See the thing about religion is that, even if -from a purely scientific standpoint- the myths and legends they explain sound absolutely wild and maybe even ridiculous. They do have some truth in them.

The point of a religion is to explain natural phenomenons, Ancient Greece has their gods; the story between Hades and Persephone explaines the change in seasons. In the bible we have Adam and Eve which explain the origin of the human race. In Islams Qur'an, Allah creates the universe with a single command.

They all seek to explain the origin of things, the hows and whys. And they all do so in different ways. One thing they all have in common though, is the Afterlife. All religions believe in some interpretation of the Afterlife, be it reincarnation or some place where your soul goes to live eternally, there's always something. And that, is the part in every religion that has some truth, regardless of how it's explained.

We're all made from matter, and specifically Energy. The thing about energy is it cannot be destroyed, no matter what you do or the lengths you go to Energy will never be destroyed, it can only be transformed.

So after we die, the Energy we are made up of doesn't just disappear, it moves, it travels and becomes something else. So in a way the Afterlife is real.

Because the universe was created with a fixed amount of energy, and it will die with the same.

I feel like SQH's quality of writing would be right up WWX's alley - kinda trashy, kinda hilarious, very horny! he would very happily follow along with all new chapter updates! on the other hand WWX's willingness to do completely insane things with no sense of self-preservation would probably be stressing SQH out a bit xD

I find it funny that Wild, who has basically a couple years ish of full life experience, comes up with the most insane theories for everything

He assumed that the only other explanation to Four being able to split in Four was. That he was quadruplets who'd been hiding this whole time???

Also apparently he believed that his wolf companion Twilight in botw was a diety (and felt very uhh shocked upon finding out that he was not)

Malon made things worse, telling him about her aliens theory

What's even FUNNIER is that every time Wild expresses any sort of confusion at magic stuff that he's never seen before, everyone else in the chain acts like it's crazy for him to be weirded out by it

Honestly maybe Wild's the only one with his head on straight, rather than everyone else who are just like 'it's magic bro' like no he's right this is weird

I appreciate this because it's very considerate of the fact that he woke up with no memories not too long ago, so he doesn't have much experience to explain the stuff that's 'normal' for the chain. Plus the explanations he comes up with are funny.

levi begrudgingly doing that trend with you where he tastes different drinks behind a barrier and has to guess what they are.

only you try to make it difficult for him by making them all teas. one has water that was heated in a microwave, another has water that was in the kettle overnight and boiled a second time, another is a tea that's lower in quality, and maybe another that's over-steeped. he has to guess which one's which (which let's be honest, he probably does so effortlessly). but then at the end, you sneak in an iced coffee and he nearly spits it out in surprise.

barty characterization is so troublesome because he is at his most canonical (and most compelling) when treated with utter seriousness & placed squarely in context of an austere, repressed upper class childhood leading to patricide… he is not goofy! his prevailing theme in canon is the violent denial of his bodily autonomy - the living body horror and tragedy of his stint under imperius!

so the fanon version of barty as a sleazy trash-talking fuckboy with a tongue piercing is…. uncanonical. there’s literally zero basis for his fandom treatment as hogwarts’s resident dirtbag and in fact it makes no sense… but it’s such an entertaining direction to take him that i would argue fanon’s reshaping made him more interesting? or has given us more opportunities?

like the fan decision to shove hp canon’s most tortured martyr-machiavel into a thrasher hoodie is objectively hilarious and ripe for exploration. basically my point is that true barty enjoyers can juggle both interpretations at once, explore the inherent contradictions, and decide which better suits their purposes for different scenarios. also i would like to see canon!barty and fanon!barty making out
