Julien: If I become the class head, we will dance party everyday! Willie: ooh, will you also give us mangos? Mort: will you also gimmie the feet? / Teacher: I said, write down the name Classified: It’s classified, because I am the leader of the class. After Mort throws up and Julien says not to eat that side of the cake, he adds, "Mort's vomit is not very delicious. I know. I've tried it." Julien wtf??

More omitting of more vulgar jokes—the one elephant does not accidentally wind up with a kid up his butt; the joke about Cirque du Soleil doing a show in the nude is gone

Melman tries to talk Gloria out of the dance act and suggests they juggle or do the tightrope instead. Gloria points out that Melman is scared of heights. Melman gets a bit offended and says he will do his own act instead

There is a short scene of the Penguins, Chimps, Maurice and Mort cutting and hammering wood

It is Kowalski, not Rico, who gives the rocket shoes to the dogs

Alex's pep talk to Vitaly is skipped; it skips straight from Vitaly thinking he can't do his act to "Vitaly flew through the hoop." He doesn't open the show and the hoop is not on fire

Dubois does not show up at the circus and reveal the Zoosters as zoo animals—instead it's Vitaly who calls them out. How he found out is never said

After Dubois picks up her officers from the hospital, they search for clues of where the circus will be next. Dubois gives one of the officers, named Gerard, a dog treat. They discover the next stop is in New York. When one of the officers points out the game will be over if the animals make it back to the zoo, Dubois declares "Not if we play by the rules of murder!"

While watching Sonya chew on a tire, Julien says that it's a real turn-on

While discussing why leaving the zoo was the best thing that ever happened to them, they bring up all the things they've done, including Alex finding his parents, although they are never mentioned elsewhere

Vitaly is against going back to save the Zoosters—Gia and Stefano have to scold him into it

In addition to the big check, the mayor gives Dubois a key to the city and a gift bag containing a restaurant guide and some almonds

Dubois gives a speech about how animal control was a boy's club, and that she accepts the award "on behalf of all the girls in the world who dare to dream of a world where the animals are dead." Feminist icon! She then goes on about how much she loves dead animals, freaking out the audience

The circus does not come to the rescue on a flying balloon rig; instead they march through as a parade, with balloons suspending some of the animals

The Penguins retrieve a giant penguin-shaped robot ship from beneath their habitat to help with the rescue. Skipper remarks that "since Y2K never happened, we might as well put it to good use."

Some stray electrical sparks start the hay in Marty's habitat on fire, trapping him. Vitaly finally faces his fear here, jumping through the keyhole to save him from the flames

Alex feeds Dubois to the robot penguin after the Penguins crash it through the reptile house

"Afro Circus" does not appear until the very last scene

Madagascar characters + can they make a grilled cheese?

Alex: this man Does Not Cook. he lives on take out and restaurants. he does not know how to turn on his stove. you are getting an uncooked cheese sandwich.

Marty: has a "kiss the cook" apron and sings you a little ditty while he works. he sticks a little plastic sword in the top for Flair

Gloria: she never does food halfway, she will make you a triple-decker with fancy bread and like six kinds of cheeses

Melman: he's prone to overcooking everything so the bread might be anywhere between reasonably toasty and charred black

Skipper: he is an infamously terrible cook but he has no idea. there is a raw fish flopping in your grilled cheese sandwich.

Kowalski: he invents a device to make the perfect grilled cheese and it blows up. not only do you not get a sandwich, you also lose your kitchen

Rico: he makes a truly spectacular grilled cheese: toasted just right, nice and gooey. but he eats it on his way to give it to you.

Private: he cuts off the crusts, he etches a little smiley face into the bread, and he makes you tomato soup to go with it. and he makes it with love!

Julien: he doesn't cook, he has people for that (the one time Maurice wouldn't cook for him, he set off the smoke alarm making a fruit salad)

Maurice: he'll cut off the crusts and slice it into triangles. primarily cooks for Julien who is notoriously picky and hard to please, so make sure you give him a compliment

Mort: he'd be a very good cook if he would use normal ingredients. however: he eats dog food. he eats dirt and metal. he's 100% putting a live scorpion in your sandwich.

Clover: she puts some bacon in there for protein. she refuses to cut the crusts off and will stare you down if you don't eat them. the crusts build character

Marlene: she watches a lot of cooking shows and likes to try lots of different recipes. makes a perfectly decent sandwich but thinks she's the Chopped grand champion or something

Ooh, could we have some fun facts about the Fossa?

YOU HAVE SELECTED ONE OF MY FAVORITE ANIMALS!!!

Fossa (Cryptoprocta ferox), family Eupleridae, endemic to most of Madagascar (but not found in the central part of the island).

Carnivorous, feeding on wide variety of other animals.

Not closely related to any animals on the African mainland (or anywhere else), Fossas are in the Madagascan Mongoose family (also called the Madagascan Carnivorans).

The closest living group to this family are the mongooses.

They have semi-retractable claws, they can extend them but not fully retract them.

The generic name Cryptoprocta, means "hidden anus", as the anus is hidden within the anal pouch.

The male's penis is external, unlike other members of this family. (They also have a baculum, a penis bone).

Active mostly late at night, early in the morning, or in late afternoon (sleeping during the hottest parts of the day).

The are FUCKING LOUD, especially when interacting with each other in social disputes or during mating.
