It’s interesting how Ed seems to be that natural born leader, charismatic person without trying but he’s actually unsure of who he is.

He’s over his persona as Blackbeard, bored when we meet him. He’s not very emotionally stable at the beginning of the season and even worse by the end with the trauma of being left behind by Stede.

What strikes me is that he lets people influence him. First Lucius, in a helpful way with the song, and then Izzy, pushing him to revert to an even more hardcore version of Blackbeard, the Kraken. Ed is so vulnerable.

By the end of the season, Stede resolved his issues with his family and he’s confident in his choices, his identity. He’s coming for Ed and he’s ready for adventures on the sea.

But Ed is completely lost. He tried to be himself, got rid of Blackbeard and got dumped for it (we know it wasn’t what happened, but Ed doesn’t). He leans hard into the Kraken, because he thinks it’s his only option and that he has nothing else. Plus, the Kraken is the monster, and monsters hurt people but don’t get hurt.

The trailer seems to imply that Ed will also try to go back to the basics to quote the Swede. I think he needs to find himself again and surround himself with found family and a supportive partner (wink wink).

Can’t wait for October 5 to see what happens!

#lobotomy corporation #lobcorp #hod #hod lobcorp #lobotomy corp spoilers #I GUESS i almost forgot i drew her box form #lobcorp spoilers #and michelle actually. ..#both very tiny. itty bitty. microscopic #other sephirah there too as normal. i cant have her alone. and Angelina as well on the top patting her #i have a hard time fully capturing her for some reason. in my mind. maybe its because is the disconnected period!!! mentally #she genuinely wishes to care and be kind yet theres a dissonance with what she does..? or how it ends up being taken or what she does to en #up bringing those actions into reality. she can be forceful? wanting to have employees attend therapy sessions and meetings for suppression #tactics. which i think is also something the safety team is incharge of iirc. so that means shes doing way more that what she needs to on #her job as a sephirah. just for the sake of employees #she really does care as shes one of the only to Directly attempt to change their circumstances and quality of life and health #sure chesed doesnt punish employees when they dont do their work assigned or stress them out with work #but he doesnt actively push to attempt to make changes to aid employees besides the research perks which is to the manager #yesod IS right next to her and does also genuinely care but when it comes to employees hes distant at best when it comes to them and the #way he tries to protect them is by enforcing rules but he doesnt really create or attempt to help them like hod does #yesod is sort of a passive? way of doing it. yes he doesn make a push to enforce said rules but he doesnt make new ones. just follows what #is already there in place. hod tries to make new ways and not just for the safety of people like how yesod's has them physically fine and #not letting them over a certain threshold of mental corruption but she tries to have a program to Directly Address such a thing #its born out of care but the genuine worry of being a good person and her naivety ends up having it do more harm than good #sure there may be some employees that actually like and find it useful but so many are just accepting to their fate of Dying to where #her care seems pointless. shes a sephirah and to them a literal metal box why would they go ahead and feel bad for what an 'ai' is feeling #as she is interrupting their free time in the company #which is rude. and shit. iirc the counseling is compulsory but people go because shes a sephirah and their superior. the thought was there #but again it comes off wrong and ends up not working because shes their superior in the end #EEK!!! yeah... hod. the hod. there is WAY more but i can't fit it all here and i already typed enough

In the process of 1.5 hours, so much drama was revealed to me that I’m cancelling my next trip back to my hometown next year.

#Sigh……..#I cut off more than half of the people I knew here and it’s still this messed up??#I need to lie down #But I literally can’t until another full 23 hours from now #Why did I do this to myself #Liveblog count (Lia’s Holiday Trip Home Sunday Edition):#Friendships ended: 1 #Friendships repaired: 1 - these guys were salty at each other since June jfc #Flights cancelled: 2 #Hours of sleep: 5 #Update 2 ->#Therapy sessions given: 1 #Therapy sessions received: 1 #Update 3 ->#This one was actually pretty relaxing #Hours spent yapping: 9 #Update 4 ->#No energy to get into it. But I feel like I needed to go to a self help session or something after that #Update 5 (pure venting) ->#These people want to be involved in my life more so badly but they are only willing to do it on their terms and not mine #You don’t get to have that for free anymore!!#“There was no time to talk” BULLSHIT. I wish we could somehow detach the idea that the higher ups and stock holders and Toto are Mercedes - I know why its used as a hateable catch all, and I say it too, I get it, but at Tims like this even if they make the choices, they aren't what makes the team win, not really

Those factory workers, The mechanics, the people lining the streets for Lewis, the workers out in the rain and in tears- they are Mercedes. they people who work overnights to create cars from ideas, that's Mercedes. The guys who loved and worked for Lewis - that's Mercedes

in that sense, Mercedes does love Lewis, and he will always be their family, regardless of what big wig idiots say or do. The people actually working for change, Lewis included, they are what made that team who it is.

#im having complicated feelings about the merc move part 1000 #because when people say they hate Mercedes as in the higher ups #yeah me too I 100% agree #but when I see those videos of the team with the captions that Mercedes loves him #I identify so heavily with those #those people who had no say in what contract he got offered but still worked to make the teams fly #the people who felt like they got no say but still adore what he built because it'll never not be his team #mercedes will never be Ferrari or McLaren or red bull- to me #it will always be lewis' team #when people ask me if im a team supporter I get so stuck #because not without the right driver- not really #but at the same time- I felt happiest when lewis and val or lewis and George won #and all those people who loved him too got to be happy #it felt like a community I fitted into- where as I feel I don't really fit into driver communities #lewis or George for that matter #mmmh #weird rambling on the nature of being a fan #to be deleted later #sorry lads my free therapy sessions are up Tumblr is what ive got
