Medios: Young, Gay & Illegal - Then & Now (2017)

Una entrevista, dos vidas: esa es la genial premisa de este encuentro: Louis, un chico de trece años y Percy, un hombre de setenta y ocho, reflexionan sobre un tema en común: ser homosexual, ayer y hoy. El video fue publicado el 5 de julio de 2017, conmemorando el 50° aniversario de la despenalización de la homosexualidad en Reino Unido, por la cuenta TrentAndLuke, conformada por la pareja australiana Trent Owers y Luke Shayler. 

Mi intención original, además de publicar esta historia, era proveer una transcripción precisa del diálogo, traducida íntegramente al español basándome en el subtitulado inglés, el cual confiaba sería más fiel a la conversación. Sin embargo, he hallado que éste no ha logrado captar los conceptos vertidos en el video, por lo que, sumado a la gran dificultad de atender las frases desde la fonética, ha vuelto prácticamente imposible mi objetivo.

No obstante, el documento contiene subtitulados generados automáticamente en varios idiomas (incluyendo el español), por lo que puedes hacerte una idea de los conceptos vertidos. Más allá de cualquier factor inconveniente, sigue siendo un concepto bellísimo, un regalo para la posteridad, para no olvidar que, detrás de los derechos que hoy disfrutamos, hubo toda una riquísima historia en la que personas como Percy ofrendaron su tiempo e incluso sus vidas para que chicos como Louis pudiesen gozarlos.

Hey. Your brain needs to de-frag. Literally it needs you to sit there and space out.

If you want your memory or executive function to improve, stare out a window at the skyline or sidewalk or trees or birds on the electrical wires for like 20+ minutes per day. (With no other stimulation like a podcast or TV if you can manage but hey baby steps innit). If you're fortunate enough to have safe outside with any bits of nature, go stare closely at a 1 meter square of grass and trip out on the bugs and shapes of grasses and stuff.

Literally this will make you smarter. Our brains HAVE TO HAVE this zone out time to do important stuff behind the scenes. This does not happen during sleep, it's something else.

That weird pressurized feeling you get sometimes might be your brain on no defrag.
