I love the shape language for Machete and Vasco, how angular and pointy the former is VS how round and soft the other... It's so GOOD I adore that

Thank you! I like the contrast as well, it makes them very fun to draw together. I try to keep them visually distinct while still making sure that they look harmonious and complementary next to each other.

#some more design musings that I've noticed that don't really matter but I tend to think about when drawing them:#Machete's shapes have an upward direction the ears the neck fluff and even the tip of his snout has that upturned angle #while Vasco's vibe is more loose and relaxed his huge floppy ears almost make him look like he's melting #neither of them have strong markings but the positioning of the gradients they have is very similar it's just different colors #Vasco has dark almond eyes (with what I can only describe as disney eyelashes)#his irises appear nearly black but if you shone a strong light directly on them they'd reveal a honey/amber hue #Machete's eyes are big and prominent with disproportionally small pupils #lately I've been drawing him with just the faintest salmon colored irises #but if the color scheme of the piece calls for it they can be depicted more vividly red #Machete has longer untameable fur here and there while Vasco is uniformly smooth and velvety #Machete is supposed to be the serious and inhibited half of the two but his face has a lot more expressive potential than Vasco's #it's actually kind of a struggle that I can't make Vasco emote with his ears at all those are typically a huge advantage in furry art #Vasco's body language is open and casual he takes up space confidently #Machete is usually very closed and defensive he has a habit of crossing his arms and legs and keeping his hands together and close to body #in general Vasco shouldn't be wearing anything black or red and Machete can't be seen wearing blue or gold #white is neutral territory it's usually the color of sleepwear and undershirts and as a result has a more intimate tone to it #answered #ardate

#rarely does he wear low waisted trousers #praise be #this is something alex turner didn’t sort until 2016 LOL #a lot of his jackets are cropped Or go further than his waist #perhaps you can just put this down to fashions changing but the other members are less consistent w it #and he tucks in his shirt #sometimes fully sometimes partially but it creates a nicer waistline #and the few times it’s been untucked lately the shirts sit nicely on him or it’s for a more casual look like the kaj pa ester premier #or he’s wearing his short shorts #i mean nace rarely (if ever) tucks in his shirts #i pay a lot of attention to what my fav little 174cm men are wearing bc i am their height #he does seem to put care into splitting his outfits into thirds rather than half’s #not at all projecting here LOL #halves*#bojan cvjetićanin #nace jordan #joker out

#Doodles #SCII #Honestly mostly speculating around VUX baby clothes #And casual clothes generally but especially comfy clothes!#I could've sworn I saw a set at one point of baby ZEX but I haven't been able to find it again ah #Reverse-engineering design from the military uniforms - I mean it's only assumed that they have tunics as only their upper bodies are shown #But definitely nothing that would impede their arm mobility! I imagine a lot of loose and flowy clothing generally ♪#Babies all tend to be in something soft and loose to allow them to move without catching ♫ Little infant gowns ah <3 #Would a VUX baby enjoy being swaddled? I think so - like the full-body pressure of water!#I do wonder about VUX culture insofar as gendered clothing as well - jewelry is across the board so that seems more like a class thing #Lots of little ones here with tiny tendril or tail accessories hehe <3 #On their stubby little tendrils! it’s really sad that i always looked forward to rhaenyra and/or alicent scenes last season but i now feel the urge to fast forward every time one of them comes on screen

- every alicent scene is her looking sad or crying or her with cole but nothing she does adds anything of value to the plot

- we get the same black council scene in which the men are undermining rhaenyra twice per episode and still nothing is done (i do believe she will make some progress in the next episodes but it’s just so boring to watch her have the same scene over and over again)

cersei and dany i miss you both so much

#and there are other characters in the show that are so much more interesting but but don’t get the screen time they deserve #and i know that they’re women and they have to face these struggles for it to be realistic but they did that last season too and they found #a way for it to not be repetitive #but rhaenyra just being so soft and always looking for peace is just so frustrating especially after how season 2 ended up #and obviously she’s the rightful heir and the better option for the iron throne but oh my god they have made her character so uninteresting #to watch #and i really liked rhaenyra in s1 and i thought she had a lot of potential as a character #in a show where the majority of the characters are supposed to be morally grey (even if done clumsily) she doesn’t stand out #and what has become of alicent is worse because she’s not even doing anything anymore but she’s still being forced into the story #with random plot lines #i wish they would just let the characters be and give them as much screen time as they need #and i don’t want to watch a show about good team vs bad team i wish they have given rhaenyra more complexity #because even though aegon sucks and they made him the worse thing a person can be and unredeemable #i am unfortunately not bored whenever he is onscreen #and i think so far they have established that the targaryens suck so many times even if they do good things every once in a while #aegon sucks viserys sucks aemond sucks dany sucks daemon sucks #all of them to different extents and in different ways ofc #but let my girl rhaenyra suck a little too because she deserves it 😫#she lost her father her son her daughter her throne let her be a little more like she was in the book #she was not a saint and her character deserves to not be reduced to being a good peaceful queen #hotd negativity #anti hotd #i must also say that i am a casual fan im not here to make analysis of the characters or discuss whether plot lines from the book should #have been changed #im not watching the show critically and this is just something i have noticed and has bothered me every time a new episode drops

#j. talks #went to visit my brother in his uni city and also connected it with an event there #I know this event because I went there once with a uni course that of course was with my fave former prof #so I know she's usually there but it's a bigger city and Friday and there are a lot of things at different locations #chances are not zero but I thought come on if anything it will be casual running into her #well as I was waiting with my brother and a whole crowd of people to be let in who do I hea #and see :))) yeah it's my fave prof. and I told my brother and he told me to go and say hi but there were so many people already talking to #her and also going there and saying hi so I simply couldn't. I literally froze our shoulders were nearly touching but she wasn't even facin #me and taking and I just followed my brother and he was like???#what was that?? and I didn't know. and he asked my why I looked so shameful out of all the emotions I chose shame #and I don't know. I don't know why shame I consuming me no matter where I go. but she was busy and imagine I go up and she has no idea who #am anymore. they had to burry me right there and then. so that was that :) now #the name of that street of the location burned into my memory as I was facing the wall well it's the name of [redacted] who I never really #get over and it's been 10 years now soon. and we had a similar experience in December :) where I would have loved nothing more really than #to talk (in Decembar definitely also other things that I miss on some days very much) but I barely got a wave #so yeah :) I actually had a great day but I am more than overwhelmed. I feel like crying and hiding #taurus season is apparently not here to save me? idk #is this all about wasted potential and shame stopping me? maybe. but how the fuck do I get it out of me

Sometimes I do think it's funny that despite being born a legal US Citizen, I am more pro-immigration than my grandparents are, both of whom immigrated here.

daily "i wanna get back into cosplay but i'm gonna look so bad and no one will recognize who i'm supposed to be and it's gonna fit all awkward so what's the point" time

#like excuse me for the internalized fatphobia i'm gonna deliver here #but. as nice as it is to see ppl say anyone can cosplay #if you're fat you WILL be treated differently. both in cons and online #unless your cosplay is 100% perfect and accurate and sits perfectly on you. and the character is already not too skinny #speaking from my own experience and from seeing fellow fat cosplayers in the past #bestie said we can do casual cosplay aka characters in regular clothes that they might wear #but it is. very detached from reality. this isn't really smth i can do and actually call cosplay. it's just putting on a wig #which skinny ppl can get away with but not us #i was in casts where i put a lot of effort into my costume and pics etc and barely anyone recognized it #while others in the cast did this casual cosplay sort of thing and ppl still got them. bc well they're shaped like the character ig #it's very disheartening and one of the reasons i stopped doing it really #i loved doing it but after having other bad experiences in events too it felt like the price and time aren't justified #and it always felt pointless to put in more effort when ik i won't look good in it anyway #or at least. won't look anything like the character no matter how hard i try 🥲#but now that i'm into smth with cool designs that makes me wanna get back into it #and now that i actually started planning stuff and checked prices etc #i'm once again sad abt it. which is why i'm having second thoughts. bc is it worth it #i dunno. sorry for the ramble. hope the generalization isn't hurtful i'm just giving my own view and feelings on the matter #if you're a fat cosplayer i hope no one is ever mean to you about it ever and i hope you keep doing it

hell day today and i'm only two hours into my EIGHT HOUR SHIFT

#9 to 5 by dolly parton starts playing in the background..#literally had to open up shop alone 2day and also was entirely alone for the first 45 min. of my shift so that was already a negative start #to the day + i heard that i can't have my break later than two thirty which is very bad for me bc 1) there'll be a lot of ppl all around me #when i'm eating which i already dislike and 2) like 85% of ppl taking their break around that time are VERY noisy eaters so even worse and #then 3) it'll be really loud in the room as well bc everyone's talking loudly and eating and the cutlery's clanging against plates and such #and also some ppl have actual full-blown arguments with each other in the break room bc half the ppl here hate each other's guts so more #negatives to the day and then on top of that we've had sooooo many annoying customers already today who r just. intent on making u stressed #out and upset and literally will tell u to your face to 'do your job better' like bro...i can easily tell you haven't worked in retail....#also someone hung their clothes on the rack outside the fitting rooms which is where u hang ur clothes when you're DONE fitting them & don'#want them bc they don't fit or don't sit right or u just don't rlly like them after all so if clothes are hanging there we the ppl working #there WILL take them and hang them back in their original places what did u expect to happen?? anyway someone hung the clothes they had #tried on already and did want there and i reached out to take them bc like. that's what we do here..we hang the clothes on the 'discard #rack' back in the store bc else the rack gets stuffed and the woman literally grabbed my arm and said 'those are mine what do u think you'r #doing' LIKE?????? GIRL THE RACK'S THERE FOR A REASONNNN ofc i'm going to assume u don't want them anymore if they're hanging there that's #why it's called the DISCARD rack....also how am i to know those specific clothes are yours HONESTLYYYYYY STFU AND GET OFF ME #ALSO some dude was like (to his child but like. looking at me while he said it.) 'this guy needs a haircut doesn't he' bc my hair is kinda #long and apparently i passed today. Also, vaguely related to the last post: I do think sometimes ppl overstate the like. Importance of religion/Christian culture when writing about the Wittebane brothers-

(not that it's not a very strong element of the story that Philip is a critique of Christian institutions, but rather bc, based on what we know, both of them stopped holding explicit Christian values at some point during adulthood, if they ever really cared and weren't just witch-hunting for social clout/material gains like the reenactment in thanks to them shows. Philip only uses it as an ideological shield to buster his own notion of heroism, as in, he knows Christianity is Good but he can't be bothered to actually demonstrate it's values (like not murdering your brother) which fits with his primary metaphor as a colonist/modern conservative.(bc something something social norms and dominant groups and excuse to commit heinous crimes you know are heinous but are apathetic towards) and uh. I think it's safe to say Caleb wasn't super concerned about things like sex w/in marriage when he was already bumping a supposed 'servant of the dark' (Evelyn, my faceless darling beloved). Okay, tangent over)

-but I will be the first to admit that, as an ex-catholic, sometimes applying a twisted version of the imagery associated with Christianity to a story about murder and betrayal fucks severely. even if I don't think it would hold great significance to Philip as a person/character if he were to creepily hum "oil in my lamp" as he lights the ring of fire that he and Caleb have their death match in (he's sooooo culturally Christian who considers himself an enlightened atheist on Reddit core)...the idea and how it'd look to us as an audience? Based.

It's actually fully possible that Caleb got Evelyn pregnant outside of marriage #and like. Again #I doubt Philip cared #more focused on the witch thing #but it's still kinda funny to my. Slut!
