TWO & THREE - rj (reiner junior) & mj (marley junior). we let karina have influence over these kids' names hence the juniors but they go by their abbreviations. rj is a copy of me and mj is a copy of rei. they are The Normal Kids of the family and just inherently Good??

FOUR - kat. named after her aunt. causes a ruckus at every opportunity but is very loving about it. endlessly playful and loves SPACE. tries to pick on her older brothers and sister but fails every time especially when it comes to beej. thinks all her christmasses come at once when she's no longer the youngest

FIVE - valentine violence (viv). named after two more aunts. has the Braun Eyebrow thing going at all times so constantly looks pissed off but is irl very soft hearted and sweet. is the Horse Girl of the family

SIX - milou. little shitbag. perpetual Youngest Kid syndrome. very kind to anyone younger than him, all animals, and his grandparents. siblings and mom and dad? forget about it. he's well behaved but will pull several pranks a day without remorse

SEVEN - caspar. my little angel. always a baby. the only redhead of the family so sticks out like a sore thumb. defied a vasectomy.

something i’m just realizing about the “dick is damian’s parent” fics is that they often point out that after bruce came back, dick left for bludhaven immediately. but i just realized that’s not quite true.

bruce came back, and there were briefly two batmans (batmen?) at the same time. and then bruce left the country to go set up batman inc, for some weird reason, and dick stayed as batman to resolve some final issues. so yeah dick and damian kept being batman and robin for a good bit of time after bruce returned. do with that information what you will

Ngl I’m insanely proud of myself that this is 1) exactly 560 words and 2) I wrote this in ONE morning. I think less than an hour. With that being said, this literally was just a little fun thing for me, so it’s not perfect and I’m not upset about it.

Eddie first notices during a movie night.

The kids had been there, but it had gotten late and they’d all been picked up. Now it was just the older members, and everyone except Steve and Eddie were asleep or fighting it.

Eddie, for his part, likes the movie they are watching, even if he can’t remember the name of it. It was one Steve had suggested, so it makes sense he’d still be awake, too.

Out of the corner of his eye, he sees Steve’s hand move up to his mouth. He chances a glance over and realizes Steve’s biting at his nail.

He looks back to the movie, because he does find it very interesting, but he finds it hard to focus for the rest of the night.

The next time it happens is another movie night, this one with just Steve and Eddie. It’s one they’ve both seen, so Eddie feels more comfortable breaking the silence this time. “Why do you do that?”

Steve pulls his hand away from his mouth and hums in question as he drags his eyes from the screen in front of them. “What?”

Eddie nods to Steve’s hand. “Why do you do that?”

Steve follows Eddie’s gaze, flushes, and pushes his hand under his leg. “Sorry.”

Eddie tilts his head, leaning the side of it against the back of the couch. “I don’t want an apology. I don’t care if you do it. I just wanted to know why.” He thinks about it. “You don’t do it in front of the kids. I bet you try not to do it in front of us, even.” He shrugs. “Tell me to fuck off if it’s a sensitive subject or whatever. I really am just curious.”

Steve sighs. “No, it’s… I know I shouldn’t, I know it’s… it’s bad, and childish, and gross, and I should stop.”

Eddie hums. “Do you want to stop? Or were you told growing up that it’s all those things?”

“More the second one,” Steve admits. “But I know it’s true. I know it’s gross and looks bad-”

“Steve,” Eddie interrupts, leaning towards him, “I don’t give a shit what your parents said. As long as you’re not hurting yourself, I couldn’t care less what you do.”

Steve takes a breath, chews on his lip. “And… if I do hurt myself?” He asks. “It’s not on purpose,” he swears at Eddie’s expression. “Sometimes I just go too far.”

“Then I’d kiss it better,” Eddie returns with a salacious grin. Steve rolls his eyes and pushes Eddie away by a hand on his face.

He goes easily, relaxing back against the couch and watching Steve. “Maybe it’s not on purpose,” he says. “But does part of you like it?”

Steve furrows his brows. “What do you mean?”

“Do you want me to help you stop? Or is it okay when you go too far?”

Steve looks at his hands. Presses at a nail, one he’d gone too far on. “I don’t like it,” he admits. “I just don’t know how to stop.”

“Do you want help?”

Steve drops his hand, looks at Eddie. Nods. Strangely feels like tearing up. Whispers, “Yeah.”

“Okay,” Eddie whispers back.

With that, they go back to their movie. Eddie feels like something irreversible happened, and suppresses a grin. He also feels like it’s for the better.

K I've been thinking about this for like a week now. Ignoring any immortal headcanons if you have them. Knuckles knows he's not going to be able to guard the Master Emerald forever and that probably troubles him, but, if he was dying do you think he'd ask Sonic to guard it? He's the person with a unique connection to Chaos and the Chaos Emeralds and he's basically chosen one the most specialest guy, and one of the few people Knuckles could trust with that duty.

Of course I think Sonic would say no. I think he'd never be able to do that and he wouldn't want to.

i do love canon amy & rory but god, does some part of me wish they really had gone with the idea of the doctor picking up a child as a companion (and then later, that child’s best friend with a huge crush on her.) with the rest of the season really not changing at all, except now it’s amelia pond with an angel in her head killing her and lost alone in the woods. it’s little rory who dies and is forgotten and becomes a toy soldier. if this is going to be a fairy tale, then let it be one. children have never been safe in fairy tales.

I typed up an impassioned rant yesterday about some family bullshit that I'm in the middle of but by the time I was done I wasn't Yosemite Sam-levels of angry anymore, but just quietly frustrated and sad so I'll post the gist (bc I do still need attention and I think my mom is sick of talking to me)

my cousin's husband's mom had knee surgery on Thursday, but they also left for vacation on Thursday? I guess they thought she'd have inpatient rehab, but said cousin's husband would come home early if needed. well obviously she got discharged to home the next day and I started getting texts from my cousin about how much money flights back were. I told them all I couldn't be the "on-call" person for this but I guess they decided they could just disregard that and now cousin's husband is not coming home until next weekend and I am indeed the "on-call" person for this? which I know from my cousin's husband's mom asking me to do all this shit I said I couldn't do, as my cousin has stopped texting me and her husband NEVER ONCE texted me
