Hello queer tumblr!!

A while ago I made this flag you see above you. I call it the Artemis Lesbian flag. It’s a flag and term created to represent aspec lesbians who love and protect other sapphics, aspec individuals, and women in general. 

I chose Artemis as the inspiration as She is the Greek Goddess who protects women (especially asexuals and sapphics). Greens and turquoise are chosen to represent Her here as they’re colors I associate with Her, and it’s also a color I associate with aromanticism. Silver and grey were also chosen to represent the moon and it’s feminine energy, as I see the moon as an empowerment symbol for femininity.

I created this term relatively a while ago. Back then I saw queer discourse in black and white, and I wasn’t able to stay true to my own flag’s meaning as I was bigoted towards mspec lesbians. Though as my views towards the queer community grew, I would like for this term to grow as well.

Today, I would like for the Artemis label to expand to include all queer labels. All you need to identify with the label is to be on the ace/aro spectrum, and be in solidarity with women, aspecs and sapphics. Femininity should be something to celebrate in a world where allocishet men are the biggest queer oppressors, and you shouldn’t have to be strictly a woman, feminine or wlw to appreciate that!!

Below the cut I have made more flags for more orientations to be included in this term. I also encourage anyone who wishes to create more flags like these. You may also edit/color shift them to your liking. Thank you very much for reading!!

Headmate packs - Get a name, pronouns, personality, look, etc for a headmate! This is helpful for creating new headmates or helping find identities for already existing headmates. Be sure to specify if there's anything you do or don't want (for example, if you don't want your headmate to use she/her or any related pronouns, tell us that!)

Had Shower Thoughts and. Terms. I need terms

Basically a whole system of terms that use this formula: "(mspec identity) that feels (gay/straight/queer etc) attraction"

And additionally specific ones, including

(mspec identity) (user's gender) that experiences attraction to (gender, or genders) as (x)

(mspec) that feels (x) attraction to (gender, or genders)

An example, using my identity. "A bi boy that feels gay attraction to men and nonbinary genders". Gay could be replaced with queer, I'd likely use both terms, hypothetically, as well as any hypothetical terms specifying the nonbinary genders I'm attracted to (like agender, xenogender, kenochoric, many many more) or specifying my gender more elaborately (like nonbinary boy, xenogender boy, dimensen boy, once again many more).

I would like these to follow the general -ian name theming that some orientations use, such as solian, lunian, opalian, veldian, sophian, y'know. Those sorts of names. Not opposed to other suffixes like -ic (e.g. diamoric, sapphic) if they sound better for a specific term. Obviously there would be many, many terms in this system considering the multiple mspec identities and genders that can be involved. Hopefully that makes sense, I'm tired and unmedicated rn and do not have the spoons to coin anything at this time.

I can't outright state that the community at large NEEDS these terms but. At the very least, I do.

for anon! this term is similar to lahuric and lahurian, so i wanted to give it a name with a similar etymology, but i couldn’t find what those terms were based on. i ended up basing it on the term ‘prism’ due to the flags for both of those terms making me think of prisms refracting light.

the first flag is based on this gay man flag and this lesbian flag, and the second is based on the aurora lesbian flag and the veldian flag! i’ve decided to individually refer to them as the sherbert prismian and polaris prismian flags, with ‘sherbert’ simply coming from the colors and ‘polaris’ referring to both the northern and southern lights (since the aurora lesbian flag is based off of the northern lights).
