writing dakota is interesting because theyre not really a "romance" person and theyll treat MC the same way they treat any short fling (before it progresses ofc) and im always like "how far can i go with writing dakota as honestly as possible without upsetting people" and its always a constant fight between making characters nicer for the sake of not demoralizing people when it comes to the routes and "this is how the character is right now people just need to accept that"

idk i dont think this is a situation unique to dakota, i think this happens to me with all my characters and i admit ive held back or made a scene easier to digest but other times im just like fuck it lamdjsdj i think finding a right balance has always been a goal since i started infamous in 2023 have i found it yet? probably not but im glad people recognize my intentions behind why the characters are the way they are
