Danse’s dialogue about getting off on the wrong foot when we first met is so funny because I fell for him pretty much instantly.

Big fan of how Farcille as a ship is undercut by Marcille's issues with aging/death and her own elven biases and Falin's issues with undercutting her own autonomy to mask and the challenges faced by trying to break away from that mindset. Especially how these two facets of these characters ultimately serve as a blockage for the development of a legitimate romantic relationship. It's an interesting development in a ship that by-and-by is pretty vanilla all things considered (dark magic aside). The fact that Ryoko Kui portays that level of complexity in this relationship not only highlights her mastery of character development and worldbuilding but also is a great example of how something "vanilla" can be made complex or interesting if done in a way that is interesting.

i havent read my own series in a good while now, but Twilight is naturally fairly wary approaching anyone in wolf form-- he is a whole wolf. Those aren't soft and gentle puppies! Plus, Twilight wasn't actually very wary when he first met Wild, he more kind of stumbled into him by chance... and when faced with a giant wolf, of which Wild was used to fighting?

Twilight startled Wild, and Wild attacked him. It's natural that Twilight was a little cautious from the get-go, but he was 2000% more wary afterwards. If they had been able to be introduced to each other properly, none of their conflict would have happened and theyd be fine with each other from the start. it was a bad accident that left minor trauma

i Will say it's kind of wild that people are so willing to accept marcille + laios's flaws and understand that they're complicated and nuanced characters while kabru and ESPECIALLY toshiro are torn down and hated for.... being complicated and nuanced. wonder why that is 🤔🤔🤔
