OKAY SO I WAS RIGHT AND THIS IS A REAL ENDING
I HAVE THOUGHTS ABOUT THIS AND IDK IF THEY MAKE ANY SENSE OR MY BRAIN IS MAKING SHIT UP BUT I NEED TO SAY WORDS (even if its absolute bs lol)
all under read more because spoilers
I really REALLY like the ending where Medusa works at the underworld so much i think it fits her very well, mostly because I personally think Medusa and Persephone are pretty similar
Persephone and Medusa were both forcibly shoved into an abusive situation by an authority figure of some kind (Hades in Persephone’s case, Athena in Medusa’s) and due to this overall have gained negative reputations among their peers due to their responses and actions relating to it. (Persephone’s anger and yknow murder and Medusa’s elusive nature and role as spymaster)
However the difference is Persephone escaped her situation far earlier than Medusa, she knows how it feels to need to adjust and become independent after being stuck for so long.
I think Persephone would have some good advice for Medusa and Medusa getting a job that doesn’t involve killing and spying on people, but involves working with other people in a overall still pretty regulated environment would help her a lot.
they both have a long way to go before they heal from the past but its a great start
Only thing she needs to do tbh is just punch Athena, that would be the perfect ending.
okay possible stray gods epilogue spoilers but im going insane so
question under read more
OKAY SO I SWEAR I GOT AN ENDING WHERE MEDUSA COULD GET HELP FROM PERSEPHONE AND SHE HELPS PERSEPHONE AT THE CLUB
BUT I AM NOW SLIGHTLY CONVINCED I HALLUCINATED THAT OR SMTH BECAUSE I CAN NOT FIND ANYTHING ELSE BESIDES MY OWN EXPERIENCE THAT CONFIRMS IT EXISTS
IS THIS REAL OR DID I SOMEHOW CONVINCE MYSELF MY HEADCANON WAS REAL OR SMTH

When will men stop thinking my PERSONAL hobbies and interests MUST match their own personal interests?
Why do they want to shape me as if I were a clone of them? No, I'm not interested at all in this interest of yours even if you love it, I'm not you.
It's like the recommendation thing I wrote here some months ago. I'm tired of men "recommending" aka pushing their own interests to me. A good recommendation is based on THE PERSON YOU'RE RECOMMENDING SOMETHING, NOT YOU. If you, for example, "recommend" a sci-fi book to someone who 1. doesn't like sci-fi and 2. doesn't like reading, you're not recommending it with this person in mind. And if this person refuses it, so be it! Why do you suckle so much? Because they don't want to be a 1:1 clone of you?
I would never recommend a point and click to my boyfriend! Because he doesn't like point and click games!

Boutique Mod - DOWNLOAD
Inspired by the sims 2 shopping for clothes system, I present a sims 3 take on buying clothes, accessories and running a thriving boutique! Set up shifts, keep the racks stocked, and you might find yourself in profit!
Required:
Ambitions
NRAAS Master Controller + Integration Module
Optional:
ITF if you want to use the clothes mannequin and some visual effects.
Late Night if you want the animations for the security guard.
Seasons for extra interactions on the mannequin.
Savvy Seller Set for some visual and audio effects.
Full Documentation is included in the download. I spent a while writing it out, so please read thoroughly!
Tumblr media
How Stores Work:
Set up a shift
Hire Employees (bosses count as employees so stores are fully functional with only one sim!)
Link at least one rack to the register
Open for business!
Tumblr media
Employees:
Store employees can be given three types of roles: register attendant, sales attendant and security guard.
Employees will do their jobs automatically but you can always manually tell them to do things too like: restocking, dressing up mannequins, helping customers, among other things.
Tumblr media
Customers:
Inactive and active sims can browse through the racks and have the ability to purchase items. They'll interact differently depending on if they are shopping at a clothes rack, accessory rack, or at a mannequin.
Inactives won't purchase outfits from mannequins unless you direct them to (or you enable auto-purchasing in the XML). However, they may "fake" buy clothes.
Once finished shopping, customers hold their bags and wait to be rung up! Take too long and they may abandon their purchase.
Shopping:
Adjust prices and restrict customers by age and gender to customise your store!
Tumblr media
Clothes Racks:
Buy Clothes for your own sim, sims in your household, or (if you're an employee) suggest clothes for customers.
Employees that suggest clothes for customers can fulfil Ambition Stylist jobs this way.
Tumblr media
Accessories Racks:
Choose accessories to be sold by adding them to the XML in the package file. The XML comes loaded with a few base game items already plus a couple modded items (Arsil's Sunglasses and lipstick - that won't be loaded unless you have them installed).
Sell buy-mode items as well as CAS items!
Make your CAS items wearable from your sim's inventory using your own meshes or my dummy accessory (see Documentation and XML for details).
Blacklist certain categories from being shown. If you want a dedicated shoe shop or an opticians, you can have it!
Try on products before buying them to see if they suit your sim. If there's a mirror in the room, they'll check themselves out in it.
Tumblr media
Clothing Mannequin:
Try on the mannequin outfits to see if they suit your sim.
Plan different outfits to display and even set them to be rotated through seasonally.
Let your employees be creative and choose a random outfit for the mannequin to wear.
Buy clothes for your own sim, household members, or customers.
Allow or disallow inactives from automatically purchasing display outfits.
Tumblr media
Security Gates:
Give your security guards something to stand and look threatening by.
You can try your luck at stealing from the shop. If you're caught, you'll have to pay up. If you get past the gates (or if there are no gates), enjoy your bounty!
Boutique Door:
Cloned from the Savvy Seller doors without the annoying 'kick-every-last-person-out-the-building-come-closing-time' feature.
Link this to a register and let the open and close sign automatically flip itself. Also, close the store or rename it, straight from the door.
Phone Interactions:
Ask for time off work (paid or unpaid).
Call in sick.
Cancel vacation days.
Tumblr media
Credits and Thanks:
@dhalsims for adding geostates to the ITF rack for me. Modders, I really recommend her if you need any 3D models made also!
DouglasVeiga for the BG rack with the geostates.
@aroundthesims for allowing me to use her objects in my mod as always!
Sims 4 for all the animations that I converted.
Simstate & merchant mods for the idea to go into a mode to link racks to the register.
The OG shop for clothes mod and pedestal by @anitmb.
Arsil and @zoeoe-sims for wearable CAS items idea that I adapted.
Ani's Candle mod & Amb. Makeover XML which I looked at for inspo on how to do accessory rack xml.
Compatibility:
All new objects so shouldn't conflict with anything really.
Removes the 'plan outfit' interaction from dressers.
Made on version 1.67.
Tumblr media
If you would like to donate as thanks, please feel free to do so at: my kofi! I don't take your generosity for granted!
Download: - Simblr.cc - 2t3 Boutique Mod Suggested Extra CC: - Lyralei's TS2 Conversions (incl. clothes changing booth) - More ATS3 Security Gates - ATS3 Friperie Set
Known issues, prop information and the full feature breakdown are all in the documentation.
Please be patient with me if there are bugs to fix. Also, anyone who DMs me "I don't know how to create a new shift" will be immediately fined £150.
With that said, please enjoy the mod and tag me in your beautiful boutiques,
Phoebe :)

So you've played Space Marine 2 and want to get in on the Warhammer 40k lore but Holy Shit Where Do You Begin?
My introduction to warhammer was through the now forever hiatus'd YouTube parody, "If The Emperor Had A Text To Speech Device". While not entirely comprehensive or unbiased, it presented enough of the lore to me in managable bite sized pieces that I could then move on to the next step: reading the books.
I've seen posts about people being afraid to be considered a "tourist" bc they don't even read the books and I got two things to say to this. 1) who gives a shit what others in this fandom thinks? And 2) while it's not required, I think some of you would get joy out of actually reading the books. Also I find it kinda strange when people won't engage with the media but then complain they don't know what's going on. Engage with the media!
"But Holy Bride! Where do I even begin?! There are over 50 books in the Horus Heresy alone!" Do not fear my little trembling trebbles. My first advice is 1) don't get caught up in reading order. There are too many legions and too many characters. My first warhammer reading experience was Know No Fear. Then after reading the unremembered empire/ deathfire novels I moved on to A Thousand Sons. Now? I'm reading The First Heretic. It is okay to jump around in a story that you already know how it ends.
Secondly, there are audio dramas and audio books that make reading and consuming the media a tad easier and they're very well produced! Buying them direct can get expensive so try to find other sources but I mean, if you have the money I say go for it!
I really enjoy this franchise, even if it can be doofy or annoying to me sometimes and I'm glad that more people are getting into it. But like, you do sorta need to take the steps to get into it! Warhammer is not an accessible beast by nature, which is why even 4 or so years after GamesWorkshop releases a zero tolerance policy on fan animations, I am Still pushing and recc'ing if the emperor had a tts.
Get acquainted with the lore, then pick a favorite boy or legion, and just pick up a book! They're usually pretty short and are a leisurely reading level.
Or don't! The choice is yours but remember that you only get so much information from wiki's and lore dumps and it really is better to engage with media through your own perspective rather than the perspectives of others 🌹

Beneath the surface
Chat Noir x reader
Chapter one — Acrophobia
Moving to Paris is a fresh, fresh beginning for you. Maybe it was a too big of a leap, but you’re excited, and you’re young, so why not? Though you can’t ignore the tender ache in your stomach. Gotta love anxiety.
It’s only when you step through the inside doors that you realise you have left your damn water bottle behind at your apartment. But then the bell rings, and immediately there’s a hundred footsteps, talking and yelling and someone actually barges into you. You can’t tell who it was anyway because they get lost in the sea of moving people. Scrambling for your campus map, you try and find your class. B5?
Finally finding the room, you open the door with an exasperated energy. But upon seeing the space, you realise that the class is not cinematography. At all.
A naked muscular man sits in the front of the room, posing on a stool as the student artists paint a portrait. Your eyes spring open and you can feel people start to look at you. You go to leave, stepping backwards. “Shit— sorry! I’m in the wrong class—“
You bump into a table filled with clay figures, fumbling a bunch of apologies as you knock one over and it smashes on the ground. What’s even worse is that people begin laughing as your skin flushes warm. You fall to the ground and scramble at the broken pieces.
”Hey—“
At the sudden close proximity of a voice, your head snaps up. A clean hit to the owner of the voice’s nose. A groan comes from above you as you whip your attention to the person.
His hand clutches at his face as you blabber, “I am so so sorry, oh my god…”
”It’s okay, it’s okay,” he pinches his nose, eyes squinted. “You dropped this,” he extends your book towards you with his free hand.
You tuck your hair out of your face and when you get a proper look at him, you swallow dryly. It’s when his green eyes finally meet yours, and you take your book with quick fingers.
He offers you a little smile, but it falters when he looks to the smashed pot on the ground.
You tuck your book tightly into your chest. “Was that yours?” You ask softly, face contorted in shame.
“Yes,” he slowly says, lolling those green eyes back to yours, and you catch the smallest twitch of them widening. “It’s… fine, though.”
Oddly enough, there’s a second of silence before the professor echoes a loud ‘ahem’. You scramble out of the class, offering another clumsy sorry as you leave, unknowingly having the same pair of green eyes following you as you do.
Once you’re finally in cinematography, a nice girl with tan skin and dark red hair chats to you as she polishes her glasses. She says her name’s Alya and it’s hard because you’re trying to listen to the teacher, especially because he was a bit annoyed at your lateness but she’s blabbering in your ear. You don’t have the heart to try and tell her to stop especially because you’re new and well, alone. You need to make friends.
”I was supposed to be taking audio and film instead of this class, but apparently, this branches more opportunity,” she uses quote fingers, rolling her eyes. “Anyway, I can thank my boyfriend for that—“
She gets hushed by the teacher, but after five seconds she slowly turns her head back to you, as if expecting you to start talking.
“I’m taking a performing arts bachelor,” you whisper. “I’d like to be an actress… or something like that.”
“Oooh nice,” Alya wiggles her words, once again getting hushed by the teacher.
After two full, long classes, you head out into the main courtyard like most of the students at the university. Some are on phones, some are in animated conversation. You see an oak tree at the far end of the courtyard, with a wide trunk and plenty of shade. You can’t see anyone nearby, so you make your way over, and you plan to sit on the grass against the tree when you feel someone clutch your shoulder.
”Girl, where do you think you’re going?” Ayla’s voice seeps into your ears, her glossed lips stretched in a smile. You open your mouth to reply but she beats you to it, pulling your shoulder to walk with her. “Come meet my best frieeend, oh my god, you’ll love Marinette, she’s amazing.”
You follow her with a nod, a pleasant wave of relief actually washing through you. She pulls you to a table under a tree’s shade. Marinette has black hair with a tinge of blue hue that just curls around the mid of her neck, kind blue eyes and you can just tell she’s a warm soul. She waves, offering a hello.
She tells you she’s studying in fashion design, and as you tell her your bachelor, she coos. “Performing arts? Are you looking to book any roles in Paris? We have some opportunities here, theatre wise— oh, and advertisements, films…”
“I would love that, I just… need to see if I’m actress material, I guess. I know how difficult it is to get into the acting industry, and I’m taking some extra classes with a studio every week, so…”
”Hey, I know a guy that can hook you up with some opportunities,” Alya grins, nudging Marinette with a smug look. “Adrien Agreste,” she lets the name roll of her tongue, smooth and knowing.
Marinette rolls her eyes at Alya, but she turns to you with a hopeful smile. “Actually, that is true. He’s done plenty of things like that.”
As they say this, you wonder who this said guy is. It’s obvious that they know him well, which is good in your case. You pick up a french fry and dip it in ketchup.
“Who’s that?” You munch on the fry, voice muffled a little by it.
”Uhh… oh, he’s over there,” Alya points behind you. You turn and see where she’s pointing, to a group of people standing around. “The one in the navy pullover.”
The one in the navy pullover. You look for the clothing, and once found, you rake your eyes up to the face to match. You almost choke on your french fry, a strangled sound coming from your throat as Alya pats your back immediately. That’s insane because that’s the guy that you socked in the nose. Not to mention, you broke his clay piece.
Shit. Yeah, that’s him. What a small world. You turn around slowly back to the girls, shrinking in on yourself.
“What?” Both girls say in tune, confused at your expression.
“This morning I mixed up my classes and I bumped into him and I smashed his clay piece,” you clutch at your forehead, embarrassed. They both ease into a laugh. Your mind reels at just the thought of the humiliating situation. They attempt to reassure you, and you smile at their pure friendliness, but it drowns out a little as you take another peak at him.
To your utter shock, you catch his gaze. He seems surprised too because his expression sets into a stunned one. He quickly adverts his eyes, regaining his attention on a friend. You screw your lips up, a tinge of confusion bubbling in your chest.
Your first day wasn’t unbearable, but it wasn’t a piece of cake either. The first bite into your freshly baked croissant has you drooling. The buttery, flaky layers of the pastry melt in your mouth, releasing a rich, buttery flavor that dances on your tongue. It’s a nice breeze through Paris, seeping against your cheeks and you’re thankful for the spare time you have.
Suddenly the ground shakes, and the salts and peppers on your cafe table fall to the ground with an eery smash. An earthquake? You never knew they were prone in Paris. But then you hear a maniacal laugh echo throughout the street. The rustle of chairs moving and shoes squeaking fills your ears, and looking around you see that people are running into hiding.
What is going on?
A fast blur of red and black whips past, a powerful feminine voice yelling something out. You’re frozen in your chair, croissant now splattered along the pavement. You tilt to look at your treat now gone, a wave of grief rocking you.
Another suited figure runs by you. He wears a black suit, golden blond hair and shifting cat ears. He tosses a shout, “You should be inside! It’s too danger—rooooouuussss…” his head turns as he looks at you, sharp, emerald eyes giving you a one-down as his run slows to a stop, “hello.”
You look around quickly, seeing if he’s talking to anyone else but there’s no one else. Anywhere. “Hi,” you say, a tone of a question as you feel a shudder slip down your back at the way his eyes gobble you up. There’s a sinister swing of his hips as he walks toward you, a challenging stare that you can’t replicate.
“Ma chérie, you can’t be out here,” he tsks. With him this close, you can really look at him. His soft blond hair running wild at his neck, defined muscles cut against leather, the little dimple in his cheek from his wicked grin. What a being. “There’s a possibility you can get caught in the crossfire, and I would hate to see this pretty face get hurt.”
You nod gently, spacing out a little.
A truck gets thrown across the street in the background. His flirty demeanour flattens as he blinks, his whacky grin slipping. “Are you in shock?”
You shrug. You hear him mumble something under his breath, maybe along the lines of ‘shit’ and ‘poor thing’ but you can’t really tell from the loud crashing and banging noises going on around you. He taps his foot a little, cat ears flicking like he’s thinking.
“Chat Noir!” The same female voice from before snaps, and you watch the way his ears flatten, an exasperated groan escaping his lips.
”I’ll come back for you, ma chérie, just—“
Another loud shout, and he suddenly clutches you by the arm.
“Be a good girl and go into the cafe, come on,” his voice is tender and guiding, leading you through the cafe doors and practically carrying you there. “There we are, that’s it, puurfect.”
The way he mutters that last word against your ear makes you shiver, and all you can do is nod to him and his words. He sits you down on one of the couches, giving your arm one last graze before zooming out into the Parisian streets. You aren’t in shock. Are you? You’re just confused. As fuck.
You don’t know how long it’s been until there’s a flash of pinkish white that blinds you and you cover your face with an arm. Blinking away the shine, there’s an evident clearing of the sky, and herds of civilians creep out from their hidings. You decide to stay in the cafe for a while, grabbing for your phone as something comes up on your web, Ladyblog News.
Superheroes. Ladybug and Chat Noir. How have you never ever heard of this? You feel stupid, ridiculously stupid. Making your way out of the cafe and heading to your apartment, you duck into an alleyway shortcut.
”Why such a rush? I said I’d come back for you.”
The sudden noise makes you swish around, coming into contact with a leathered arm. Thick, leathered arm. The feline heroine has that arm leaned against the alleyway’s brick wall, looking you down like a predator. This guy is big on dramatic effect.
“I’ve just moved to Paris, and this… this is all very new to me,” you explain, wondering why it was difficult to keep eye contact.
“Oh, chèrie, I know…” he draws out, letting his eyes roll down your figure. “I might need to go home with you.”
His words send your mind in a frenzy, it makes your throat grow tingly. “Why?”
”For safety measures, of course. Why else?” He tilts his head at you as if it were obvious, the bell on his suit dinging lightly. That implication was prominent and you knew it, he was sly. “Your legs feel okay?”
”They feel fine,” you mutter, biting the inside of your cheek. You have to admit, they’re a bit jittery from before. You duck out from the alleyway and he follows.
“Mmm, I’m not sure I believe that,” he reaches behind himself to grab something, and when it comes into view it looks like a metal bar. He slides an arm around your waist. “You afraid of heights?”
You raise an eyebrow at his question, confusion once again filling you as he grabs your arm to wrap it around his neck. “…No.”
There’s a glint of a grin on his devilish lips. “And which one’s your building?”
You point in the direction to the blue apartment building in the distance. “That one,” you respond.
Without warning, you’re lifted up into the air. You screech, arms flying out and attaching to him magnetically. You can hear a low chuckle from him as your heart pounds against your ribcage. You don’t dare to peek out from his chest, eyes sealed shut as wind snips through the gaps of your hair.
“Which one?” Chat Noir asks, giving you a little nudge.
”Seventh floor, farthest left,” you rush, gripping him as if your life depended on it. There’s a thud and a commotion, and when he gently sets you down, it takes you a second to detach from him.
You immediately go to land a solid punch into his shoulder, a hiss like noise screeching out of him.
“Heeeey…” he pouts, to which you jab a finger at his chest.
“You should’ve warned me!” You scold harshly.
“Where’s the fun in that?” His tongue runs along his smirking bottom lip, a glimpse of his white canines catching your eye. You only groan frustratedly, folding your arms. “Your balcony has a beautiful view,” Chat Noir praises.
You sigh. “I know, you can see the Eiffel from here and I didn’t even pay extra—“
”I wasn’t talking about the landscape,” he mutters. You turn to see his sneaky green eyes locked on you, seemingly proud at his flirtatious quip. Your arms tense in your hold, unable to play it cool as you let a smile creep onto your face. You hear a quiet beeping sound and you catch the way his eyebrows stitch down as he looks at his ring finger.
“What’s wrong?” You utter, unfolding your arms.
“I have to leave,” Chat Noir grunts, annoyance twinged in his voice. He takes your hand in his, giving it a swift kiss in apology. “Selfishly, I beg of you to go into shock more.”
You actually giggle at his silly statement, going to take your hand back but his grip doesn’t falter. His slimmed, feline pupils dilate with your sound.
“What’s your name?” He asks gently, smoothing his gloved thumb over your knuckle. You say it without a thought, quiet enough that it could be mistaken for another gust of Paris’s wind. He leans back towards the bars of your balcony with a smirk, and with one last look that he steals, he jumps off your balcony.

seventeen as games they would play on roblox
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
FEATURING. seventeen (ot13) GENRE. headcanons, crack WORD COUNT. 552
notes: this is purely just for shits and giggles. ty @haecien for sparking the idea on discord and @yeonjuns-redhair for helping me LMAO. i was such a roblox nerd back then pls don't question me thank u. this game traumatized me fr.
Tumblr media
scoups - mm2/arsenal/phantom forces: bro would be such a try hard whenever he becomes murderer or sheriff in mm2. he would also own like all the damn legendary knives, guns, knife effects, prob has hella robux and connections to get all those, might also play obnoxious audios on his radio to assert dominance. arsenal and phantom forces is self-explainable since he's pretty good at fps games
jeonghan - brookhaven/free admin games: is definitely trolling and scaring people on brookhaven or any roleplay game lmfao. would pretend to be their child just for him to turn his avatar into the most terrifying monster ever and make people rage quit. he'd easily take over those games that grant free admin, literally everyone would be under his fingers
joshua - royale high: shua was hard since he doesn't rlly play video games? he would def not be into these competitive games. i can see him having fun dressing up his avatar in royale high for some reason. would prob lowkey be an annoying troll, or those rich ass mfs constantly showing off
jun - adopt me: self-explanatory. the top of his bucket list is to adopt all pets possible in the game. might even find ways to scam people out of their stuff (my cousin does this, don't be like her).
hoshi - jailbreak: he likes chaotic games. he brings chaos to the server. tries to also bribe woozi into playing with him so they can both be the Richest Lads in the server. either that or he absolutely sucks at playing the game and keeps getting arrested by the police.
wonwoo - tower of hell/dungeon quest/arsenal/doors: can't really decide on one. he's pretty versatile with his games but i think he mainly prefers battle strategy games and fighting games. would definitely complete a tower of hell obby in less than a minute fr. is probably on the leaderboard of dungeon quest and has all the legendary spells, armour, and weapons. he's also completely fine with anything horror
woozi - those anime sims n fighting games/death ball/robeats: personally i have never played any of those anime fighting games ever but he would def be the one to enjoy them the most. will def beat your ass in death ball with his gigantic double wielded swords. he'd also continuously get hella high scores on robeats
dk - work at a pizza place: no explanation needed. he is living his life as a cook and delivery person
mingyu - theme park tycoon/natural disaster survival: i found mingyu to be hard as well LMAO. i feel like he could make a bomb ass theme park in theme park tycoon tho. either that or he's getting freaked out over the blocky tsunami coming his way
minghao - bloxburg/royale high/those fashion games: ahh he's living his life designing his perfect dream home and definitely has all the gamepasses. has the best fashion in royale high. would definitely spend his robux to get VIP so he can get access to the Better clothes in those fashion games (fun fact: i'm banned on bloxburg cuz i'm just too damn good 😔)
seungkwan - pls donate/works in a group: has the prettiest booth in pls donate so he can get robux but is constantly arguing with the nine year olds who are begging for him to donate to them. might also be an MR/HR/SR at a group (don't work at roblox groups guys, i beg of you)
vernon - bee swam simulator: no thoughts, just vernon playing bee swarm simulator being the best thing ever
dino - speed run: constantly frustrated over each time he falls off the map. he never makes it to the end

So what's your opinions about a very poorly TFP fan- film called Galvatron's Revenge? This was created after 10 years in making and it has some very controversial stuff last year. People are not liking it after it had finally released last friday
Setting aside the controversy of the whole affair for the sake of fair analysis, the production was a hot mess. Now, I will state this before I get into things. I have exactly nothing against the people who worked on the project (again, not talking about the controversy. I don't know these folks personally so I've got no beef). And honestly good on them for thugging it out and finishing the thing if only because I find that level of dedication noteworthy.
That said, I have exactly zero good things to say about the film. Normally I wouldn't get on the case of fans animating things on their own time and a limited budget. But this film had $8000 and TEN YEARS to work with. With that kind of time and effort, the guy who made the LEGENDARY Astartes short film all by himself could have made an entire series. With that budget the folks who made those banger stop motions with the TF models could make an entire Amazon funded TV series. I get that the folks working on it have lives and all that, but I've seen dedicated folks on twitter make better stuff in like, two weeks. The time and money were absolutely wasted on the film. I mean ten whole years and there was not even an increase in quality as the film progressed? I would be willing to have mercy if the film got better the longer you watched, evidencing the growth of the team working on it.
But it didn't. There were so many animation errors I wanted to die inside. None of the fights felt interesting and had no impact, especially with the pathetic hits. Every single character was brutalized and butchered (what the heck happened to Arcee and Ratchet???). Honesty I've seen better writing on Wattpad of all places. The plot was a crazy mess of unfinished concepts and half planned character arcs. Optimus was brought back for reasons??? There were some sort of weird racist undertones with the blue optic red optic nonsense. Too much exposition dumping in the middle of important scenes. The audio was horrific at best and soul crushing at worst. I think the only voice I liked was Ultra Magnus and maybe Galvatron. But still, it was stupidly hard to care when the writing made me want to beat my head against a wall.
I'm not claiming to be a pro, and I don't expect other fans to be masters of their craft. But come on guys. If the animation sucks, make the story good. Maybe the story made sense on paper at one point, but emotions of words do not transfer over well unless the animation and setting make sense and look decent. The whole thing was a nightmare and I would prefer to be forced to watch Beast Wars on repeat, if only so the frickin animation would be ever so slightly less painful to watch. The film desperately needed a script overall and at least two competent editors along with one half decent animator. Ten years and 8k is far too long and too much to come out with the dumpster fire we got.

00:00 Hey, Livestock. What are you doing? That’s an awfully big box you’re holding.
[You’re glad to see him.]
You were looking for me? Why?
[You explain the situation.]
So Kou told you to give this box to me. I don’t remember sending him on an errand, though.
[You pass on Kou’s message to Ruki.]
“Just open it and have fun”? That sounds a lot like him, but he must be up to no good…  We should ask him what’s in the box first…
[You say you couldn’t find Kou anywhere.]
Ah, right, he said he had a film shoot today…  Oh, well. If the sender’s not here, we have no choice but to open it. Give me the box, Livestock. I was going to open it in my room, but if you’re curious what’s inside too, then come with me.
[You nod.]
Let’s go, then.
[The two of you go to his room.]
01:20 Sit over there.
[Ruki puts the box in front of you.]
Well, then. Let’s open it right away. For such a big box, it’s not very heavy. What could be inside? Wooden pieces of various sizes… and a lot of them, at that.  They look like they’re parts of something.
[You spot a letter inside the box.]
A letter? Kou must have put it in there. Let’s see.  “Here’s one of your beloved puzzles as a present. Have fun! Try assembling it together with her.” I see. So it’s a puzzle.
[You’re confused.]
Yeah, it looks different than a normal, flat puzzle.  Judging from the parts, the finished product must be three-dimensional. There’s no manual, either, but I wonder if it’s because Kou removed it, or there was no manual to begin with… Anyway, this may be just another of Kou’s whims, but we have the time.  Maybe I should assemble it.
[You say that you want to help.]
It does not look like I would need your help with it, but Kou said to do it together, so… If you’d like, you are welcome to try.
[The two of you start assembling the puzzle.]
03:03 Hm. My side looks like it’s coming together. How about yours?
[You tell him.]
Let me see it.
[You show him what you’ve got.]
That looks better than I expected.  If you’re worried about this part, I think it might fit here…
[Ruki helps you.]
You should try doing the rest yourself.
[You ask him whether he’s done this before.]
Not exactly. I have done a variety of 3D puzzles before, but this is the first time I’ve tried this type of puzzle. Not that I’m very particular about my puzzles, though…
[You ask him if he has a particular strategy.]
I have my strategies for each kind, but in the end, the process of putting parts together and aiming for the final product is the same for every puzzle.
[You say you have no idea what the puzzle is meant to look like.]
Right. I cannot picture what the final product is going to look like just yet, but if we just look at the parts even though we have no idea what to expect…
[You tell him that you should both try your best.]
04:20 Yeah.
[To himself] It would be a shame to spoil her fun by telling her the answer to the puzzle, but…
[You ask him if he said something.]
No, nothing. Besides, we won’t finish the puzzle at this pace. Less talking, more working.
[You agree enthusiastically.]
Heh. You’re curious about the final product, right?
The harder you work, the sooner you’ll find out what it is.
[You tell him you’ll work harder.]
Yes, you should. I will try to increase my pace, too.
05:06 Ah, it’s finished. When I opened the box and saw the parts, I already had a hunch, but… It looks like a small castle you might find overseas. I think we happened to see it on TV around the time when Kou was featured on a programme.  He must have remembered that you and I talked about wanting to go and see it in person. That must also be why he told us in the letter that we should assemble it together. Whatever his reason was… heh. He probably wanted to make us happy.
[Ruki incorporates your part into the puzzle.]
Look, your work is now part of the castle, too. You did really well considering you had no idea what it was.
[You don’t respond.]
You were so excited to see the final product, but your response is a bit underwhelming, don’t you think?
[Ruki looks down at you, leaning against his shoulder and sleeping soundly.]
06:05 Heh, I see.  You have some nerve using someone’s shoulder as a pillow while you sleep, Livestock. Oh, well. It’s past your usual bedtime, so it’s fine. I must have been engrossed in the puzzle as well for me not to notice you nodding off.
[Ruki picks you up, bridal style.]
However, if you sleep here, you’ll regret it later. You should just sleep on the bed.
[He carries you to his bed.]
You should have just told me you were tired… You worked hard and stayed up just to finish the puzzle with me. You didn’t make it to the end, though…
07:05
[Ruki looks at his watch.]
It’s about time. I should tidy up and head to bed, too.
[Ruki walks back to the table.]
I should hide the puzzle under the table for now.  I want her to see it tomorrow. I wonder how she’ll react.
[Ruki walks back to the bed.]
Hey, Livestock. Move over a bit. I want to get under the covers too. She’s so far gone she doesn’t even hear me…
[Ruki gets in bed anyway and squeezes himself beside you.]
What a foolish face. You must be tired from using your head so much.
[Ruki touches you.]
I wonder what kind of face you’ll make when you wake up tomorrow. Will you feel guilty for falling asleep before seeing the finished puzzle?  Or will you become shy when you wake up next to me? Anything is fine.  Your reactions are always something to look forward to. Ah, but when you see the finished puzzle, you’ll probably be ecstatic. You were looking forward to seeing it so much, after all. I want to see your happy face. I was having such a good time, uncharacteristically so. I might not be able to fall asleep like this. I’ll have to thank Kou later.
08:45 For tomorrow’s dinner, I’ll make him something he likes.
[You shift in your sleep.]
What, the mention of dinner does evoke a reaction from you? What a greedy little thing. Don’t worry. I’ll cook one of your favourites, too. You worked hard on the puzzle, after all.
[Ruki settles in for sleep.]
I’m looking forward to seeing your reaction tomorrow.

HUMAN THINGS THAT WOULD SHOCK/CONFUSE WALLY DARLING: A THREAD.
Slight gore warning, I think?
People waxing and plucking their hair.
Nail art. He would love it.
Tumblr. If you gave him tumblr he would end up scrolling all day to see art, and spam post his own. I'm sure he would also feel obliged to comment under every post to compliment the art, he's such a nice little fella
Organs. He would find them silly and interesting. You would show him pictures of organs and he would ask things like:"do you have different colored organs? Can I see yours?"
The fact that we have to go to the bathroom? Imagine being like: "Yeah whenever we consume things we need to make it go out of our bodies aswell." He would be like: "... Neat." He would then play by flushing the toilet numerous times, he would find it fun. He probably would end up clogging it up because he tries to see how many things it can flush.
Human teeth.
Iphones. He would like it since the logo is an apple. He wouldn't play with the phone he would just add it to his collection of apple things.
Videogames? He thinks that the character in the screen is real and he's controlling them. You explain how they don't exist. "How can you be sure about that?" he asks, "cause we make them, they're just codes." "But how can you be sure they just dont know they're alive since they can't tell you?" he asks again: you start rethinking the many times you tortured characters in The Sims.
Pokemon. He would think the creatures are real too. He would lose his shit to Applin. He would ask: "Can I have him?" and you'll buy him the plushie and say they don't live here cause you don't have the heart to tell him it doesn't exist.
Certain animals?? He would be confused on why don't they speak. He sees them as people, he would be like "Why did you lick me? That's weird," to a dog... and then lick him back cause he thinks its a human world thing. You say:"thats just how he communicates affection, " and he would start licking people too to show his affection in this language.
Emojis. If he started messaging he would spam emojis. Probably thinks audio messages are like calls, and you're left with a spam of audio messages that are like: "Hello? Hellooo? Why aren't you saying anything?"
Digital art. He would look in awe. "I have unlimited colors? That's fun."
Sensory videos. He would be like an ipad kid. His face is on the screen watching the videos all day. ShApeS anD CoLoRs.
Sensory toys. He would love them aswell.
Deodorant. "We spray this on our armpits," you say. "Why?" he asks. "Because we sweat and produce smelly liquids," you reply. "... Ew."
Showers. He would be like a cat, he would hate showers at first. He doesn't understand why you would want to be wet. You would then randomly find him standing in the shower with an intense fixiated look on his face as the warm/hot water pours down on him. He likes the feeling.
Speaking about warmness, he would absolutely love how warm humans are. He would just randomly hug you cause he likes how warm and comforting it feels. Probably would like sleeping with you aswell and cuddle.
Human movies and tv shows. He would think those are things happening for real. You explain that it's like theatre. "... Wow, your theatre is very realistic," he says.
Wars. He would be so confused. "Why would you hurt your neighbours? That's bad, just discuss things pacifically." Probably would make him sad. He wants everyone to be friends and an happy community.
Meat. I'm pretty sure in Welcome Home they only eat fruits and vegetables? Idk. He would ask:"Since humans are also animals, do you eat eachoth-" "No. That's illegal," you reply. "... What's an illegal?" he asks. "It's a rule: humans are prohibited from eating each other," you respond. "... Since I'm not a human can I eat one-" "NO."
People making out. He would stare at them. He finds it gross but interesting, he doesn't view it as a intimate sexual thing just a weird thing human do.
Certain social rules. Why can't you just say hi to someone and speak to them as if they're your friend? Why is it rude to stare?
An apple factory. Like the fruit. So... many... apples. He would be sad some apples get thrown away and tries to 'save' them.
Blood. You would try to explain it, he understands it as just red water circuling inside your body. He would play with blood or finger paint with it and won't understand why that is an horrifying image.
Spotify. Unlimited music?? You can save your favourites to listen to them whenever you want? Wow.
Pollution. He would go crazy and blow up. WHY WOULD YOU HARM AND LITTER YOUR HOME?? AAAARGH!!
Homeless people. You're telling me there are people who don't have a home? Everyone needs a home! Why don't they give them a home?!
Preschool. A place where you spend your entire day fingerpainting, reading books, making stuff and dancing? All of the things he loves the most. He would infiltrate into one, the teacher would probably call the police, he would get asked questions. He just wanted to have fun too....
Discovering that in grammar saying "the most" without anything else is just incorrect and doesn't make sense. He doesn't like being corrected about it. It's his thing. Don't correct him.
Cuss words. He would be shocked at how many cuss words he hears daily: watch your profanity.
Space?? People being on planets?? His mind would blow up.
Birth. You... make humans?? You create yourself? What do you mean they grow inside of you? How? Does it just randomly happen? You would rather die than teach him about sex. You say that you were kidding and a stork brings the babies for those who want one, it's their job. "Ohhh, that makes more sense," he says. Then he sees a cat or dog giving birth and just implodes.
Therapists. He would like them cause they would be the closest thing to his neighbours. He doesn't understand, however, why they demand to get paid for being friendly.
History. You're telling me there was a time when your kind didn't exist? And you know that because of just... history? How? What??
Earrings. To him it just looks like you're stabbing yourself.

Hello!! I saw your tangent, about Hoshina being an audio sender, kind of guy. And I have to say I one hundred percent agree with that sentiment. Vice Captain is someone I can definitely imagine being a talker in bed.
Cause when you REALLY think about it. He seems like the type who can easily get away just by yapping. And often times he's developed the social skills to redirect the conversation to something else. Especially during the days when he'd be compared to his brother and all that.
It could be a simple jab or a comment about his incapability to use firearms. And I see him as a person who can easily facade a laugh and redirect the conversation so that it loses focus, away from him. And because he's an expert yapper, I'd like to think that skill transfers in bed too.
Hoshina is a distinctly intelligent and observant character. As such, he's someone who probably knows what his partner likes. Particularly the type of dirty talk they'd prefer.
And since he's so used to having to issue commands and the like. Particularly in the way he orders Number 10 and lower ranked cadets. I'd like to think his transition to rougher talks in bed is made easy. And he comes to find out that he actually likes to be loud. He's a talker.
While I do think he isn't exempt from silly or giggly type of sex. Where he'd enjoy softer moments with his partner. I do think he's meticulous in the way he times and handles intercourse. And therefore would likely prefer and really take his time with his significant other. To properly schedule a time and place to do foreplay; which of course, translates to dirty talk. And such this may perhaps allude to a more leading role in bed.
Also, Pet Names. He's a talker so of course pet names will be used. Both inside and outside of the bedroom, I see Hoshina being the type to use Pet Names to give his partner sweet praises.
Hoshina is someone who I believe is not against the idea of degradation. But I do think he prefers praise over it. When his partner does something he particularly likes, he'd likely yap about it and praise them. Similarly, I see him as someone who's also a sucker for being praised, since he doesn't get too much of that in his life. (Or at least, he was never told outright in his face. As most characters in the manga compliment him via inner monologues or when he isn't in ear shot)
In summary, yes I think he's a yapper. In bed and out of it, he'll talk you through it. 🫡🫶
taking a break from work right now and this has been the best interpretation of hoshina's character that i've ever received, let me explain:
we can all agree that hoshina is a certified yapper. he has multiple scenes in the anime where he's either just laughing or talking (be it to someone else or to himself through some sort of an inner monologue). long story short, that guy has ALWAYS something to say.
and im crying because aside from what you have mentioned that he is intelligent and observant, he is also a natural giver. so if you're into dirty talk, he of course delivers and even exceeds expectations. the thing is he doesn't even have to try hard, when he was being created, god put an entire jar of "smooth talking skills" on him and called it a day. let's just say that his mouth is full of surprises *wink*.
i will have to agree with you on him being authoritative in the bedroom when he's being rough. don't get me wrong, usually he asks you for what you want, what you need - he is hungry for feedback, but sometimes he ups the game and just straight up tells you what needs to happen according to what he wants to happen. im officially declaring that power over you especially during intimate moments gets him off like no other. completely up to you if you wanna resist or you wanna go with it, but him being a boss is a big thing for him.
hoshina being loud in bed, oh god. this is so accurate. i've mentioned earlier that he gets demanding of feedback from you, and im pretty sure that from his end, he doesn't shy from letting you know how good he feels too. i mean, communication is key and all that. above that, he likes your reactions when he moans so win-win.
considering i don't think he has a lot of free time on his hands, he definitely treasures it when he can get you alone with him, so he would definitely take his time with you. the disadvantage is unless you explicitly beg, foreplay can last for hours. he doesn't like to see you suffering, he's just really thorough and methodic. plus, delayed gratification lol.
THE PET NAMES. he'd prefer your name, but pet names are also welcome, if only to tease you. the pet names he gives you always have "my" in front of it though, so it would be my love, my princess, my darling, my cumslut.
ten points to gryffindor because yes, for hoshina, praise > degradation. he's unique though because when he degrades you, there is still some praise in it ("you're doing so well, slut"). this boils down to his love language being words of affirmation, i'd like to think. he didn't really have a lot of experiences in the past where people would appreciate him verbally so i believe that when he gets the chance, he does it for you as a way of healing himself too. and yes lol he likes being praised too. he knows he's good at what he does, but when you compliment him for something really personal ("i like it when you hold my hand cause you make me feel safe"), i just think his eyes would turn into a heart-shaped thing.
just wanna share something that hasn't been mentioned and not nsfw but you won't have any issue with communication while dating the guy - he is honest, and open, and kind when he has to tell you something so he isn't just a yapper at that.
i'd been enjoying these, please send me more!!!

Castle Audio's Listener Headcanons
Poll Winner!!!!
(Please keep in mind that these are my own personal headcanons for the listeners I picture in my head)
Seer was legally emancipated from their parents when they were a teenager as their magic was taking a toll on them and their parent didn’t want to deal with it
Seer started at SIGHT their senior year of high school
Seer has a very unique sense of style and loves going to local thrift stores and consignment shops.... most of their wardrobe is secondhand (or made by Beth)
Seer purposely picks bad movies as a bit and watches a lot of animation in their free time
Seer still has a hard time believing that the pack actually wants them there for anything other than their magic
Ranger had a ton of plants and can tell you all the things wrong with houseplants just by looking at them
Ranger rips all the tags off of their clothes and cannot stand scratchy fabric textures
Ranger has an odd relationship with food as they grew up with an almond mom... baking has become their way of regaining control of that relationship
Ranger needs white noise to fall asleep, pure silence freaks them out
Ranger started keeping a journal after they got their memories back because they don't want to forget their time with Claire
Knight wanted Claire to teach them how to ride a motorcycle but stopped asking after she gave her's away
Knight is one of those people that hates water so Evie basically has to hold them at gunpoint to drink it
Knight is also lactose intolerant but doesn't care... They actually had no clue until they mentioned to Claire offhandedly that milk hurts
Knight has started keeping a list of nighttime date ideas to make sure that their dates with Evie don't get repetitive
Knight is terrified about how Claire is gonna react when they tell her that they plan on being turned
Bud grew up around magic so they find it very amusing how excited Abigail gets whenever they use magic for mundane things like turning the lights off or grabbing the remote
Bud has sticky note reminders all over their apartment that remind them to take their meds and to get groceries
Bud has one of those trays that attaches to their steering wheel so when they feel bored they can go get food without having to deal with the public
Bud loved drawing little doodles for Rose and loves leaving them all over her part of the desk on days she's not there
Bud's original plan was to leave glenwood after their study was over but quickly changed their mind after meeting Rose and Abigail
Sugar was born in italy but refuses to step foot back in the country for personal reasons
Sugar has a very impressive record collection and went to a ton of concerts when they were still human
Sugar is very good at math and likes helping Celine manage the court's finances
Sugar has made it very clear to the court that the diner is not to be used as a feeding ground and if they catch anyone breaking that rule than there will be major consequences
Sugar isn't too thrilled whenever Valera comes to town because not only does she poke into their personal life she also can't drive so Sugar and Silas have to become her taxi

Hello! Your blog has been incredibly helpful for me, thank you for doing what you do
Disability is a core theme of the stories I make, so accessibility is one of my most important goals. For reference, I write books but my main project is a show that’s sometimes semi-animated and sometimes similar to visual novel style dialog.
Some of the things I’m doing now are subtitles and narration that’s baked into the show itself, sticking to a simpler style of writing, and making it free to watch. It’s one part practicality and one part frustration at being told these things “ruin the experience” for others. Now they’re a core part of the experience.
But those are just the things I find personally helpful, I only have my own viewpoint. My question is what are other things I can do to make my story more accessible?
Specific things I’ve been struggling with are showing nonverbal communication (The narration covers a lot of this, but not enough) and conflicting needs. I know some things will help some people but hurt other’s experiences (ie, subtitles) which is a really hard thing to navigate! So advice on that would be helpful
Thank you!
- @interroblog
Hello lovely asker!
So I'm gonna throw out some ideas here at the start and these are in no way me saying "You have to do this". No, just me tossing some ideas out and maybe they hopefully help! 😁 Let's try this.
First off you also mentioned that it's part of your style in the way you're animating as well. I think if it's your style that you shouldn't have to change that either. It's both something that is unique to how you choose to do things and it also aids in accessibility. You shouldn't feel pressured to change it because some people find subtitles or Narration annoying. It ultimately comes down to how you want to do it, so again here are some things I could think of.
So if the site you're hosting your show on allows you to have toggle on subtitles and audio descriptions I would do that. If not what you can do is when you put your animation through you can have multiple. Kinda like with certain shows or movies you have a version in its original language and a version that's Voiced over with another language. If you want to accommodate your audience perhaps you can have a version:
Without any subtitles or audio descriptions
With subtitles
With audio descriptions
With both the subtitle and the audio description
Granted going this route may be more work than just doing it all together (I'm not 100% sure, I don't know animation very well) but it's certainly an option. I think the process of rendering and saving it at the end (having to do it multiple times) and in regards to space may be an issue.
Another thing you can do is write up a description transcript for each episode so that people can look at it for reference. Some people use screen readers or braille displays that read over this information for them if you're worried about the text itself. Here's a good example of one done from a DeafBlind film done in the 60's at Perkins [Warning for typical 60's language regarding disability]. It usually includes what an audio description would just typed out.
Another thing you can do is see and look around for anyone who is fluent in the local Sign language that your show is in and see if anyone could record and interpret it for you too, if you want to have that option for people as well.
You could also do kinda like comics and Manga do where they mark the sounds/actions on the panel/animation it self.
Tumblr media
[Manga panel from the Manga "Shino-chan can't say her name"]
For instance in this manga panel there's no dialogue but the author gives us multiple cues which the translator also translates as well. There's the foot steps with the text getting bigger and bigger letting us know that the sound is getting closer and the direction, then in the next panel we have two exclamation points letting us know she's alarmed and aware. The text of the foot steps is now darker and bold and we see the streaks around the characters hands letting us know that she hurriedly wrapped up her box. Then we have the word "Sneak" in bold lettering against the wall where the character is pearing over.
Now I'm not sure what type of nonverbal communication your using so I'm gonna go over things a little vague.
Sign Language [Mostly in ASL because that's the sign language I'm most familiar with and can understand the most]
Here's two animations by @scoliwings and they're both in ASL and the way the person made them is with captions into the animation (also they're very cute and lovely). The show ThisClose also does this with their entire Pilot episode but then only does it with their ASL scenes moving forward in the series. The people who wrote and produced the show note that while they made the show surrounding the deaf community and about the deaf community they wanted the show to reach their hearing audience.
This scene that is with a translator has no captions whatsoever. While this scene between the two main characters using ASL does have captions. Then this one does have captions that go away when the characters communicate verbally.
This is a constant thing of multiple different medias is they kinda choose between which audience they want to pertain to. And whoever they choose, it usually ends up leaving the other out or not 100% involved usually at the fault of accessibility on streaming services/wherever the media is being hosted.
If someone Deaf/Hoh wanted to watch this show and there's no captions available on whatever platform is hosting it then it wouldn't be accessible to them. And if they are fluent in ASL, those parts have captions all the way through. For instance those videos on YouTube, not all of them are accessible because they don't have the toggle on Closed Captions. So the moments where there's characters who speak English and don't sign ASL, especially if the camera isn't on them when they're talking, it's just not accessible.
In the episode "Into the Mystic" on Supernatural, they introduce Eileen's character. This is the only episode that she uses ASL by itself, every other episode she is in uses SimCom and she code switches or uses English. Again captions are in the episode Everytime ASL is used except for scenes where she's signing in the background for instance this scene. From This Gifsets by @winchestergifs
Tumblr media
[Gif of Eileen from Supernatural. She's sitting across from an older woman on a couch and she signs in American Sign Language "You" while pointing at the older woman, then she forms her fists into a 'S' shape one on top of another and moves them to the right, she then finger spells "Bait".]
It's never translated, not even in the script or the transcript. Even while this show is targeting their hearing audience they still gloss over things like this. (I also want to note that me and Mod Rock spent a while trying to figure out the second sign and came up empty handed as well 😅)
Now when it comes to Audio Descriptions, it's usually "[Character name] signs [dialogue in Verbal Language]". If it's the first time introducing the character or the character is switching languages, then specify what Sign language off the bat, ASL, BSL, ISL (SEE, SSE,) etc. It's the same as in writing that you write the character dialogue followed by "[pronoun/character name] signed". The shows that I know of that have characters using Sign language and have Audio Descriptions is The Boys (kimiko's scenes), ThisClose also has them, Bridgerton (episode 1 scene in s3, it's one scene in BSL but it's there!), and I'm pretty sure Echo does too (it should, I'm looking at you streaming service) but I've yet to watch that last one. Listening to them might help you with getting a grasp of writing them if you have any signing characters.
Ex. Eileen signs in ASL "You sure you don't want both?"
Another thing with Sign language though is body language and expressions and even things like story telling are there also. So describing an action can give a lot of context of feeling and what is going on in the scene. Here's another ASL animation that is in the works and they go more in detail of how they are animating body motion, face expressions and such. Craig of the creek is an animated kids show that also has BASL and ASL in it (and I love how they go about the characters dialogue, the signs are so well animated, and the friend translating and the others learning for him too.)
There's also Pro-tactile & Tactile Sign language. Granted I've never seen or do I know of a show/movie/short with pro-tactile in it or Tactical Sign Language but if anyone were to do that the audio description would probably be like "[Character A] puts their hands over [Character B]. [Character B] signs [dialogue]". That would be for the Hand over method which is Tactile Sign Language.
For Pro-tactile, this involves other forms of communication such as back channeling, mapping, haptics. It should be translated much the same I believe because these certain elements of the language are used to portray emotional tone, contact/interaction, as well as directions.
Here's some examples of pro-tactile and tactile sign language since I know it's not largely known: (all ASL)
Pro-tactile: Video 1 (Captions & No Voice Over), Video 2 (Captions & Voice Over) and it goes further into specifics of Hand placement, Back channeling while Standing & Sitting, Video 3 (Voice over & Captions). Here's five vlogs in PTASL also, no captions or voice over so Fluency in ASL is needed.
Tactile Sign Language: I was having a hard time finding videos (for some reason) but Here is a segment in a video where they show it. Here is another short video too!
Of course you don't want to describe every movement when it comes to Sign language but you want to describe the base movement. If someones Tracking, (this is where a person holds the wrist area of the other person who is signing so that it's in their field of vision) you might describe that before the dialogue. "[Character] puts their hands over [characters] wrist" and so on and so forth.
Haptics/Mapping may also be very similar but they're mostly used in describing the layout of an area someone is in, directions to somewhere, how to navigate the surrounding area. This is gonna be just explaining how they are moving. The same can be said with Visual Vernacular. It's movement to describe something or to tell a story it's not Sign language but a movement of general understanding. Here is a video where an interpreter details Visual Vernacular alongside ASL. Here's the one without the voice over as well.
AAC
The movie Come Play is a horror movie centered around a non-verbal boy with autism who uses an AAC app on his phone. His device is the one where speech is generated from the different buttons that correlate with the words he clicks. I couldn't find an example of an audio Description for this movie anywhere but it might be similar to the next example.
The Boys again also has scenes with Kimiko where she uses her phone to communicate and such. And the audio description usually sounds like "Kimiko types on her phone, it reads [dialogue]". The only difference in Come Play would be that the Dialogue wouldn't be narrated because it's already done so by the AAC device in the movie, but subtitles would be needed.
Speechless gives a lot of examples between low-tech and high-tech examples. This scene in particular where all the characters are in one scene. The main character (JJ) uses a laser pointer and a word/alphabet board with the assistance of an aid. In this instance the aid reads aloud everything that JJ communicates. If you're one on one though, much like with sign language, you wouldn't really read aloud everything they say especially if it's a private conversation. Instead the pov would probably show the characters AAC method they use whenever they communicate. For the audio description it might be something along the lines of "[Character] points and says [dialogue]".
I've never seen other types of AAC in media so it would probably be the same when it comes to Audio Description when describing another method like print on palm. it might be something like "[character] grabs their hand and writes [dialogue]".
In the show In The Dark the scenes with braille are described as "[character] runs their fingers over the braille, it's read [dialogue/text]". And on that topic, In the show All The Light We Can Not See, it has a really (really really really) good basis of what an Audio Description should be like. It also has multiple featurettes and an audio introduction with it that goes more in depth to explain the costumes, settings, the characters, and other visual information that is often important but left out in the audio descriptions due to the pacing of the show/film.
Immersion was the goal, much like with the production of Romeo and Juliet in PTASL that was performed. Introducing your characters and settings in a little short animation before hand or at the begining as a little segment may be something you can do/consider.
This video details some other forms of communication that I may or may not have left out (Auslan & Voice over). Finger Braille (Video of one handed with translator), Lorm Method, Touch Glove alphabet Method, and some other methods I think can all be described relatively the same. You want to describe the base action of what they're doing (writing, pointing, typing, grabbing, lifting, touching etc) and then focus on their dialogue.
Also I don't use any form of AAC to communicate so if anyone who does finds error, please correct it. Or even if there has been a discussion on this before among the community please reiterate or link to it so we have first hand experience and voices as well.
Known problems with audio Descriptions
Here's a Small history and more in depth article written by someone who needs audio descriptions. They primarily talk about its lack of rush to be used in cinema and primarily the UK.
Describing everything but the characters race: I've heard that this is an issue specifically for Netflix that the audio descriptions are good but they never mentioned the race of the character which some people have made note about. (I don't know much about this I will say just I've heard it around here and there)
Here is a post that goes more into detail about Audio descriptions as well by @accessibleaesthetics. And here is an all around really Good source as well called The Audio Description Project.
Forgetting character entrances & exits: This is important because people need to know what characters are in the scenes. Much like in a play with stage directions you need to know who comes in and when they exit.
Over describing/under describing: I read a debate about the use of over describing and under describing when it comes to AD's. The example given was when describing facial expressions. Option one is to just say "[Character] is surprised". Option two is to describe the facial expression in all its little details "[Character] opens their mouth, their eyebrows raised and eyes wide". Under describing in general seems to be a issue but when it comes to things like body/facial expressions it's best to keep it simple and to the point for another reason that I list down below.
Forgetting small details: the audio descriptions of All The Light We Can Not See, and The Boys do a fantastic job of small details. For others some things are glossed over but then don't make sense later on in the scene. For instance, if the character picks up a knife and this isn't narrated but then the part of them stabbing another person is then, it's kinda like "Oh well I guess the character picked up a knife at some point" but the exact moment isn't specified. In this article, the person who makes Audio Descriptions tells that he had described someone as Smoking a cigarette when he was in fact smoking Weed. He says the reason he realized the difference is because these are two separate substances that change the perception of the character. The little details matter because of the implications and importance to who is doing it and why, when gathering all the information and understanding a character.
Misnaming/mixing up characters: The same article I listed right before also says how mixing up characters is an issue sometimes too.
For audio descriptions in general I think listening to a few different ones might help with getting a grasp on how to do them/better do them. AudioVault is one place that if you can't find audio descriptions of your shows or movies, they might have it there. In this instance, maybe listening to your favorite movies or shows with the audio descriptions on might help you. Most shows/movies that are original to Netflix have them, the same with other streaming services like Peacock and Amazon Prime.
I don't use audio descriptions a lot because my tinnitus makes it difficult but I sometimes turn them on (when available) to understand scenes that are confusing to me. Certain actions and how the cameras frame them don't make sense to me sometimes, or even I can't see because of the lighting of the show or movie and so I need to know what's going on. This brings us to that beside people who are low vision or blind, many other people use Audio Descriptions for different reasons too. The same points can all be made for people who use Subtitles/closed captions as well.
Issues with captions/Things that need to be more common with captions
Names: Some captions have the names of the characters next to their dialogue. A lot don't do this. I think it should be done because of many reasons but mainly it makes it easier to follow along for everyone who uses captions.
Tonal Cues: As I mentioned before Tonal Cues in Captions would be so very helpful for a lot of people.
Don't censor: Don't censor swear words, slurs, anything, write it as it's said. Unless it's actually censored in the audio (which is usually done for comedic reasons) then do that.
Lyrics/music/background sounds: So not only making sure to include the songs that are playing over certain scenes but also making sure to include the soundtrack and background music that is playing. Almost every movie and show uses music as an indication for tone, often times characters or certain situations have their own theme too. These are all important to note when writing captions. The caption writers of Stranger Things did amazing when it came to background noises, writing every creak and bang is important especially if it's being heard and reacted to by either the characters or the audience.
Include language changes: This has long been an issue when you're watching something in one language and then when they switch languages it just says "Speaking in [language]". Instead write out what they said in that language. So instead of "Speaking in Spanish", actually write out "Sana sana colita de rana". If the character knows what they're saying because they speak the language you can also put another set of subtitles under it translating it. If you're doing a sorta comedic scene where the audience needs to know what is said but the character doesn't, then do the same, write it out in the language "Ay dios mio!" And then under/above it put the translation "Oh my God!".
Include different speech patterns: If the character has a stutter write it, if they're slurring their words together write it.
Auditory/Visual Learners: Some people just do better retaining and understanding information when it's in an auditory form. For some people, they're able to retain information more by reading it rather than hearing it as well.
People Who Have Trouble With Social Cues: Okay so a continuation to the "Over Describing/Under describing" bullet points above. For people who have trouble reading body/facial cues, the audio descriptions help by describing it as The character is happy, scared, shocked, surprised etc. This is part of the reason why it's best to use those words instead of describing every movement that goes into a person's expression/body language. Like wise Closed Captions with Tonal Cues would also help and serve much of the same purpose but those are rarely ever seen (in my experience).
Help People Learn The Connection Of Words And Actions: a lot of people are always learning new languages and being able to connect the word to the action helps with the understanding of new languages. Again the same for closed captions, being able to look at how words are spelt while listening to them helps grasp a better understanding.
Overstimulation: For some people looking and listening to something at the same time can be too much and it becomes overwhelming. I know I often turn off the sound to a lot of movies I watch and just use subtitles because sometimes commotion/yelling especially in like action movies is a lot. For some people, a lot of visual movement and constant rapid actions can be overwhelming as well.
Dark Screens: As I mention, especially more recently in the media industry, things are a lot harder to see nowadays. The same can be said with dialogue and why a lot of people may opt-in for subtitles and captions because things are just so hard to hear now.
The Busy Bees: Some people just like to multi-task and much like an audio book, you can do something (chores, crafting, homework etc) while listening to the show and not miss any visual information. Multi-tasking also helps some people concentrate better on what they're working on too much like music helps some people.
People With Other Medical Conditions That Make Viewing Screens Inaccessible: If your having a migraine or headaches, a screen is the last thing you want to look at, and for some people, noise is a trigger for them. They're also a known trigger for many people with epilepsy/seizure disorders. People who have photophobia also may AD due to the light sensitivity. People with ADHD, autism, Prosopagnosia, Processing Disorders, and many many other things that I can't possibly list them all, all may use Subtitles or AD's for multiple different reasons.
Okay, that was a lot, got a bit long, but hopefully I covered everything! Things could be more organized but it works so hopefully this helps! I'm not very familiar with animation so anyone who is, please feel free to add on in a reblog to share a few tips and tricks!

Tutorial - extracting stuff from Disco Elysium (+ viewing the models in blender)
Due to... recent events, I decided to finally get myself to write a tutorial about this, because all I found was some half-assed reddit comments when I was trying to figure out how to do it sometime last year.
I'll show you how to extract... pretty much everything (including voice lines) from the game.
This is a beginner tutorial, so you don't have to know shit about any of these programs, I'll try to explain everything.
I promise it's pretty easy! I extracted stuff from various games, and this is one of the easiest I ever did, so yeah.
You'll need:
Disco Elysium on PC
AssetStudio
Blender
+1 Interfacing
+2 Endurance (mostly to survive my bad jokes)
Tumblr media
First of all, open AssetStudio. You don't have to install it or anything, just unzip the file you downloaded and open the program inside (AssetStudioGUI).
Tumblr media
This is how the bad boy looks like, we'll be able to see the asset list on the left and the preview on the right.
Click on File../Load Folder.
Select the folder where the game is installed. For me it's Steam\steamapps\common\Disco Elysium\disco_Data. You can load individual files too, but it's easier to just list everything and then filter them imo.
Wait... for a while. It's a lot of assets. Make a tea or something (hydration is important).
Tumblr media
After everything loaded up, click on the Asset List tab. You can see all the stuff! Well, it's rather confusing. Let's see what is what!
Tumblr media
If you click on Filter Type, you can see the types of the assets. These are:
AnimationClip: I think these are supposed to be the animations, you can export them if you select an animator asset alongside and right click Export Animator + selected Animation Clips (couldn't get the animation to play but that's probably on me).
Animator: These are the rigged models, you can export them to .fbx format, but I couldn't figure out what to do with them in Blender because they were kinda distorted (funnily enough, when I imported it to the shitty Milkshape program it showed up just fine... and people wonder why I prefer shitty Milkshape XD) Anyway, I hope someone can figure this out that actually knows something about Blender lol.
Audio Clip: Sounds, voice lines, background music. (.wav format)
Font: Well, fonts. Can be exported and installed to your device like any fonts.
Mesh: 3D models of the characters, objects, scenes. (.obj format)
MonoBehaviour: No fucking clue.
Shader: Shaders for the game. Not interesting in our case.
Sprite: Images that the game uses: portraits, object thumbnails, user interface elements.
Texture 2D: The textures that belong to the 3D models. (.png format)
TextAsset: ??
VideoClip: The stuff that plays when you open the game.
Tumblr media
You can preview any assets (well, the ones that you can preview), if you click on them. You can view them in the right panel.
Tumblr media
You can extract by left click on the asset in the list -> Export selected assets. You can select multiple assets and export them at the same time.
Tumblr media
The program will ask you to select a folder where you want to export the stuff. It'll export them into separate folders, by assets.
Well, yeah, now you know what is what, and how to extract them, but there are still a lot of assets. Good news, you can filter them with the little search bar too, if you type in some gibberish! Some stuff are a little tricky to find.
Tumblr media
Voice lines are grouped by task / place, so if you know where the particular thing takes place, you can try to filter for those. The assets are named with the speaker's name - either a character or a skill. I think the numbers mean some kind of order, but I couldn't really figure it out. If you click on one of them, you can preview, and listen to it in the right panel! Super easy! (if you want your own daba-doop-doop-dead it's Kim Kitsuragi-YARD  HANGED MAN-556. Just saying)
For objects and characters, you can find them by name, although some characters are named differently. Like, Harry is referred as Tequila in the game files.
Basically if you want to have a character or an object extracted, you’ll need to extract a mesh and a texture that belongs to it. You can quite literally play dress-up game with Harry, because all of his clothes are separate files (and named with kinda the clothing item name). The Kineema has multiple parts (exterior - interior - door - whatever else).
Anyway, let's move on to the Blender part before I forget how to do it (I learned it this morning lol). (Disclaimer: I don't know jack shit about Blender, I use it for extracting stuff and creating the simplest shapes in existence. I use the godforsaken program Milkshape on a daily basis.)
Open Blender.
Tumblr media
Hit delete to get rid of this beautiful default cube.
Tumblr media
File.../Import.../Wavefront (.obj)
Tumblr media
Select the thing you want to import (I'll import the gremlin child).
Tumblr media
There he is! And he doesn't fucking care!
Btw, you can zoom with the middle mouse button scroll or middle mouse button + Ctrl, rotate with middle mouse button, move the view with middle mouse button + Shift. So you can see his itty-witty mischievous face from very close!
Tumblr media
Now, that's great, but he doesn't have textures still. First of all, change the Viewport Shading to Material Preview.
Tumblr media
Select him (just click on him, you'll see an orange outline). And go to the Material Properties tab on the side.
Tumblr media
Click on the little dot next to Base Color, and select Image Texture.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Click on the Open button that appeared out of nowhere, and search for the Cuno texture.
Tumblr media
Tada! He looks beautiful now! (and he still doesn’t fucking care)
You can do the same with any 3D models, objects from the game, really.
Well, that's it lol. I hope it made sense! And I really hope someone runs away with extracting the animators + animations, because I'm pretty sure it's doable, I just have no clue how.

Dream falls in love with Hob's voice before he ever sees him.
Ooo yes!!! I'm thinking maybe... audio book narrator Hob? Or maybe he voices Dream’s favourite character in an animated show or a video game? Either way, Dream is obsessed with his soft, gentle voice. He's too scared to ever Google Hob properly because he couldn't bear the disappointment of finding out that Hob is married/an arsehole/just not as sexy as Dream has been imagining. But he avidly consumes everything that has Hob’s voice in it, and happily fantasises all kinds of romantic and dirty things about him.
Now, Hob has a decent career in voice acting, but maybe he's got debts, so he needs a side hustle. He picks up work at a local pub, which he enjoys. One night an entire family apparently comes in and sits down for drinks. Among them is a sulky looking goth guy who looks like he'd rather be absolutely anywhere on earth.
Which is true, Dream would much rather be at home (listening to Hob talk). He tunes out his siblings and sulks, looking around the pub.
And then he hears a very, very familiar voice.
"I've made up my mind. I'm not going to die." The guy behind the bar says to one of the patrons, who laughs and shakes their head. Dream gawps openly and waits on bated breath. "You lot may die. I expect you will, cause you're stupid." The guy continues. "Not me, though."
It's definitely Hob, 100%. And he's better than Dream could have imagined. Not beautiful, no. But real flesh and blood, with soft eyes and a crooked grin.
Dream walks towards the bar before he can stop himself, and leans across. "You must tell me what it's like. Living forever." He purrs, watching as Hob turns to him and those lovely brown eyes spark with interest.
Hob smirks. "Maybe I will." He agrees. "Over dinner?"

A little something different...
I thought I'd talk about this electronic toy I imported from Korea, the WishCat WishPad! It's super cute, but... somewhat scammy!?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Based on the WishCat Korean animated series by the same studio that brought TeeniePing, the WishPad has a 2.8 inch touch screen and comes with a stylus (that can be separated in half as the feather part has a sensor), a strap, one card, card portfolio pages, activity pages, and a binder than can hold all the pages as well as the device itself.
I find that the home button on my device keeps getting stuck, and I noticed that there is some extra acrylic that jams it, so must be a manufacturer error with just mine.
The device has 20 games, the ability unlock Wish Cats to care for, a shop so you can renovate your room, and some pointless profiles for human characters from the animated series. Here is what I think of it!
Pros:
Audio - It has cute music and a lot of spoken dialogue, including cute cat meow sounds. The speaker isn't the best quality of course, but I am very pleased with all the audio.
Graphics - The animations aren't very smooth, but the sprites themselves are super cute and in the mini-games there is usually a lot of detail on screen. The device sometimes even displays the full-on 3D artworks as the characters appear in the show.
Exterior design - The design of this device is intricate and dazzling! Every detail, including the little cat ears and paws, is gorgeous!
Variety of games - 20 games is a lot, and they're of varying difficulty and styles. Many of them are really basic but I still find myself failing to win sometimes even as an adult. A few are like "move the character to avoid or collect objects", but there's a Bejeweled-style game, dress-up games, a tennis game, a very simplified rhythm game, etc.
Battery level on display - The device takes four AAA batteries and there is a meter with 4 bars in the upper right of the screen sometimes, so you know how much power is left. Oddly while I was playing, the meter went down to 3 bars but later back up to 4 bars haha.
Decent touch screen - I've had touch screen toys where the touch sensors were literally divided into only 4 areas... Thankfully, this is more like a normal touch screen even if there's a slight delay to respond. You can even move your cats around on the main room screen, which I find nice because you can choose precisely where you want each cat to sit!
Cons:
This device is almost useless unless you buy separate figures. You do NOT earn ANY points for playing a game UNLESS you have scanned a card from a separately purchased figure, after which the corresponding game's "Star mode" will be unlocked. This means you CANNOT buy any wallpaper or furniture for your room unless you buy additional figures. You better hope the figure you bought corresponds to a game that isn't too hard to win, and that you're okay with playing the same game tons of times for points. Additionally, you cannot care for any cats beside Iemeow, or read ANY profiles for any of the cats, unless you buy these extra figures. I understand the former so that scanning the cards will have more incentive, but the latter bothers me because the boring human profiles are readily available. Thankfully I bought 5 Wish Cat figures as well, but the fact that an entire feature (buying furniture and customizing your room) is paywalled feels scammy to me.
Even if you do buy figures, you have to grind - You earn 20 points for winning a game that you have scanned a card for. How much is the cheapest customization item? 1000 points. The most expensive is 20,000 points. Three of the games have a "Special mode" where you can win 300 points instead of 20. For each of these three games, you need to scan 5-7 unique and specific cards to get Special Mode. I find this quite predatory considering the toy is for young children and the figures with the cards cost $10 or so each. Despite me buying 5 figures, they aren't the right ones for any of the exact lists, so no Special modes for me!
You cannot pet the cats! - I was almost devastated to discover this! Despite the touch screen, if you touch the cat while in care mode, nothing happens. Instead, you can choose petting under one of the options and WATCH a hand pet the cat... I saw this petting animation in marketing and assumed you could pet the cat manually, so I am a bit disappointed!
The card it comes with doesn't really do anything - It's a card of Iemeow (the default cat on the device), but it does NOT unlock Iemeow's profile or Star mode for her game. It just plays the Wish Cat music theme and a simple looping animation of all the Wish Cats. That is still cute and nice, but I had thought it would at least unlock her profile... You still need to buy the separate Iemeow figure for all that.
Neutral aspects:
The stylus has a sensor, but... - In care mode, you can choose to feed, bathe, or play with your cat and to activate the option you selected, you have to touch the base of the plastic feather to the emerald above the screen. This is cool, but if you lose the stylus or even just the removable feather bit, you won't be able to care for the cats at all.
You can get extra foods and toys, but... - They are single use. And to get a new food or toy, your Wish Cat has to have a full meter, and their meter will empty after you exchange it for the new item. So, you deplete your Wish Cat's meter entirely in exchange for an item that will increase the meter by 2 bars once... It's a little odd. But the extra toy animations are cute, at least.
Sorry for the long post. I know I complained a lot, but I just wanted to express my thoughts on this toy! It was very expensive but I do not regret buying it; it is very cute and I like electronic toys that have a lot of games. I just hope the figures show up on AliExpress at some point so I can get more (International shipping from Korea destroyed my bank account lol).

wait the altdrdt characters have names? who's who? which one is xf?
oh, sorry, i forgot that folks who either weren't around when the characters were first introduced or just forgot might not know which altdrdt cast member is which! i'll clarify for you.
so, to be clear, none of the altdrdt characters have official names. this is (currently) stated on the FAQ page. however, to make talking about the characters easier, DRDT fans on Tumblr (at least) came up with some code names with which to refer to the characters. there were a lot of them floating around, but i think the ones that most people settled on were made by xmicrophonyx and pastelclownkitty. you can find all of the basic info you need in that linked post, but i'm going to keep talking to go into a little more detail as to why the names were chosen, and show the updated cast photo with the few sprite changes.
so, from left to right:
Tumblr media
Swirl: this is because of the swirls in her hair.
Soundwave: this is because of the audio level-like decal on his shirt.
XF: this is because of the logo on their jacket and the pin on their tie, which matches with Min's-- symbols of the XF-Ture Tech company.
Dandelion: this is because of the dandelion in his hair.
Scale: this is because of the scale pattern on his shirt.
Teacher: this is because his talent is all but confirmed to be the Ultimate Teacher. in fact, as of the Christmas 2023 comics, this codename may be canon*.
Bullet: this is because of his belt buckle, which is reminiscent of a truth bullet. the dog tags also imply that he may have a connection with the military.
Ram: this is because of her goat-like pupil design and hair arranged to look like a sheep's horns.
Fire: this is because of the fire pattern on her shirt, her apparently fiery personality, and to match with who we assume to be her twin brother, Ice.
Ice: this is because of the snowflake pattern on his shirt, his apparently cold personality, and to match with who we assume to be his twin sister, Fire.
Crown: this is because of the crown pin in her hair.
*although not confirmed to be canon, there's a decent chance that the characters in this fangan will canonically be referred to by code names, as opposed to their real names. this is because two of our prior attempts, naming the characters "one" through "eleven" and naming the characters by Greek alphabet letters, were shot down. the Greek alphabet may have just been due to personal distaste (DRDTdev said he found the names "arbitrary"), but the numbers were vetoed because one of the characters' names was confirmed to be a number (here's wist-eri's screenshot of DRDTdev's comment). combined with the fact that Teacher refers to himself as, well, Teacher in that comic, if one character goes by a number and one goes by Teacher, it's possible that everyone will be using words in place of names. however, it's also possible that someone goes by a number name for separate reasons, and Teacher was just referring to himself as that for the sake of not giving us spoilers/in the same way that anime characters sometimes just call a character "sensei."
anyways, if you want some additional reading about the altDRDT cast, you can check out my initial guesses as to what their talents might be, and/or gleamingtempest's super cool theory that the characters will be based off of the 12 animals of the lunar calendar zodiac (which i also hijacked 😅). there are plenty of other great speculations and pieces of art in either the #altdrdt or #drdtalt hashtags, too!
