The key to Troy and Abed's plotline in "Urban Matrimony and the Sandwich Arts" in my opinion is the fact that it's Troy who can't handle being normal.
I know that Abed is the more overtly weird and autistic of the two, but he's also incredibly comfortable with masking. As he explains it, he's fine adopting different personas because it doesn't actually impact his perception of himself. It's not something he has to do, but it's a good tool for succeeding in certain interactions.
Troy though, he spent most of his life masking and he hates it. He's always been so focused on making other people happy that it took him until Greendale to get any idea of what he actually wants. He can't just slip into being normal, because for him that means destroying the sense of individuality he fought so hard for. Yeah, "Troy and Abed being normal" was a funny bit at first, but it stopped being fun so Troy called it off and that's great! He knows what he wants and it's to make a fool of himself in public with his best friend.
I love that the two of them never completely fit into the roles you might expect from them. Troy does often take a supporting role in their adventures, but it's because that's what he enjoys. He is still actively choosing to be a little freak with Abed, and when it comes down to it he's willing to take a stand for what makes him happy; even if it goes against his people-pleasing instincts. Troy may generally come across as the relatively normal one in their partnership, but he's far more dependent on being able to express weirdness because Abed carries it within himself but Troy feels as though it's something he can lose.

Intercepted Placements
So, understanding the expressions of each of the axes and minor expressions of their affects on the houses, we have to look at each of these as the environment a planet is existing in. Rather than being lost, it's a child following a lost parent. Intercepted planets themselves find it difficult to find direction, almost to the same effect as a retrograde, in how we're unable to move forward until we step back and acknowledge and, if we can't fix, continue forward with a full understanding of our circumstances.
Of course, when looking at intercepted planets, we have to consider the house it's under, the sign it's ruled by, the aspects to it (+ the degree if you use degrees). These aren't going to be exactly true for everyone, because like I said before, there's infinite possibilities. Someone with an intercepted Gemini 11H Jupiter that may believe they can't make friends is going to have a different experience from a int. Gemini 9H Jupiter that might believe they'll never be as smart and proficient as they want to be.

INTERCEPTED SUN_ This is someone who finds it difficult to understand themselves, usually knowing exactly who they want to become, but having no idea where they are now. Being [told] can cause conflict, but sometimes it's that honesty that grounds us.
INTERCEPTED MOON_ This is someone who doesn't like to talk about or really even acknowledge the things they like, or how they find comfort. Their needs and their desires have always been secluded from each other, and in that, they learned to do the same.
INTERCEPTED VENUS_ This is someone who has difficulties with the entire concept of sharing themselves with other people, not understanding how to balance or develop partnerships because they tend to not ever have a specific goal with them.
INTERCEPTED MERCURY_ This is someone who's mind and mouth work at different paces, either not knowing what they want to say, or having to talk their way around a point until they find a road to it. They may feel too "different" to be included, but they just need your patience.
INTERCEPTED MARS_ This person is passionate where it seems to have no place and distant when it seems to matter the most, seeming to others that they only put their energy towards things that matter to them even if that's not true.
INTERCEPTED SATURN_ This is someone who has difficulty with accountability, not understanding the need to implement structure in areas of their lives that they think are operating perfectly fine without it. They're fine the way they are, even if they're not.
INTERCEPTED JUPITER_ This is someone who lacks a belief that they can succeed in the areas of live they're most focused on, accepting that their dreams are unobtainable even while still pushing themselves to the limit trying to reach them. Sometimes the approach matters.
INTERCEPTED NEPTUNE_ This is someone wanting to believe themselves so badly that they'll try to run through a wall before accepting that it is one. This is a need to be direct with ourselves, not consistently relying on the last possible way out to save us when we're wrong.
INTERCEPTED URANUS_ I think most importantly, this is someone who doesn't believe in the powers of manifestation, and that they will receive nothing special because they themselves aren't special. It's a destructive mindset that's constantly passed off as selflessness.
INTERCEPTED PLUTO_ This is someone who struggles with understanding their control in each situation, feeling they can't bring an end to things because they don't know what the [end] means. This is a placement with hesitation and every excuse in the book.

because i’m That Person, can i ask a silly little question about preferred coffee orders for any oc or grouping of your ocs? do they have preferred coffee (or tea!) orders? do they have opinions about *other* peoples’ orders? — @shoshiwrites ☕️
i'm not a coffee guy by any means but this is a fun character exercise so here are the coffee orders for everyone in the mattie/joe poet laureate/secret service AU because i've been thinking a lot about them recently
poet laureate mattie james: sugar. so so much sugar. she says it's just enough to get rid of the bitterness of black coffee but joe is pretty sure that the amount she adds is actually illegal (he still gets eight sugar packets when he orders for them both). she likes a coffee in the morning and any time she's in the recording studio
special agent joe toye: black and hot, even well into summer. it's all the army had and it's what he got used to. he can't stand all the extra shit people try to put in. a medium black coffee is good for him. "oh look at mr. inflexible set in his ways" says mattie. so he takes a sip of hers and it is as disgusting as he thought it'd be but he tried it nonetheless because who can say no to that face and those big brown eyes.
special agent johnny martin: large, two creams, two sugars. he used to be like joe but he's in his dad era now. why deny himself a little fun? sometimes he gets an iced coffee but not that nitro cold brew shit. he ordered one once and he thought he was having a heart attack. he has perfectly balanced his caffeine intake and he's not going fuck with it.
special agent bill guarnere: a dash of cream and a little sugar and hot. what is this numbers shit? a good coffee is cheap and they make it how he likes it without gettin' too fancy. there's one coffee shop he goes to in all of d.c. and god forbid he has to order from dunkin or starbucks when they're on the road. there's a lot of "back in my day" (aren't you like 28) to the baristas and johnny apologizes and shuffles him out of the store.
special agent bull randleman: iced green tea in the warm months, chai in the cold, but never matcha. matcha just tastes like dirt to him. a little caffeine but not too much. he's not his best when he's jittery and he crashes if he has too much at once. he gets a lavender green tea once and bill makes fun of him but bill tries it (and likes it) says "huh. not bad" so occasionally lavender green tea gets thrown in the mix.
supervisory special agent lewis nixon: hot, black, and in a mug from the coffee maker in the secret service administration offices. he can use something a little more mobile and he knows it, but he likes how it makes him stay in one place for a while and that it makes other people stay too. (like ms. james' witty and quite demanding harvard publicist) i mean it's good to make dick slow every once and a while.
group supervisor dick winters: sorry but you cannot convince me that 21st century dick winters is not a caffeine addict. he doesn't get into the energy drinks but he definitely always has a coffee on him and he doesn't know if caffeine has no effect on him or if he has it so much that it's now his baseline of function.
publicist/manager georgie webster: it's a ridiculous, sweet as fuck, more-syrups-than-coffee, takes-two-tickets-to-print ass order and she always manages to make the secret service foot the bill, which pisses nix off more than anything because he's the one reconciling the expense reports. "nine dollars for a grande" he mumbles and georgie bats her eyes like she can't possibly know what he's talking about.
record producer george luz: he may or may not be abusing the label's partnership with rockstar energy but he is always wide awake and on top of his shit so who's to say

WILBUR SOOT CHART ANALYSIS.
— Most of my analysis focus more on the negative impacts simply for the fact that I am attempting to contextualize most of his actions we discuss, as we talk mostly about his love life and his lyrics, and well, the bad parts of him, since we are critical. Though I will talk about positive aspects at a lot of points. I chose to do from Sun to Mars as those are the most "important" aspects, I might do something on the more secondary placements another day. Enjoy! Send asks and curiouscats about it, if you have something to say.
Virgo sun, 2nd house.
Plus, Virgos look for something concrete, while the rest of him, we will get to it, is kind of fighting against it. Virgo is Wilbur’s essence, it's who he truly is, it's the most important aspect, so for him to heal this part, specially as his.
His Sun is in the second house which might cause most of his insecurities, Wilbur seeks security, he seeks to do exactly right, the moment he fails at relationships, at any goal, it's prone to destroying him. Every failure is hell.
Libra Moon, 3rd house.
Here we get to the hell in and out of it itself, so Libra moon by itself is not a problem, yet, in this house and in conjunction with Virgo, it really causes a reaction of emotions that is rather complicated. Because here it is, Virgo already needs to have strong connections, they can though live without them, Libra moon cannot, it's absolutely horrifying to not have, Libra needs desperately to have a partnership with someone, living without it can cause a deep, deep set, emptiness. Also, there's a trait shared by Virgo and Libra moon, their ability to find problems everywhere, specially in other people, which causes conflict, and after that, the feeling of losing this partnership because of this problem, once again, destroys him.
And now the 3rd house, where it all goes even more to shit, Virgos are rational, avoid emotions, so to balance that out, the moon should act as a facilitator to that, but well, as much as Libra moon is not bad at feelings, the 3rd house is. It's 8 or 80, emotions are either extremely rationalized and looked over, avoided, or it's in big bursts. AND AND AND, this we saw so CLEARLY in him, his opinions are always changing, and there's a tendency of him to change for people, change who he is. ALSO!!!!! This placement has something very important, they seek a change of scenery, they need to move constantly, start new things, because they will get anxious and restless with, well, settling with something and staying somewhere for a long time.
Plus, I don't even have to explain, this moon placement also really really is influenced by early childhood memories, so the struggles of his childhood are very, very influential in who he is.
Leo rising.
This one kinda makes me feel bad for him, so basically, Leo risings are painfully self aware and conscious of their appearance and how they're sounding, that remembering every person who ever rejected him fits this so perfectly. Now, put that together with Virgo, his insecurities are SO strong in his life, like he's so insecure it's SAD.
But most of who he is comes from it too, Leo risings are always popular, always take leading roles, always start shit, the band, the content creation, the writing of lore, as much as his insecurities come from here too, he's also always going to be popular, because it's part of his nature. He has a natural charm that is seen in Libra moon too.
Virgo mercury, 2nd/3rd house
It's a good placement to be honest, it does end up bringing insecurity too but, it just means he's intelligent, good communicator, curious, likes to go deep, to create, pay attention to details, though he really enjoys being known by his intelligence so any time he isn't, it definitely isn't his favorite thing.
Both 2nd and 3rd houses are great, big highlight on intelligence and big highlight on creativity, also big nerd, loves reading, researching, being connected and having interests. The 3rd house especially is crazy, he has so many interests, and he always goes deep in them.
This placement literally says, this man is autistic, or at least autistic coded.
Leo Venus, 1st house.
That's what you guys want isn't it you cunts, let's talk about love. Well, if you want to know the good, they're love bombers, extreme love bombers, they will court you, they enjoy the chase, they need you, they will die for you. Well, for a while at least. The expectations are always extremely high, so high it's almost impossible to reach them, and when you do, they have this urge to be the absolute focus of your life, they want to be seen as God by you basically, that's where most his relationships fail, he imagines this relationship, and then gets hurt by the fact that reality isn't exactly what he thought it would be.
Wilbur is insecure, by nature, by every placement, so well, as much as some people might think not, him having this placement means he is incredibly high maintenance in love, incredibly so. He needs to be reassured, he needs to hear, he needs declarations. I think that's what killed him with Amelia, he wasn't the light of her life, and she replaced him, quickly. That scarred every single relationship he had ever since, that Libra factor of avoidance comes back here, he might leave and be bored before the person even proves themselves, because the trauma of having everything he wanted in love proven to him not true really scarred him.
Shubble could be in the same situation, the conflict of getting that spotlight from her and from other people, the expectations he put. ALL HIS PLACEMENTS WERE CONSPIRING AGAINST THEM! Absolutely insane.
He will not only love bomb btw, he will leave everyone and everything behind for a relationship, he deposits not only his self worth, but his happiness and his livelihood for LOVE! Silly, but so me and so bpd…
Talking about BPD, it's in the first house, which means, deep love can turn into DEEP resentment when it ends. Also he needs so badly to be liked by others that as well can cause all these feelings, not liking him, or rejecting him, can be seen as a crime.
Mars in Leo, 1st house.
Again, he needs admiration, he needs the spotlight, not having it is awful, simply not his reality. This placement reinforces that he needs to mean something, to be something, to be something great, something big, and it makes his fear of not being even deeper, all of his placements seem to simply reinforce each other, to deepen his fears and insecurities.
— Ending notes: Wilbur is an intelligent person, with leadership skills and a very very strong urge to be loved, to be devoted, to shine, to be something big. His biggest fears are the lack of that, the feeling of mediocrity, boringness, and settlement. He's anxious and insecure, to a point that it ruins most of the good things in his life, a natural overachiever, who never seems to rest. Hopeless romantic, he needs love, and quick, and deep, and intense, but also is afraid of it simply not being that, because trying made him realize it rarely is. He's interesting, high maintenance and sometimes hard to deal with, but still, all his placements show loyalty, charm, kindness and power.
This power especially, he needs to be in control of himself, of others, of how he is perceived and he needs to control his appearance to others, he strives to be perfect, universally loved, but always, no matter how much of that he seems to have. It simply isn't enough.

i actually need the oscar fans who are weird about lando and turn quite literally everything, including sponsorships and partnerships, into a competition meant to prove how much better oscar is, to just like keep lando's name out of their mouths because they're honestly so obsessed with him it makes them look stupid.
"hehE OSCAR IS SAVING US FROM GLOBAL WARMING WHILE LANDO FILMS DATES IN CHICKEN SHOPS AND PS ADS"
you are NOT going to diminish lando's impact on mclaren that your uwu precious pookie directly benefits from to continue pushing this "oscar so serious and so mature, lando cares about nothing but his video games" bullshit. lando is quite literally the only reason mclaren ever started taking mental health seriously. he's the reason they started the mind partnership, that mind have confirmed they receive impactful donations through. he's the reason mclaren now have a psychologist trackside for races, something both drivers could likely benefit from. his initiatives with mental health are the reason mclaren is now taking work-life balance more seriously, and consequently, that is the reason andrea stella gave for limiting oscar's PR work last weekend.
like i need people so be so for fucking real right now and stop acting like lando hasn't done any meaningful thing for the sport or the world at large beyond play video games. you can praise oscar for visiting a reef without mentioning lando at all. wild concept, ik.
wow the Australian driver is the one to visit reefs of his home country, crazy, just like it was so nuts that Lando did all the visits to the UK schools except OH WAIT IT MAKES SENSE
constantly comparing them, or trying to say one is better than the other for doing a thing is so OLD and not being able to big up Oscar for something without putting Lando down really just paints the picture you don't give a fuck about Oscar, you're just using him as a means to hate on Lando. it diminishes your praise for Oscar by removing the full focus from him
and I've got nothing to add to what you said on Lando and his impact on McLaren and their approach to mental health. you said it all perfectly

I know it's not Max-coded, but I have to get it off my chest. After this season, I'm formally declaring the fact that McLaren duo has a potential to become the best pair on the grid. Not just race-wise, but personal-wise. Piastri perfectly balances Norris's attitude, and they're the youngest lineup of the current teams. Also their performances, especially since Austria, are spectacular. Give them a car that can challenge Red Bull from the beginning of 2024, and they will fight for constructors championship (not saying drivers's championship cause I still very much wish for Verstappen to pass Hamilton in number of WC, but a small hope for at least one win from each of them in 2024 is there).
Um. I’d say right now they are the best *pairing* on the grid. They get on, they’re similar age but not close enough that they raced in juniors. There’s a good performance gap but it’s not a speed issue it’s an experience issue, and the gap is not too big. It’s a great pairing when you look at the top three teams and how they all comparatively have risks that McLaren don’t.
But I think it will turn at some point next year. If Oscar keeps developing at the rate he is, he will get too close to Lando very quickly and the partnership will begin to cook.
I think Lando is likely to get Piastri’d but even if he doesn’t I don’t think Oscar will be willing to play the team game for too long.

For the character ask: Clinton Jones, White Collar
(Mostly because I think there’s more to this character than meets the eye :3)
one aspect about them i love
I like his no-nonsense approach to things. Especially amidst the nonsense chaos that is the Burke-Caffrey partnership in the office. And I like that he's at the same time totally loyal to Peter, but no afraid to call him out on his relationship with Neal.
one aspect i wish more people understood about them
He's perfectly right to set clear boundaries with Neal. There has to be a counter-balance to Peter's permissiveness. And not everyone has to accept Neal's shenanigans around the office.
one (or more) headcanon(s) i have about this character
After he took over Peter's position at the office, he continued the agent-consultant partnership, but in his own way. He took a less problematic consultant that Neal was, and kept a bit more of a professional distance (possibly Robin Hoody).
as well as
one character i love seeing them interact with
Peter (see above) and Mozzie. They're just too different to ever get along and that's hilarious.
one character i wish they would interact with/interact with more
Hughes!
one (or more) headcanon(s) i have that involve them and one other character
He started dating on of the "Harvard crew" agent from the office (mostly because that's what happened in real life LOL Sharif's wife Bettany was an extra on the show)
Thank you for the ask :-) And I agree with you. I wish we'd seen more of Jones!

Here's how I would’ve wrapped up ATLA:
That kiss at the end? Never happened. Instead, it ends with the Gaang gathered together on the balcony (Aang, Sokka, Toph, Suki, Katara, and Zuko).
Katara stays behind in the Fire Nation because she's worried about Zuko's scar from Azula. Katara becomes an ambassador and spends time between the South Pole and Fire Nation. She and Zuko bond further and they as much of their free time together as they can.
Mai and Zuko's reconciliation doesn't last long when they see how much they've changed and that their feelings aren't the same, so they amicably split up. Mai does suspect that Zuko has feelings for Katara when she sees how well they get along and she surprises herself because she doesn't feel angry about it and this goes to prove that she and Zuko's feelings for each other don't exist anymore and that it was just a childhood romance.
Katara realizes that her feelings for Aang are purely sibling-like and she feels guilty for it but doesn't give any romance between her or Aang a chance because she knows it wouldn't be fair for either of them. She tries make up for her non-reciprocated feelings by staying as loyal to him as much as she can but he still tries to pursue a relationship with her. He gets jealous of her and Zuko's growing relationship and is frustrated that she still won't give him a chance since the war is over now. Eventually Katara's patience wears thin and she finally snaps at him. This causes a strain in their relationship and Aang does start to think that the problem lies with him.
Katara helps Zuko find his mother and is there for him the whole time and after he finally finds her and her family. Their partnership in the journey cements their feelings for one another. When the assassination attempts start up, they both fear losing each other and finally admit their feelings. Because of the fragility of their situation, they keep their relationship secret. Soon, when things are calming down, they make their relationship known to the Gaang and Zuko's inner circle of counselors.
Aang is, of course, devastated. As much as he knows Katara doesn't feel the same for him, he's still heartbroken and is jealous. His turmoil gets the best of him during a training session and he butts heads with Katara and Zuko and the others for his outburst. Aang talks with the past avatars and he sees how happy Zuko and Katara are together and all the good that comes from their relationship. He comes to terms with the realization that he needs to change and work on himself and he decides to travel alone for some time to reflect. Before he departs he apologizes and things between him and Zuko and Katara are left with hope.
Zuko and Katara date for a couple of years until Katara's sixteen and Zuko's eighteen when Zuko proposes. Katara of course accepts. They are officially betrothed but their wedding takes place once Katara is eighteen because there's still work to be done and they're both still young. When they are married and Katara becomes Fire Lady, the political atmosphere is significantly improved: Katara has become beloved by the people for her kindness and good deeds and she's accepted as a major influence, equal to the Fire Lord. Zuko and Katara's relationship is also accepted as a peaceful union between the Fire Nation and Water Tribes and they're made an example of balance and prosperity between differing elements.
When Zuko and Katara do finally marry, Aang has grown a lot. He is one of Zuko and Katara's biggest supporters and he is able to atone for his past behaviors and do better, thus starting a new and better friendship with Katara and Zuko. Zuko and Katara are the ones to ask him to be the one to officiate them, since he's the Avatar and it's a perfect compromise between their cultures' different customs. Aang happily accepts and he does his job perfectly.
Zuko and Katara have their first child two or three years after they marry. They end up with five kids in total: Kya, Reo, Izumi, Iroh II, and Aya.
Aang is named Kya's godfather and he's a devoted (and silly) uncle to all five kids.
Since they both have grown a lot and are now adults, Aang and Toph reconnect and they develop feelings for each other. They eventually marry and have kids of their own who grow up as friends with Zuko & Katara and Suki & Sokka's kids.
When the kids are all grown up and they've grown old, Zuko abdicates the throne in favor of Kya, who he thinks is now ready to take the reigns. Zuko and Katara retire to the Southern Water Tribe but they do visit the Fire Nation now and then to see how things are going and to see their family (their kids visit them at the South Pole as well). When Aang passes and Korra is born, Zuko and Katara are the ones to train her and send her to the Fire Nation to further training with their kids and grandkids once Korra is old enough. From there, Korra goes to Republic City to join Aang and Toph's kids and their families.

Hi........if you don't mind me asking, who are your favorite romantic relationship's couples in books/ manga/ anime/movies/tv series (can be canon or non-canon)? And why do you love them? Sorry if you've answered this question before...... Thanks....
royriza from fma bc they're kinda tragic, with a long history and intrinsic mutual trust. they put their lives in each other's hands, and yes, that means if one of them ever dares to stray from the path they've both chosen, the other would put them down immediately. they're all broken edges and lost opportunities. i like them bc of that unwavering loyalty to each other and to justice, as they're essentially working together to achieve a future where they're both rightfully sentenced for murder.
spirk bc they fit like fingers interlocked. they're a well-oiled machine, professional to a painful degree, they'd put the lives of others before their own, and that self-sacrificial thing hurts each other severely even if they both understand why it had to be done. they can live without each other, it just hurts to. their appeal is in their restraint, their commitment to duty, and their wordless understanding of how the other's mind works. there has never been a more matching partnership to me. and they too, are kind of tragic. spock will outlive kirk by hundreds of years and he will remember every single, fleeting and breathtaking moment that he had with kirk for the rest of his quiet, solemn life.
iwaoi bc yes, they're childhood friends, but they're kind of feral about it. it's not sweet with them. they've seen each other in too many embarrassing situations to have any sort of bubbly love atmosphere. there is no one else who could understand them like each other, and no one else who could annoy them so effectively as each other. (well. maybe ushijima annoys them the best.) with them, it's about--a united front. you go high, i go low, you attack, i defend. you know my failings and i know yours and we plug those holes up because we learned to. it's not an instinct, or a magic power. everything that they have together, they worked their asses off for. that teamwork? it's a skill. the fact that they know each other so well through sheer goddamn practice? it's something else.
klance bc they could've been so much, but were never allowed to be. in them i saw a universe expanding. they were so bright and full of life and it left such a bitter taste in my mouth when they drifted to different paths in the end, paths undeserving of either of them. there was banter and inspiring cooperation. they made each other feel things, brought each other out of their respective heads and into the world. there was no time to be alone, no time to feel like you were less than, if you were fighting with someone so alive. arguing and competing and evolving in tandem with someone so perfectly matched for you. they were balance, about to be perfected, before it all got knocked over. they learned from each other, had each other's backs. they grew together rapidly and amazingly--but only for a short while. they could've had so much longer. they could've had that sunset forever.
kiribaku bc they elevate each other. they've got the same strain of victory and ambition in their hearts, just as they have the same poison of self-image. of insecurity. they could not be more similar, and yet they are complete opposites. and in each other, they find inspiration and solace and validation. their relationship is effortlessly easy, but don't mistake it for one of convenience. they're solid, and completely genuine with each other. there are no masks between them. they are the fear of being known and the reward of being loved, as silly as it sounds. they know each other's weaknesses, and they're daring the other to do better. their relationship is a foundation. persevering, carefully undertaken, reliable--a precursor to an awe-inspiring structure. they've got so much to go from here. try and take your eyes off them.
--
overall, i'd say the running theme between all of these ships is that they're all about equals. two sides of the same coin, yada yada. there's something so...good, about two people complementing and contrasting each other; about trusting each other as much, if not more, than themselves.
about being great on your own, but amazing together.

Out there, in the most lifeless regions of space, Anakin had simply found a way to find him.
Obi-Wan and Anakin. Anakin and Obi-Wan. The mentor who took careful, measured steps; the Padawan who charged forward with explosive power and, it seemed, ridiculous luck. Despite their age difference, despite their rank difference, despite their personality difference, they always got the job done.
...
Obi-Wan wondered if Qui-Gon had forseen all of this – not just his own loss at the hands of the vicious Sith Lord on Naboo, but the fact that Qui-Gon would forever tie two opposing forces together, their partnership always edging towards spinning out of control, but always finding a way to make a happy landing.
It took not having that intrinsic link to Anakin for Obi-Wan to finally see how much they needed each other. Not just on a strategic level, but to keep each other in check – Obi-Wan's tactical diplomacy pulling in Anakin's impossible drive, and Anakin's overwhelming everything-ness removing a layer of Obi-Wan's measured, clinical thinking.
(Brotherhood by Mike Chen)
This description of Obi-Wan and Anakin's relationship !!!!!! 🥺🥺❤️ Wow. It's perfect. I love it so much.
The way they're both so different, yet so perfectly matched in a way that is balanced. They both bring completely different things to the table, a completely different energy, yet it works, without either of them having to change anything about themselves. It's like it was meant to be. Two polar opposite energies that just work.
And Obi-Wan appreciates Anakin for who he is – his stubbornness, his drives, his intensity and energy. – despite the fact that it drives him crazy. It's exactly what he needs. Though he may shake is head in frustration at Anakin's wild antics at times, he doesn't really want Anakin to be anything other than exactly who he is.

Ethan & Tiffany: Endgame (HC)
Tumblr media
A quick reminder: I've rejected canon Third Year completely, so mind that none of OHTY bs happens in my E&T canon timeline.
A/N: I tried my best to write every major fact down - hopefully the final product isn’t too messy or too boring, I’m new to the headcanon business and this isn’t even written in the headcanon form because I’m a rebel lol
Huge thanks to the lovely Anon who requested this HC and every single one of you still interested in E&T’s shenanigans, your support is the greatest gift I could ever receive! If you have some more specific questions about these two, feel free to hit my askbox anytime 💕
Now let’s check what’s in store for Tiffany and Ethan!
Children
Neither of them planned children in their lives; they were perfectly comfortable in the relationship they had—living together, advancing their glittering careers while supporting each other, slaying the game as the ultimate power couple.
But life has its ways, of course, and a week prior to their third anniversary Tiffany found out she was pregnant. The news sparked blind panic in the 30-year-old doctor; she thought her whole world fell like dominoes. Tiffany wouldn't intentionally start a family: she'd just started turning her dreams and plans into reality and she didn't even consider herself fit to be a mother (even though deep down she craved it).
She'd spent an entire week full of doubts, listing all her options, before she finally shared the news with Ethan. His reaction was surprisingly calm, considering his stance on having children. Based on the evidence gathered throughout the week, he'd already suspected pregnancy and did some calculations on his own.
They both agreed it wasn’t the best time—their busy schedules didn’t allow them to even reconsider the concept of starting a family. Nevertheless, the baby was coming, and their hearts filled with strange excitement. Having a baby on board seemed surreal at first, but after the dust had settled they felt oddly content about the unforseen circumstances.
E&T's world turned upside down the second their son was born. Raising a child happened to be the greatest challenge these two brilliant doctors had encountered. Luckily, they both relish a good challenge. Guided by the unexpected overflow of affection, they quickly settled into the alien routine of parenthood.
Nathaniel Jonah (also known as NJ, Nate) turned out to be a perfect blend of his parents' most prominent features & traits: Ethan's ocean eyes and stubbornness mixed with Tiffany's smile and warm heart.
Three years later, another surprise awaited. The most shocking thing about the second pregnancy was that it didn't happen sooner (they'd been exceptionally careless). Nicolette „Letty”, a spitting image of her mother, stole Ethan's heart from the start, bringing even more joy to their controlled chaos.
The fancy condo was too small for a family of four, so The Ramdams were forced to find a new home. They moved to a dreamy house in the Boston suburbs merely a month before their daughter was born.
The third one (for a change) received a proper invitation to this world. Tiffany wasn't the biggest fan of the idea of having another baby, but her window was closing (she was 38) and Ethan's palpable excitement tipped the scales. Everyone jokes Aine must be adopted because she's the most unproblematic angel, unlike her parents.
The family wouldn't be full without pets: Nettie (British Shorthair cat) & Hopper (English bulldog).
Tumblr media
Marriage
Marriage was never on their agenda. Neither of them felt the need to make their relationship formal, it wouldn't change anything between them—they were already acting like a married couple. Both Tiffany and Ethan think there are more valuable symbols of love than some paper signed in the presence of everyone they know. Partnership they were in seemed like the most comfortable and obvious choice.
The topic resurfaced with the pregnancy news. Our good guy Ethan, our Mr Must-Do-What’s-Right, proposed to Tiffany on their third anniversary dinner, right after they discovered they were expecting. He did it because it made sense. Because it was convenient. Because it was a decent thing to do.
But guess what...Tiffany rejected the proposal. She didn’t want to marry out of obligation. If they were really going to jump into marriage, she wanted it to matter. Ethan understood her point of view, though it didn't stop him from jokingly annoying her on every given occasion that she rejected him.
He waited two years before popping the question again. This time she said yes.
Dr. Grumpsey was willing to agree on a lavish wedding if Tiffany would insist. Lucky for him, his woman hates big, conventional weddings and all that unnecessary attention around the reception. They're both very private people, so they planned the wedding they were actually excited about.
They eloped to Miami where it all started, exchanging vows to the accompaniment of the ocean waves, with little NJ by their side. The wedding reception was just three people enjoying their day at the beach.
As you may suspect, their friends and family flew into a rage when they found out the wedding took place behind their backs. Jackie's death threats were particularly disturbing, so E&T decided to throw an afterparty for their loved ones only.
Career
Tiffany saw her future in diagnostics and followed that path, balancing her personal goals with striving for improvement in patient care. The word about her accomplishments with one of the best diagnostics teams spread fast; shortly after her challenging yet successful residency, Doctor Addams quickly proved to be one of the most valuable and respected diagnosticians—not only at Edenbrook, but also statewide, and later nationwide. She cracked some of the toughest, most hopeless cases, saving lives of many patients considered lost causes.
During her first pregnancy, her career was already on high speed and the situation made her even more determined to keep it that way. She didn't want to sacrifice her newly established position and Ethan did everything he could to support her and her career development.
She remained a vital part of Edenbrook's Diagnostics Team under Ethan's leadership for a few years. Their minds combined gave spectacular results and above it all they truly enjoyed working together. However, when Letty was born sharing responsibilities at home and managing the time got significantly harder. With minimal hesitation, Ethan decided it was his cue to leave.
He'd been thinking about the change for much longer than he was willing to admit: over the years he'd accomplished everything he could dream of and Edenbrook had become more of a duty than a challenge. So he quit, leaving the team in the most capable hands of Doctor Addams-Ramsey.
For a year and a half The Ethan Ramsey was a stay-at-home dad, juggling family, research for his second book and setting up his clinic with none other than Tobias Carrick.
Ethan wasn't 100% convinced if starting the practice with Tobias would be a wise move, but the clinic exceeded his expectations. Apart from the great sense of accomplishment, he finally gained full independence at work. And there were no bloody interns to babysit anymore.
When little Ramdams got older, he approached Tiffany with a job offer; the best diagnostician in the country was the last missing link in his clinic. She let it marinate for a few years and accepted the offer at the launch of her second book, soon after Letty's 18th birthday.
____
If there’s a typo or a mistake somewhere...No, there isn’t kgjdkgjdk
Thanks for reading 🥰 I have a few exciting fics in the making (both AUs & canon) and I hope I’ll be able to finish them soon!

Maybe it's just me, but it bugs me that people fixate SO much on Lauren and Leyla's class differences. Like yes, obviously they've got a big one, but I feel like they worked out a dynamic in s3 that we witnessed but didn't need to be explicitly stated. Leyla set her boundaries and they kept it simple. Lauren never wavered until the residency and seemed like she'd be perfectly content eating takeout on the floor with her for the rest of her life. And the donation was something else entirely, and it bugs me that they're making it about wealth entitlement instead of simply fear and lying. And besides giving large amounts of money away, when has Lauren ever acted "rich"? She lives in a nice building and takes taxis to work. That's literally it? How awful for a hard working doctor at a public hospital in NYC.
I hate to think they'd have to walk on eggshells about money from now on when that's just not what this was ever about...
And I feel stuck because I feel like we can't tell Leyla she's wrong. Like how can you have her say those things and then have her take them back? That feels just as icky as having her say them in the first place.
They really dug a deep ditch with this one.
no, you have a good point and if we're getting into the nitty gritty of it, i think it's less about class difference and more about boundaries. don't get me wrong, i do think their class difference is an element in their relationship but more so in the mindset of how they approach and value things but they've both shown that they're more than capable and willing to see each other's viewpoints on it (ex. 4x02). after all lauren's never shown any signs of being attached to or dependent on her wealth outside of what she makes from her own job. even then from what we've seen, she could probably live more lavishly on her salary alone. but while she doesn't use her wealth, knowing it's there if she needs it does make her more receptive to ideas where large sums of money can help without a second thought. to clarify though, i don't mention that as a knock against lauren at all.
them walking on eggshell moving forward more so hinges on reestablishing the trust and understanding as to what's acceptable sharing in a partnership and when it's feels unequal. because you're right and i've talked about it before, leyla never gave any signs of being uncomfortable with how their boundaries (sans this residency spot fiasco) and balance in the relationship was. given what we know about how head strong leyla is, i really find it hard to believe that she felt wrong about the food and clothes and other things that lauren may have paid for and went along with it instead of drawing a line and talking to lauren about it. hell 4x02 is the exact case and point. leyla had no problem after the residents got into her head about the town car, stethoscope and ipad, hunting down lauren and saying (demanding lol) 'take these things back.' why wouldn't she have done the same thing about the clothes and insisting that she contribute more towards paying for food? i know leyla wasn't making a ton of money as a drivetime driver but she did have some income.
i hesitate to say that the show/story is making it about wealth entitlement rather than that's what fandom has discussed/zeroed in on. when the idea of a donation for a residency spot has been brought up, the focus hasn't been on the money. when casey finds out, his biggest sticking point is that it undermined what leyla worked for and that it's unethical. when floyd brought it up, his focus was on whether nottingham deserved his spot and eventually proving that yes he did regardless of how it was acquired. even leyla's first focus in their last scene in 4x10 was feeling like she didn't earn her residency spot after all. given what we've seen from the story itself, i truly think that leyla bringing up the food and clothes is a result of finding out about the donation retroactively warping her views on innocent things in their relationship. like how she didn't have a problem with the gifts lauren gave her until the residents gave her grief and conflated it to her being privileged. there's just been too many instances of leyla pushing back against lauren when she disagreed for it to be as simple as 'oh i didn't feel comfortable but just bit my tongue.' plus leyla's shown signs of major imposter syndrome (even if the show doesn't technically label it as such) and that probably fueled the fire of her feeling like she lucked into things instead of earning it herself.
so given all of that, i wouldn't necessarily say the writers are stuck/have backed themselves into an impossible situation. as much as we want lauren to have some self reflection, i think it's fair to say that on leyla's end as well because i don't think some of the things she said were fair. again, and it seems like such a simple fix or at least start to mending bridges but communication, communication, communication. i'm sure there are people who wonder how could lauren ever atone for making the donation and letting leyla accept the residency spot without knowing the full context? to me, i think it's genuinely as easy as starting with lauren understanding the core of why she did what she did and being able to explain that to leyla. on the flipside, why couldn't leyla have her own introspection and own up that she knows some of the things she said wasn't a fair interpretation of lauren's kindness but that she was blinded by her own hurt and betrayal in the moment?
there's still a whole 12 episodes to play out and we're barely on the tip of what's to come from the fallout. i'm really curious as to what leyla's appearance in 4x13 will be like and i /assume/ it'll be her having a conversation with floyd so it'll be interesting to see what comes out of that. it'll probably give us better insight as to what's to come.

They really want attention, three out of five of these men were actual villains, also was Yakone not a father as well?...
Tumblr media
"From the top of my head, here we have:
Toph's - Overprotective and misunderstanding of his daughter due to poor communication. Daughter ran away after the pressure gets to her and he then sends men after her to bring her back to him. Reconciles after the war and after his disowning of her. Supports her metal-bending efforts and starts a partnership with his daughter on the basis of being equals. Nuanced father, not a bad father and possibly the best one on this list.
Zuko + Azula's - Firelord Ozai.
Mai's - Had daughter molded to being a perfectly obedient child which resulted in her suppressing her emotions and not necessarily knowing the best way to express them at times. Seems to be a decent father to Tom Tom however until he becomes obsessive and extreme in his plans of overthrowing and possibly murdering Firelord Zuko, his daughter's ex and close friend, who is only seventeen years old. Kidnapping children in his conspiration with Princess Azula and physically dueling with his daughter. Feeling remorse however, he thwarts Azula's plans and turns himself into the authorities, remaining imprisoned for however long. Pretty awful father but with a conscious.
Asami's - Built a name for himself in Republic City to honour his wife and daughter while harbouring a grudge against benders for taking his wife away from him. Is otherwise assumed to be a good father seeing as how Asami didn't believe Korra and company at first that Mr. Sato would be up to something so nefarious, and also in her not partaking in those activities herself. Becomes overzealous in his anti-bending plans and tries to kill or seriously injure his daughter. Becomes estranged from her for years until he's released from prison to mend their relationship by helping save Republic City in unison. Ultimately redeems himself through death.
Bumi, Kya and Tenzin's - Bumi and Kya have I believe to be a five year age gap, which possibly means the timing and amount of children had between Aang and Katara were calculated though not in an entirely cold way as that'd probably otherwise suggest, as it's very much suggested those children were loved anyways. Bumi turns out to be a non-bender which cuts the attention he would receive from his renowned parents in half, nevermind detracting it from his two younger and bending siblings, the other being one out of two airbenders in the world. He had many other support systems and outlets yet it's highly suggested he just wanted more time with his now deceased, larger than life biological father figure which would've healed his feelings of inadequacies twofold.
Kya had the most attention given from her mother due to her water-bending skills and Katara having finding immense value in keeping alive SWT heritage. Katara however would be able to afford to divide her attention much more evenly than Aang would seeing as her role in the household allowed more freedom for a greater balance between a more normal domestic life and other priorities. Kya recalls Aang barely paying attention to her and Bumi, which results in the resentment she felt for him and Tenzin being brought to the surface.
Tenzin is an entire comment by himself. I'll actually exhaust myself speaking any longer on this, but he evidently had the most positive yet complex relationship with Avatar Aang.
In spite of that, they all agree that they were happy nonetheless, as they're family.
I'm hesitant to say how exactly Aang was as a parent because we kind of need more of Aang's perspective and more insight into their family life, also more knowledge on how Katara dealt with this. He definitely could've been better no doubt about it, but I don't think he was as awful as some make him out to be. I think he was decent... He teeters from leaning more on bad to good a lot due to his own circumstances and also the effects this had on his children overall. Very complicated."

Tumblr media
✧ Thank you so much for requesting a matchup love. Tumblr is not letting me tag you so hopefully you’ll see this. 😔 I wish you well during this challenging time. Hope you keep safe as well! 😷
I’d match you with: . . .
Tumblr media
➜ HOW YOU TWO FIRST MET ; Juza Hyodo is that typical cold guy in school that everyone is lowkey scared of. That’s how he seems from outside anyway. You were asked by your biology teacher to borrow the books for the class’s current lesson from the library on the spot so you took a beeline for the shelves as fast as you could. But for god’s sake all the books were placed at the topmost part of the science shelves. You stood there for a good minute while glaring at the books overhead. You knew you were damned for good since there were no chairs nearby that were available and the librarian was nowhere to be seen. You stomped you feet in annoyance until you felt a looming presence behind you. A tall one. When you turned around, you saw Juza grabbing the books at ease and handing it to you. You thanked him quietly which surprised him because you actually didn’t quiver with fear or panic in his presence??? and you genuinely thanked him?? It was not usual for him to hear someone express their gratitude towards him. Even the cashiers from sweet shops he’d like to visit secretly we’re scared of him for heaven’s sake. After murmuring a little “‘S nothing.” he walked away. And that was the end of it. Or so you thought. The second time you met the purple haired boy was in a cafe. You were patiently waiting in the line for this so called Peanut Butter Pound Cake S'mores. According to your friends, it was one of the best desserts the cafe ever had. To test that theory, you decided to check the dessert yourself. Everything was perfectly normal until a young teenage boy of average height with fluffy pink hair and light blue eyes bumped into you, spilling a little of his drink on you. Yes, I’m talking about Muku. Baby boy was so scared and flustered, he apologized to you multiple times like crazy. Luckily it wasn’t anything hot so you didn’t burn yourself. Giving the boy a soft smile, you said it was fine and he shouldn’t worry about it. But he is a kind-hearted and modest boy with the motto "doing one good deed each day" so of course he offered you to give some of the Chocolate-Caramel Sandwich Cookies he had ordered before to apologize properly. Normally you would’ve reject the offer but with the way he was looking at you, you couldn’t find the heart to do so. While waiting for your order together, you learned what the boy’s name was and that he came here with his cousin. When you heard that the first image that popped into your mind was a soft looking person just like him you. After you got your order, the two of you made your way towards their table. And with that, your previous thought was thrown out of the window just like that. There he was, one and only Juza Hyodo, the person who helped you in the library, was sitting in a chair, quietly munching on one of the many sweets in front of him. When Muku announced that he was back, his eyes shot up to him and then shifted towards you. Yeah, it was awkward. Nevertheless, you tried to offer the tall boy a smile, which he just nodded his head, cheeks tilted pink to get his sweet tooth exposed to someone from school. After you sat down, Muku began to explain how he accidentally bumped into you and spilled some of his drink on you. Juza got the picture and said nothing. Though, gradually he started to become more comfortable. Before you knew it, you befriend the young teenage boy with fluffy hair. You told Muku how you two first met, which he only exclaimed how cool his cousin was and how the scene was just like from a shoujo manga. So yeah, your friendship with Juza started that day and slowly but steadily developed into something more. You would see him at school and chat with him, give him snacks to eat together on the rooftop etc.
➜ PERSONALITY COMPATIBILITY ; Let me just start of by saying that you two are really similar in terms of personality. A loner who is shy, quiet, awkward, likes alone time yet still friendly and good-willing towards others? Yeah, you get to point. When you're dating someone who has almost identical personality traits as you, reading them becomes easier. Juza is honest and critical of himself but is more than willing to work hard on it to improve himself and so are you. You two motive each other become better versions of yourselves, constantly pushing forward hand in hand ad I think that’s a beautiful thing in a relationship. You two have the same values. He deeply values his comrades and family so he would love it whenever he saw you getting along with Muku or Kumon. He’s very protective of those he holds dear, so watching you interact with them and care for them as if they were your own family would make him fall for you even more. The same goes for him as well. He’ d try his utmost best to get along with your family. Physical affection is OUT the window in the first start of your guys' relationship though. And when you guys DO start attempting physical contact, he'd be so stiff. Baby boy really hasn’t had a lot of experience in regards to how to treat others with affection outside of his family. 🥺 but deep down, Juza has a soft side. He’s a bit shy with showing his affections, but he tries his utmost best to convey his love to you― one of them being if you ever needed him support with ANYTHING honestly, he’ll always make it known to you that you have his full support and that he’s always right beside you through everything.
➜ SHARED ACTIVITIES ; With an delinquent-like appearance that often gives people a "scary" impression of him, I feel like Juza would rather spend time inside rather than outside. For those with a serious sweet tooth, baking, especially with a lover has a double benefit: It engages the two of you in an activity you probably don't do often, and you get to enjoy something delicious afterward. You two make an especially decadent dessert when you're feeling ambitious, or simply break out a boxed mix if you're short on time — or baking skills. At first times, there is a lot of trial and error and you guys end up getting covered in flour and such, a cheeky smile present on your face. These are usually the times where you get to hear Juza’s rare laughs as he joined in your joy. Feeling too lazy to bake something? Have a candy tasting. Satisfying your sweet tooth is a foolproof way to survive. Stock up on different colors of Starbursts, Gummi Bears or Worms, Sour Straws, Hi-Chews, and whatever else you are craving— and then eat your way through the rainbow together. Bonus points if you’re lounging off your sugar coma with a movie on the couch afterwards, he doesn’t particularly mind what kind so it’s totally up to you which genre you want to watch. This one is technically not a date but sometimes you, Juza, Muku and Kumon play board games. Depending on how competitive you are, this idea can be a little dangerous. (looking at you monopoly.) But it’s always a blast to spend time with people you love and cherish.
➜ ZODIAC COMPATIBILITY ; Juza’s birthday is on September 27, which makes him a Libra. When Libra and Scorpio come together in a love match, they tend to make a very emotionally connected and mutually satisfying union. Though Scorpio is a brooder who can get lost in the confusing welter of their own emotions, Libra’s proclivity for balance and harmony helps keep Scorpio even. Scorpio can return the favor to Libra with their characteristic powers of focus, a trait that Libra usually lacks. These two are very compatible due to their similar needs in a love relationship: Libra is the Sign of Partnership, and Libra is happiest when in a well-balanced and intimate relationship, while Scorpio thrives on emotional and sexual intimacy with their mate. These two Signs can make a very loyal, close and satisfying partnership. What’s the best aspect of the Libra-Scorpio relationship? The power they find in unity. They can accomplish a lot, whether they come together for a cause in the business or romantic sphere. They are both winners and they won’t give up, making theirs a relationship that takes care of business.
