More random Nimona headcanons

Bal is one of those people who isn’t allergic to anything except one random medication that no one uses 

Ambrosius calls him a lucky bastard every time it’s brought up because he’s allergic to everything 

His allergy list is at least three pages long and he doesn’t remember a single thing on that list 

Whenever they go out to eat Bal has to remind him “No you can’t eat that it has olives” “Not that either love it’s got lemon” and so on 

Most of his allergic reactions are pretty tame so he’ll eat it anyway

And it gives Bal and Nimona so much fucking anxiety 

One time Bal walked in on Nimona chasing Ambrosius around the kitchen yelling “Spit out the carrots Nemesis you don’t even like them that much!!” 

Whenever he eats alone he refers to it as a game of Russian roulette 

Bal refers to it as the reason he has high blood pressure

Because Bal and Ambrosius grew up in the limelight (for very different reasons) there are a million pictures of them through the years 

And they use those videos to bully the hell out of each other 

Bal can quote the video from the beginning of the movie not because it was an important moment in his childhood 

But because Ambrosius will quote it at the most random times throughout the day

Bal will do something small like kill a bug or chase out an animal that Nimona brought in

And he’ll hear Ambrosius mumble “I’m here to slay monsters and protect our kingdom”

He was a little worried Nimona would react badly to this habit but he started joining in 

One time he killed a spider and Ambrosius asks “Are you slaying monsters moonbeam?” Nimona yells from the other room “I’m so proud of him he’s truly protecting our kingdom” 

There are a million photos of baby Ambrosius on the internet 

And Bal made a PowerPoint presentation ranking their cuteness factor out of 10 (100 was the lowest score he got and it was a picture of him with the ugliest bowl cut you’ve ever seen)

And made Ambrosius sit through it 

That was the most loved and mortified he had felt in a long time

Nimona uses low-quality pictures of them as reaction photos 

There have been times when Nimona asks “Can we eat out tonight” and Bal tells her no and she sends him this 

He’ll text back “Is that my fucking wanted poster?!” 

She asked Ambrosius if there was any ice cream left and he said no he expected her to call him and complain he didn’t expect this 

He calls her yelling “When the fuck did that happen?!” 

And she hangs up immediately to let Bal deal with it

Happy Spookmas! I'm thinking this time that a little trick 👻 might be in order... ;)

"I know this must be confusing," Tim says slowly. Jason's eyes are shallow, white pits, and he hasn't stopped frowning. Tim doesn't think Jason can see him; he doesn't turn his head to keep Tim in sight, doesn't react when Tim waves a hand in front of his eyes. Tim's never talked to a ghost before, but there's gotta be a first time for everything, right?

"Not sure what there is to be confused about," Jason says, tense. "Seems pretty clear-cut to me. Get in, get him, get out. Right?" "Right," Tim says carefully. Jason's been doing that. Talking past Tim, like he's only half-there. Like there's someone else here with them. "Uh. Who's him, Jason?" Tim asks. Maybe if he can get Jason talking, he can figure out how to help him. Maybe he has to let him down gently. Robin's been dead for months, now. There has to be something Tim can do for him. Maybe he has to... move on. "I found him." Jason says. He looks right at Tim. "Jason?" Tim asks, wary. "Hey, Timmers," Jason says, sounding-- that's-- An ache starts in his forehead. Tim tries to rub it away with the heel of his palm. "How do you know my name? I'm-- You don't know me. You're..." Tim frowns at Jason, contrite. He was never going to be able to let him down gently. "You're dead, Jason. We've never met. I'm sorry." "I'm not dead, Tim," Jason says sadly, walking toward him with his hand outstretched, white bangs falling over his red domino, looking like-- Jason's never looked at Tim like that before, pain naked on his face. It's something like determination, and something like pity, and something like-- Wait. Before? "You are."

Treats of course!! Your Science & Fiction series is legendary for so many reasons but as per the course of Lokius themselves, the end of the beginning and the beginning of the end had me right from the start so here's a little something inspired by Mobius being Loki's rock whether he's always able to realize it in the moment or not 🥺🥰

kiburi wants to become the leader of his float. a snake has some bigger ideas for him. ushari says that kiburi can become leader of the pridelands too, then crocodiles will finally be respected to his standards. ushari wants respect for all reptiles. kiburi doesn't mind that. he believes him.

the plan fails, and he has nothing but his friends now. kiburi finds ushari, who offers him something in return for keeping his life. kiburi should kill him, but he doesn't.

kiburi meets scar, who ushari has complete trust in. if he follows scar, he could rule someday. with ushari by his side, reptiles could finally be respected. trusting him is working in his favour.

the army never wins. kiburi can feel every bruise, cut and scrape that doesn't have a chance to heal. he can see the weariness in his float from fighting every day. the pressure is destroying them all. ushari never gains a single tear in his perfect scales. scar rants and rages about how the army isn't good enough. ushari never has to face scar's wrath. maybe he was wrong to trust him, but there's no turning back now, there is nothing else. and traitors are no better than dead.

janja turns against them. he survives their attempt to kill him and finds happiness somehow. there is no peace for the army, so they're sure he was never really one of them. kiburi doesn't feel any guilt. scar promises this is the last battle to win the pridelands. ushari is sure of it, so kiburi is too.

and he was right. the army wins the very moment that ushari's venom infects kion's mind. there is nothing that the pridelanders can do. for once, there is victory for the army. for once, there is peace.

fire quickly takes over every patch of land in sight. all of it is theirs. kiburi's float will never have to get another wound again. they will never have to go hungry again. they will never have to share again. they will never be unhappy again. kiburi is glad he trusted ushari.

until all the lands had nothing left. there isn't enough water. his float are gone. kiburi barely manages to get by. this is all ushari's fault. such a smart snake should have known better.

ushari tricked him. those comforting words of ruling the lands were all false promises. everything was a lie, it must have been. scar's reign meant nothing could survive. such a smart snake should have known that.

ushari betrayed him, so kiburi makes sure he brings justice.

I'm going feral again with a silly headcanon.

I just had that post on how Odysseus made Puzzles for himself and Penelope and I have another idea and I'm just really excited to share it lksdjf

I basically plan to have this man in love with Penelope within 10 mins (I HAVE A PLAN! It sounds crazy but I think it'll work. Plus these two are reckless and young when married. His first crush and he's not handling it well.)

This is them. Or at the very least Penelope is definitely playing it off very nonchalantly and is kind of messing around at first, thinking that the "trickster" is "not being genuine" when he's never been more genuine in his life. She can see right through all his lies and bullshit and basically forces him to be vulnerable, something he loves yet is TERRIFIED of. Especially as she "unmasked" him so quickly (and tricked HIM.😉 Won't say how. no spoilers yet) and so effortlessly and he's just a MESS. Athena isn't helping and just watches them both fumble around, even when Odysseus is asking for some guidance, Athena just smiles and is all like "I'm the Goddess of Wisdom, not of Love. Figure it out yourself." (PENELOPE IS JUST AS MUCH OF A BLORBO TO HER AS ODYSSEUS IS, YOU COWARDS!)

I won't go into huge details. I WILL write this fic someday and I need to leave SOME things a surprise. But KNOW this man will be pulling out all the stops trying to impress her and tries to show all the things he's good at and one will be his "puzzle making".

He'll bring a puzzle to her TRYING to talk all "suave" (he'll be semi-tongue tied. Something that he's not used to and is annoyed that he can't seem to think around her)

It'll probably have a little gift inside and he'll be chatting away about how he worked hard to make it and that there's a trick to it and blah blah blah

Penelope: Oh! There's (some sort of treat or gift) inside!

Odysseus: Wait, you solved it already?

Penelope,🤨: Yes. All you have to do is this.

Odysseus, falling (more like sprinting at this point) further in love but also mad his plan to woo her didn't work: Well... Yeah. That's a gift for you.

He's trying SOOOO hard but he has to stop "showboating" to genuinely impress her. Man has to be fucking vulnerable for her to be impressed by him because she already can read his "tells" on when he's pulling something. No more "tricks". Be yourself, you fucking idiot >:D

As the roar continued on, the 'King of the Underworld' addressed me. [Now, go.] Hades didn't even look at me when he said that. Even though he didn't, he was still looking at me. He had always been looking at me. [< Underworld > is your ally from this moment on.]

Yesssss. Such an epic scene.

But, more importantly, we've cemented the fact that not only have Hades and Persephone been watching him from basically his first moments, it was Hades who first found him (everyone did say that Hades liked Dokja even if he doesn't say much) and that Dokja was actually prophesied to come hundreds of years ago.

Which I think is interesting because them receiving a prophecy specifically about their successor finding the end isn't quite the same as when Dionysus said that the end was prophesied to come.

Aside from this particular prophecy, we haven't really seen anything else in the entire Star Stream that can see any information about Dokja, including his future, except for maybe Anna Croft who may or may not be able to see it. (Upon reflection, I've started to wonder if maybe she could just see it at that time due to how thin the Fourth Wall was on the island? I guess we'll see.)

Of course, that's only if it turns out Dokja actually is the one in the prophecy.

Maybe it's just vague enough to not technically be about Dokja and so there was wiggle room to make it about Dokja since they are, ultimately, the ones to choose their successor?

Except they don't actually want Dokja to succeed them.

Hmmm.

Also, it makes sense why Persephone and Dionysus were immediately so warm to him and Dokja himself has thought back on certain events (when talking to Dionysus back in chapter 334) and realized that maybe he'd gotten a little lucky.

Or, at least he was almost lucky. Dokja did specifically mention the Even Bridge in the very beginning of the novel and how it just randomly appeared when they were in trouble and we all know how that turned out...
