only ever see Boggsmouth truly fail twice.

Once when she was up against the Ghost (which is a reality breaking freakin demigod so you know, can’t feel too bad about yourself for that loss).

And the time she couldn’t save her friend.

Everything Boggsmouth achieves, she achieves through physical prowess and raw willpower. So when the life of her friend depended on her to be strong enough and push through, Boggs met her limit. And her friend died.

(Quick aside, when I originally wrote Triggers breakdown, I thought Chiyo Hassan, the cyclops friend we see in the present, was the same cyclops friend who gets trapped in the flashback. Rereading those panels, my opinion of Trigger has gone from “Huge dick move but I understand fear isn’t rational” to “Jesus Christ man someone died, you should be ashamed!”)

Boggsmouth has a very important tattoo she names Absolution. To be released from from guilt. And I don’t think it’s true for her yet. Boggs blames Trigger for the death of their friend. Maybe rightly so. Maybe they both would have failed to save them anyways. Even if Boggsmouth has claimed absolution, all of the negative feelings she has of the event are still there. She can’t handle the grief, so she burns it as a more familiar rage. She can’t handle blaming herself for the tragedy, so she channels all that anger onto Trigger. For years.

And when Trigger isn’t there for her to vent her rage? It cools back into grief.

“What If? What if she was stronger? What if Alphonse helped? What if she never took him in to begin with? What if they didn’t go to that crumbling factory? Why weren’t they strong enough? Why doesn’t wanting something so so much make any difference? Why did they have to die? Why wasn’t she strong enough?”

Unpleasant thoughts, to be drowned out with dangerous bounties and never ending parties.

For all her rough edges, she’s got a soft heart. Boggsmouth has a weakness for strays, given how easily she forgave Alphonse the first time, and how quickly she took in Vahn. Honestly? If Trigger truly apologized, and admitted to everything, I’d bet she wouldn’t chase him anymore.

I think what Boggsmouth wants most from Trigger isn’t groveling, but absolution. For someone to finally tell her “You did everything right. You were stuck in an impossible position. And it wasn’t your fault.”

Boggsmouth is a reckless badass and one of my favorite characters. May she find her absolution and a happy ending.

What It’s Like to Sleep at Humantay Lake: A First-Hand Experience

I had always dreamed of camping in the Andes, and Humantay Lake camping was the perfect introduction. Here’s a breakdown of what to expect.

🌅 Setting Up Camp

We arrived at Soraypampa in the afternoon and hiked to the lake.

Our camp spot was 10 minutes from the lake, offering privacy.

As the sun set, the temperature dropped quickly, but the sky exploded with stars.

🔥 Nighttime in the Andes

The silence was absolute—just the sound of the wind and distant waterfalls.

At 2 AM, I stepped outside my tent and was blown away by the Milky Way stretching across the sky.

Even with freezing temperatures, it was one of the most peaceful nights of my life.

🌄 Waking Up to a Dream

At dawn, the lake was perfectly still, reflecting the snow-capped peaks.

With no other tourists around, it felt like I had stumbled into a lost world.

The effort of hiking up with camping gear was 100% worth it.

• he loves to take you with him to derbies ,, of course not getting you or himself hurt ,, as he was forged with decepticon alloy and not the cheap metals of earth vehicles

• if its not a derbie date ,, he’s definitely in the desert with you zooming in the sand ,, music blasting through his speakers as he does donuts

wildrider ::

• wildrider is another who doesnt mind showing his affections for you anywhere ,, just as long as its not in front of megatron or motormaster

• he’s already seen how those two are when theyre mad ,, and if he were to show how soft he’s gotten over a human than he wouldnt hear the end of the scoldings

• doesnt mean he wont do it in front of others though 😏

• he’ll kiss you in front of starscream just to make fun of the seeker for screeching about how disgusting it is ,, or in front of breakdown just to terrorize the poor con

• dates are similar to dragstrip’s ,, derbies and speeding around recklessly off or on roads

• though he does take the time to slow down a bit for you ,, and take you to the beachside when its near night just to sit with you and listen to the ocean with adoration

deadend ::

• he’s more calmer than the other stunticons ,, not minding affection or pda but don’t expect a lot from him in return

• he’s still realizing he’s actually in love with you ,, and every kiss to his helm makes him remember why he is

• he’ll nudge his helm against you as a way to give you a kiss ,, due to his face guard and all

• he’ll sit with you on a hillside sometimes ,, just stroking your head and watching the sunrise

• also unlike his fellow decepticons ,, he takes the time to enjoy the peace and beauty in the world around him

• every date you two have is in a different location ,, with the help of the space bridge deadend brings you to his favorite spots around earth

• from cool nights along the beachside to watching the northern lights ,, its a new experience every time ,, each one just as lovely

breakdown ::

• being with breakdown is something for sure ,, the poor con is paranoid left and right about everything ,, and the fact his fellow stunticons don’t do anything to help him with it only makee it worse

• he depends on you a lot ,, super clingy and needy ,, he loves your affection ,, every single thing you offer him he loves

• he adores having kisses pressed to the tips of his digits most ,, it makes him super giddy and loved ,, or little cheek kisses

• he tries to give back the affection ,, but he does get worried because what if he kisses you too hard and your head pops off ?? or if he pats your head too hard and you just go squish in his hold

• he can’t get those thoughts out of his proccessor ,, always lingering in at the back of his mind

• though you always reassure that you’ll be fine and he ends up kissing you softly on your nose in the end

• he loves to see how shy you get when you receive affection from the bot ,, it makes him want to give you more and more

✨ Day 164/365 ✨ of positive reflections and self-care

Let's talk about today 📝

The day started pretty bad, I had an incredible amount of pain in my body due to PMS/PMDD, to the point where I could only lie down in one position in order to not make it worse. I had plenty of quarreling with my sister which added up to the mental and physical exhaustion. I went in pure mental breakdown and I cried all day long due to the pain. Luckily after my friends came over, I started to regain happiness bit by bit, until I really enjoyed and appreciated their company on such a special occasion. We ate, played cards and talked about so many things. It was really nice to be all together with my sister and brother too.
