One of the most obscure enemies in the Mario franchise is the Nyan, an enemy from the highly limited Yoshi no Cookie: Kuruppon Oven de Cookie for the Super Famicom. In addition to a regular Yoshi's Cookie mode, this game also features a mode where Yoshi visits various houses that teach the player how to bake actual cookies in real life.

One of the houses, the Utensil Mansion, features a timed minigame of Yoshi needing to find all necessary utensils for baking while searching cupboards. Sometimes, the Nyan appears, which will not go away until Yoshi finds a can of "Nyan food". If he does not find the Nyan food quickly enough, the Nyan will decrease the minigame's timer.

while I don’t agree with that referring to men in their 30s-early 40s as “old man yaoi”, I UNDERSTAND why many people who primarily consume honest-to-goodness BL manga are quicker to call it that, because there is just such poor representation for men that aren’t hairless dehydrated 20-something twunks. They’re wrong, but I get why it happens.

I also understand that “middle-aged yaoi” isn’t as fun to say as “old man yaoi”, even when it’s more technically accurate.

So I would like to propose new vocabulary: Grown Ass Yaoi. yaoi that’s grown ass men. they’re not old but they’re not young adults either. you get me? Grown Ass Yaoi

i think when we used to point out that a story didn't need a sex scene what we meant was "this story reduces its women to mere sex objects and gives them no interiority so the sex scenes are gratuitous and geared towards the male gaze" it wasn't the sex that bothered us per se it was the objectification of female characters while givig them little to no consequence to the overall story but nowadays people mean "sex is icky and gross and has no merit to ever be portrayed in our arts which should be good and pure and never ever make ME feel discomfort" and it's like. i bet a bowl of unfrosted flakes looks real good to you rn
